New Normal?
'Sometimes I expect too much from people and i'm always the one getting hurt'
I decided to leave my long dark curls down. I never had to do much with my hair to make it look nice and I was glad about that.
"If you don't hurry up, the bus will leave without you!" I heard my mom yell from down stairs.
It was my first day at Beacon Hills High and I was not looking forward to it.
April talked to Violet and Garrett two days ago and they seem nice enough since they agreed to take me under their wing.
I took one last look at myself in the mirror, then grabbed my bag and swung the door open, which was exactly the same time Liam's door opened across from me.
He stood there glaring at me, and I just rolled my eyes and proceed going down the stairs.
"Morning." Liam and I said in unison to our mom.
"Morning to you to, have a good day at school both of you, I know this is a big change but I'm really hoping it all works out." We both nodded in unison.
"And grab a granola bar or something, you haven't had any breakfast yet." She assured us.
I didn't like eating breakfast it actually made feel sick to my stomach. I could never keep anything down in the mornings, but I didn't mind granola bars.
"Here." Our mother said pointing granola bars each at Liam and I.
Liam grabbed the granola bar that was pointed to me and I gave him a questionably look, I was about to protest when our mother cut me off. Knowing niece we start arguing we would probably never stop.
"Why did you do that?"
"Lux doesn't like cinnamon she likes chocolate chip ." He said it like it was obvious, with his mouth full of the pieces from the granola bar, while he left the house.
I took the chocolate chip granola bar from my mom that was suppose to be given to Liam. It was true I hated cinnamon. I saw a smile form on mothers face but ignored it, there was nothing to smile about.
Once I got out the house, I already spotted the school bus waiting for us in the distant. I caught up to my brother.
"Look don't mess this up for me, I really want to fit in to this school." My brother Liam stated.
I gaped at him, me mess this up for him, for us! yea cause I was the one who goes on a rampage and made the whole school hate us, but I stayed quiet.
I wasn't in the mood to fight with him this morning and that's all we did was fight, it's like our hatred for one another grew each day.
We use to be close but that was a long time ago before the incident. That i'll gladly never talk about. Let just say it was better this way.
To hate each other that is.
People might say twins are always the closest, but not us, we couldn't be any further apart.
As we were reaching the bus my brother quickly broke the silence.
"I have lacrosse tryouts today so you have to stay back after school." He said quickly hopping up onto the bus before I could protest.
He suddenly stopped causing me to bump into him. He turned around acting as if he forgot something.
"And if you dare talk to any lacrosse players- "
"You'll what demolish my car too." I smirked smugly causing a few people to turn to us.
I saw Liam tense up and he quickly snapped out of it glaring at me, and then he turned to sit beside Mason.
I stupidly just noticed the bus was moving and I needed to take a seat. I gave a slight smile to Liam's friend Mason whom I really like, as friends of course, I mean he's gay.
I walked down to the end of the bus plopping on the seat. I didn't even notice there was people beside me.
"Your Lux right? Liam's sister." A guy who had striking resemblance to Barbie's boyfriend Ken asked me. He had blonde hair and blue eyes and beautifully tanned skin with a very innocent smile.
Like seriously no one looks like that. But I couldn't deny that he was good looking.
"Yea how did you guess." I asked curiously.
"The eyes, you both have the same eyes and look like each other an awful lot."
I had to forced my self not to roll my eyes, I didnt want to come off as rude, anyway it wasn't the first time people say I look like my brother.
I mean for being different genders we really pulled off the obvious twin look. Except my hair is darker than his while his is fair, well sometimes.
"I met your brother over the break and in this mornings lacrosse practice." He finished.
Great his friends with my brother.
"And you are." I asked not meaning to sound rude.
He chuckled and even though it was suppose to annoy me, I couldn't help but admire the sound of it.
"I'm Garrett and this is Violet." He said pointing to the girl next to him, that I just fully noticed.
I recognised the names.
"Your April's friends, oh hi." I said blushing a bit.
"Yea" He chuckled and he looked back up at me again."Your cute when you blush." which made me blush harder.
I glanced at Violet but she didn't look fazed by this, in fact she was still smiling at me since Garrett introduces them, this is what April probably meant about it was complicated.
We talked the whole ride to school, and I was completely oblivious to Liam shooting daggers at me.
I have to admit Beacon Hills wasn't half as bad as I thought , yes it wasn't as big as Devenford Prep since Devenford was basically a rich school, but it was still strangely good, it had a good environment.
Classes flew by and I honestly loved all my classes. I was currently having lunch in the cafeteria with Garrett and Violet and a few other people, I didn't know the names of.
"So are you going." Garrett asked.
I must have been zoning out, because I didn't even know he was talking in the first place, he started laughing so I knew he noticed I wasn't listening.
"Lacrosse practice, Violet can't go because she has some business to take care of." He said smirking at Violet who smiled back.
I nodded."Yea I have to stay with my brother any- wait your a lacrosse player." I stuttered out stunned.
"Yea, didn't you notice this long lacrosse stick sticking out of my bag." He chuckled which was music to my ears. "I told you that's were I met Liam your brother, at lacrosse practice."
I was still in shock he was a lacrosse player, and my brother specifically told me to stay away from them, not that I really care what he says, he's only seven minutes older than me.
Even though Garrett's hot and trust me he is, I get this weird vibe from him, from Violet as well, but I'll let it slide everyone has their secrets.
"So are you coming." Garret asked snapping me out of my daydream that I seriously have to stop doing.
"Yea sure." I smiled standing up to leave for lacrosse tryouts.
Oh goody.

Not the best chapter I know, this was also a type of filler chapter for Lux.
As the chapters go on they'll start to be less of a filler chapters and way more longer so don't worry.
This marks the first appearance of Liam Dunbar since he was only mentioned in chapter one.
'What do you think of the twins relationship?
