~Chapter 15~

Tommy walked the hall with the older brother following, the man in the trenchcoat taking in the abandoned place with sorrow filled eyes. Tommy was jumping with excitement, the most he’s felt since his sentance to exile. Its not everyday that you’re once dead brother comes back to life afterall. “You’ve missed a lot, but I’m sure I can fill you in!” Tommy looked being himself towards the man, the others eyes switching to look into his own. They were the same eyes, yet they felt so different to the young teen. They felt like they’ve seen all the mysteries of the world, and stories that should never be told were locked behind them. At least he seemed sane though, nothing like how he was in Pogtopia towards his end. The brunette smiled, his eyes turning softer by the avians words.

“I’m sure you will, Toms.” Wilbur said, though his eyes made their way to the teens back, where two wings should be visible. It was flat though, as if the two apendages never existed in the first place. The brunette leaked even more torn. Tommy chose to ignore this, looking forwards again and letting his once happy smile fall away.

“It’s been lonely without you, you know. A lot has happened since you… died.” Wilbur hummed, still seeming distant and in his own little world. “I… missed you.” Nothing came from that sentence, just silence that seemed to build with intensity and unspoken questions.

“Are you living here?” Tommy nodded, looking back as he mustered up a small smile. “Have you been living here since I died?”

“What? No. Once the revolution was over this place was basically abandoned. It’s been rotting away and I’ve only recently been using it as my home.” The teen chuckled out. “It’s perfect y’know. For a base, enough room and the beginnings for it were basically set up for me. I just had to come back in and fix things up a bit.” He explained, looking around the area they were walking in.

“You… do got a point I suppose. Just thought you’d be living with Techno or something.” Tommy was silent for a while before shrugging.

“After the revolution me and Techno weren’t really on good terms. I’ve only recently began to mend our relationship.” Wilbur showed up at Tommy’s side, brown eyes searching in Tommy’s blue.

“I see… and Phil?” Tommy’s lips grew in a thin line, eyes becoming cold at the mere mention of the man.

“Haven’t really talked to him after he killed you, wasn’t sure I would have tried even if he hadn’t done that. Just the icing on the cake I needed.” Tommy spat out. “Horrible father, and then he kills his own son…” Something in Wilbur’s expression made Tommy’s voice fade off, his steps slowing down just as the adults own were. “What’s wrong?” Wilbur looked uncertain, eyes looking towards the stoe floor.

“I…” Wilbur still looked unsure. “I asked him to kill me, He killed me because I asked him to.” Tommy’s face grew pale, eyes looking over his older brothers face for any indication that he was lying. “He found me, and when I blew up L’manburg I asked him to kill me, handed him my own sword and everything. I-I didn’t want to face everyone after what I did! I was already in such a horrible headspace… I didn’t want to see what you would think of me afterwards. It just didn’t help that… that he showed up, and saw what I had become.” wilbur quickly wiped a tear away from his cheek, forcing his glossy eyes to meet Tommy’s own. “I shouldn’t have done what I did, I shouldn’t have left you alone. And I wish that I could go back and change what I have done, so I could be alive and that I could have been there to protect you- But I wasn’t.” Tommy took a step back.

“Wilbur?” The newly alive man paused, his eyes once again looking down towards the hallway floor.

“I know Tommy, I know what happened.” Tommy’s blood ran cold, hands shaking as he looked at the other in fear.

“What… do you mean… you know everything.”

"I know what happened to you.” Tommy stood frozen, his fists the only things moving. Wilbur walked forwards, arms opening as he took the other into them, embracing the teen tightly. “I’m so sorry… I shouldn’t have…” Tommy hugged back, pulling his older brother closer as tears began to run down his face. “You shouldn’t have to go through any of this. You shouldn’t have to be on a server that is like this-”

“There is no point in saying shouldn’t. We can’t go back and change anything that’s happened. All we can do is keep going forward and that at some point it gets better.” Tommy interrupted, his voice small as he spoke. Wilbur hugged the other tighter, one of his hand reaching up to pull Tommy’s head closer to his chest. Like this Tommy could escape, pretend he was a child again in their small cabin and that nothing had went wrong. They were a happy family with dinner on the stove and Tubbo and Fundy in the living room sword fighting even though Wilbur had told them that was an outside activity.

“Even so, you don’t deserve to go through all this. And I had a hand in that.” Tommy shook his head no at the mans words.

“You didn’t mean to, you weren’t in the right headspace. I know you, you didn’t know what you were doing. You were losing it you just wanted it all to end. I can’t blame you for that I wanted it all to end too.” Wilbur pulled away, his sad brown eyes looking as if they want to say so much to the teen.

“I’m not gonna leave again, I wont let myself leave your side. I’m sorry that I was gone for so long, but you don’t have to worry anymore, ok?” Tommy sniffled as he nodded, more tears leaving his watery eyes. The brunette wiped away the blonds tears after the silence, ruffling the teens hair right after. Tommy let out a small laugh, swatting the hand away as Wilbur began to laugh as well.

“I missed you.” Wilbur smile grew warm.

“I missed you too, little bird.”

Tommy watched as wilbur looked over his plan, brown eyes calculating as he takes in the information. “It’s a good plan, I’m very proud of you.” Wilbur says, looking up with a smile. Tommy smiles back, taking another sip of his hot chocolate before speaking.

“I myself am proud of the plan, didn’t think that it would have been so fool proof at first.” Wilbur chuckled.

“Well, you were always good at strategies, its only you now are putting those skills to good use. It’s about time you used them for more than a prank.” Tommy huffed a laugh, rolling his eyes even though the smile on his face grew bigger.

“It’s nice to see that you think that.” Tommy says.

“So Phil and Techno will be helping with this attack you said?” Tommy nods.

“Them and the hundred of wolves I’ll be bringing.” Tommy snickers. Wilbur looks over towards the one that sat in the planning room, the wolf sleeping curled up and silent near Tommy’s feet. “Its name is Dove, it was one of the few I brought here.” Tommy leaned down, letting his fingers run through its silky coat. “A real sweetheart, I plan to keep her even after destroying L’manburg. Honestly will be keeping all the ones that survive.” Wilbur smiles, himself leaning down as he pet the wolfs head.

“You always wanted a dog when you were younger, it’s nice to see that you finally have a canine companion like you always wanted.” Tommy hums in agreement, leaning back up as he grabbed hold of the plans that sat infromt of Wilbur, folding them up as he placed them back into the backpack he had sitting on the table. It was for when he went back to Technoblade’s. Whenever that was now. “How do you feel about Philza?” The question caught the other offguard, blue eyes turning to meet curious brown. He thought for a moment, how he truly thought of the man that was his biological father. He was nothing more than that to the teen, even if he wished it wasn’t true sometimes. His fists tightened, jaw clenching as he tried to think of how to put how he felt into words.

“He’s working with me on destroying L’manburg. Other than that me and the asshole don’t speak to one another.” Tommy answers, watching the way the older brother will react. The newly revived man only nodded, eyes seeming distant. “He left us, and then he had killed you- even if you had asked him to do that, I will never forgive him for what he did.”

“He doesn’t deserve any forgiveness for leaving us, he will have to deal with the consequences for that. My death isn’t his fault, and even though I have the man I will have to tolerate him for now. But that means we have to be civil with him.” Tommy said nothing. “He is helping us afterall, wether we want it or not. We need his help.” Wilbur sighs, grabbing on of the plans up studying it. “I know what you’ve done, and I know what will happen. It’s only a matter of time before you wake up and realize that too.”

“What? What do you mean?” Wilbur smiles, eyes still distant.

“Don’t worry about it.”

Three Days Later. . .

Tommy Treked through the snow, his cloak wrapped around himself as he walked through the snowy trees and towards Technoblade’s house. Dove, the only wolf that Tommy allowed to follow him around, was also with him. It jumped around in the snow, running ahead and back to its owner as it barked and happily wagged its fluffy tail. It was hard to see Dove sometimes, as the wolf was pure white and blended in so well. Wilbur was behind him, treanchcoat done up and eyes looking around the area around them with a sort of sparkle in his eye. Tommy remembers when he saw this place for the first time too, it was very pretty and awestrucking for him at first. Now it was just another trek to his older brothers house. “This is were Technoblade lives now?” Wilbur asks. Tommy nods, smiling as he looks back towards the other brother.

“He was trying to get away from everyone, live a simple life as he says. The butcher army decided to attack him and now he wants to end L’manburg. He says their the reason he was almost exicuted.” Wilbur hums in response, trying to take in the new information that the blond has provided. “Gotta love the people on this server, always thirsty for a new war to win, or just fighting in general.” Tommy chuckles out.

“That is one of the few things I do not miss about this server.” Wilbur chuckles out, finally showing up at Tommy’s side. “It seemed every day someone was fighting someone for something. That or a new war springs up and you got to prepare to run for you life.” Tommy laughs at his words, his smile growing brighter. It wasn’t too funny, but Tommy still laughed. Maybe because what Wilbur was saying was true, and Tommy just thought is was so funny that this is actually how their server works. Maybe it was just the pain he felt trying not to escape, and instead he laughed to try and hide from the pain instead. Whatever the case, Wilbur was doing the same thing, so Tommy must be doing something that any other normal person would do at hearing how horrible your home server was.

When they finally reached Technoblade’s house, he wasn’t too surprised to find Technoblade waiting outside for his arrival. He had told the piglin hybrid ahead of time he’d be here, as the other sibling had requested. What he wasn’t expecting was for the pinkette to summon his sword and point it towards the figure following him. Wilbur stopped, slowly nearing his twin with a awkward smile.

Tommy tapped Techno’s sword, a smal smile on his face. The man now recognizing who the stranger was, now looked stunned and bewildered. “Yeah, sorry I didn’t know how to tell you that I was bringing him.” Techno looked from Tommy to Wilbur, finally putting his sword away and sighing as he turned towards his cabin.

“I don’t even want to know, ok? So let’s just get to planning before dad gets here.” Wilbur paused at the mention of Philza, eyes growing wide and skin paling.

“Phil lives here?” Techno turned towards the brunette, brow raised before slowly nodding his head. “I-I didn’t think he’d be here.” The pigling hybrid huffed a laugh.

“Well, he’s not here yet. But he helps with the planning so he will eventually be here.” With this the warrior began to walk away, leaving Wilbur feeling stupid and a quietly chuckling Tommy behind to follow him.

“I-I knew I was going to see him, I just…” Tommy nods, patting the man on the shoulder with a reassuring smile.

“Listen, we don’t got to pay attention to him, ok? Just stay civil, like you said.” Wilbur slowly nods, looking towards the teen with a strained smile.

“Yeah… Civil.”
