Chapter 10.

Dylan's P.O.V•

I threw the covers off my face with a sigh.  "Another fucking day." I muttered as I climbed out of bed with a yawn. I headed for the bathroom, my phone in my hand as I called Isabelle.

Raven had dinner with us, I didn't go to the friendly dinner with Christian anymore because well, he wasn't answering my calls and I was already hours late and then he switched off his cellphone. I texted him an apology but of course he was not going to reply to that, I knew he was mad and he did have every right to be mad, I mean I did say I would show up.

Raven went home after dinner and my mom did seem to like her but also told me to be careful. "This one is a good person, she does have a good heart but she will give you trouble." Mom said, and mom was never wrong.

And oh, she knew that whole study thingy was a lie. I am not even surprised.

Flashback

"You know you've gotta do better" Mom spoke.

I frowned as I looked up from the dishes I was washing, and at her.

"What'd you mean?" I was confused.

"Did you actually think I'm stupid?"

"Well, it kinda depends but what are you going on about?" I questioned.

"The study thing?" She laughed. "Really? Did you think i was gonna believe that?"

"I'm not sure why you wouldn't," I shrugged.

"How old do you really think I am?"

"Fifty four?" I answered jokingly.

She smacked me at the back out of my head, making me squeal in pain.

"Mom!!!!"

"That was rhetorical."

"How was I supposed to know?"

I knew.

She smiled. "Well that's what you get. I hope you two didn't..."

"If you are talking about sex and sperm and all that stuff, then no." I said as I went back to doing the dishes. "Nothing happened because when a boy and a girl are alone together in a room, it doesn't mean they want to have sex, I mean not all teenage boys and girls are like that." I told her.

"Raven is a nice girl," I shrugged. "She is a friend of mine like I told you, she does have a boyfriend too and the only relationship Raven and I have, is the one called friendship."

"It's a shame. I really like her though. You both have a great bond. Lying and acting all smart to the queen of lies" she said with a chuckle as she poured herself a glass of water.

"I'm glad you know everything that does come out of your mouth is a lie." I said.

Mom laughed as she took a sip of her water while I smiled.

" So, where is your husband? Haven't seen him in some days."

Not that I care.

"Well, I am glad you've noticed." She smiled as she leaned on the counter.

"I just haven't heard a buzzing sound in a while so I just assumed he had disappeared."

Mom chuckled.

"Well. In case you wanna know. He's out on a business trip. He's been gone the whole weekend thanks for noticing that. He'll be back in two days"

"Is that a code word for he has a family some place else and he is cheating?" I cocked my brow. "Cause..."

"Dylan!" Mom raised her voice.

I stopped what I was doing and turned to her. "Sorry."

"I trust your father. And he loves you, how long do you plan on punishing him for?"

I chuckled. "For as long as I breathe."

Mom sighed.  "You really are something."

"Oh, I know, and I think you are pretty too"

"Call your father."

"Sure," I smiled. "As soon as I stab my ears and my eyes, I will." I told her.

"You know one day someone's gonna slap you so hard for this sarcasm thing that has been going on since you came out of my womb. Sometimes I wonder if I gave birth to a sarcasm book in.....a human form."

"Mother." I dramatically gasped. "I am offended" I said softly as I placed my left hand on my chest.

"See what I mean?" Mom shook her head. "I give up." She said and dropped the glass, raising her hands in surrender while I chortled.

"Mom."

"You have five minutes to finish up those dishes or no lunch money for you tomorrow" she said as she walked out of the kitchen.

My smile disappeared.

"Wh..what? Mom..th....THAT'S NOT FAIR" I yelled to her hearing but she just ignored me and went upstairs. "MOMMA!"

Flashback Ends.

I chuckled at the thought of it. My mom was something else as well, and Oh, I finished up the dishes in exactly ten minutes and took my lunch money last night!

"Well, have fun today, pretty boy." Isabelle said.

"I will, now you have a great day too."

"Of course, i will. Bye babes."

"Bye." I hung up.

"Mom!!" I called out as I walked down the stairs carrying my backpack. I was putting on black cargo pants and a white sweater. "Mom!!"

"I'm right here! Jesus! Maybe next time, search for me before yelling my name." She said as she placed two plates of bacon and eggs on the kitchen table.

"Sorry, ma'am" I grinned and rushed, sitting on one of the chairs, I took a bite first. "Uhh, this tastes so good."  I continued eating and then noticed she was still in her yellow, butterfly decorated pyjamas and messy hair.

"What? No work today? Did they finally realise you weren't useful and fired you?" I asked before taking another bite. "....cause if they did, they took a while to realise that." I smiled at her

Mom jaw dropped. I wiggled my brows at her with a grin, she just smiled back at me which made me worry. Mom? Smiling? What is she-

My thoughts were interrupted once she grabbed my food.

"Nuuuu...mom!"

"You're going to go to school now cause I think you've eaten enough."

"Mom, come on! I was joking." I tried to take it back but slapped my hand with hers making me pull them back in pain and rub it. "Ow!"

"Alright, go now."

I stood up. "I'm gonna call child services, you are physically abusive. Domestic violence is wrong and you have just starved me. Your son!!!"

"How about I show you how domestic violence works." Her brows furrowed at me as she ate.

I swallowed.

"Jesus Christ. Woman. You're scary" I said and began to head for the door.

"Say Hi to Raven for me" she yelled to my hearing.

"If I don't forget!!" I yelled back as I walked out the door.

****

I walked into the school with a smile, my headphones on, as the song Treat you better played through my headphones.

"Hello, stranger" A hand pulled down my headphones. I frowned, wondering who must have when I saw Jaxton standing beside me with a big smile.

"Well, hi hi. If it isn't one of my favorite people in Eastwood." I said and he chuckled.

"How are you?" He asked as we walked to my locker.

"I am alright, how are you doing?"

"I'm good. Can't believe we haven't hung out in a while, jackass."

"Not my fault, detention's got me and Lois Griffin even visited me yesterday." I shrugged.

Jaxton gave me a confused look. "Who?"

"Oh, I meant Raven." I said as I stood in-front of my locker.

"Nooo. Y'all had fun without me?" He whined like a child and pouted, making me laugh.

"No, its not that. I mean, yeah we did but Raven just popped out of nowhere, appearing at my doorstep. One minute we were texting and then boom, she's at my house." I shrugged.

"I heard someone say my name." A voice said and we both turned to our left to see Raven walking towards us, dressed in a black leather skirt and a white sweater.

"Ah. Speak of the devil..."

"...and she will appear." Raven finished up.  She gasped once she saw me. "We are matching!" She said and locked arms with me.

"Cute."

"Hello, Jaxjax." She beamed at him.

"Hey Rayray"

Raven gasped. "I love it." She grinned.

"You better love Killer Frost better" I said as I opened my locker.

"Hey," Raven tapped my shoulder lightly. "Three o'clock" Raven muttered to our hearing.

Jax frowned, confused again.

"You guys have plans by three?" He asked.

"Not that, I meant....look." She titled her head and we all looked.

It was Christian at his locker.

"Oh. Christian." my heart skipped a fearful beat.

"What? Should we be scared of him? What am I missing?" Jaxton asked.

"I'll fill you in, love. Christian asked Dylan out on a date."

"Not a date." I interrupted.

"...and the date was by six in the evening." she totally ignored me "—but our dear Dylan here forgot ." She said and flashed a smile at me.

A disappointed one.

"Oooh shoot. That is awful" Jaxton frowned at me.

I know. I know.

"I know." Raven chuckled. "Did you call him last night?"

"I did. I mean, I tried but...no answer from him and then it was switched off. I mean, what-else can I do?" I sighed.

"Oh God, that is bad. I mean, I do not blame him for not wanting to talk to you. I mean you bailed on him." Jaxton shrugged.

"Well, I didn't mean to. I just.....forgot. Thanks to Dana Scully." I looked over at Raven.

It really was her fault.

"Me?" She blinked, surprised.

"You came over and I just forgot my phone downstairs and you had gossip and then I just forgot."

"Boy, shut the fuck up. I wasn't the one who didn't tell your forgetful ass not to put an alarm for it!"

"Shut up."

"Okay." Jaxton cleared his throat. "Instead of you both arguing about whatever has already happened, how about you, Dylan, go talk to that hottie before he leaves." Jax advised.

"Talk? What do I say? I apologise for not showing up?"

"That's how apologies work, isn't it?" Raven asked.

"I will stab you in your left boob."

She gave me the middle finger

"Dylan, focus." Jaxton said.

I sighed. "You're right." I said and turned to Raven. "We're not done yet"

"Yeah, this is what I get for getting you ice cream." She fake smiled.

I stopped myself from laughing, keeping a straight face and then walking over to Christian with my fingers crossed.

When I got close I turned back to Raven and Jax, they both gave me a thumbs up and I smiled. Why was I freaking out this bad?

"Hi," I said and he turned. He just flashed me a weak smile and went back to whatever he was doing in his locker.

Okay. Do not make this harder than it already is.

"Christian, I am so so so sorry."

"You said you weren't gonna bail, why did i think you wouldn't?" He scoffed.

He was hurt?

Of course he was!

Cover up Dylan. Say the truth. Do something.

"Christian. I can't say how sorry I am. I lost my phone and we were...having a family meeting. When we were done I couldn't find it. Till it was late and then I tried calling and texting. I'm so so so so so sorry Chris" I apologized sincerely.

Lies. Dylan. You bloody liar.

God forbid i say i forgot.

Christian looked at me and then smiled softly. "Oh, that is uh, that is alright. Is everything okay at home?"

"Yes, I mean now it is."

"That's great. I guess I was kinda hurt that you didn't show up, I am sorry for acting immature." He chuckled softly.

"No. God no. Don't apologise."

Please don't.

"I have to. Family comes first."

"Oh Yes. Yes. It does" I nodded slowly.

"I thought you forgot or something." he chuckled.

"What? No!" My voice was high pitched.

I cleared my throat. "I wouldn't forget something so important." I nervously laughed.

"Yeah, I sound like a jerk, don't I?" He asked as he scratched the back of his head.

"No. You're a sweet guy, and I'm sorry I bai—couldn't make it." My eyes popped. Was I just about to vomit the truth?

I plastered a smile on my face.

"Uh...I'll see you later, maybe we could have lunch today at the cafeteria?"

"Hmmmm..No." I shook my head and his smile vanished. "We'll go on that friendship dinner." I grinned.

He snickered and nodded. "You scared me though."

"I know. I love doing that." I beamed.

Christian chuckled. "Tonight then?"

"Yes. I won't bail and you better not either."

"I wouldn't dare." He said as he shut his locker and began walked backwards.

"Good. See you around?"

"Sure thing." He said to my hearing, waved lightly and walked away.

I let out a breath of relief and as I was about to turn, my eyes met Henry's. His gorgeous evil eyes. He'd been staring or maybe we just looked at the same time? He was with Zach who was saying something to him but he was not paying attention to him and just kept staring at me. Creep. I scowled at him and walked back to Raven and Jaxton, I am so not falling for those perfect eyes and cheekbones again.

Shut up.

"I assume it went well since he was smiling." Raven said, her arms folded.

"Well, It did" I nodded, smiling victoriously.

"You mean he was okay with the fact that you forgot?" Jax asked with an arched brow.

I nodded.

"He's a good guy." I smiled at them. Raven sighed, rolled her eyes and looked at Jaxton

"He lied" She stated

"What? I did n...okay maybe a little."

"What'd you say?" Jax asked with wide eyes.

"Said I lost my phone, which I did." I rose a finger. "Annnnnnd that we may have had a...family meeting" I added, and scratched the back of my head.

"Why didn't you just tell him that you forgot?" Jax asked with a shrug and I just looked at him with wide eyes. Was he seriously asking this. Raven also faced him with a frown. "What? I mean the worst that could happen is him never talking to you or punching you or...ohhh..now I get it" he said and gave a small nod which I joined him in.

"Mmhmm." I said as we began to walk together.

"So you had to lie, that was really smart." Raven smired.

I frowned.

"Was that sarcasm? Cause I'm not sure."

Raven rolled her eyes.  "No. It's not, It really was smart." She said still smiling, she walked two steps ahead and twirled to face us while we halted.

"Now boys, If you would excuse me I have a—What the hell?!!" Her smile vanished and was filled with surprise and irritation.

"Um...Raven?" Jax called with a concerned tone.

"Are you...okay?" I asked with knitted brows.

I was super confused.

"What. The Fuck is she doing back here?" Raven asked. Her eyes staring at something or someone behind us.
Jaxton and I turned at the same time to see what put her in shock. But I just saw a pretty girl with blond hair. I don't think I've seen her around. Not that I know everybody but she was putting on a cheerleading uniform like Raven so which means. I haven't seen her here before. She was smiling at two other cheerleaders who seemed happy to see her. She did a dramatic slowmotion kind of hairflip that looked awesome but there was something off about her. Anyways, I didn't understand why the sudden shock.

"Uh oh," Jax muttered , making me confused. I slowly turned to look at them with arched brows.

"Sooooo...Is she someone important? Why are we all surprised to see her?" I asked, confused.

"Cause Raven isn't the only bitch East high has. There's a redhead bitch and a blond one and the worst part of it all. They're enemies. Rivals. They're like oil and water. That's Quinn Lopez" jax explained as they just looked at her and when I took a second glance at her. That was when I saw it.

The evil smile.

The pretty face of a villain.

A beautiful villain. Quinn looked like she came out of gossip girl. She had a black hairband resting on her blonde hair which looked expensive. Her face was stunning and she looked like money. Like a lot of money. And also like she knew how to plot something evil.

While laughing with the other two cheerleaders beside her, she looked our way and paused for a quick second, before smirking and approaching us.

"Um..she's coming? What do we do?"

"Well. Well. Well. Look who I ran into. Eastwood's high redhead, " The blond girl said, cutting jax off. She clasped her hands together, that same smile on her face. Her hair was short and gorgeous, her eyes were brown and she was just too stunning. I can't lie. Red, bloody lipstick almost like Raven's, and her make-up was so good.

"Well. Well. Well. Look who is back to Eastwood high. The blonde witch."  Raven shot back with folded arms and a fake smile which just made the girl scoff. "What are you doing here? I thought you got transfered? I guess the school needs to give you a restraining order" Raven said with a slight chuckle.

Um, help.

Jaxton and I exchanged looks.

"Oh, haven't you heard? Well, I'm sure you haven't since you're always busy looking for how to ruin people's lives instead of trying to make yours better." She flashed her a smile and I blinked.

"I'm back to Eastwood for good, and I even have my cheerleading uniform back, in case you're blind and can't see me in it." She said with a victory smile.

Raven's still had a fake smile on her face. "Bummer, I guess this school really doesn't like to take out the trash."

"That would explain the smell when I saw you." Quinn retorted.

"Wait, so you are like back for good?" Jaxton asked.

"Jaxton, I don't recall you being deaf or maybe things have changed." Quinn sighed.  "Yes, I'm back. And I'm staying this time."

God, evil suited her so well.

I smirked.

I liked her.

"Well, I am glad you're back actually." Raven said.

"Really?"

Raven nodded. "Mmhmm. What was this school gonna do without their clown? You were needed."

"Hmm. Well, thank you pennywise." She said and looked at me. Her brow slowly arched at me, and a small smile appeared on her face.

"I don't think we have been introduced, but I think we have a hint of who we are. Dylan, yes?"

I nodded. "Quinn, huh."

She smiled. "You're as hot as they say you are." She said and thrusted her hand out for a handshake, her nails were pretty. I shook her hand.

"Nice to meet you."

"I hope we get along well." She said, smiling as we pulled our hands back. "You be safe now, and make sure you mix with the right crowd. Some people are a mess but dressed up quite well." She said and looked at Raven for a split second.

I just smiled. "Thank you."

"Have a great day, Dylan. I hope we become friends at least." She said and looked at Jaxton and Raven, she flashed them both a fake smile and elegantly walked away.

Raven scoffed.  "That bitch being back here, I hate that succubus."

"Okay, I need to know Who that girl is." I said with all seriousness.  "She is stunning."

"She really is glowing." Jaxton muttered. "Even though she ignored my presence. I don't know why she hates me." He sighed.

"It's because you're boring, Jaxton." Raven answered and we both looked at her. "It's true." She shrugged. "But, how the fuck is she back?"

"Anyone gonna fill me in on that beautiful succubus?"

"We'll tell you everything, but that blonde asswipe in a human form being back in this school just makes me want to rip off someone's hair."

"You better not look at me." Jaxton said.

"Or me." I took a step back.

"Just know she is Satan." Raven said to me.

"I thought you were the devil?" I looked over at her.

Raven sighed again and then the bell rang. "I guess I will see you guys at lunch." Raven said and we both nodded. "Bye boys." She said and walked away, angrily.

"Well, the Devil and Satan are supposed to be one person, right?" Jaxton said and I looked over at him.

"Mmhmm."

"Take it as two kings trying to rule a kingdom."

"So, who is the greater evil?" I asked Jaxton.

"Both. Somehow, both."

I looked back at Quinn.

"She was supposed to be transfered. I have no idea why she came back. After what she did, she shouldn't be back." He said as he glared at her. "Eastwood high with two devils? We're truly in hell now." Jax said as we both looked at her.

"What did she do?"

"There was a girl who had epilepsy, she triggered her seizure by showing her flashes, just so she could teach the girl some lesson. It was scary and horrible."

"Oh my God. She did that?"

"Nobody could ever tell she did, but we all just knew it was her." Jaxton sighed. "We should get to class, we don't wanna be late because we are gossiping about the evil witches of Eastwood high." Jaxton said as he walked ahead.

I looked back at Quinn who was talking to a guy,

They must really hate her a lot since she was pure evil.

But,

I smiled.

I liked her.

Deep down, that part of me, liked her.

****

I was in class, taking out my textbook and book from my bag, and placing it on my desk , when I noticed one of Eric's boys walk into class with the other boy called Jon and then Bryan or something, and the other? I didn't know his name. They were talking about something and walked to sit, and the third boy who had long blonde hair walked past a skinny dude and smacked the back of his head with his hand.

"Justin!" Jon called immediately.

"Sorry," Justin said mockingly to the skinny body. "I didn't think it'd hurt that much." He laughed, while the boy just sat in fear.

I watched and said nothing as the teacher walked in a second later and everyone sat down, and focused.

After class, I quickly packed my books but not my textbook. I got up with my bag and as I walked passed long blonde hair boy, I rose the textbook and smacked the back of his head really hard that his head almost kissed his desk. I and walked past him, while everyone turned to the loud sound in shock.

I hissed. "Oh, sorry." I said as I placed my textbook in my backpack. He looked up at me with rage in his eyes, a hand at the back of his head. "I didn't think it'd hurt that much." I said, repeating his words back to him with a smile.

Justin abruptly got up and gripped me by the throat, pushing me to the wall as my backpack fell to the ground. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" He sneered.

"Why? It's okay for you to do it but not me? That doesn't seem fair." I smirked.

He began tightening his grip. "You fucking dipshit don't know your place, huh?"

"Dude. Let go, I think he got the memo." The boy, Jon said. "And you don't want a teacher to fucking catch you."

I stayed smiling. "You should listen to your master, he surely knows best."

Justin's grip tightened and I grunted, trying to breathe but not struggling. I just stood there and smiled, until I wasn't anymore.

"I should teach this fucking cunt a lesson!" He said.

"L-Let g-g-go." I deadpanned.

He punched me and then kicked me, before turning to grab his things and walking away. I watched him as I coughed, trying to breathe.

I wanted to stab him in the foot.

Cut him.

Something.

But I stopped myself and let him.

Justin, was it?

"Oh my God, are you okay?" The bullied skinny boy asked as he ran to me with a bottle of water. "Here."

I looked at him and he gently moved away. I looked back at the entrance. "I'm fine." I said and stood up. "But, will you help me out with something?" I asked, my hand on my throat.

"S-Sure." He stuttered.

"Good."

****

"So, prom or homecoming?" Jaxton asked as we walked.

"Halloween."

"Ugh, be seriousss." He nudged me.

"I am." I chuckled.

"Dylannnn." He whined.

"Okay, fine. Uh, I can't actually pick. None is any of my business or concerns me."

"You are no fun."

"Thank you, Olson." I snorted.

"Hello, boys." Raven appeared. "What are we talking about?"

"Asking Dylan to pick between homecoming or prom." Jaxton answered.

"Oh, prom for sure!" Raven nodded. "That's bigger and better."

"I prefer homecoming, maybe because of the games." Jaxton shrugged.

"Fair point." I shrugged as well.

"Anyways, do you guys wanna hang out later today? Maybe at mine? My parents are out for the day anyways." Raven inquired.

"I mean, I'm down." Jaxton shrugged.

"Unfortunately, I'm not down today. Let's do some other time." I said. "I have a lot of work."

"Like what?" Raven questioned.

"Work." I repeated.

Then I noticed the skinny boy from earlier walk past us, we exchanged glances and I saw him nod a bit. I sighed and turned to both my friends. "How about you both head out, there's something I need to quickly do?"

"Won't take long?"

"Five minutes tops." I promised.

"Okay fine. But hurry." Raven said.

And with a smile, I walked down the hall and to the school auditorium.

***

"Uh, Raven?" That voice called. "You asked to meet you here?"

I watched him from the dark with his two coloured hair look around for Raven, his eyes filled with excitement and a smile on his face as he walked down to the stage.

"I got your letter!" Justin said.

I then came out from the dark and rose the bat in my hands high and swung hard, hitting him in the legs. He screamed as he lost his balance and fell to the ground in pain. He looked up in horror and his eyes met mine, and so I smiled.

"You."

"The name's Dylan." I smiled and hit him hard in the legs again. "You really didn't think we would only meet in class now, did you?" I chuckled. "Not after your big show."

"What are you—?"

I hit him again and again in the knees and he screamed. "I heard you play for the school." I said as I watched him sob in pain. "I wonder how you will play with these legs, huh." I hissed.

"Please!! My legs are my future!" Justin cried. "Please, I am sorry! Somebody help!"

"Ah. Your legs are? Well, that gives you a life lesson now, doesn't it?" I smiled. "You see. None of you in this school know me so well to want to piss me off." I said as I watched him sob. "None of you." I shook my head gently.

"I'm sorry, please."

"Are you really sorry?" I hit his arm hard and then his leg again while he screamed.

"Don't worry, no one will see us....playing here." I smiled. "I bubble-gummed the one security camera here." I shrugged. "So I can beat your ass as much as I want."

"Pleaseee!!" He cried, his face wet with sweat and tears. His eyes filled with guilt and regret. "I am sorry! I didn't mean to choke you! Please!"

"No, I liked the choking." I smiled. "I didn't like the part were you wanted to kill me, and then hit me."

Justin pulled himself up with his shaky legs and I kicked him back to the ground. "I have dealt with boys like you before." I said as I pulled him by the leg, he screamed as he slid across the floor while I pulled him to another part of the stage.

"I am the only child, please." He cried.

"Does it look like I give any fucks?" I asked, tilting my head to the side. "Do you know if that boy is an only child too? Or me? See, I don't like boys like you, they really make me mad" I said as I got on him and held his face in my hand so he could look at me.

"Remember this face, and whenever you see me? Run. If i see you bully that kid or anyone else again, I'll break your soul next. Dare me and I—" I pulled out a plier from my back pocket. "I will take out your teeth, one by one." I said, forcing his mouth open by tightening his jaw. "You do not want to test me, boy."

"I'm sorry." He apologised once I left his mouth.

"You hurt yourself. I didn't have anything to do with your legs or arm." I said as I stood up. "Unfortunately, you won't be able to play the next game." I sighed. "That really sucks, doesn't it?" I huffed as I stepped on his fingers hard with my shoes.

Justin screamed loudly, throwing his head back. "Ahhhhh. Stooop!!!! Pleaseeeeee"

"Oh, sorry." I moved my leg off his fingers. "I didn't think it'd hurt that much."

And with a small smile, I took out his phone from his back pocket and kicked it to the other end of the stage. "Go get your phone and call for help. If you mention my name anywhere, I'd find you and finish this. You can't beat me, be rest assured. And you're not a rich kid either." I shrugged. "I will come back and break every bone in your body and then make you eat your fingers after I cut them off ." I told him. He stared at me, shaking, his lips trembling and his hands as well.

"I w-won't." His eyes scanned me with fear in them.

"Good. I have to go now." I fixed my shirt. "See you around, Justin." I said and walked away with the bat.

***

"I'm not late, am I?" I asked as I ran to Raven's car with a smile.

"You are. It's been more than five minutes." She scowled.

"I am so sorry, my love." I said as I got into her car. "But thank you both for waiting."

"You good?" Jaxton asked.

I nodded. "Better actually. Let's go."

"Okayyy then! I'll get us smoothies on our way." Raven said and started the car, driving away.

Well, shit. I did it again.
