Chapter 32

They say the most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained.

Here we were, a once upon a time best friends of three now ignoring each other. Raven was mad at me for keeping the Henry thing and I knew she snapped at first cause of whatever her mom said and Jaxton? He was frustrated and needed to take it out on someone and we were there, but then he said the one thing I wasn't sure I was gonna be able to forgive him for.

We all needed space.

I was super sad after our fight, It really sucked that the people whom I confided in were now turning to strangers.

Eastwood high looked like it was laughing at me when I walked through those doors, I felt lonely. I had tried calling Raven's cellphone the night before but she didn't answer or reply my texts. So I guess I should give her that space.

I had decided to walk when mom said she was gonna give Jaxton and I both a ride to school and I tried not to make her suspect a thing about our fight so I told her it was for my muscles and to heal fast and I need exercise.

As I walked through those doors in my green hoodie and ash blank pants, I spotted Raven with her cheerleaders all talking and laughing, she wasn't in her cheerleading uniform but she got her cheerios. While she laughed, she tilted her head and her eyes met mine and slowly her laugh died down. I flashed her a smile and waved awkwardly, but she just ignored me and went back to chatting with her friends.

Well.

The smile ran back into my throat throat shame and i just hoped no one saw. While walking to my locker, I saw Jaxton at his locker and a girl by his side, taking to him about something. Our eyes met when he was about to reply to whatever she said and I just looked away and walked to my locker. Today was gonna be a shitty day, they both have friends and i have none, they were my only friends.

I slammed it open and took out a textbook right before the bell rang, with a sigh I shut it and walked over to class.

I sat down on one of the seats tiredly and rubbed my forehead.

"Nice hoodie" a voice said from behind me which startled me. I turned and saw christian smiling at me.

"Hey," he smiled.

"Hey" I gave him a smile and let out a heavy breath.

"I scare you?"

"It's fine. How are you?"

"I should be asking."

I just let out a fake chuckle. "I'm good, i guess."

"It's been a while. I'm glad you're back to school."

"Thanks, it feels good to leave my house."

"Well, if you do need help with whatever, just cough three times and I'll appear."

I laughed. "Promise, genie?"

"I promise."

"What are you doing tonight?"

"Tonight? I, well...I don't have plans." I shrugged.

"Great then. I'll text you."

I nodded.

"Oh and um...can we call this one a date?" He asked with a small shrug

"A date?" My brows furrowed. "Well, I mean—"

"Just...let me. I know you don't wanna go on a date with Christian Tate but come on. Just one date. Please."

I bit my lower lip and thought about it for like a second.

It wouldn't hurt to give the guy a chance, right? It's Just this once .

I sighed. "Okay fine. It's a...date. And it's not that I don't wanna go on a date with Christian Tate, I just don't fancy dates."

He grinned widely like a child who was just given candy and it made me laugh. "You're so fucking cute."

"Grandma thinks so too" he said with a laugh and I just laughed the more.

"You're really sweet. Thank you, Christian, for checking on me."

"Anytime, beautiful."

I smiled the same time Mrs. Higgins walked in. I looked away from him and at her.

"Hello, everyone."

"Here comes the detention queen" Christian leaned in and whispered to my ear making me let out a little laugh.

"She's gonna hear you." I leaned backwards on my chair and whispered back.

"If she's a psychic then okay."

"I just know she's evil."

"That's not true"

I cocked my brow at him.

"Okay, maybe a tiny bit evil."

"Are teachers normally just evil?"

"Some." I shrugged.

"How do you feel about the super nice ones? Tell me."

"Those are the worst. The pretenders who are probably eating those children in their basements and smiling at parents the next morning."

"I don't wanna spend an hour living in your head"

I looked at him with a smirk. "You wouldn't last twenty minutes before going nuts"

"No arguments." He gave a small nod, and I chuckled.

"Nice to see you smiling."

"What?"

"You looked sad when you walked in"

"I wasn't. It was just-"

"It's okay. You don't need to tell me." He said and I could feel him smile.

"Focus, Mister." I looked away from him, unable to stop myself from smiling.

"Yes, sir" he said and moved back, leaning on his own chair.

Silly.

••

Mrs. Higgins class was almost boring as always, but thanks to Christian who kept making me laugh in class, I was scared Mrs. Higgins would hear me at some point. He kept making fun of her huge skirt and i pray God forgives him.

We were walking together to our next class and Christian who was practically my only friend right now was talking about this anime he had been watching bleach or something that sounds like that.

"Why are you even telling me about this?"

"Cause I want you to watch it." he whined like a child.

"Hell no," i shook my head. "I still ain't done with naruto and then I have that titans one to watch."

He laughed. "Come on, you'll enjoy it"

"After i am probably done with attack of titans and the others."

"Come on" he whined still.

"Christian darling, I.." I was interrupted by the loud sound of a locker slamming shut, which startled me and made me flinch.

My heart began to race, I looked at whosoever had done that and my eyes were fixed on that of Jon. One of the boys who followed Eric the same way those minions follows Quinn.

I frowned at him, he wouldn't stop staring back and in those eyes of his had something like fear in them. He looked away and put on a straight face before walking away.

"Hey." I felt Christian's hand on my shoulder, pulling my attention back to him.

"Hmm?"

"You okay?"

I nodded and faked a smile. "Yeah, I am. Just...never mind. Come, let's go"

••

During third period I realized Jon was also in the same class with me and he wouldn't stop looking at me. If I turned to look at him, he'd look away. It was weird having your enemy stare at you like that. Not weird. Creepy.

It was lunch time, I walked into the cafeteria and looked at our table. It was empty. I looked around the cafeteria, Raven was with her cheerios and Jaxton had his friends.

I shook my head and walked out of the cafeteria. I wasn't gonna be here and look like a sad puppy when I wasn't.

I was gonna go outside, it would be the first time going outside during lunch, not like anyone doesn't eat outside but I felt like there wasn't enough air.

"Hey."

I turned and saw Henry walking towards me.

"What?"

"Where you going to?" He asked as he approached me with a smile.

"I'm just gonna sit outside."

"You..wanna talk?"

"Why would I want to talk to you of all people?"

"Cause i am the only one who is really trying to find the mystery pusher so just shut the hell up and follow me" he said and turned walking away.

"You c-cant order me around" i shouted to his hearing but he didn't even turn. I sighed and followed him into an empty classroom.

"What?" I asked as i took a seat, throwing my backpack on a chair.

"You don't look happy." He said as he sat on the desk next to mine.

I put on a big fake smile. "Is this okay?"

He chuckled. "Why aren't you eating with your friends like you always do?"

"What friends? If you haven't heard, we all broke up" i gave a tired sigh.

"What?" He looked surprised. "Why?"

"We aren't just meant for each other, I guess." I shrugged before resting my head on the table.

"That must suck. I thought you guys were like the IT friend group, apparently not."

"Don't mock me."

"The point is; the three of you are a complete circle and people admire and envy you guys for that"

"Well, they don't need to envy us anymore" I gave him a smile. "We went down the drain."

"Does this have to do with Quinn outing Jaxton?"

I sighed. "I guess you could say it started from there." I said as i ran my hand through my hair.

"Well, you should fix it."

I pretended to give it a thought and smiled at him. "I've got a better idea. How about...I do....nothing and just mind my own business"

"Have you ever died before?"

I scowled at him.

"Such a big scary baby." I mocked.

"You are just a big bag of sarcasm" he said and chuckled afterwards.

"I've been called worse." I flashed him a smile. "Aren't you gonna...you know. Go join your boys at the cafeteria?"

"I should," he paused. "But, seeing you look miserable is so much better" he smiled at me.

I glared at him. "Okay, I'm done." I said and stood up, picking up my backpack.

"I'm just trying to give you an advice, dummy." He said as I approached the door.

I turned slowly, looking at him with a smile. "Do you remember when i asked for your opinion?" He didn't answer and just scrunched his face. I smiled the more and shook my head. "Yeah, me neither"

"B-"

"Bye Alonzo" I said as I exited the classroom, i could hear him chuckle and just smiled to myself.

I was heading out when my phone beeped, I took it out of my back pocket and realized it was a text from Christian asking where I was. I decided to reply when my shoulder bumped into a stronger one, making me take two steps back.
"Watch it!" I spat and looked at whoever it was and when I saw that stupid face of his, I got irritated. "Out of my way"

Eric just stared at me and smiled, in a totally creepy way. "You got lucky" he smirked and walked away.

I was confused at that moment but I just shrugged it away and ignored him but something about that smirk of his scared me a little, it was so evil, it was like it'd been stuck in my head but I didn't understand.

Stop over thinking things Dylan.

I sighed, taking it off my mind and went outside.

•••

"I have never skipped class." Christian said, while we sat in Christian's car.

"Never?"

He shook his head. "I haven't ever gotten a reason to."

"Well, congratulations, you get to skip with me." I smiled at him.

Christian chuckled and took a biscuit from my opened one, which actually did belong to him.

"Wanna talk about what's going on with you?" He asked.

I sighed. "So much."

"Let's start from somewhere." He said and chewed.

"Do you think Jaxton is a good person?"

Christian frowned a bit and chuckled. "Yeah, I mean it's Jaxton. He's the sweetest soul."

"Hmm," I faked a smile. "He really is, isn't he?"

"Why'd you ask?"

"That one. I can't wait for the day he snaps. It would be a sight to behold."

"And why are you smiling like that?" He asked, and I looked at him.

"Because I know it would be directed to me. Might not be now, but it could be in a couple years. Might be my nemesis at a point, who knows." I shrugged.

"Are you both....okay?"

"No, we all actually did break up, but I don't wanna talk about it."

"You sure?"

"Mmhmm." I nodded, and then I flashed back to Raven lashing out about a kiss. "Do you know the deal between Raven and Henry? Any history?"

Christian pouted and shook his head. "Not that I know of?" He shrugged. "Not them exactly. A friend of Raven who used to go here, I think she used to date Henry, and something happened, they stopped talking. One time, they had a big fight and she said Raven was jealous of her and Raven said something about just wanting her friend back. Anyways, they fell off and Henry broke up with her, I don't know why, but he had Raven's back."

"And the girl?"

"She isn't in Eastwood anymore."

"Hmm."  I looked forward.

"Why don't you like dates?" Christian asked and I looked at him.

"Nothing, I just don't fancy dating at the moment. Relationship? No, thank you." I scoffed.

"And what about friends with benefits?" He asked as he poked my shoulder, leaning closer with a smile.

I leaned closer. "And what about it?"

"Would you be okay with me kissing you?"

I smiled. "I mean, you're hot. And I don't exactly have a boyfriend."  I muttered. "I don't belong to anyone."

"Is that so?" He said as he leaned closer.

"Mmhmm."

His face was an inch away from mine, he was smiling and so was I. He touched my hair and smoothly, his hand came to my cheek, he caressed a bit and then closed the space, pressing his lips against mine.

I kissed him back, our lips moving in sync. Christian was a good kisser no doubt, and I wanted him. His sucked on my upper lip and his tongue found a way into my mouth, we battled and I could feel myself getting a bit hard.

He pulled away and smiled. "You are so beautiful."

"I know," I replied. "But thanks."?

He chuckled. "You'll let me take you out?"

"As long as you don't mean killing me." I patted his cheek and went back into my seat. I looked forward and my eyes widen as I caught sight of principal Evans. I quickly grabbed Christian's shirt. "Shit! Principal Evans!" I said and we both dived downwards hiding, so he wouldn't see us.

We both laughed.

****

I shut my locker and as I turned to go, I saw Raven walking down the hallway with three other cheerios. I swear my mind created a slow motion in my head as she walked.

Once she looked my way with her smile, I looked away not even caring and but before I could leave, my eyes landed on Jon's and he was staring back at me. Once he noticed I had caught sight of him, he looked elsewhere and walked away. Then, I understood what this was about. How did i not know at first?

I angrily followed him to where he was headed. The boys bathroom. Once I got in after him, I closed the door behind me and folded my arms.

He turned and seemed surprised to see me.

"Dylan,"

"Why do you keep watching me?"

"What?" He blinked.

"Don't act dumb with me, Jon."

He said nothing, avoiding my gaze.

"Are you feeling guilty? Hmm?"

"What are you t-talking a-about?" He stuttered.

I wasn't ready for this crap. I slammed him against the wall with my free hand, angrily.

"You pushed me, didn't you?"

"What?"

"It was you, right? You fucking pushed me down those stairs and that's why you wouldn't stop looking at me cause, cause you feel guilty, isn't it?" I asked as I tightened my grip on his shirt.

"Listen, y-you need to.."

"Better tell me the truth, you did this to me." I asked as I glared at him angrily.

"I didn't mean to okay." He said, his lips trembling. "It wasn't my fault."

"Bull!"

"He asked me to push you! It was either down the stairs or he runs you over and get away with it. I....I had to pick." He gulped.

"What? W-Who?"

"You know who?" He said, his eyes watery.

"Fucking tell me!!"

"ERIC!" He yelled back. "Eric was the one who made me push you down the stairs and I feel so stupid and I feel awful about it." His face was red and he soon started to cry.

I loosened my grip on him and let go once I got the name.

That smirk.

I quickly understood, I saw it again. It was that day.

I had another flashback of that day and how I saw him at the bottom of the stairs smirking, right before he gave the thumbs up. It wasn't towards me as i thought, it was a go ahead for Jon to push me.

"I'm sorry" he apologized softly. "I shouldn't have listened to him and..and once i s-saw you with the bandage on. I...I just couldn't..." He shook his head and sniffed back his tears. "I haven't been able to forgive myself" he cried.

I just stared at him, Eric made him do this. I closed my eyes and balled my hand into a fist. I could feel the anger rush through my body like blood itself. I could only see red and watching Jon cry, I could tell that in this school, Eric had been his god here.

I wiped off the tears I didn't know was falling. I didn't know what to say or how do feel. But he choose an option to save me from something worse.

But still,

"I don't want to ever see your face." I said and walked away.

I walked down the hall with anger that everyone could see. A boy was in my way as I headed into the boys locker room, I pushed him out making him hit a locker and students cleared from my path till i walked into the locker room.

I pushed the door open and stormed in getting everyone's attention, most of the boys were naked. I just wanted Eric. I want to strangle him. I want to kill him. I just want to deal with him.

"Where the fuck is Eric?" I yelled as I walked past them, pushing them aside as I looked for him. "ERIC! ERIC!!" I called and just then, I halted as someone appeared in front of me. Henry was standing in front of me, without a shirt.

"Dyl? What's wrong?"

"Get out of my way!" I ordered.

He looked really confused. "Dyl? W-What's the problem?"

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY HENRY!!" I yelled and then I saw him. Eric. I clenched my fists angrily, I pushed henry out of my way and walked towards him.

"YOU FUCKING SKULLFUCK!!" I growled. I ignored his confused face and punched him so hard, with all the strength I could muster into my fist.

The locker room went into an uproar, with boys all shouting a surprised oh! Once I hit him.

"Woah! Woah!!" A hand pulled me back. "What is wrong with you?" Henry asked , surprised at what I had done.

Eric spat out blood and angrily looked at me.

"You think you're better. You think you can just walk over people and make them do your bidding and try to get rid of other people." I was trying to get away from Henry's grip but he was stronger. "Let me go henry!"

"What the fuck, you fucking cunt!" He angrily walked towards me but Zach just held him back. Seeing that he still had that ego of his and wanted to fight me made me mad the more and I just wanted to stab him this time.

I freed my hand from Henry's grip and marched towards him again.

"I'll let you know that no one touches me and-" He was silenced by my palm kissing his cheek so hard, it so much sounded like a bulb falling and breaking. He clutched his face and looked at me with wide eyes as if saying, I did what no one would dare. They held disbelief and shock in them but I didn't care.

"Fuck. You." I spat in his face.

"Dylan!" Henry pulled me back.

"You are nothing but a fucking piece of dog shit, you pathetic loser."

"That is it!" His face was red with anger but at least I had my signature on his cheek. He threw his towel and thank goodness he had his briefs on, he gripped me by the shirt, but before his fist could kiss my face, Zach and one of the boys held him back.

I scoffed.

"Let me fucking go!" He struggled to be free from their grip.

"No. Go ahead and hit me!" I pushed Henry off me. "Just because your life is pathetic at home don't give you enough reason to be a fucking psychopathic cunt, you ugly sperm result."

"Zach! Fucking let go!" He growled and rushed towards me, but Henry quickly appeared in front of me, shielding me.

"Eric. Stop." He said and turned to me.

"Dylan!" Henry called but I didn't look at him but stared at the devil. "Dyl.  Hey. " he said and I turned to look at him. "What is wrong? Why are you trying to fight with Eric?"

"CAUSE HE PUSHED ME!" I cried. "ERIC WAS THE ONE WHO GOT ME PUSHED DOWN THOSE STAIRS HENRY!" I glared at Eric. He was shocked that I figured it out. "I REMEMBER. I SAW YOU THERE, RIGHT BEFORE I FELL. YOU WERE THE ONE COOKED UP THAT STUPID PLAN FOR ME TO BE PUSHED, YOU WERE THE MASTERMIND. YOU ARROGANT BASTARD!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and wiped off my tears whole staring at him.

Henry slowly looked away from me and at Eric.

"I-I..that's not true. It's bull! Why would I want t-to do that? Like i would fucking touch a plague like yourself!"

"YOU SHOULD STOP LYING YOU CUNT, CAUSE I REMEMBER CLEARLY. IT WAS YOU, WITH THAT STUPID SMIRK OF YOURS RIGHT BEFORE I FELL."

"What?" He chuckled. "You can't even prove it. Your vendetta against me must have gotten into that empty skull of yours."

"I know what I saw and the only only one with something empty, is you! With that thing you call a life."

"I saw you that day at the library. At the bottom of the stairs Eric." Zach spoke, making us all look at him. "When Henry was about to tutor me. I saw you there. What were you doing there?"

Eric chuckled. "You think I pushed him? Him?"

"I mean, you don't exactly like him." One of the boys said with a shrug.

"I didn't push him. Guys, come on." He smiled at them.

"Did you do it?" Henry suddenly asked.

Eric turned to him with the smile on his face. "Henry, I—"

"Did you?" Henry's brows rose.

"I..." He swallowed. "So what If I pushed him?" He chuckled. "No one will believe him or be able to help you anyways cause we all hate you and like I said. You were lucky"

At that moment, it happened again and I could hear ticking in my head, like the sound of the clock as the seconds count. I looked over at the bench close to the lockers and on it was a razor blood.

My head was ringing and I felt anger all over my body. I felt like a volcano waiting to erupt as I gazed at him, speaking and smiling.

I picked up the razor from the bench and made my way to the spoilt cunt who wanted to kill me. Once I was closer to him, I drew my hand with the razor in it across his neck, shutting him up immediately. The locker room became silent and Eric's smile slowly faded. Blood splattered across my face and on the some of the boys. I watched Eric's eyes go wide in fear and shock as the blood rushed down his neck and to his chest. He gripped his neck with both hands while the boys began to panic and scream.

I watched him, my heavy breathing slowing down. Eric fell to the ground, gasping for air while the boys ran in different directions like ants. I watched the boy on the floor be helpless and I felt relief.

But alas, it was all in my imagination. He was still talking and I wanted him to shut up. So I stretched my hand to the bench and picked up the razor. I began walking towards him, my blood mixed with rage.  But, Henry immediately pulled me back and I looked at him angrily.

Henry let go off me and walked towards the laughing Eric. I saw his hands clench into a fist and before Eric could spit out more words, Henry's fist came in contact with Eric's face. It was more powerful than mine, like hundred and ninety nine times more, which made me take a shocking step backwards.

Henry pulled him up and punched him the more and the boys began to fight. The boys tried to separate them but no one was a match for Henry. He pushed them back and now he was on top of Eric, who was nothing but a weakling when it came to henry and he kept punching him, punch after punch till we saw blood. Henry received a few blows but at this moment it was scary, he looked like he was ready to kill the kid. Like I wanted.

I didn't stop him, I just watched.

Hit him.

"What in God's name is going on here?" A harsh, more adult-like voice yelled. We turned and saw coach, one of the boys had gone to call him.

He walked in angrily and once he saw the boys, he yelled at them to get up and Henry kept punching until Zach and Coach pulled them apart.

"Look at you both, acting like animals on Nat Geo wild!" Coach was pissed. "You both come with me! Now! And put on some damn clothes!" He ordered.

The boys helped Eric up, he stared daggers at me but I didn't flinch, I wasn't moved. He followed coach and I was about to follow from behind when someone grabbed my arm. I looked at who it was and met Zach's stare.

"This is all you again. If he gets kicked out of the team, I swear to God.."

"Zach. For once in your fucking life, act like you were born with a fucking brain!" I said and shrugged his arm off.

"Don't ever touch me again" I said before exiting the locker room quickly to follow the boys. As I walked out, I saw students who were all staring at the boys and gossiping. I walked faster to go into the office with them, I saw my ex best friends at different places staring and ignored them. My eyes met Jon's and I just looked at him for some seconds before walking into the principal's office right after the boys.

"Well, these boys happened to have been kissing their faces with each other's fists." Coach said as he pushed them in.

"Jesus." Principal Evans exclaimed and dropped his pen once he saw the blood on their faces. "Whatever happened?"

"Henry just started punching me and for no reason." Eric lied and I scoffed getting their attention.

"No one invited you here" Eric said with one eye, the other threatening to close.

"What are you doing here?" Coach frowned at me.

"He's lying, Principal Evans." I took a step forward.

"I think you should leave. " Coach said trying to get me to leave.

"With all due respect, sir, you weren't even there to begin with."

"Dyl. Go"

"No." I shook my head at him. "Henry only fought Eric after finding out what he did. What he did to me." I said glaring at Eric.

"W-What'd he do?" Principal Evans asked , looking a bit confused. "I mean what just he have done to get his face looking like a six weeks old salad?"

Eric looked at me as if daring me to say anything, like I was supposed to be scared of the one eyed villain.

"He was the one who pushed me down the stairs."

Principal Evans looked like he'd been told his wife was pregnant with five. "What?"

"He's lying!" Eric suddenly said.

"A-Are you sure?" Coach asked looking staggered.

I nodded. "He did push me."

"I did not fucking push you and you know it." Eric sneered.

"Really? Cause I remember it clearly. You. You Eric, you pushed me."

"And why would I?" He scoffed.

"Because it gives you power. Makes you feel better, but you just are the same low life bitch you've always been."

"Damn." Coach muttered.

"Woah. Woah. Woah." Principal Evans cut in. "Let's not do that in here, please."

"He pushed me. I have nothing to lie about."

"I didn't push you."

"He has to face the consequences for what he did, or does this school let people like this go away? Attempted fucking murder?"

"Dylan. N-No, and language."

"Fuck language, Mr. Evans. I could have died. Like died and gone to hell!" I turned to Eric. "Do you have any IDEA, how traumatic that shit was to me? I was scared of everything, having panic attacks because of you! And I can't just let you walk away."

"And you're sure it was him?" Principal Evans asked.

"Yes."

"What?" Eric frowned. "I didn't push you. I gave the order for it. I didn't-"

"Oh wow." Coach scoffed.

"I know what I saw, Eric. I couldn't fix the puzzles before and you thought you could go free cause I had a little amnesia until it all came back to me." I pointed at him. "You told me I was lucky during lunch, I didn't understand what that meant, until I fully remembered. I saw you at the stairs smirking at me, right before you pushed me."

"I did not push you. I only gave the order for you to be pushed but I didn't-"

"Oh really?"

"Jon did! Jon pushed you! He was the one!"

"No." I gulped. "It wasn't Jon. It was you. I know what I saw."

"Why the fuck are you lying?!!!" He yelled.

"When will you own up to the shit you did?!" I yelled back.

"Guys! Stop!"

"Henry did nothing, principal Evans. Eric was bragging about it when I confronted him and anyone with empathy would do what he did." I said and swallowed.

"You are a fucking-"

"Shut up." Henry said to him in a calm voice as he turned to look at him.

"Or what? You're gonna fucking—"

"ERIC!" Principal Evans yelled. "That's enough. You have disgraced this school and so you will face the consequences. You are getting kicked out of the football team"

"No. I'm nothing without that and he's lying, principal Evans, I swear!"

"Dude, you literally just confessed that you had something to do with it. Don't you watch law and order and all that Detective movies?" Principal Evans asked, cocking a brow at him.

Eric swallowed. "Please, I am nothing without football."

"Well you should have thought about it before you tried to kill someone's kid" coach chuckled.

"And, you're are getting suspended for for two months."

"Th-Thats n-n-not fair. I didn't.."

"Coach Hudson." Principal Evans ignored his plea.

"Yes?"

"Could you escort him out please? Take away his jacket and I'll call his parents now to come get him"

"Aye Aye Captain," Coach Hudson saluted him and grabbed Eric by the collar. "Come on." he said taking him out.

"You are a brave guy, Henry, but you should have come to us first."

"Please don't strip him off his jacket." I walked to his table with a pleading face. "He just did what anyone with a good heart would do."

Principal Evans looked at Henry and back at me then henry and me again. "Weren't you two the same boys who hated each other so much months ago and I had to give detention cause there was so much hate and tons of bad languages?"

I looked at henry, who also looked at me at the same time.

"Yes" we chorused.

He gave a slight chuckle. "You both turned out fine" he smiled. "I'm not gonna take his jacket. I'm happy you both are friends"

Oooh no we aren't.

I smiled.

"Take him to the nurse's office. You re a good man Mr. Ashcroft" he smiled at him.

"Thanks principal Evans" I smiled.

"Doesn't mean he goes free for fighting at school." He said with a sigh and my smile slowly disappeared. "You're also gonna get punished, Henry. Violence is not tolerated in my school."

"But—"

Henry quickly grabbed my hand, stopping me. He smiled. "I understand."

"I'll let you know your punishment later." Principal Evans said and sighed frustratedly.

"I gotta call that cumdumpter's parents" he said and took out his phone.

My brows furrowed at the curse word. He learnt it.

He looked at us and frowned. "What? Isn't the principal also allowed to swear?"

"I didn't say anything." I smiled softly.

I laughed and looked at henry who was still laughing.

"Come on, let's get you to the nurse's office" I said and tilted my head to the door, he nodded and we both headed for it.

"We make a good team eh?" He smiled. "I told you we'd find your devil's messenger." He smiled at me.

"Technically I did, and you punched the hell out of him." I said, while he just smiled. "Thank you." I whispered with all sincerity.

We walked out of the principal's office and students were staring at us which made us just stand still. Half of them were smiling, two people ran to me and gave me a hug and I started pushing them back slowly.

"I'm glad he got what he deserves," the girl said.

"I hope you're okay." The boy said and they both left.

How did the news go round so fast.?

"Wow. News does fly so fast here, doesn't it?"

Henry smirked. "You have no idea"

"I don't even know these people who just touched me." I said and he chuckled.

I walked with Henry to the nurse's office, some were clapping and hailing Henry for his bravery, patting his back while they smiled at me as if we all had been friends sometime. Henry paid no attention to them and just walked and so I did the same, I mean I don't get it. I don't get this school at all.

Suddenly the hall went silent, we looked ahead and saw Eric with coach behind him and some boys from the team but before any of us could say anything, students around began to boo and throw papers at him.

"Knock it off!" Coach yelled at them and they stopped instantly.

"You'll fucking pay." Eric said once he got to where we stood.

I just stared at him and even with that anger on his destroyed face, i slapped him so hard the hall became more silent than it was before.

"Fuck off, Phillips."

"Move on Phillips, the principal's office. Go wait for your parents." Coach said from behind. Eric stared at me with so much anger in his eyes but I wasn't affected a tiny bit and then he walked past us and to the principal's office.

"That was a...painful slap." Henry said chuckling.

"I won the title. 'Best bitch slap' back in my old school, didn't you hear?"

"Hmm, no. I have to go research that." He said, playing along.

"You probably should, my gold crown is better than any king's." I said with a smile.

"Silly." He shook his head.

"Thank you for fighting for me. Can't believe he struck this pretty face I like, he was supposed to just sit there and get his ass whooped." I said as i inspected his face.

Henry looked at me and smiled. "You like my pretty face, huh?"

My eyes widen. "I-, w-what?" I nervously laughed and stood up. "I'm uh, I'm gonna leave you now with the nurse, and you're not that pretty anyways." I said, and as I turned to go because i was starting to feel embarrassed, he grabbed my hand.

I turned to look at me, and he gently pulled me back. "Stay. Please."

I looked at him for a bit, and his indeed pretty face, and slowly nodded.

"Okay."

Author's Note:

Took me forever to find someone who'd fit Eric's description or was even close to it and I thought why not the villain guy from teen Wolf.
