Chapter 75

****
THIRD PERSON POV

TWO WEEKS AGO

"What would you do if law school doesn't work for you?" Jaxton questioned his best-friend as they both leaned against a locker.

Dylan snorted. "First of all, that's impossible. If Harvard does not pick me then someone else will."

"But you want Harvard." Jaxton stated, almost like a question.

Dylan nodded. "Yeah, I want her."

"Why do you want to go to Harvard? And don't give me that crap about wanting to go to the top of the top." Jaxton said, pointing a finger at Dylan.

Dylan gently slaps his finger. "That is part of the reason, and also because I wanna meet someone who works there, he's worked there for about ten years if I'm not wrong."

Jaxton frowns, he is both confused and curious, wondering if the boy was telling the truth or not. "Who?"

"That, I can't say." Dylan winks at him. "You'll understand later, but also, I heard all the cunts go there, I wanna go there too." He shrugged.

"So you're a cunt?"

Dylan smiled. "Yeah." He answered without hesitation. "Anyways, I was kidding about the someone I wanna see, it's Harvard, I just wanna prove it's easy to get in." Dylan shrugged.

"Do you think you can get in when you have been on blogs for several things?"

Dylan smiles in response. "Let's keep those self used fingers crossed." He says as he crosses his fingers.

Jaxton grimaces in disgust. "Oh my God, Dylan, come on."

Dylan chuckles. "I've gotta go, I need to go kiss a boy." He sighs and begins to leave. "Bye, Olson." He says as he winks at Jaxton and leaves.

"Bye." Jaxton chuckles.

Jaxton begins walking down the opposite hall from where Dylan went, a smile on his face, when he suddenly is accompanied by someone.

"Hello, Jaxxy."

Jaxton looks to the person on his left and meets a smiling Johnathan. He frowns, confused and irritated.

"And why are you speaking to me?"

Johnathan shrugs. "I guess we haven't really spoken."

"We have, remember? When Dylan humiliated you at Zach's party, such a good memory, don't you think?" Jaxton asks, smiling.

Johnathan chuckles. "It was a fun night."

"Please stop following me before people think I am associated with you."

"Oh come on, what's so bad about being associated with me?"

Jaxton stops walking and turns to face Johnathan. "Why are you speaking to me? Shouldn't you be like at a different hall or in jail?"

"Oh please, you act like I'm a bad person." Johnathan scoffs. "You'll hurt my feelings."

"What the fuck? You are a bad person. Johnathan."

"We are all bad people, Jaxton."

"No, no we're not." Jaxton responded, shaking his head. "You are a fucking, sick, twisted being who uses people."

Johnathan laughs. "You are calling me out for using people? That's funny coming from someone being used."

"What?"

"Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house, Jaxxy. Your whole existence is being used by Dylan, and here you are calling me what?" He laughs.

"Dylan doesn't use me, he's my friend and I know you can't relate to that word, which you deserve."

"Oh, please." Johnathan snorts. "Dylan lives in a sweet and happy hope with all his parents intact, and what about you? Following Dylan's instructions on not to see mommy? Isn't that pathetic?"

"Excuse me?"

"You have no self esteem, no self love, and you will always be an underdog for as long as you live because you cannot stand up to Dylan and you are full of shit, and that's the truth." Johnathan shrugs nonchalantly.

Jaxton listens, his throat slowly tightening as he struggles to swallow. "Don't say things you don't know, Johnathan. My mother is a bad person."

"Is she?" Johnathan asks, cocking a brow. "Is she a bad person or you're just a blind follower, a dog who can't tell his left from his right unless Dylan says so?" He hisses. "Go to bed with that thought."

Johnathan gives him a wink. "See you later, Olson." He says and walks away, leaving a distraught Jaxton in the middle of the hallway, feeling defenceless.

ONE WEEK AGO

"That will be all for today, thank you." Jaxton says as he smiles at his club members. It's ten minutes before lunch and his club "The Better Halves" had just had a quick meeting.  "Same time, next week, do not forget."

"Sure." His favourite red haired replied, smiling. She was his assistant and ride or die when it came to his club. They said their farewells and just as he was packing his thing, always the last to leave as usual, the door opens.

"Forget something?" He asks as he looks up with a smile, only to be met with Johnathan and his sinister smile. Jaxton's smile slowly fades away as he stands upright and looks at the devil in human form.

"Wow. Not even a hello or welcome, is that how you all do here?" Johnathan pouts.

"What do you want?"

Johnathan shrugs and rests against a desk. "I came to see how you were doing."

Jaxton sighs. "Johnathan, I have seen you enough the past one week. So please, I beg you, fuck off."

Johnathan pretends to be hurt, placing a hand on his chest and pouting. "It hit something here." He says.

"I do not have time for this."

"Okay okay, I'll go straight to the point." Johnathan clears his throat. Jaxton folds his arms and looks at him.

"Get on with it, cum chugger."

"I wanted to come apologise to you, but you know, you are always so feisty. Sometimes, I see a different Jaxton from what everybody else see. The smart mouth, not the weak boy everyone sees or think you are."

"What are you on about?"

"You are not so innocent, are you?" Johnathan cocks his brow at Jaxton. "You're something else, right? I can almost smell that rot, that darkness, it's like cancer."

Jaxton's breath seizes and Johnathan notices it.

"Sorry, shouldn't have used cancer seeing your father died from it."

It was a hard pill for Jaxton to swallow once Johnathan said that, but he kept his composure instead of slapping the boy in front of him.

"So what now? You're going around asking about my family?"

"No, no. I don't even have to when Dylan's there to feed me everything whenever we have our back and forth." He smiles. "He talks a lot sometimes ."

Jaxton looks at him for a bit, a crack in his heart. "What?"

"Nothing."

"Keep talking."

"I mean. We just got into our usual argument and I brought you up and he said something about how the only reason you have that façade is because you are using your cancer dead father as a backup, both for sympathy and for a mask, something along that line."

Jaxton laughs. "Wow. You really are shitty at this whole thing, huh? Dylan would never say that."

"Wouldn't he? I mean. i said the same thing actually. 'Isn't the whore your friend?' " Johnathan sighs. "And his reply was 'if he could speak about my dead brother in a demeaning manner, why should his dead father be an exception?" He shrugs.

Jaxton feels his stomach drop. There is no way Johnathan would know about that except if Dylan mentioned it. "You're lying."

"I'm not gonna ask you to believe me, honestly, I do not care. But you see, that is one thing I adore about Dylan. His sexy, venomous tongue." Johnathan smiles softly.

Jaxton gulps, his head in a mess.

"Anyways, I wanted to let you know that I might sign up to be in this class but after seeing those eyes and being confirmed about how sick you must be upstairs, I'll probably go somewhere else." Johnathan winks at Jaxton. "Bye, Olson." He says and leaves.

Jaxton watches him, his heart slowly beginning to pick a pace.

"Fucking cunt." Jaxton mutters.

FOUR DAYS AGO

Jaxton is seated in a booth at HOES, reading a book. It was seven thirty pm and the diner is a bit scanty. On his table is a vanilla smoothie. He flips through his book to the next page and suddenly, he notices someone suddenly sit across him. He looks up from his book and smiling at him is Eastwood's maniac, Johnathan.

Jaxton rolls his eyes and sighs frustratedly. "No." He shook his head in annoyance.

"Oh please, you enjoy my company." Johnathan said with a smile that charmed clueless people.

Jaxton scoffed in response. "Deluded, I see."

"What are you reading?"  Johnathan inquired, looking down at the book.

"None of your—". Johnathan cut Jaxton's sentence short by grabbing the book to look at the title.

"Lord of the flies?" He cocks his brow at Jaxton. "Seriously?"

Jaxton snatches the book back. "It's a classic, and I like it." He replied. "What do you want?"

Johnathan sighs and relaxes on the booth and smiles. "I came to see how you were doing."

"How is that your business."

"How's your mother?" Johnathan asked, smiling.

Jaxton says nothing as he is lost for words and shocked that Johnathan knows about his visiting to his mother.

Johnathan smiles. "Give me some credit, will you? I knew you would go see her and accept her, I'm not stupid." He chuckled.

"You won't....tell Dylan, right?"

Johnathan beamed. "And why would I do that? I mean, he's gonna figure it out himself soon enough anyways." He shrugged.

"What do you want here?" Jaxton asked, annoyed.

"Just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"What do you think this is? I don't like you and don't want to see your face."

"For someone who says that, you hang around with Dylan a lot so it's ironic."

"Dylan is not like you."

Johnathan instantly hisses. "Are you sure about that? Because he's just like me."

"He's not."

"Do you even know the boy you call your friend?" Johnathan asked, cocking a brow at Jaxton. "You dine with the devil and that's not me. They say the devil you know is better than the one you do not." Johnathan smirks. "And you know me, but not the other one, you innocent boy."

"What are you going on about? Just leave."

"Oh come on, have you never wondered how Dylan knows everything about everyone and yet you have been in this town since your parents got married, had you, became unhappy, gave birth to another, lost your sad father and well, you know the episodes of all your sad life and still....after living here for seventeen years, he still knows things you don't."

Jaxton remains silent.

Listening.

"How do you think he puts all the bullies in check?  And you're next, boy. You all who think you are safe from his wrath, you're not." Johnathan laughs. "He is controlling you, and you do not even know it, it's sad."

"You're sick. I have my own free will and Dylan isn't a—"

"You sure about that?" Johnathan furrows his brows. "Because at the end of the day, you still do whatever he asks you do do, like a slave to a master." He hisses again. "Doesn't sound like free will to me, just slave working for free."

Johnathan maniacally laughs while Jaxton stares.

"I'm no slave, and you're a cunt."

Johnathan nods. "Two truths can coexist, Olson. You're a slave, and I am a cunt." He said and winks at Jaxton.  "He will always control you because he owns you, Dylan, whether you choose to see it or not, he does. I mean, you live at his, come on, love." Johnathan laughs again. "You really do not think there's no power dynamic there? Anyways,I'm gonna leave now, I think my order is ready, see you around, Olson." Johnathan said and stood up, walking away.

Jaxton sat there, watching him leave, while Johnathan smirks as he walks to the counter.

"I'm not a slave." Jaxton muttered.

Dylan's P.O.V

I walked down the stairs with a blank expression, I barely slept since my mind was everywhere. I headed to the dinning, mon was serving breakfast.

"Good morning," I muttered and took a seat, dropping my backpack on the floor.

They all just stared at me.

"Dylan," Dad called, I looked up at him with arched brows.

"Hmm?" I replied as I took a toast bread.

"I heard about last night. Why?"

"Cause it was the right thing, I had to do what needed to be done." I shrugged.

"You sent him out."

I snorted. "He wanted to be sent out, if not he wouldn't have said the things he said. He was literally begging me to throw him out and I granted him his wish." I smiled.

"That wasn't necessary, you know he's family too."

"Well," I dropped my toast bread back on the plate. "He didn't think we regarded him as family, according to him I'm the devil and only want to control him and that's why I kept him here so I did the one thing I had to, I set him free from hell." I said and stood up, picking up my backpack.

"He really said that?" His brows knitted in disbelief.

I nodded. "Yeah, apparently we aren't real friends." I smiled.

"Aren't you gonna eat?" Grandma asked.

I shook my head and forced a smile. "I'm fine, I need to meet up with Raven anyways so,"

"Dylan, you should have breakfast." Mom said but I ignored her and kept walking towards the door. "Dylan, stop! I don't like this attitude of yours." I soon heard footsteps.

I quickly turned. "What do you want me to say mom? That I'm sorry I sent Jaxton away and gave him the freedom he asked for? Cause I'm really not." I shook my head as she stood in front of me.

"You guys should have talked about it, there was no need for what happened yesterday. You did go too far a-and we all would have handled this like mature people."

"There was nothing to handle, mom. I did what was right. What had to be done!"

"No you didn't, you can't just take these kinda decisions yourself. You don't just send your best friend packing."

"And yet, I did." I flashed her a smile. "Not cause I wanted to but cause I had to." I added.

"You called him family."

"And that was a big mistake, one I wish I could take back." I shrugged. "He's been staying with us for months and we never asked for anything and suddenly we're the bad guys? I'm the bad guy. I shouldn't have!"

She sighed and looked sympathetic. "Dylan, I know you're hurt but-"

"You're damn right, I'm hurt!" I snapped.

"Dylan! Do not raise your voice at me."

"Why?" I tilted my head to the side. "Does it make you want to slap me again like you did last night?"

She became speechless and her expression softened. "Dylan," dad called and walked towards us. "You shouldn't talk to your mom like that, she clearly didn't mean to hit you, okay?"

"But she did," I laughed bitterly. "Right across the face and right in front of that traitor who was once my so called best friend. You slapped me in front of Jaxton. You shouldn't have done that, and if you can pick his side when he was clearly wrong in many ways and said those things about me in front of you, then...what exactly do you want me to feel now? You're my mother and yet I got slapped for doing what was right but was wrong in your eyes and when Jaxton called me names, he's totally right and should be forgiven, and we then have to handle it like mature people?" I shook my head and scoffed. "That is just really pathetic, mom." I said as I walked backwards, i turned and walked out of the house.

***

I walked into the school thinking of so many things and was just so mad at everything and everyone, I noticed that the school decorations were increasing and there were now photos of contestants who wanted to be chosen as homecoming Queen plastered on the wall. I also notice most of the students were all talking about something or seemed interested in something but I paid no attention to it. I needed to find an empty class since I was super early and try reading but that wasn't gonna happen once I spotted killer frost coming my way with a beam.

"Hey, sunshine." She grinned.

"Hi," I replied dryly.

"So, what happened yesterday? Did you guys finally talk about it?"

I nodded. "Yeah, we did."

"Oh good."

"Then I kicked him out." I flashed her a smile.

Her eyes widen. "You're kidding."

"I'm not," I shrugged. "Jaxton took an advice from the king of darkness, Johnathan and it was his idea for Jaxton to see his mother and hide it from us. I don't have a problem with Jaxton wanting to see his mother, she's his mother, of course. I am just worried she would hurt him again, because she always does, every time, and I lived with him, I know how devastated he was about her, and then she's back and acting like she's here for good, but she's not, and it worries me."

"Then Jaxton....followed Johnathan's advice? Despite knowing he was up to no good?"

"He did. He said Johnathan was right, that I wanted to control him, his every move. That I didn't care about him, but all about me. Said I was Jonathan himself." I smiled weakly.

"Olson said that?" Raven looked shocked.

I nodded. "So I did what was best for him and everyone." I shrugged. "kicked him out and terminated our friendship."

"Oh Dylan, no." She shook her head. "I admit what he did was wrong but ending your friendship with him? No. I do not agree."

"You think I wanted to do that? You think I wasn't hurt by the outcome? But it's already done. It already happened. There's nothing I can do about it, and honestly, maybe I'd do it again. I'm not gonna act like I don't have a problem too, like I don't have a flaw, I do. But Jaxton? He doesn't think so most of the time, and to make himself feel better, he'll say things to break you, and I'm not one for that." I shrugged.

"I believed Johnathan over you and you forgave me." She said, bringing my attention back to her.

"You didn't know who he was then," I replied. "Plus you needed me. I could have let you go too, but you needed me. You thought he was an angel, but he wasn't, and because no one ever listens to me, it always ends badly."

"True." She muttered. "I'm sorry."

I gave a small nod.

"So, what are you gonna do about- oh, there he is." She said as she looked behind me. I looked over my shoulder and spotted Jaxton walking in and looking dull, his eyes met mine and I looked away and looked back at Raven. She smiled and waved a little at him, she was his friend. I wasn't gonna tell her to not talk to him just cause I wasn't. "Oh come on, you have to talk to him."

"I'd rather drink gasoline."

"Harsh."

I smiled.

"Hey," a voice greeted. We looked to our left and walking towards us in a haste was Zach and Gwen.

"Heeey, you guys don't look....happy?" Raven frowned.

Gwen looked like she was panicking and I knew something was definitely wrong. I turned to face them completely. "What's wrong?"

"Where the fuck did you keep your phone?" Zach asked angrily.

"W-Why? What happened?"

"Jon tried calling and texting you throughout the night!" He announced, looking and sounding super frustrated.

"S-Sorry, I...I turned it off. Shit happened." I swallowed.

"Why do you guys look and sound like it's the end of the world and we didn't make heaven?" Raven asked as she looked from Zach to Gwen.

Gwen gulped. "Something bad happened. Something really bad."

"Is Jaxton alright?" I swiftly asked in a panic tone.

"Huh?" Gwen looked confused. "Oh! He's fine. It's not about Jaxton."

I felt relived. "Okay. So what is it?"

"Well," she cleared her throat.

I tilted my head to look at Raven and she did the same, we both didn't understand but we knew it had to be that bad. I looked back at them and Zach was staring straight at me and it was the first time I could actually understand what his eyes said, we weren't friends but it had to be serious if he didn't want her to know.

He didn't want Raven to know about it just yet. It was about her.

"Raven, um...give us a second."

"No, I wanna know what's going on." She deadpanned.

"Just....a sec." I said and moved a little further away from her with Zach and Gwen. "Speak."

"Johnathan pulled a fucking stunt!" Zach said in an angry whisper.

"W-What'd you mean?" I asked as my brows slowly went downwards.

"He knows about us trying to get Raven justice," Zach said firmly.

"What? How?"

He shrugged. "Jon called me last night and told me about his plan of doing something to Raven and we tried to call you but we couldn't reach you and-"

I stopped him as I looked at Gwen, she shouldn't be here. "Um,"

"Listen here, boys. Raven's my friend and I know the rumor going around school isn't true so you guys better let me help since that fucking prick is up to something and is gonna try to ruin her life and you know how high school is."

I gulped. "She's right," I blinked as I just heard what she said. "Wait, rumor?"

Zach and Gwen both nodded.

"What did he do?" I asked softly.

"He started a rumor and now everyone know about it, Eastwood secrets." Zach answered.

I gulped, my heart racing. "Y-Your phone."

Gwen pulled out her phone that had a pink case and typed something before handing it to me. She had opened the site and the trending secret wasn't Henry and I, it was about an article.

"A confession from one of our very best football players, a popular student who transfered months ago- Johnathan." I read the title with a frown.

I had to know what this was about and began reading the article and my heart stopped, I could feel the anger inside of me build up the more. I kept reading with wide eyes, I couldn't believe this. "No," I muttered as I read and didn't once stop until I got to the end. "What the fuck? This isn't what happened." I said and looked at both of them, so that's why people have been staring at her.

"But that's what they think now!" Gwen said quietly.

"That son of a bitch!" I clenched my fists.

"That fucking asshole actually made everyone believe Raven is a slut and was the one who came after him, that she was the one who wanted to have sex with him when he didn't want to and she tried to force herself on him. What the fuck?" Zach was clearly pissed.

"And went as far as adding that she threatened to tell everyone that he wanted to rape her." Gwen said softly. I wanted to pull my hair.

"Fucking asshole!" I hissed. "He's a fucking step ahead."

"He knows about our plan."

I shook my head. "He doesn't. He's just protecting himself. He knows that sooner or later we're gonna try to find justice for her. He knows that's what we want to do, he read me. He's protecting himself so why not let out a statement first before Raven says hers. Shit." I cursed.

"Fucking prick!" Zach sighed. "Does she know?"

I shook my head. "I doubt it," I sighed. "I'm so gonna make sure Johnathan gets it from me." I said suddenly Gwen's phone was pulled away from my hand, I turned the same time as the both of them and Raven was with it and looking at what I was reading.

"Raven! No."

"I can't be left out." She said dryly and began to read. "I see someone topped your secret, Dylan." She said with a smile as she read and slowly it started to disappear. "What?" She muttered as she read.

Gwen, Zach and I stood in silence as we watched her. "W-We....Raven you s-shouldn't read that." I said softly.

She gulped and looked at all of three of us. "That fucking cocksucker." She said, her voice low and filled with a powerful hatred.

"Ra-" before I could finish my words, she turned and stormed down the hall. I looked at Gwen and Zach, they looked as panicked as I did, she was gonna do something. I ran after her before they did. "Raven!" I called out but she didn't stop and walked further.

"Shit! What's she about to do?" Gwen asked as we followed Raven whose legs suddenly became longer and faster, people did stare. They were all staring at her and I knew they were gonna come for her soon, this was Eastwood for fuck sake.

Everyone is a psychopath.

"Raven, wait!" I said and ran to stand in front of her. "Wait, deep breaths okay? It-"

"Get. The fuck out. Of my way!" She said icily, every emphasis made sent shivers down my spine. I moved away and she continued walking like she could sense his dark aura and knew where he was.

Raven walked into a classroom and Quinn was sitting on his desk and about three football players were around him, they were all talking and laughing about something. She did sense it. I looked at Raven and her eyes were red with anger, she made her way towards him and moved queen out or the way, she let out a yelp and yelled at Raven. "What the fuck?"

"You better stay out of my way!" She said to her with so much coldness and looked at Johnathan.

He smiled and looked at her. "Hey, what are you-" she lifted her hand and swung, slapping him across the face so hard, we all flinched and the class went completely silent. Jonathan's face turned to his left and handprint could be seen on his cheek, it was slowly turning pink. Raven's eyes were filled with anger as she breathed heavily.

"You good for nothing whore." Quinn sneered.

"Hey, rape apologist!" I called out to her. "Why don't you shut the fuck up and stop acting like you mean something to him when you definitely do not."

"Suck a dick, Dylan."

Raven's eyes didn't leave Johnathan, he chuckled and took a deep breath before looking back at her with a smile. "That did hurt."

"Who the fuck do you think you are?"

"Um, Johnathan?"

"Why did you lie? Why'd you spread such rumor?"

"It wasn't a rumor," he smiled. "That's what happened, you tried to force me to have sex with you."

She huffed. "So this is it then? You suddenly decided to pull a Bryce walker on me? Wow, I knew you were stupid but I didn't think you would stoop so low. You are a fucking miserable piece of shit with daddy issues and that's what you'll always be," she hit a spot, I saw the way Jonathan's expression changed, he always hated that and she knew it, she was using my tactic.

"Don't your parents ever tell you to run away cause you're a fucking disappointment? I bet daddy hates your guts and wishes you weren't his son and wants to get rid of you." She chuckled. "A fucking rapist. That's what you are. What would your mother say? What if your mother was the one who was in my shoes when that happened? When this happened? You're miserable. Forever will be. You told a lie about me. You were the one who tried to force yourself on me and you know it!"

I watched Johnathan, the mention of daddy got him riled up and ready to break Raven's jaw. If it were just both of them alone, he probably would have. He was that scary, but he couldn't, so he just forced a smile on his face as he listened to her.

"You really don't get tired of all this shit now, huh?" Quinn asked, cutting in. "You know, I didn't think you would stoop so low, Rave. I mean, I know you're capable of a lot but this? It's a shocker. Everyone knows the kinda person you are and I'm glad he spoke up."

"Sweetheart if I were you I'd stop talking." Raven turned to her.

"Why? Because you are used to having things your own way?" Quinn asked, cocking her brow. "You've never had your voice taken away, have you? Here's an example." Quinn smirked.

"You should probably say bye to everything now. Take down your posters cause no one would think of voting you as homecoming queen ever. Your reputation is gone because you're a fucking whore and an embarrassment to women for wanting to take advantage of a student! You call me so many things, Raven, but you are just as bad." She hissed.

"Hey. Leave her alone, Quinn." Gwen said and approached her. "I'm pretty sure when humans are talking, people made out of plastic shouldn't involve themselves in such discussions."

Quinn laughing. "Keep talking, you might trip and die tomorrow." She said and flashed her a smile.

"I will tie up my hair and make sure you go for a surgery tonight," Gwen warned. "Don't test me."

"Try it then." Quinn folded her arms. "Let's see if you would like the aftermath." She flashed her a smile.

Gwen took a step forward but I held her hand, pulling her back. "Don't."

"You'll fucking pay." Raven said to Johnathan. "I'll let everyone know exactly who you are."

"The thing is, they already know who you are, a cheap slut." He smirked.

"Okay that's it." I couldn't hold in my anger anymore but before I could approach him, Zach ran to him and punched him so hard he fell off his chair.

"What the fuck!" Quinn yelled and was by his side in less than a second.

Zach was about to punch him again when I yelled out his name. "He's not worth it! We're at school. Let's avoid you getting into trouble." I pulled him away.

I walked over to Johnathan and scoffed. "You're a selfless bastard, you know?"

Johnathan smirked at me as he wiped his bloody lip. "Just how you like them."

"I would kill you if I could."

"Go ahead. That's the you I wanna see anyways, the one the kids here don't know." He chuckled, and I swallowed.

"You think making people's life miserable is gonna make things better for you? No wonder mommy and daddy don't love you." I said and his smile disappeared. "Pathetic."

"You haven't seen the worst of me." Raven said and walked out of the class immediately, Gwen followed and so did Zach after shooting Johnathan a death glare. I turned and began walking out as well when I heard him chuckle, I stopped and turned to him. He stood up, wiped off the blood on his lips and smirked. He adjusted his football jacket and began making his way towards me. I wasn't scared of him. Never was. I folded my arms to stop myself from hitting him, I knew he had something to say and wanted to know what was funny. He smirked at me and whispered. "Two down."

"You are really a low class asshole." I sneered. "I know about what you did, concerning Jaxton."

"How's the friendship?" He tilted his head to the side and smiled.

I didn't answer.

"Then I'm glad to know all my plans are working perfectly. You'll find comfort in me soon, Dylan. Jaxton's gone now and I'm gonna ruin Raven too." He wiggled his brows, I guess Zach's punch didn't hurt as bad as we thought or maybe Johnathan's just too psychotic.

"Why'd you lie?"

"I needed to protect myself, I'm fighting against you so I have to be prepared."

I shook my head. "No, you're fighting against yourself. Not me. You're that pathetic. But if you're trying to start a war just make sure you are ready to fight."

"Oh I'm ready. You should know I'll take a thousand punches from your friends because of you." He smirked and winked.

"I really hope you get hit by a car." I said and headed for the door once the bell rang.

"Oh and Dylan,"

I stopped but didn't turn back.

"That Pratt boy is next," he stated.

I finally turned.

"I don't like him and its the second time he's hitting me." He said angrily.

"He's not my friend. Leave him alone."

"Yeah, but whatever happens to him does affect you, doesn't it?" He grinned.

"You wish." I scoffed.

He made his way back to me. "If it affects your boy toy then it will affect you." He smiled at me and tucked my hair behind my ear, I slapped his hand off and gave him the middle finger. "God, you're so hot." He really was crazy.

"You're living proof that man can actually live without a brain." I tsked. "Stay away from all of them, Lucifer." I said and walked out.

****

The first paper was over, I had been watching Raven. She was writing continuously on her paper and didn't once look away but the anger never left her eyes. I don't even know if she answered the questions completely cause ten minutes later she submitted and walked out without a word, I wanted to go after her but I wasn't done with my own work. I turned to look at Zach and he had the same worried look like I did. My eyes met Henry's and he gave me a warm smile, I smiled back at him but it wasn't really a sincere one.

"You okay?" He mouthed.

I nodded. "I'm fine." I replied.

When I was done with my work which I had to do real fast, I had gone in search of Raven but couldn't find her and was panicking, I didn't even know where to search. Zach decided to help me find her once I had to be excused since a junior told me someone wanted to see me at the auditorium and I already knew whom it was.

I walked into the auditorium and closed the door behind me, I spotted Henry at a bleacher and approached him with a smile. "I knew it had to be you, it's always you."

"I guess I need a new routine, pretty boy." He replied, making me smile the more. He smiled back at me as I climbed up to meet him, I was about to sit next to him when he pulled me on his lap.

I gasped while he chuckled. "Possessive much?"

He grinned and nodded. "Yup, I have to be." He said as wrapped his arms around me. "You okay? You've been looking kinda dull. No smiles."

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay." I lied.

"You're not okay. You should know more than to try and lie to me." He chuckled. Damn it. "It's about the rumor huh? Everyone's kinda talking about it."

I groaned. "This is bad." I sighed and covered my face with my hands. "I can't believe she has to go through all of this. I've been searching for her but couldn't find her."

"Hey," he rubbed my back. "Don't think about it. It'll go away and everyone will shut up.." He said and kissed my jaw. "People talk, it's how it is here and it's best to ignore them."

"No," i shook my head. "Everyone thinks that prick is fucking right and that sucks."

"Well he's not and you know it and I know it and her true friends do and so, that's all that matters. You should tell her that." He gave me a comforting smile. "People are always gonna talk and it's your decision, her decision if she's gonna stand and listen to their stupid opinions."

I blinked. "Wow, sometimes you say the smartest things and I wonder if there are two people inside of you." I smiled.

He frowned. "Nuh uh. No one's going to be inside of me, that's my job."

I grimaced. "Ew, Henry."

He laughed. "It's true."

"Well tell that to some wattpad stories cause boys like you end up bottoming for the mafia guys and shit like that."

"Well this isn't that story."

"True fact." I said and chuckled.

He just smiled at me. "I don't like seeing you look this way." He said as he continuously stroked my back. "Sad and miserable, it's not a cool look. I like it when you smile, it's cute." He said and began pulling my cheek and trying to make a smiley face.

"Henrrrry!!! Stop!" I said and giggled.

"Much better." He smiled.

"How can I smile when shit happens, you barely smiled when we were enemies."

"Like you said, you can't smile when shit happens." He shrugged.

"Find your own words!"

He chuckled. "I like yours."

I grinned as I just stared at him, this felt nice. It always did around him. It somewhat felt like a dream come true, maybe cause it was.

"What?" He asked.

"You're really cute."

"Hey!" His brows shot up. "Masculini-"

"Shut up," I said and kissed him softly.

"Mm" he moaned. "Someone's hungry," he mumbled against my lips.

I chuckled and smacked his arm. "Don't ruin it." I giggled and soon Raven flashed in my head and I couldn't stop thinking about how to help her out and kill Johnathan.

"What are you thinking about? I can tell something's going on in that head of yours."

I sighed softly. "I'm just so worried about her and my head's so full with everything that has been happening and I just wanna stop thinking about it all and it's like you're like the only one who can help me with that."

"Look," he stroked my arm. "It's gonna be fine." He said and looked me in the eye. "I'm also concerned about Raven and I can't help but wonder how her parents would react after hearing about this rumor, if....they care."

I snorted. "I wish."

"And," he continued. "What her ex's parents would say too. It's messed up actually and-" my eyes widen and I gasped dramatically once an idea popped in my head.

"What?" He asked.

"Oh my God!" I exclaimed.

"Um,"

"Oh my God! You're a genius!" I grinned.

"W-What'd I say?" He looked confused.

"Of course! The parents." I chuckled. "Oh my, why didn't I think of this before?" I grinned and kissed him deeply. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I kissed him severally.

"Um?" He still looked confused. "You're....welcome?"

I jumped off his lap, I had to tell them there was still a way. I began walking away real quick. "I'll see you later at your place. I have to find Raven!" I yelled to his hearing as I ran out of the auditorium. I turned on my phone and called Zach, asking him where they were and he said to come to the cafeteria. I ran to the cafeteria with a smile and spotted all three of them there and by three, I mean including Jaxton. My smile disappeared.

"Hey, what's up? You sounded a little joyful on the phone." Zach said.

I faked a smile and ignored Jaxton as I approached them. "I figured it out." I said. "I know how to solve this problem!"

Raven sighed and looked at me. "There's no fixing this, Dylan." She sighed. "Apparently, I'm a slut and everyone thinks that."

"That's not true." Zach said.

She looked from me to Zach and arched her brow at him. "I got a note in my locker that said slut in a bold red paint," she said firmly. "I got another one, a letter actually from a fan." She said and opened her bag, she dived her hand into and took out a paper, she opened it and read it aloud. "You are a fucking pathetic cheap slut." She said and fake smiled. "I love my fans. Now, tell me not everyone thinks that."

Zach looked away and she sighed. "I thought so."

"Not everyone thinks that," I spoke out. "I don't and Jon doesn't and Zach and Gwen and that's all that matters because we're friends and we believe you. We know the real story-"

"But they don't."

"And fuck them! Fuck what they think! Someone once told me that people are gonna talk, they always do." I shrugged. "No matter what you do, if you coil your hair, make a bun out of it, dye it, wear a skirt or black lipstick. They're gonna talk no matter what, its your decision if you're gonna stay and listen to whatever crap they have to say. It's your choice if you're gonna continue with your life and give them the middle finger cause you're powerful." I said and took a seat beside her. "You're Raven. You're the most powerful redhead that I know, the most crazy and mind blowing female evil villain slash hero that I have ever fucking met. The strongest. Toughest. Who fought for her best friend and made the other girl go for a nose job after hitting her,"

She chuckled and looked down at her hands, I smiled at her. "That's who you are. A Phoenix. Killer frost. My best friend and you are more powerful than you know. For fuck sake, people are scared of you here, including boys and you shouldn't let your guard down."

"Well, they're gonna take revenge on me now."

"People talked about me Raven, a lot. It was like every month it was about me. White haired boy in Eastwood high. Savior of the week. Dark angel the next week. Dancer. The rumor about what happened with Vaughn. My falling down the stairs. Henry and I being the worst enemy. Eric and I. My coming out photo. Jesus, Raven. I would make thirteen reasons why sell more than it did if I took Hannah Baker's place."

She chuckled while Zach smiled. "I would make a hit series if I killed myself after making tapes cause a lot of people here would be on that tape after all the problems they caused me but I didn't give a shit about what everyone had to say. I'm still alive and I know more rumors will be spread out but no fucks are given cause its my life and only I can control it. No one tells me how to live my life and so no one should tell you how to live yours." I smiled at her. "You're fucking amazing, beautiful and perfect and any boy would die to have you."

"He's right." Zach said and smiled at her.

She smiled at me, her eyes red. She sighed and wiped them off before they fell like the classy rich kid she was. "Damn, you're gonna make me ruin my makeup."

I chuckled. "Well do cry,"

She snickered. "Johnathan really is a fucking asshole." She sniffed.

"That's an understatement." I chuckled softly.

"Damn, you have a way with words. I hate you for making me feel better." She said with a smile as she still wiped off her tears.

I giggled. "Come here," I said and pulled her into a hug. "I've got you. We've got you."

"Thank you guys so much," she sniffed and pulled away.

"We're gonna stand by you no matter what." Jax smiled at her, I rolled my eyes and looked at Raven.

"So, Dylan. You said you have a plan?" Zach asked.

I nodded and looked at him. "Yeah, it's about the parents."

They all looked confused. "I don't understand." Raven said.

I was about to say when I looked at Jaxton. "You need to leave."

His brows knitted. "What? No. I'm here for my friend."

"And your service has come to an end, you might leave now." I flashed him a smile.

"Dylan, what are you doing? He's not going." Raven said.

I shook my head at her. "He has to. I'm not gonna fucking tell my plan in front of a guy who could be working for Johnathan."

"Excuse me?" He frowned.

"How?" Zach asked. "Isn't he your best friend?"

"Ex best friend. He's been taking advice from Lucifer and I can't trust him cause you can't make a deal with the devil without selling your soul."

"What the fuck? I don't work for him!" He barked

"I don't care. Things like this are gonna be private now. I only can tell the people I trust and these two here are my friends and I'm only gonna tell them about it and not a stranger."

"Dylan," Raven called softly. "I know Jaxton can be stupid most times but don't ban him out."

"Sorry, who's Jaxton?" I turned to her.

Her brows furrowed and she blinked. "Wow."

"Its fine." Jaxton said and picked up his nag, trowing it over his shoulder. "I'll see you later." He said to her and walked out angrily.

"That was harsh." Zach said. "He's your best friend, no matter what happens."

"You never can predict the ways of the Antichrist," I smiled at them. "He's not my best friend and I don't even know who he is."

"You deny people so fast." Zach said in a tone of disbelief.

"Wanna know if I can stab your throat faster with Raven's heels?"

"Go to hell."

"And maybe we can have marathon sex there." I flashed him a smile.

He grimaced. "Ew."

"Guys!" Raven called out and sighed. "Back to the plan. Thank you."

"Yeah, you-" I turned to her. "Are gonna have to tell your parents."

Her eyes widen. "Are you fucking kidding? No."

"Listen-"

"They won't even believe me and I've got no proof but do you even know the reputation I have at school? No. They will believe Johnathan over me." She shook her head. "Change of plans."

I sighed. "Relax. No. Johnathan's parents doesn't want him to screw up and they're evil as fuck. Well, his father doesn't like him but his mother protects him like a lioness would her cub."

"Your point?" Zach's brow rose.

"You're gonna have another dinner, Johnathan's parents and yours too. We're gonna tell them about it and make them realize who the Smith's are. Johnathan will be dealt with and your parents would cut off the deal with them and throw him in jail or something. Two birds killed with one stone." I shrugged. "Johnathan and the proposal before the Smith's sign it."

"He's got a point." Zach agreed.

"Yeah except there's no proof. Johnathan is evil and manipulative and he can turn this over and make it about me, in case you guys forgot he's got fuel for blood." She said angrily.

"That's why I'm gonna get you your proof before the end of the day."

They both looked at me.

"Huh?" Raven's brows rose.

"How?" Zach's brows knitted.

I nodded. "I'll make sure I get him on tape. He thinks he stopped the problem by making you the culprit and him the victim but he just gave us our ticket to victory land." I said and cocked my brow with a devious smirk.

They both looked confused and exchanged looks. "H-How?" Raven asked.

"He thought this was gonna protect him from the future and our plans of getting him on tape all failed...colorfully." I sighed. "But he doesn't know he just made it a whole lot easier for us." I smirked.

She looked like she wanted the whole details of the plan and was unsure.

"He messes with you, he messes with all of us. Look, you've got to trust me."

Raven looked hesitant, she looked at Zach who gave her a nod and back at me. "Okay, okay. Let's do it."

"Good. So you tell your parents to set another dinner. That you want to have one with the Smith's but what they don't know is a certain Dexwell will be attending too." I grinned.

"My father hates you." She said plainly.

"And I don't like him either but it is what it is and maybe he'll give me one of the things he promised me if I stopped being your friend."

Her brows knitted. "What?"

"You know, he bribed me but never mind." I shrugged. "Just do as I said," I smiled. "I'll take care of the rest." I assured her.

"I hope this works out, Dylan."

"It will, i promise. Johnathan is the scapegoat here, he has no idea what's coming for him." I grinned.

"I'm n-not gonna be home till later cause of this t-thing I have to do so when do I tell them?"

"You can tell them now," I shrugged. "Tell them you'd be home late but you would like for the dinner to happen again."

She grimaced. "Ugh, I hate this."

"But you've got no choice." I smiled. "We're gonna kill him."

"You look creepy." Zach grimaced.

"And you're still ugly even after surgery." I shot back.

"I hate you so much."

"Your existence annoys me."

"Fuck you."

"I'd pick barney over you."

Raven chuckled and shook her head. "And here I thought I was supposed to be the one getting all the attention here."

"You are," I nodded. "I just can't stand Zach."

"You've got an ugly personality."

"At least it's hotter than your mom."

"Okaaay!" Raven cut in. "Boys, no. I'm out. I'm not gonna be here when someone dies." She said and stood up, she picked up her bag and began walking out of the cafeteria. "And I mean you, Dylan!" She yelled out as she walked.

Zach laughed and got off the table.

"What the fuck?" I stood up and followed her with Zach beside me. "I can kill him."

"Sure you can." She snorted.

"I hate the both of you." I scowled.

***

I stood outside Johnathan's class and just stared at him, he was talking to his 'friends' including Jon. I really did pity Jon, he had to act like he liked Johnathan. Johnathan stood up with a sigh and I heard him say he had to use the bathroom so I quickly made my way to the bathroom before he could get there. I waited in a stall, you would think the boys bathroom would be disgusting like most boy's bathrooms but Eastwood high wasn't, this school was like an alternative universe of what real life would be like....most of the times. I turned on the record app and tucked my phone into my front pocket.

I heard the door open and a sigh that belonged to the devil, peeing sound that didn't want to stop and hearing it made me want to pee at that moment but I held myself and once he was done and I heard the flush sound, I flushed mine which wasn't used and walked out of the stall with a straight face. Time to act. I came out the same time as he did, I gave a frustrated sigh once I saw him. "Of course, I had to run into you." I said and walked to the sink.

He chuckled. "Hello, Dylan."

I began washing my hands and noticed his lip was bruised. "Zach did a wonderful job hitting you, I wish he did more."

He laughed. "Yeah well if I wanted him dead now then he'd be dead but like I said, I do have plans for him and no, I won't kill him." He said with a smile as he washed his hands.

"You know you're psychotic."

He grinned. "The best kind, huh? Do you think the joker would let me join his club?"

"This isn't funny, johnny." I said and turned to him.

"I like when you call me that." He smirked and dried off his hands.

"Why did you lie?"

"I didn't." He shrugged.

"I know what happened. You know I know."

"That what? I had to protect myself, I know who you are and what you can do. You'd probably want to get the truth out of me and I need to save myself." He grinned.

"Why don't you admit what you did?"

"That I almost had sex with Raven against her will? Oh God no, I can't. My reputation would be tarnished and my father would beat the crap out of me but you know that." He shrugged.

"Then why do it? You could have any girl you want and yet you tried to rape her."

He took a step towards me and his smile disappeared. "I wanted to hurt you, Dylan. That's what I want. And if I get the opportunity to do it to her then I will and I won't let her escape this time, I'll make sure I fuck her hard till she cries."

I slapped him. "You're disgusting, you're a fucking rapist."

"Call me whatever you want to, stormy. I don't care," he laughed. "As long as it's you, I'll take whatever name you call me."

"You are going to ruin her life."

"I know," he nodded. "I'll ruin all their lives and you know I can."

I was getting mad, what exactly did he want from me? Why was he doing his to them? "What do you want? Why them? What the fuck is your problem?"

"You really don't know?" He chuckled as if it was obvious. "You'll know soon."

"You're a bad omen."

He smirked. "You might have forgotten but we are the same,"

"I'm nothing like you." I sneered.

"Actually we are, but there's only one difference." His brows shot up. "Everyone knows who I am, they classify me as the devil and that I'm the bad one and they are cautious of me. But they are crazy," he laughed. "They don't know whom they should be scared of the most. We're both bad. You and me? We're the same."

"I am nothing like you."

"Are you sure?" He cocked his brow at me. "Because I remember a certain someone stabbing someone's palm into a table for gossiping about you."

I said nothing. Johnathan chuckled and hissed afterwards. "You know what it is, stormy? Everyone prefers me. It's like this, they'd rather fear the devil they know then the devil they don't know and...I'm the devil they know." He smirked while I gulped and stayed quiet.

"They don't know that you my friend, you're something else and that is why I adore you. Your art."

"You're insane."

"Am I?" He chuckled, his hand playing with my hair. I slapped his hand off angrily, glaring at him. "We've done a lot of bad things together. Do you really think changing places just changes you as a person?"

"I have actual friends here."

"And trust, they'll turn on you as fast as they can. Why? Because you already see what I see in them. They're gonna break you."

"You're full of shit."

"Oh, how soft you've become. It's an eyesore." He scoffed.

I looked away the second someone walked into the bathroom, Johnathan didn't even look back and just shouted. "GET OUT NOW!" his eyes never left me and the poor boy ran out immediately.

The smile returned to his face and he continued like no one interrupted.  "Just the two of us, we can take over this school like we did ours if we wanted to and be like those gay sociopaths in that book we both read online together years ago. Jamie and Morgan, but you're a hundred percent Jamie. You're that bad, love and you know it, you're just good at pretending to be good."

"I believe you're Jamie. The sociopath who manipulates people and uses them. You fucking triedto rape me."

"And I apologised for it. I was out of it and couldn't think. I would never hurt you." He caressed my cheek and I slapped his hand off again.

"Stay away from my friends, Johnathan. Last warning."

Johnathan snickered. "You know what is funny? How you're fighting for people who don't fully trust you. Are these even your friends like you say? You'll die for them, but they....wont bat an eye to do the same."

I said nothing.

"You are fighting for someone that would turn at you at the slightest inconvenience without even understanding, when you could be by my side." Johnathan hissed. "And I will show you how fast she will dumb you, that friend of yours."

"Fuck you, Lucy."

He bit his lower lip and smirked as he walked backwards. "See you around, Dylan." He said and walked out the door.

I swallowed hard and took out my phone from my pocket, I stopped the recording and looked back at the door. "I did warn you," I said softly and walked out of the bathroom.

***

I sat down and looked over at Raven on her seat. "Well, have you called them?"

She nodded. "Yeah, mom did sound excited that I wanted dinner with them again." She sighed.

"Good." I smiled.

"Did you...get it yet?"

I smirked. "All here." I waved my phone at her and she grinned.

"So we're gonna end this."

I nodded. "We're sending him to hell."

She smiled. "Thank you, Dylan."

"I'm gonna be here for you, wasn't that what I said? I love you and whatever battle you get to fight, I'm in it too." I smiled, she nodded. "You have to call me when dinner's about to start so that I can leave my house and come play the tape for your parents, okay?"

She nodded. "Okay. I will."

Some jocks were passing our midst and smiled at Raven, they weren't football players. "Yo, Raven." One of the boys, who stood in front and had yellow and black hair called out and gained our attention. "Saturday night? You wanna hang at m place? I'll let you force yourself on me and you can do whatever you want to." He said and the boys behind him laughed and all gave each other a high five.

He was the same dog i had hit with a book some months back, who choked me.

I looked at Raven and gave her a little nod, she sighed and looked at the boy with a smile. "Even though girls do rape guys, no one would want to do you Daniel. I know I wouldn't, we all know how tiny your dick is, I mean it's clearly obvious a six year old is bigger than you are down there. The girls talk about it in the bathroom, every girl you've done, they talk." She shrugged. "Rachel, Alexa, Betty, Priscilla." She said and grinned.

His boys cooed and held back their laughter while I smiled. The boy 'Daniel' wasn't laughing now and just glared at Raven.

"You suddenly went quiet," she said and chuckled. "Well, I guess the rumors are true, huh? No wonder jasmine broke up with you after a month of your so called relationship. You really couldn't satisfy her, could you?" She smirked and cleared her throat. "You're not even worth it, I mean me trying to force myself on you cause I won't even feel it I mean," She snorted. "Let's face it, nothing's going in." I held back a laugh. "A virgin wouldn't even know she's having sex. Betty? She tagged you worst sex ever."

Now the class erupted into a laughter and Daniel's face was red with anger. He glared at her and muttered that word. "Slut. That's what you are. A fucking slut. A cheap stinking low class slut!"

"Hey!" I stood up but before I could react, a hand behind me, grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer aggressively. I turned to see Henry holding him tightly.

"What did you say to her?"

Raven stood up as well.

"I uh, I just s-spoke the truth, bruh." He looked panicked.

"Is that a way to speak to a lady?" He tightened his grip on his shirt. "Apologize to her. Right now." He ordered.

"But-"

"This isn't a suggestion, Daniel. It's an order! Do it or I'll break your face." He said in a cold voice while glaring daggers at sweating Daniel.

"S-Sorry," he muttered.

"Louder!"

"SORRY, OKAY? I'M SORRY!" He said out loud.

"If I hear you or any of the boys call her a slut or whatever name again, you guys will get it from me. Understood?"

He nodded rapidly. Henry looked away from him and at the boys behind him. "Understood?"

They all nodded and looked down. "You all are shameless, imagine if it was actually your sister or your fucking mother. Assholes." He said and let go off Daniel but he fell straight on his ass, his shirt rumpled.

"Jesus," Daniel said and stood up, walking away.

"They aren't even writing here." I said as I watched them all walk out.

Raven smiled and chuckled. "That was actually a fun conversation. Now everyone's gonna be taking about how small his dick is by the end of the day as well. Fucking prick."

I chuckled and looked at Henry. "Thank you."

Raven turned to him. "Yeah, thank you so much for...doing that. Could you maybe knock out a tooth or maybe five in case that happens again?"

I snickered.

Henry nodded. "I'll make sure they don't talk for a month or two."

"I love you already." She smiled at him. "Thanks again."

"No problem, I know that's no way to treat a lady. Especially if she's a friend of Dylan here." He said and smiled at me.

I couldn't not smile the more as I stared at him. Raven was quiet and chuckled. "Wow, you guys are really eye fucking each other."

I looked away from him instantly and at her with wide eyes. "Raven!"

"It's the truth." She said before sitting back down.

I sighed and looked at Henry. "Thank you again."

He nodded and walked back to his seat while I sat down. "Jesus, Raven. Really?"

She looked at me with a smile. "What? You're red as fuck anyways which means it's true."

"I-I'm red?"

She nodded. "Very."

"Shit." I cursed while she giggled.

"Okay," a voice said out loud, getting our attention. "Time for the next paper." The man smiled.

***

We had been writing for about forty minutes when I realized something, I looked back at Zach's seat but he wasn't there. Where the fuck was he? He wouldn't want to miss this. Zach wouldn't want to miss an exam I looked at my book and decided to ask Raven. "Psst."

She stopped writing and looked at me. "I'm not telling you my answer."

I looked at the teacher first to make sure he wasn't looking before looking back at her. "Zach isn't here." I whispered

She looked back and frowned. "I don't...I mean, he was called into the principal's office earlier before the exam started, he should be back." She whispered back.

I frowned. "I didn't hear his name on the speakers."

She shook her head. "No, two boys did come to call him to the office."

"Oh, I-" I froze for about three seconds, my eyes widen and I looked at Raven. She stared at me in confusion and then it hit her, hers widen as well.

"Shit."

"That fucking cumbag!"

"You think he-"

"He's after Zach now. Fuck. Meet me outside in twenty seconds." I quickly stood up and walked over to the teacher. "I um, I really really need to pee. It's bad."

He just gave me a bored look. "Dylan, you can go when you done."

"It's bad," I said as I pretended to want to pee in my pants. "Please, my phone's in my bag and not with me."

He sighed. "Dylan,"

"Have I ever cheated? Come on,"

He looked at me for some seconds and sighed. "Well I guess you're right, you are one of the brightest." He said and handed me a hall pass.

"Thank you." I said and ran out. I walked a little and waited for Raven at the back of a wall while peeping to make sure she was out and in less than ten seconds she was out with her own pass. "I said thirty. How did he let you out that fast?"

"I used the word period." She said as she walled further. "Now where can we find him?"

"I don't know. Shit. Where do you think Johnathan would hide Zach?"

"Um, I wouldn't know but m-maybe..cafeteria?"

"I don't think so but....boys bathroom! Boy's fucking bathroom!" I said and began heading there, we both ran towards the boys bathroom and Raven stopped at the entrance. "I'll wait here, I can't mess with my sanity."

I rolled my eyes at her exaggeration and walked in, I checked all the stalls but he wasn't here. "Shit." I muttered and ran a hand through my hair. "Zach's not there." I said as I walked out.

"Well damn, If he has Zach then where do you think he'd put him?"

"He'd keep Zach where no one would find him just yet." I frowned as realization hit me.

"Locker room." Raven and I chorused and headed towards there, we increased our speed and all rushed into the locker room. "Zach!!" Raven called.

"Pratt!" I looked around.

We both began to check around and with a sigh I took out my phone and called Zach's phone.

"Didn't you say it was in your bag?"

"Catch up, Raven. I lie real quick."

We both heard a ringtone and it came from the bathroom, we hurried there and stopped on our heels at the sight. Zach had his hands and legs tied up as he laid in there, Raven rushed and knelt beside him and remove the gag. "Shit. You okay?"

This had Johnathan all over it, the locker room. The bathroom. He chose this spot.

"He's losing his mind." I said and dropped my phone on a bench and went over to them, helping Raven lose the ropes. "He tied you up, he's losing it."

"I'm gonna kill him." Zach said as we loosened the ropes. "They actually beat the shit out of me." His cheek was bruised.

"He's going nuts. He hates you and came after you." I said as I pulled the rope away.

Zach stood up and winced in pain. "Fucking assholes! He's got like half the team by his side."

"Are you okay? What part of your body hurts? Ribs?" Raven asked, sounding extremely concerned it made me frown a little but then maybe she was just worried.

"I'm fine." He smiled at her.

"We need to report this." Raven suggested.

Zach shook his head. "No, let's not involve the school for when I destroy that face of his." He said angrily.

"Guys, we need to head back, we have about thirty minutes before the exam ends so let's go." I said and stood up. "You can't miss it and we can't either. If we all want to go to college then we need to not have an F or.....C."

We all walked out of the locker together and back to the class, the teacher stared at all three of us and so did the whole class, we flashed him a fake smiled.

"Pratt?" He called with knitted brows. "Where have you been?" He asked.

"I...I'm gonna go sit." I said and walked to my desk, Raven followed and we sat at the same time. I felt his eyes on me and so I looked back and saw Henry with a suspicious look on his face, I fake smiled and looked away.

"We need to end him fast." Raven said.

I nodded. "Tonight we burn the witch."

***

Raven and I were out of the class the same time and began walking to her locker when we saw Johnathan approaching us with a smile. "Hello, friends."

We didn't reply.

"Oh well, I got a call from my parents and heard there's gonna be another dinner."

Raven just folded her arms and said nothing.

"Dress nice." He grinned.

"You better be careful," Raven said.

He chuckled. "I'm sure this might will go my way." He said and walked away.

"Can I listen to his confession?" She sighed. "I hate him."

I nodded and dived my hand into my pocket but my phone wasn't there, I frowned and checked all my pockets.

"Dylan?"

"My phone. I can't find it!"

Her eyes widened. "The fuck? T-Try to remember where you kept it last."

"I don't remember."

"DYLAN!"

We were both panicking.

"Um, I used it to...." I instantly remembered. "Locker room!"

"Well go get it!"

I quickly ran to the locker room, praying that Johnathan had not taken it or deleted it. I bumped into students and just kept muttering sorry, I ran to the locker room and to the bench I last dropped it and it was there. I let out a breath of relief and quickly checked for the recording, I played the latest one and it was the confession. "Oh thank you so much, God." I sighed and walked out of the locker from and ran back to Raven.

"Tell me you found it."

I nodded. "I did."

She let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness, you fucking scared me."

"Sorry."

"Did you check if it-"

I nodded. "Yeah."

She sighed. "Oh, thank God."

"Don't just forget to call me tonight "

"I wouldn't dare."

***

I walked into my house with a straight face and I was first welcomed by my grandmother and then it hit me, they were supposed to be going back today.

"Shit, you guys are leaving today, aren't you?"

She chuckled. "Not anymore." She shrugged. "Your mom told us your Homecoming's on Friday and we wanna see you and your suit."

I blinked. "Oh, no grandma. You know I don't go to such things."

"Well you'll go this year."

"Grandma n-"

"I think a blue suit would fit you so well."

"Grandma!" I groaned.

"You are going to homecoming."

"But-"

"And how come Henry hasn't asked you yet?"

I shrugged. "Cause he's not my boyfriend?"

"Doesn't matter, you like him and he likes you. You're practically dating."

"Not true."

"You guys aren't gonna take thirty years to actually start dating are you?"

"What? No."

"You are slow. Smart but slow." She said and walked to the living room. "You are going and if he doesn't ask you then ask him!"

"You think I should ask him?" I followed her.

"What's the harm?" She shrugged. "Ask him before someone asks him cause he's gonna say yes."

I sighed. "I'm not gonna ask him cause I don't wanna go."

"Let's see about that." She smirked deviously and sat on a long couch.

I sat on the couch as well and rested my head on her shoulder.

"You okay?"

I shook my head. "No. The devil's coming after my friends and he's doing a good job."

"Fiction devil or real life devil?"

"Real life."

"Ah, well don't let him. Deal with him."

I laughed. "I wanna make his life miserable."

"You shouldn't let him get into your head cause if he does then he won."

I sighed. "I hate him."

"I guess I understand your pain."

"I doubt it."

"I had a nemesis in school too, darling. I had to do what I had to to make sure she stopped making my life miserable and making kids life miserable."

"How'd you do that?"

"I made her bald and made her repeat the class twice."

"Isn't that like bullying too?" I chuckled.

"No it's not, she's the bully and when you bully the bully, it's not bullying. It's called....payback. Righteousness. Any thing except that."

I laughed. "Bald? I guess I got this evil blood from you and mom."

"Oh yeah, you did but yours my dear, is much scary and that is worrisome."

My smile faded. "I'm not that kid anymore."

"You sure? Cause we saw him last night and this morning as well. Your mom's worried."

"I'm fine and it's her fault anyways."

"I know she shouldn't have hit you and she was wrong in so many ways but do you know what she saw when she looked at you?" She asked and I looked at her. "That same kid."

I swallowed. "I-I'm gonna go to my room, I'm a little tired." I said and stood up, I picked up my backpack and made my way to my room.

***

Grandpa, Dad and I were watching TV while mom and grandma were busy cooking like they always did when a knock cane on the door.

"I'll get it." I announced and ran to the door, once I opened it my eyes met Henry's, he smiled at me whole I looked horrified. "Henry! H-How...what are you doing here?" He had a black shirt on, black pants and black leather jacket on. Nope, he didn't look like a hot bad boy one bit.

"You invited me." He frowned.

My brows knitted. "No, I didn't."

"Oh hello," Grandma Athena made her way to the door and smiled at Henry. "You must be Henry."

He nodded. "Yes ma'am?"

"I'm Dylan's grandmother, come on in. Why are you outside?" She said and pulled him in. "Shut the door, Dylan." She said as she walked with him to the dinning.

What the fuck?

I locked the door and quickly followed. "You're more beautiful than Dylan described."

"Oh God " I muttered.

"Hi, Mrs. Dexwell." Henry smiled at mom, she grinned once she saw him and gave him a hug.

"Henry, it's been a while. How are you?"

He nodded. "I'm good."

"And school?"

"Great." He looked uncomfortable. "How are you?"

She smiled. "I'm very okay, thanks for asking." My mother was being too motherly, its weird but then she always did this when Henry came over.

"Do sit." Grandma Athena offered.

"Um," I rushed and grabbed his hand. "One sec." I said and pulled him aside. "What the fuck? You could have texted me." I whisper yelled.

"You texted me! I mean you could have told me your parents and everyone was home, I thought you said your grandparents were leaving today."

"I thought so too but the plan changed." I sighed. "And I didn't text you. So if I didn't and you got it from me then..." My eyes went to my grandma, she smirked deviously at me and took a sip of water from her glass. "You've got to be fucking kidding me!"

"What?"

"She fucking invited you." I sighed and walked over to my grandma. "Really?"

That explains the late dinner.

"You left your phone and I had to text him." She wasn't even gonna try and deny it.

"His name isn't even Henry on my phone, how did you even fucking know my password?"

"Your password is the grim reaper. You're not a normal teenager, boy." She shook her head. "And I had to check your text messages to know who Henry is."

"Oh my God!" I groaned. "Grandma!"

She laughed. "Don't leave your phone around the place, people could actually guess your password and snoop." She smirked and walked away. I sighed and turned , I looked at Henry and sighed. "I don't like my grandmother anymore."

He chuckled. "She's beautiful. You guys are blessed with the looks."

I hear that all the time.

I grinned. "Aw, thank you." I replied, suddenly forgetting that I was mad at my grandma.

"Dinner's ready!" Mom announced.

"Boys!" Grandma called referring to her husband and son in-law.

"Any head ups?" Henry asked in a whisper.

"Yes. My family is weird."

"That's not a heads up."

"I made steak." Mom smiled at him, I frowned and then realized.

Of course, she was part of this too.

I was worried about how Dad was gonna see him or the questions they were gonna throw at him, I was scared for him and this wasn't how I wanted this to go. We all sat at the dinning, I kept my phone close to me since I waited for a text or call from Raven anytime soon so I'd leave and hoped it'd be now. It's past eight, she should have called me by now.

"So, Henry. You are a friend of Dylan, huh?" Dad asked as mom served dinner.

He nodded. "Yes I am."

"He used to come over and work with Dylan about a month ago on their project." Mom said with a smile. "He's a sweet kid."

"Oh, yeah. You did mentioned him." Dad said and nodded.

"How long you two been friends?" Grandma Athena asked with a big smile while mom sat down.

"Um, a while."

"Hmm," I was glad she left it alone.

"Just friends?" Grandpa Felix asked and I coughed.

Damn you, world.

"Yeah," I said and held his hand under the table since he was sitting next to me and I knew how uncomfortable he'd be.

He nodded. "Yeah, we're just friends." He said and looked at me.

With benefits...

"You guys would make a cute couple though." Grandma said with a smile.

Of course she was gonna do something like this.

"Grandma," I scolded as my cheeks heated, she just smiled.

"So, I heard homecomings this week? Who you going with?" Mom asked.

Shit. How could I forget that this would come up. How'd they even know homecoming was this week?

My mind knew the answer.

Jaxton.

"Uh..no one." He squeezed my hand and faked a smile. "I don't... I'm not really a fan of it but since I'm captain, I have to be there even against my wish."

"I totally get you." I said and began to eat.

"Dylan here wants to go but sadly he has no one to take him." Grandma Athena said, looking sympathetic.

My eyes widen. "Um, I'd rather stay home and watch Netflix, thank you very much." No way I'm letting her do this.

"Wait," Grandpa Felix cut in. "Since you both don't have anyone to go with to homecoming then maybe you both should-"

"No." I pointed my fork at me. "Don't even go there or I'll throw your cigarettes away for good. I know where you hide them."

"No you don't." He snorted.

"In your shoe where you think I won't see them." I said with an arched brow.

He paused. "Damn you, kid."

I smiled.

Henry chuckled. "Wow, a weird family." He muttered.

Dad just kept staring at Henry. "So, Henry. Tell us a little about yourself." Dad said as he ate, suspiciously eyeing Henry.

"Come on guys," i sighed. "He's not my boyfriend okay? He's just my friend." Who I make out with at every given opportunity and wanna have sex with.

"It's okay," Henry smiled at me. "I uh, I'm eighteen and I'm the second child. My mom's from Spain and my dad's american,"

I blinked. That explains the look and the accent in most cases.

"I'm the captain of the football team at school and that's about it."

I love the summary, although I won't lie. I was kinda looking forward to him saying more so I can know about him but I guess there was a reason why he was the mysterious one and he wasn't gonna say more than I know.

"Wow, that is nice, being the captain of the football team." Dad smiled the first time this evening. "I was the captain during my own time and it's pretty cool huh?"

Henry smiled. "Yes it is."

"Dylan here isn't a fan of sports." He smiled at me.

"Dad, I got a black eye on the first day I tried the sports things at school, I'm allowed to hate it the more."

He chuckled while Henry nudged me. "We both got detention for it."

"Totally your fault."

He chuckled.

"Dylan here is quite good at basketball though." Mom said with a smile.

"Ah yes, he's a good one." Dad smile.

"This isn't about me guys, back to Henry." I so didn't want the attention on me tonight.

"So, do you have tattoos?" Dad asked and my eyes widen. "I mean I just kinda assume you..do."

Henry smiled fakely, it was totally fake. "Yes, I do." He nodded. "I uh...got some around my shoulders."

"It's not complete if you don't have the bad boy tattoos." Grandpa Felix said and chuckled and the women on this table joined him. I guess it was supposed to be a joke, I fake laughed. "Your father got a tattoo too when he was in highschool. I didn't want him for my daughter once I saw it, he was way younger and yet had a little one on his left hand."

"I've never seen a tattoo on you before." I frowned.

"He's good at hiding it." Mom said with a smile.

My father had a tattoo and I didn't know? Of course you didn't, you hated him.

I was beginning to panic a little with the questions being thrown at him but surprisingly Henry was handling them pretty well and I made sure to answer some of them for him like a boyfriend would. His hands left mine and he trailed it down my thigh and rubbed it gently to comfort me.....or so I thought before his hand went to my crotch area and I flinched immediately, making the table shake a little.

They all looked at me. "Are you okay?" Mom asked

I nodded and fake smiled. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. I just...a disgusting memory. Never mind."

"Go on, Henry." Grandma Athena said and he nodded.

"Yeah I uh..on my fifth game -" I zoned out, my heart was beating. What was he trying to do? Ruin my life? Get my family to hate him? I can't have them hate him. It was important to me, I don't know why but it is and I want them to like him so bad. I moved his hand away and continued eating awkwardly but he wasn't having any of it. I felt his hand on my thigh again and seconds later he grabbed my crotch and laughed at the same time over something Grandpa Felix was saying. I flinched again and chocked on my food, making them all look back at me again.

"Dylan! What's wrong?" Mom asked, concerned.

"You okay?" Henry asked innocently.

"Mmhmm." I nodded. "Fine."

"Dylan, you alright?" Dad asked.

I poured myself a glass of water and drank it all in one gulp. "I'm fine."

He didn't take his hand of and palmed my growing penis. Yes, I was having an erection right now cause....how could I not.

I groaned and cursed him in my head. This felt so good but was bad at the same time cause it was risky as hell.

"The food is really delicious, Bonnie. Thank you." He smiled at her.

"You're welcome. I know how much you love the steak and so I made it for you."

I knew she was in this but I couldn't say a word.

Grandma Athena stood up and Henry quickly moved his hand away and continued to pretend he was interested in grandpa Felix's story. "Um, Dylan. Can you come help me in the kitchen?"

I opened my mouth to say something, yo give an excuse but didn't know what. I couldn't stand up while I had an erection, not happening. "I um...I c-can't."

"Dylan," mom called. "Go help your grandmother."

Grandma Athena stared at me for a while and her brows shot up and an evil smirk took over her face. "Oh," she fucking knew. "Oh, it's okay, Bonnie dear. I wouldn't want to....stop you from listening. Let it die down and then you can come help me."

Shit.

Henry chuckled.

I glared at him. "I hate you."

"Mmhmm." He smirked.

***

Dinner went well, Dad and grandpa Felix were sports fans and Henry plays football, so they talked sports with him and wouldn't let him come to me which means they did like him but I wanted him to myself. I impatiently waited for Raven's text or call but nothing. Nothing at all. Did she change her mind? I tried calling her severally but no answer and she wasn't replying to my texts. I was worried. She did promise to call me and she hasn't.

Back to Henry, even though my grandpa and father were talking to him, I could feel his eyes on me and later my grandmother had a conversation with him, I was scared about that part cause I didn't know what they were talking about and at a point I saw both of them look at me.

"He's a nice one." Dad said to me. "I like your friends."

I felt happy that my dad liked him, a dream come true.

About twenty minutes later, Henry and I were in my room, laying on my bed and staring at my empty yet captivating ceiling.

"So, Spanish?"

"So, basketball?"

I chuckled and looked at him. "I asked first."

"Yeah, Spanish." He smiled.

"I didn't know."

"You didn't ask."

True.

"So, do you have like....a Spanish name?"

"Henry."

"Henry's an English name, dummy."

"Full name, Henrique." He smiled and looked at me. "I just go by Henry cause I don't want people calling me that."

I gasped. "Henrique is your full name? That's hot." I sat up. "Wait, I thought it should have been Enrique and without a 'h' in it?"

"Enrique is a Spanish name, true. Henrique is more of a Portuguese name but my dad thought it'd be better to call me that since Henrique also means Henry which is the English version and plus its got the whole Enrique thing in it and I'm still American and from Spain." He shrugged.

"Wow, they're smart."

He smiled faintly. "Yeah, they are."

"Henrique Ashcroft."

"Don't make a huge deal out of this."

"How can I not? I knew you weren't american though. I mean, I could hear that accent sometimes and it's hot when you use it without knowing."

He chuckled. "Fuck you."

"Right here? Okay."

He laughed.

"So, basketball?"

"I haven't played basketball in a long time but yeah I guess I'm good at it." I shrugged.

"Why not play for our school?"

"Cause...I don't want to?"

He shook his head. "You're crazy."

"I know." I smiled.

"Um, about.....Zach. How did you guys...I mean, you both left the class and it was suspicious to me and then you both returned with a bruised Zach who was nowhere to be found when I searched for him and called him."

I laid back on the bed. "Can we please not talk about that." I sighed and looked at my phone.

No missed call.

No text.

"I'll explain it all to you but let's just enjoy the night while we can and I don't mean in the perverted way."

He nodded with a smile. "Mmhmm. You've been checking your phone constantly, waiting for a certain someone to call?"

"Raven," I sighed. "She's supposed to call me or text but nothing."

"Maybe she's busy....not like we were downstairs." He smiled.

"Don't ever do what you did earlier, during dinner! You horny cunt!" I smacked his arm.

He laughed. "You liked it."

"It was wrong in many levels."

"You enjoyed it." He said and pulled me on top of him. "It was funny to see you act that way."

"Fuck you."

"Anytime." He smiled.

I smiled back at him and kissed him softly. "I think my family likes you."

"I'm glad they do. I know the strings to pull." He shrugged. "I wish I had a heads up."

"I swear she texted you not me."

"I know, she told me." He smiled. "She's hot."

I pouted. "Are you a gigolo?"

He laughed. "Seriously?"

"You called a woman in her sixties hot, I have to ask."

"You're insane." He snickered and was about to kiss me when I heard my mom call my name outside the door, I jumped off him and the door opened.

"Hey," mom smiled.

"Hey."

"Raven's here, she wants to see you."

My eyes widen. "Oh my God, she's here?" I quickly jumped out of the bed and ran downstairs as fast as I could. She was talking to my grandmother at the kitchen when I landed from the stairs. "Raven!" I called and she turned, she was putting on a black and white colored gown. "What the fuck? Why didn't you call me? What happened?" I asked as I approached her. "You scared me, did y-" slapped.

"Oh God," Grandma Athena exclaimed. "What do you think you're doing?" She snapped.

I looked at her in total confusion. Why did she slap me? I clutched my cheek and frowned. She had this total hatred in her eyes as she breathed hard while she stared at me, her eyes were red. She had been crying.

"Why'd you-"

"You are such an evil psychopath."

I did not understand that. "Raven, what are y-"

"The plan will work? He messes with you, he messes with all of us? Call me? Set a date with both families? Wasn't that all your plans and the stuffs you said to me?"

"Raven, I did say that b-"

"You promised!" She yelled. "You fucking promised to be there!"

The room was becoming crowded, "what's going on here?" Dad asked as he walked in.

"Yeah I sis but y-"

"I called you, Dylan. Continuously but you wouldn't pick up. Hell, it wouldn't even ring. Why would you do that to me?"

What was she going on about?.

"Why'd you have to let me go through this if you weren't gonna be there to help me? Why'd you have to lie? Did you know he threatened me again? Of course you don't cause you didn't show up! I sent you numerous text, about a thousand begging you to please hurry," a tear fell from her eye. "And you didn't reply any." She quickly wiped it away.

What was she saying? She didn't call or text me. "Raven! You didn't call me or text me! I waited for your fucking call."

"Can you not lie to my face, you fucking liar. You asked me to trust you and I did! I trusted you and this is what happens to me afterwards! You know that I can't tell my parents. Fuck you, Dylan. You're a fucking hypocrite. You're just like him, you don't know what you've done." She said as she shook her head at me. "You were right, you lie real quick."

"What's going on?" Mom asked from behind me.

Raven looked behind me and chuckled. "Oh, I see it's because of him that you didn't show up. You suddenly forgot about helping me cause you had your boy over."

"Raven, that's enough." Henry spoke and stood beside me.

"I didn't get the call." I said firmly.

"You are gonna get worse. That's my promise to you. You totally forgot and abandoned me to fight alone cause he came over to fill up your fucking ho-"

"Hey!" Grandma Athena pointed a finger at her. "Don't speak to my grandson that way and say those sort of things cause I won't have such in this house, if he's your friend then you'd know he'd never abandon you no matter what!"

"He's been waiting for your call and checking through his phone ever since." Henry said.

I had a witness.

Raven shook her head, i noticed her hands were shivering and she was trying to hide it. Looking at her I knew she had gone through shit tonight Andi was fucking worried. But she didn't call me, she didn't text me so what was she saying? I couldn't help but wonder what Johnathan had done tonight.

"I...hate....you." Her voice cracked. "I didn't want to do it but you made me do it, saying you got my back and then..." She pointed her purse at me as the tears fell from her eyes. "I. Hate. You." She said with so much hatred and walked away.

"R-Raven, w-wait." I followed her. "Wait, please." She was out the door and I ran after her. "I promise I didn't forget about it, Raven! Raven!" I tried reasoning with her. "I didn't get a...a call or a...text and-"

She turned. "You know if someone would tell me you'd do such a thing to me, I'd pour acid down their throat. Thanks for making me trust you that much." She said and got into her car and zoomed off. I just stared at nothing, my mind wondering everywhere. I didn't know what was happening, I didn't know what I did wrong. She didn't call me. What must have happened? My head hurts. I felt like I betrayed her. She looked miserable.

He won again.

"What was that all about?" Henry asked from behind me, I sighed and turned to him. I felt awful, I should have gone to her house. I was an awful person. I didn't even understand what was going on, I felt broken. I was hurting.

"I d-don't..." I sighed. "I don't know. She didn't call me or text me." I ran a hand through my hair, tiredly. "I swear, I didn't...I didn't get the t-text or call."

He nodded. "I know. I believe you. I was here remember,"

I sighed "S-Something's not right. It c-can't be."

He nodded. "I agree. I think we're missing something here."

I sighed and looked back into the darkness.

Something most certainly wasn't right...

Author's note.

Longest chapter! I think. 13k words. I wanted to group this into two chapters. I have no idea how I ended up writing this long. I guess I was too into the chapter, it was hard writing this last scene...well from the dinner scene. I had it all played out in my head but couldn't write it down.

Things are going bad....

I am in love with every Henry and Dylan scene, who else agrees?

And I can't help but love grandma Athena the more. 😂

Spot any errors....let me know about it.

Let me know your thoughts on this chapter-

These are some of my favorite comments from the previous chapter and the first one was featured in the chapter. 👑❤❤

🔒❤❤❤❤

I did this again, I'm sorry. 😹😹

Sadly, this didn't work out and got bad.💔
