Chapter 2.
PICTURE IS RAVEN.
Dylan's P.O V
So I finally found the goddamn class and walked in two minutes after the bell rang, it was a little noisy, just kids chattering and everyone was seated down, dang it. I walked over to the teacher and showed him my schedule. He looked at it, flashed me a small smile and nodded.
"Welcome to Eastwood high, Dylan. Take a seat."
I gave him a half smile that disappeared a second later and looked ahead. The noisy class was suddenly silent, and I knew it was because of me. I turned to them and they were all staring at me like I had superpowers and they all knew it.
Stop staring, you ugly uncircumcised dickheads.
I ignored them and walked to sit on of the empty seats.
"Okay, Let's begin" The teacher smiled.
"Doesn't he get to introduce himself?" A boy asked and I mentally cursed.
"Well," The teacher looked at me. "You wanna?"
"I don't think it is necessary," someone said and I looked behind me to see the boy from earlier.
Christopher, was it?
"Let us just continue." He said and looked at me.
"Thank you." I muttered and he just gave a small nod.
"Anytime." He whispered.
•••
Biology was finally over, after what felt like forever. Once the bell rang, I picked up my bag the same time the others were and began putting my books back in while Mr. Edward. ( The teacher that is, who I learned his name from one of the students was still talking and then he left. I looked to my left and noticed two girls staring and gossiping, whispering to each other.
Really?
"Don't you both have something to do then just stare? Seriously?" I scoffed at how pathetic they were being and stood up, walking out.
I was heading to my locker, ready to go for the next class of stares. Which they were doing 97% of the time in class. Even Mr. Edward had to tell them that their A's weren't on my face.
It wasn't my fault that I was hot. Yes, I knew I was. It's not me being narcissistic, It's just me saying I would fall in love with me if I wasn't me.
Wait, isn't that how narcissist died in the greek books?
Anyways, the first step to realising you are a bad bitch and a demigod is acknowledging that you are sexy and everyone is bellow you, that way when they say something snarky or try to hurt your feelings, you just laugh cause it is like watching one of these old comedy shows.
You see, one thing my evil, beautiful mother taught me is that when you know your place and your worth, no one can make you feel like you are not important. And she's right.
So yeah, I get the stares cause I am hot and I have white hair, but like, sometimes it can make you really uncomfortable. Like right now.
I-
"Hey," A cheerful feminine voice greeted, making me look to my right where it had come from, only to find someone walking beside me with a smile on her perfect face. I didn't know who she was but she definitely was a cheerleader, I knew that, thanks to her uniform. Fun fact, She had Red hair, it was gorgeous actually. She looked so beautiful, like something out of a vogue magazine and I mean it. Her red lips matched her hair and the way she walked, made me realize she was special.
"Hi?" I replied, more like a question as I walked.
"How are you? "
Okay, this is starting to get creepy. To me.
"Good? Sorry, but who exactly are you?" I asked confused as I got to my locker.
"I'm your new friend, newbie" she said and flipped her hair and then leaned on the next locker.
"My new what?"
"Friend, silly." She chuckled.
"No, thank you."
"You can't say no now."
"I can, and I'm trying to be nice."
"Oh. Well, I don't take no for an answer."
"Oops, sorry, but I'm not sure I put out a vacancy for that spot." I flashed her a smile. "Do I look like I am interested in making any friends? Oh my God, do I give out that vibe cause I don't want people to be mistaken."
"Well, every new kid wants friends and I'm offering my friendship."
Sure.
Go away, Regina George.
"Why are you even talking to me?" I cocked my head to the side. "I can't be the only new kid in school, there's gotta be some other kid you can—how do I say this nicely?" I sighed. "Bother." I flashed her a big smile.
"I like how you put the smile to also look nicer." She faked a smile. "Anyways, you may not be the only new kid but today you are and I find you interesting, I like you, Mister."
Sorry sweetie, I'm gay.
"You look cute and you have white sparkling hair and I have red gorgeous hair. It goes right?" She smiled.
I shook my head at her. "It's not like you are the only ginger here, are you?"
"Well, In this school? Yes, I am the only one, just like you're the only one with white hair. Wait, did you dye yours?" She asked with knitted brows.
"No, I was born with it" I answered with a frown as I unlocked my locker and started to put my bag in and took out a book.
"Well then, why can't we be friends." She shrugged, back to her evil smile. There was something about her. Her eyes had that colour of evil and her hair screamed fire. Evil
Are these red flags I see?
"Well then, I guess I am not the only kid with weird hair." I gave her a smile and closed my locker.
"Oh honey, No." She chuckled. "You're the only kid with weird hair."
My smile instantly disappeared and I began walking away.
"It's a good kind of weird." She added as she started walking beside me.
"So, you're a cheerleader?" I decided to change the topic by stating the obvious.
"Head cheerleader, actually." Ginger corrected with a smile. "There's a difference, I'm the captain. The bitchy leader."
"I can tell." I muttered.
"I put everything in check and get rid of mistakes." She said and I wanted to ask what she meant by that but decided against that, I didn't want her thinking we were friends.
"Anyways, news is spreading fast about the kid with white hair."
"I know I'm hot but like, why should the news fly, I am not BTS or something?"
I frowned and she pouted. "Let me rephrase, the hot kid with white hair. Your face is making half the girls cum in their pants, now we have a new hot boy in Eastwood." She grinned. "Soon this town will turn into Mystic Falls where all the hot boys gather."
"Well, I was expecting people to mind their businesses but apparently they cannot."
"Now, you and I will stick together." She said and I snorted.
"So, let me get this straight." Even though I'm gay. "You need me for popularity? " I arched my brow at her.
Mrs. Ginger laughed. "Need you for populari-? No, honey, no. I am already popular and every kid who goes here knows me." She said and flipped her hair backwards elegantly. "I just need you to...you know?"
"I do not know."
"Forget it. Just know I'm marking you, just to protect you, love?"
"From what? Is this a school for werewolves? Oh my God, am I gonna play the oujia board with some kids tonight and release Valek or something, Ginger?"
"First of all, no and no. Secondly, the name's Raven. Raven Frost." She said as she smiled at a fellow cheerleader.
Related to Killer Frost, maybe, okay now I need to watch the finale of flash?
"You're probably thinking killer frost right now, aren't you?" She asked as we walked making me wonder how she knew that.
"Well—kinda." I answered.
Raven chuckled softly.
Wait a sec...
"Hold on, you know who killer frost is?" I asked with knitted brows. She stopped walking and turned to me.
"Boy, I might be Ginger and be the Head Cheerleader but that doesn't stop me from reading comics and watching The Flash, it's not just a boy thing you know." She shrugged, smirking.
My eyes widen.
"You watch The Flash"
"Mmhmm." Raven nodded smiling.
"Hmm. I give it a couple more seasons and it would go to shit."
Raven snorted. "Hasn't it already?"
I shrugged. "I don't know, I stopped watching."
She laughed.
"I didn't take you for someone who would like shows like that?"
"Why? Cause I look expensive and I'm a cheerleader?"
"Glad I didn't have to explain. Thanks for giving the answers."
Raven rolled her eyes. "That's really stereotypical of you actually."
"I didn't mean it like girls don't like it and i did not mean to stereotype, it's just....in my old town, my best friend was not interested in things like this, she loved scream queens and all other stuffs but nothing with superpowers."
"She does have taste."
"And I mean to be honest, scream queens is superior," I shrugged. "So, I apologise. I didn't mean to stereotype even though you give off very much horror movies vibe."
"I like horror movies."
"See. Now that I can see clearly as you have that vibe."
"What vibe?" She asked with a small frown
"Annabelle."
"Touché."
I shrugged.
"So, that's a bonus then? Friends?" Raven asked , looking at me while we walked.
"Again, someone who don't keep friends."
"I can be a first." She shrugged.
This girl was persistent.
"What do you say?"
"I don't know if I'll like you. I feel like we're gonna clash. I mean, if not now, later, and I wanna avoid that."
Raven groaned. "We won't. So? What'd you say?"
"As long as you don't have an evil motive at the end of the day? We are good."
"Why would you think I have one?"
"Because you give off this vibe that you are a soul eater."
Raven smirked. "Thank you, that is really nice of you."
"Not a compliment."
"I liked it." She shrugged. "So friends?"
"No. I still don't know you, redhead. Just because you like the flash don't mean I get to call you friend."
"Okay. Let's do acquaintances then."
"You are so persistent, aren't you?"
Raven shrugged. "Trust me. You'll need me in this school."
I smirked. "Actually," I sighed. "I think it's gonna be the other way around, and that's why you need me."
Her brows cocked.
"So, I'll let you have your little hype for today. Acquaintances then." I smiled at her.
"You're a smart one."
"And I know you're an evil one."
She smirked, flipping her hair backwards gently and elegantly. "You didn't tell me your name." She said, as we continued walking.
"Dylan. Dylan Dexwell" I replied, smiling.
"Hmm. Okay then, new friend, Dylan. What class do you have now?"
"Uh..." I looked at my schedule "Math?" It came out more like a question than an answer. "Who the actual fuck puts math after biology?" I winced.
She groaned and rolled her eyes . "EXACTLY WHAT I SAID. That means we both are gonna get tortured then, I have Math too and it was the same thing I said when I found out Math came after Biology."
"It really is insane." I sighed
"Yeah. It is. Come on, let's go in together and be bored for the rest of the period." she said making me laugh. "You will sit right next to me."
"Do I want to do that?"
"I like you, you speak your mind. Follow me." She said and walked ahead. "Or you'll end up in the cafeteria." She shouted as she walked and with a groan, I followed.
***
I was standing next to Raven, at the entrance of the school's cafeteria. I almost forgot how the cafeteria was. A lot of students. The noise.
This. Is. Hell.
In another form. I followed Raven to the lines of food. There were about ten different lines, ours back home was eight. I choose pizza and while Raven took some snicker bars and other kind of chocolates. A lot of people were looking and I was starting to feel uneasy. I hate this.
And yes, Eastwood High wasn't just some poor public school. Nope. It was the school every rich person wanted their kid to go to, and every poor person wanted their kid to attend so they could be friends with the rich kids. At least, thats what I'm getting.
You won't believe how many expensive cars I have seen outside this school! I'm certain these bike kids definitely get bullied here.
Was I rich like them? No.
Was I poor? No.
I was a middle class bitch.
Now back to being stared it.
"Relax." Raven said, and I snapped out of my thoughts. "If you care so much about what they're saying right now then you're a moron, just follow me." She smiled and of course I did.
"Is this school owned by Biden?" I asked as we walked.
"No. But people with his money send their kids here."
"Explains it."
"How so?"
"Your school has ten lines for the cafeteria."
"Didn't your old one?"
"Not ten."
Raven walked to a table, where six students sat and talked. She smiled and coughed to acknowledge her presence. They all looked at her and she just smiled at them and arched her brows. They all just stood up, grabbed their stuffs and all left.
"Oh look Dylan, I found us an empty table." She said as she sat. I tried to understand what just happened and sat next to her.
Wow. Is she that much of a bitch?
"Yeah, an empty one. They all just left. What are you? Mean girl number two?"
She just laughed and shook her head. "Oh God no, It's Mean Girl number one." She corrected.
I laughed and shook my head. "Damn, so you're like....the Regina George of Eastwood high?"
"I've heard that one a million times."
"So what's the deal? They expel you in your old school?" She asked with a smile as she opened a chocolate bar.
I arched my left brow at her, it somewhat said 'really? That's your best guess?
"Nope, I moved away from my old home in Seattle."
"And San Diego was your choice?" She arched her brow. "Why not Los Angeles or something?" She frowned
"If it were in my power to choose, trust me I wouldn't even be here. Sometimes I forgot San Diego existed, now, I live in it." I said and rolled my eyes.
"I guess I understand your point," she nodded and just then there was some loud chattering and laugh. Almost everyone looked that way and I was one of them. It was those football slash baseball team guys and he was one of them. The guy who I bumped into earlier. Yes. The Hebrew god one. He was just smiling while they talked. He had the cutest smile in the world. He was like their leader. The Alpha of the Wolf pack.
You understand what I mean.
"Hey there, Red haired Raven." One of the boys said as they headed towards our table. He was dark haired too and muscular, he was kinda hot. And just then, my eyes got locked into that Hebrew's god eyes.
He was smiling and his eyes still on mine, I then looked away .
Why the fuck am I shy?
"Hello there, two and a half inches." She gave him an innocent smile.
Some of the boys begin to look away as they stiffened their laugh.
I had stuffed my mouth with food to stop myself from laughing, it was my first day and I wanted to be drama free.
"Fuck you, Bitch." He shook his head as they began to walk past us
"No thank you Eric. Your dick isn't big enough." She said and ate her chocolate bar, flashing him a smile. I had chocked instantly and began laughing right after she responded Everyone around us laughed and even his friends.
"Oh my God! Wow, you're evil" I said while laughing. "I love you."
She shrugged and took another bite. "I'm just doing what I know how to do best"
And then there was a loud crowd laugh.
I looked over at that direction, it was their table. They were probably still mocking Eric, the guy from before was laughing and I just couldn't stop myself from looking at that sexy hunk over there. He didn't laugh like they did, just gave a half smile.
He looked like he had a secret, he looked like he had a big dick too. I wonder how enormous he is down there? Is he gay? Oh lord, please let him be gay.
He really is so hot.
Do you ever just look at someone and instantly know they are hiding something? A secret? Maybe the secret was that he was gay.
Mental gasp.
The boys in this school were hot but this one? He was whom the gods had chosen for me. I mean, how many times do you bump into a sexy guy? Huh? Didn't wattpad call that "soulmate".
But if there was also something he looked and smelled like, it was money. He looked rich. He looked like he could buy me if he wanted. God, his hair even looked rich. You could tell some of those boys weren't on his level with how he carried himself and dressed. A pretty boy indeed.
"Hey, Dylan." Raven snapped her fingers in my face and I returned back to earth. I blinked and looked back at her, forcing a smile.
"Yeah, sorry. What were you saying?"
She arched her brow at me and then looked over at the boys. "Don't make it obvious."
I looked up at her. "Hmm? W...what? M-Make what obvious?" I stuttered.
"Mmhmm, so you wanna say, you don't know?"
"I don't know what you're talking about" I denied and opened the apple juice.
She looked over at the boys and smiled. "Henry Ashcroft! He's the hottest in the group"
"You mean the one with the dark hair right?"
"There are a lot of them with dark hair. Well three, so which one?"
"Green eyes. Mysterious and doesn't laugh." I stated and then my eyes widen.
Raven cocked her left brow at me slowly and smirked.
Shit.
"I wasn't..."
"He's the Quarterback of the football team." She cut me off as if I wasn't about to say anything.
Football. Got it.
"He's a perfect god. Girls would die for him and so would boys, straight or not. So it's okay that you're staring, boys do. I mean, It's hard not to look at." she smiled.
Really hard.
I looked at him again.
"Anywaysssss," She dragged my attention back to her. "He's also a jerk. A jerk-ish Jock. He doesn't give any fucks, he doesn't even reply anyone. He's on his own, barely says five words to people. More reason to love him. He's mysterious" she grinned.
"I could tell." I chuckled.
"Mmhmm."
"You're crushing on him?" I asked and arched my brow at her. It would make sense. Wasn't she supposed to be dating him?
"Me?" She snorted. "Oh God no, he's hot. Yes. But nope, not my type. You know how people think the cheerleader should date the captain or quarterback of the football team? I think it's crap. I don't buy that shit and so no. I don't have the hots for him." she answered and shrugged.
Sometimes I feel like she read minds.
"Oh! That makes sense." Thank God. I gave a sigh of relief. I can't have my new friend sharing my crush with me.
She looked at me, confused. "What was that?"
"What was what?" I frowned at her, confused.
"You just sighed, a very comfortable. Lucky one. That screamed 'thank God. She's not crushing on him." she knitted her brows suspiciously.
Damn you, Rave.
"No, I did not. Lying on a Monday is just not it." I denied and took a bite from the pizza.
"Yes you did, you stupid sexy white boy." Raven said and grinned. "Oh, you definitely have a crush on him, and that only means one thing," she placed her elbow on the table and rested her face on her palm. "You are gay."
I just stared at her. Now, I was only in the closet because of my mom, she was the only reason I wasn't out cause I was worried. Because if it wasn't for her, I would have been wearing a rainbow flag to school.
I still didn't trust Raven so much, what if she blackmailed me with this?
"Pfft, don't say rubbish."
"You are gay."
"I am very gay. What about it?"
So much for not telling her.
Raven grinned. "Nothing."
"Tell anyone and I will pluck out your left eye with a plier."
Raven blinked. "Kinky. I promise I won't tell anyone." She said and I sighed.
"He just made me lower my defences." I said as I looked at Henry.
"And you're now crushing on that mysterious, scary but sexy Henry," she squealed. "Aw. It's so fucking cute"
"Raven, can we please drop this."
"What? Am I lying?" She asked still smiling
"About what exactly?"
"So you are not crushing on Henry then?" she arched her brows, her voice had come out a little loud.
"Jesus, Raven, do you need a megaphone to tell the whole school?"
"Sorry. Sorry. I should whisper."
"That sounds like a very nice idea."
"So, what is it you like about Henry?"
"Please don't ask me that and tell me about your school."
"Henry is the football captain so that also works." Raven shrugged.
"I am one second away from killing you." I said with a blank face and she laughed.
"Sorry. Sorry." She said and I looked down at my tray.
Fuck.
I looked up at her.
"One thing, you look like a fucking tomato right now, your face is red as fuck."
Oh my God.
"Shut up."
Raven laughed and took another bite from her chocolate bar. "So, what was your old school like?"
***
I went straight home after school, Raven insisted on dropping me home but I refused. Not today. Not ever. So I took the bus home.
I went up to my room and took off my shoes , throwing my backpack on my bed and picking up my laptop from the table and taking it to the bed, I laid down and video-called Isabelle on Skype. She didn't take long before she answered.
"Hey you." She smiled and ran a hand through her rough blonde hair, she was putting on a red bra when she accepted the call
"Jesus, Belle put on some clothes" I sighed.
"Why? I'm home, aren't I? And besides it's not like you haven't seen me naked before." She smirked and laid down on her bed after putting on her bra.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.
"So what do you think? You like my new bra?"
"Don't you have this exact kind?"
"Nope. The other one isn't as bright as this."
"Hmmph."
"So, how are you? And how's your new school?" Isabelle asked, sounding excited.
Isabelle was extremely beautiful, she was stunning and sassy and slept with boys like she changed her bras. She was an iconic bitch at my old school and no one could come for her because it was like signing your right to live to the devil. Isabelle and I were so close and the story of how we became best friends is for another day.
"Well, I'm still alive. And my new school was weirdly cool. Wait, except for the creepy stares. They just kept staring like they saw a ghost." I complained.
"Honey, you have white hair and you are freaking gorgeous. Of course they'd stare, love. Have you seen yourself?"
"Well, you didn't lie but it was uncomfortable."
"Made any new friends yet?"
"Well, I met this girl. She's pretty amazing, super crazy. Raven is her name. She's ginger as well," I chuckled. "She reminded me of you except, I think she's more of a bitch than you ar- nope. No one could ever be as bad as you."
"Uh oh. You better don't replace me"
"I'll try not do" I laughed. "How's chuck?"
"Don't know, we broke up"
"What? Why?"
"Okay so I was making out with this guy and we got into a class , it was during lunch and then we heard a little squeak and so there he was. Chuck. Making out with that stupid bimbo. Rachel."
"You're kidding. Rachel Smith?" My eyes popped out. The biggest slut of them all.
"Yes, that stupid slutty slut. He cheated so I broke up with him"
"Um, Belle. You do know you cheated too right?" I pointed out. I mean he was doing what she was doing.
"Sweetie, cheating is when you have sex with another person when you're in a relationship. I didn't sleep with him. He slept with Rachel. Twice."
"Okay, ouch. That's bad. Did you slap her at least?"
"Me? God no. Why would I?" She then smirked. "I sent her sex tape to the whole school."
"Oh My God! Belle!" My eyes popped out.
"Yeah, It was the least I could do." She shrugged.
"That is so not cool, you she-devil!."
"I'm sorry? That bitch sent a photo of me with my breasts out which I had sent to Chuck to the entire school. Thank God, I have beautiful boobs and words don't hurt me. I went to school and in the cafeteria, showed everyone my boobs so they could have something to talk about now and not just from a photo. So, If she can be such a horrible person and do that to me, why can't I send her sex tape to her family?"
"Wait, you said the entire school."
"I may be evil, Dumbledore, but I am not a demon. That's you, remember?" She said and pushed her hair backwards. "I was joking, I sent it to her parents. I was at least nice about it, I would never bring another woman down except if she comes for me first."
"You are a good girl."
"God, I really wanted to send it to everyone but then she might kill herself and I don't want no blood on my hands and be tagged a murderer." She threw her hands up.
I chuckled. "You okay?"
"Duh. Yeah. Josh just went home," she grinned."You could have called earlier"
"I just got home. Wait, who's josh?" I asked, a little confused.
"The guy I made out with before I caught chuck." She smiled.
"Oh, poor straight guys of our school." I sighed, shaking my head. I did pity them. "....well your school."
"Shut up, so any new guy at school that you like? I mean is there some hot hunk you got your your eyes on?" She had the biggest grin. So interested.
"Ye....ah kinda, his name's Henry. Henry Ashcroft."
That's like the hottest last name in the World.
Ashcroft.
What the hell is an Ashcroft?
I grimaced.
"Oooohhhhhhh, Tell me more about Henry." Isabelle seemed interested.
"Well, he is the quarterback of the football team, and I tell you belle. He's a real Hebrew god." I confessed and shook my head slowly.
"Oh my! That hot?"
"I bumped into him earlier at school, he's super hot and when he smiled at me? Girl, I saw Zeus or something, maybe heaven as well?"
"Oh, so y'all gonna fuck? You haven't had anything in your bussy for years now."
"Isabelle, can we not?"
"Okay. Sorry. Sorry. So, what did you two talk about? Did you guys speak?"
"Nope. Didn't talk to him yet."
"Jesus, Dylan. Talk to him" she groaned.
"Oh my! Really?" I dramatically gasped. "Gee! What a brilliant, Idea!"
"Yes, really!"
"That was a sarcasm, you dumb blonde."
"Who cares? Talk to him and make him yours before you graduate."
She says that like it's easy. Cause it's easy for her of course.
"I don't know, Belle."
"Oh, stop being a baby dick. Dylan"
My jaw dropped.
"Shut up, you dick magnet."
"How dare you?"
"Come to Eastwood let's fight, bitch."
"Take that back."
"Oh come on belle, you know it's true."
"You son of a bitch! "
I laughed again and so did she, just then my stomach growled.
"Crap, Belle. I gotta go." I sighed.
"Aww.. Why?"
"I'm hungry, I'll be back"
"Bitch, why can't you just take me to the kitchen with you? The fuck? Let's make a sandwich together, something easy, so you don't end up burning your new house down."
"Is that supposed to hurt me?"
"Did it work?"
"Nope, you are below my standards and so your words can't hurt me." I said and Belle coughed.
"Oh, boy! We need to meet up somewhere and throw hands, you stupid bitch!!!!"
I snickered.
"Girl, stop making so much noise, you are gonna summon an angry demon."
"Pfft." She snorted. "The demon and I will probably fuck."
"Okay, time out."
