Chapter 49

Dylan

"Leave me alone, Jaxton." I said as I walked into the house, Jaxton had been apologizing since we started walking home. He was following me from behind and even while apologizing, he was still smiling.

"Oh come on, Dylan. I said I'm sorry already." He whined as he closed the door behind him.

"And yet, you're smiling which is worse."

"It was funny, he called you a housewife and you losing your shit was making it funnier." He said while chuckling.

I scowled at him and he quickly stopped.

"Oh come on now, you can't get mad at us for laughing. This is what friends do, they laugh at silly things. You shouldn't be angry at all." Jax said, I just ignored him and walked to sit next to mom who was on the couch watching TV.

"Who's angry at who?" Mom asked, looking at us.

"It's nothing ma."

"Dylan's mad at us, his friends cause we were laughing at something that he didn't find funny." Jaxton reported.

"Cause it wasn't." I grumbled.

"You shouldn't get mad at them for nothing or you'll end up friendless and you know how nervous you were on your first day and how we both thought you weren't gonna have any friends."

I frowned. "You were confident that I'll make some friends." I stated, clearing remembering.

"Yeah, well a mother's job is to be positive even when she doesn't believe what she's saying." She shrugged.

My jaw dropped. "Oh, so you thought I wouldn't make any friends?"

"Like you did? No. I didn't." She shook her head.

"You're so mean," I scowled at her.

"Well, they say the truth hurts." She flashed me a smile and went back to watching TV.

I looked at the TV and I was instantly interested. "Ooooh, Is this the new season?"

"Nah, I think the new season starts on Sunday."

I groaned. "I can't wait."

"What show is that?" Jax asked, coming to see what was showing on TV.

"Wags." Mom and I chorused.

"I've heard about this, I'd stick with keeping up with the-"

"Don't even finish that." I cut him off. I hated that show so much, it looked scripted. I mean come on, as much as most of the episodes had drama it looked like they were acting being real, if you understand.

"Why? The show's awesome."

"Sure it is," mom sarcastically replied.

Jax shook his head. "Well, I have to go change so...see ya." He said and began walking towards the stairs.

"I'm not done with you, ugly." I said to his hearing and stood up.

"Leave him alone!" Mom sighed.

Jax groaned and turned. "We live in the same house, you can't be mad at me!"

"I lived with my dad for eight years and barely spoke to him," I said as I approached him. "Yours wouldn't be an issue."

He scowled at me. "You're so mean."

"And yet, a lot of people love me." I grinned.

He rolled his eyes."I'll go change now, I have to meet up with Dominic to see if he's okay and also meet up with the kids I have to tutor later." He said and went up the stairs.

"Ight." I nodded and walked to the fridge, the only reason I'm letting him go for now is because I'm his cupid and I want him and Dominic to be together real quick. "Mom, where's dad?"

"He left for work," she replied and stood up, walking to towards me. "He didn't want to leave me alone but I had to tell him to go or I'd really have a miscarriage feeling guilty."

"It doesn't work that way." I frowned at her.

"He doesn't know that." She smirked.

I looked at her and noticed her stomach was already pushing forward and she looked like she had added a little, just a little.

"Well look at you, slowly getting fat." I said and took out a bottle of water, taking a sip from it.

She gasped and looked at her stomach and back at me. "At least I can add and lose weight. You eat a lot and yet you still look like a skeleton in a biology lap."

I gave her a cold stare. "That was mean."

"So is calling people fat." She retorted.

I scowled at her and went up to my room, I threw my bag on my bed and took off my shoes. My feet were fucking hurting, ugh.

"Okay, I'm off." Jaxton said from outside my room, I turned to face him and saw him in a totally different outfit.

"Alright, say hi to Dominic for me." I smiled at him.

"Sure, later." He said, smiling back before leaving.

I picked up my phone and texted Dominic.

He just left.

It was quickly delivered and read, he was typing now.

Yeah, I'm on my way there.

I smiled.

Good luck, stick to the plan.

He was typing now.

Aye Aye.

I threw my phone on the bed and laid on the other side to avoid stories that touch. I let out a sigh as I just stared at my ceiling.

"Housewife." I scoffed. "He's the housewife," I frowned. "Who am I kidding? He can't be a housewife." I sighed. "Fuck you, Henry."

Why was I letting something as small as this get to me? What the fuck is wrong with me?

Housewife! Of course its gonna get to me.

I was up in my room for a while, watching the big bang theory on my laptop. It was one of those series that I could never get tired of, Sheldon was so fucking annoying but he was the best thing and I did love penny too and practically everyone else. I had watched two episodes now and decided to go get something to eat and come back upstairs cause I was really hungry. I paused it and walked down while humming the theme song slowly.

"Mom," I called out once I landed from the stairs.

"Yeah?" She replied from the kitchen, where she always is.

"I'm hungry." I said as I approached the kitchen.

"I totally forgot to make something earlier, it'd be ready in twenty minutes sweetie. Why don't you order pizza or something?"

I shook my head and sat on a stool. "I'd rather wait, I don't want to fill my tummy with pizza and not eat enough of what you're cooking."

She chuckled, i smiled at her and at that moment a knock came at the door.

I let out a frustrated groan. "Go away!"

"Go check who's at the door."

I sighed and stood up, I walked to the door and opened it with a straight face.

"It just had to be you." I said blankly, just seeing him ruined my mood the more.

"Hello to you too." He smiled.

I left him at the door and walked away, I heard the door close gently which means he was in.

"Who is it?"

"Behold, the annoying being of Eastwood." I said and pointed at Henry and who was behind me.

"Hello, Mrs. Bonnie." He spoke from behind me. I sat back on one of the kitchen stools, mom smiled once she saw him.

"Henry, hey. How are you?"

"I'm okay." He replied, smiling. I hated his smile, who was I kidding.

"That's good, uh...Dylan,"

"Hmm?" I answered, giving her a bored look.

"Well get him something to drink, the young man must be thirsty."

"Wh-"

Henry coughed. "Yes ma'am, I'm very thirsty." He said with a smile.

Is he fucking serious?

"See, now stand up and get this gentleman a drink." She said, smiling at him but I could tell that her tone also said 'don't even try to argue with me'.

I glared at him hard. "Of course." I said and stood up, walking to the fridge.

"Did you even ask him what he'd like to drink?" Mom asked and I took a second to calm down, taking deep breathes before looking back at Henry with a fixed totally fake smile.

"What would you like to drink in the name of Zeus? An Elixir of life or death?"

Henry frowned, looking at me like i had gone mad.

"Dylan!" Mom called, warning me.

"Water or juice?"

He smirked. "Water, water's fine, thank you."

I scowled at mom. "I was just gonna give him that."

Mom rolled her eyes at me and looked at Henry with a smile. "So Henry, I hope Dylan hasn't been giving you more trouble?"

Henry hissed. "Not so much,"

"Oh, that's good then." She chuckled.

I rolled my eyes and brought the water for Henry. "Here," I said, handing it to him with a forced smile.

"Thanks." He said with a coy smile and took it, he drank it all in one gulp and smiled.

"Well, he's done. We'll go do what we were supposed to do in the first place." I said and began walking upstairs.

"Thanks for the water, ma'am."

What? I gave you that water!

"You're welcome." Mom replied.

I was already up in my room, waiting for Mr. Ashcroft to come in so we can finally study.

"You look like you're on your period, what's wrong with you?" Henry asked from the door, a smirk on his face.

"What was that all about? You could have just said you weren't thirsty."

"But then that wouldn't be any fun, would it?"

I scowled. "Whatever."

"Why are you being...all that." He said, making a big circle with his hands with me in the middle.

"You know what you did! How dare you call me a housewife?"

His brows went up, he said nothing an soon began to laugh.
"That shit got to you? So that's why, you've been moody." He said and laughed again.

"Fuck you, Henry."

"No, thank you." He chuckled.

"My friends then had to laugh at me when I thought they'd join me in hating you!"

He snickered and took a step towards me. "So they did laugh,"

"Shut up."

"When I called you a housewife the first time, you acted like it didn't bother you." He chuckled.

"Let's just.... study." I said and walked over to my bed. I shouldn't have let him know that it got to me, you're such a stupid being, Dylan!

"Okay, Okay." I could tell he was smiling and I wasn't gonna look at him.

We studied for a while, I barely said any words to him and every time he spoke I could tell he was smirking, I didn't want to look at him.

We were doing our works in silence for a while before someone knocked on my door. We both looked up from our laptops and at my mother who was standing at the door.

"Hey mom,"

"Uh, I'm done cooking. In case you boys are hungry." She smiled.

"Thanks mom," I replied and looked back at my laptop. "We'll be done soon."

"Actually," Henry sat up. "I'm starving."

I looked up from my laptop and at him with a frown. "We have to finish th-"

"Well, lets go down then." Mom said with a grin and did a 'come on' sign with her hand which Henry responded to.

He put on his shoes and with a smile walked over to mom, mom patted his back and they both walked out.

My mouth was still hanged open, did this just happen? "What the fuck?" I muttered, sighing before i stood up and marched down to the kitchen where they were. Mom was serving him already while he was seated.

"I made some baked chicken meatloaf," Mom said with a big smile while she served him. Henry had a smile fixed on his face, i said nothing and went to sit on one of the chairs at the dinning. "Now, take a bite and tell me what you think." She said and sat beside him, looking at him and waiting. She knew she was a good cook, an amazing one but im sure she just wanted to hear this from the nine hundredth person.

Henry took a deep breath as if about to start a challenge, i watched him as I served myself, from the way he picked up the fork and knife and to the way he directed the food into his mouth and chewed. I found myself waiting for his reply the same way mom was, okay maybe not the same since mom's eyes were popped out and she really did look like she cared about what he thought.

Henry's eyes widen a bit as he chewed and I knew he loved it, a smile fought its way to my face but i quickly pushed it away. He looked at mom and swallowed his food, still looking shocked and excited at once, his expression was priceless and I liked it.

"Oh wow. This is really tasty, Mrs. Dexwell. This is one of the best things I've eaten." He said with a smile.

Mom giggled while I rolled my eyes and began to eat.

"This. This is so amazing, just like the steak." He said as he ate. "Heavenly."

The way he was rushing mom's food like he hadn't eaten in a week was kinda funny and I had even stopped eating just to watch him. I tried holding back the laughter threatening to come outta my mouth but i couldn't and i burst out laughing the same time mom did, he was cute and I mean it but there was no way I was saying that out loud.

He stopped eating and looked at both of us with a confused frown. "What?" He asked with food in his mouth, we laughed again. He swallowed and looked at us again. "Do I have something on my face?"

"Yes," I nodded. "It's called ugliness." I said with a smirk, making him glare at me.

"Stop being mean," mom shunned me. "He's just being typical Dylan," she sighed and looked back at him. "Nothing's wrong with your face, you should just...slow down."

I had finished eating before Henry did, I noticed something while Henry and my mom spoke. He wasn't really comfortable, he kept replying questions with one or two words. Typical Henry. Which meant, he was only doing this to get to me and it was working, he couldn't play the game for that long anymore since the Henry I know doesn't really like people, maybe mom's excluded? No idea.

I had let him with her at the dinning and went to the living room to watch whatever was on TV and Hollywood Medium With Tyler Perry. I loved the show and how his powers actually did work, this time he was at Lil Kim's house and I wondered how he always made them cry.

My gaydar signal was always strong whenever he came on TV and I don't know if he's gay or not but my gaydar is never wrong.

I had been watching this show for a while, when a sexy godly voice interrupted.

"I'm leaving,"

"Kay." I replied, not taking my eyes off the TV.

"Kay," I heard him mutter and then fading footsteps.

"Shit, Dominic." I dashed up from the couch, I was supposed to check up on him and know how his meet up with Jaxton was. I ran straight up, shouting 'nothing' in reply to mom when she asked what was wrong.

When I got up to my room, Henry was zipping his backpack, he looked up and his eyes met mine. I stopped at the door for a second, maybe more and then looked away going for my phone which laid on the bed.

Ignoring Henry was hard since he was everywhere and since he had a face like that and I didn't know why I was being so workup by the fact that he called me a housewife. People have called me worse, hell he has, but why is it that I'm mad that this came from him? Maybe cause I had to go through another humiliation cause of him. Ugggh. Stupid brain.

I was heading out again and was close to the door when he grabbed my arm, making me gasp in fear. He shut the door and pushed me against it, making me hit my back at it.

"Are you really gonna ignore me?" He asked, still holding onto my hand. He was close, I could really see the color of his eyes and I didn't want him so close.

"Henry, let me go now or I'll scream."

"Sure," he sarcastically replied with a snort. "Now, is it because I called you a housewife?"

I didn't reply.

"So that it, hmm?"

"Henry, I'll bite you."

He chuckled. "I'd like that." He smirked.

I looked away from him.

"If the housewife thing did make you that mad, then I'm sorry."

I turned my head and looked back at him so fast, I could have died. Did he just apologize? Henry Ashcroft? He apologized? Did I hear well?

"W-What?"

"I'm not repeating it" He said firmly. "I won't call you a housewife again, if you change my name on your phone."

"What? Your name is Henry on my phone." I frowned.

He arched his brow slowly and just gave a blank expression, which meant he knew.

"Okay fine," I groaned. "It's dickwad." I rolled my eyes. "That's cause you act like one."

"So, housewife?"

"Fine! I'll change it. Don't ever call me that."

He chuckled. "Promise."

He pulled down my the top of my turtle neck, showing my neck which startled me.

"H-"

"Oh wow," he exclaimed. "Well, the Hickeys are fading," he smirked. "I should remake them."

I frowned. "How did you know about the hickeys?"

He chuckled. "Simple, I made them so I should know. And you've been putting on clothes that go up to your neck and cover them, it's my mark and so I know." He shrugged.

Shit.

He just had to be smart

"N-" Before I could respond, his lips were already on my neck, sucking. The words choked back down like they always did and a little moan escaped my mouth when he bit that same spot.

"Do you want me to stop?" He asked in a teasing tone as he trailed kisses down my neck and worked his magic. What was it about this guy?

Everything.

He stopped and looked at me with his eyes full of lust, same as mine was.
"I could kiss you," he said as he moved closer. I looked at his red lips, the one I couldn't get enough of, my stupid drug. I wanted it. I wanted him to kiss me. "I should kiss you," his lips were so close to mine, I could feel his breath and I was already getting turned on, his voice was so fucking sexy and he was teasing me right now.

Kiss me.

"I want to kiss you," he breathed and brought his lips extremely close to mine, he was finally gonna kiss me.

Just stop talking!

No don't!

"But, I won't." He said and moved away, leaving me at the door.

My brows knitted. "W-What?"

"You said we wouldn't kiss again, remember?" He smirked. "See ya later," he said and threw his bag over his shoulder. "Excuse me." He said as he held the doorknob.

I slowly moved away, my face was probably red from embarrassment, I could feel it get hot. Shit.

He walked out with a smile on his face, he wanted to laugh.

"Did he just-" my mouth hanged open.

Dylan, you're so screwed. You let him do that to you! You couldn't control your stupid hormones.

I poked my head out of my room and shouted. "I HATE YOU!" Which he replied with a laugh.

"Damn you," I was so embarrassed with myself. You need to learn to control your stupid hormones, Dylan. Or he'll keep doing this to you and you'll keep walking around with a boner. I slammed my door shut and jumped on my bed, laying on it. I stuck my face in between my pillow and screamed in it.

Worst day, ever.

•••

I didn't leave my room for hours, I had replied to all Dominic's texts, I had eight texts from him. He was panicking in and begging me to reply quickly in most of them and then he told me he was handling it well in the and the one I found funny was when he talked about being friend zoned.

I had to calm him down and tell him to just be himself but also keep up with the lie cause if he keeps acting like a teenage girl out with a celebrity, this mission will fail. Thirty minutes later he called me Jaxton just left, we spoke for a while and according to him it went okay.

It's past eight and I have been on my bed ever since, thinking of what happened earlier.

How could I be so stupid? It's not his fault. It's mine. I said no kisses and I wanted him to kiss me. I hate me.

"Hey,"

"Go away," I grumbled.

"Someone's in a good mood," Jaxton said and walked in. I sat up once I felt the bed sink in a little which meet he was sitting down. "You look like you masturbasted nine times in an hour, what happened?"

I scowled at him. "Thanks for the compliment."

"What happened?"

"Nothing, just tired. How's Dominic?"

He smiled. "He's okay, we spoke for a long time. I apologized to him and he did the same, we're good friends."

There's that word

"I even lost track of the time and forgot about the guys I was supposed to tutor for a while." He sighed. "He's face isn't as bad as mine at least."

oh you poor thing, how can't you see that you care about him so much? Uggh, so much work to be done.

"Did you guys...do anything special?"

He frowned. "Special?"

"I mean...what did you guys do?" I rephrased.

"We met at a coffee shop and then he drove us to the park, it was a fun day." He beamed.

I bet it was.

I smirked. "Of course it was, you look like you had so much fun."

"I actually did."

"I'm glad you have someone like Dominic in your life."

He nodded. "Me too."

I smiled at him.

"So, Henry?"

"Get out,"

"But-"

"Five seconds Jaxton!"

"Fine," he sighed and stood up. "You'll tell me anyway." He said with a knowing smile. "Your mom wants us down for dinner." He said as he approached my door. "She said she doesn't want to have to butcher you, you have two minutes left."

I stood up quickly. "What?"

"What?" He shrugged. "She gave you five minutes, we talked for three."

"I hate you." I said and dashed out, running past him and down the stairs. "Someone said dinner." I said as I walked into the kitchen where mom was, panting a little.

She quivered her brows. "No, dishes."

"I'm sorry what?"

"I told Jaxton to call you to come do the dishes." She said.

My jaw dropped, I slowly turned to see a smiling Jaxton on the stairs.

"Why me?" I turned back to mom. "I did the dishes yesterday!"

"That was me." Jaxton said to our hearing.

"Then it was two days ago then."

"That was also me," Jax announced.

I took a deep breath. "Then it must have been THREE DAYS AGO!"

"That was me." Mom said and folded her arms.

I groaned real loud. "Come on,"

"Go do the dishes now." Mom ordered.

I looked back at Jaxton who was laughing silently.

"I hate you!"

"You've been saying that a lot today." Mom said as she typed on her phone.

I scowled at her and walked straight to the sink.

I hate everybody.

Author's Note.

Hi hi, so I know it's been a while since I updated and that's cause I've been really really busy, and my phone is really bad and annoying and I'm trying to get a new one which is kinda hard.

I'll post the next chapter in two days.
