Chapter 83
Dylan's P.O.V
"TODAY IS BEACH DAY!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I threw my hands in the air while walking down the stairs with a small duffel bag. I was putting on a light blue shorts that were actually short, and a black shirt that had 'Cry Baby' written on it boldly.
I couldn't hold back my excitement, I'm obsessed with the beach. When I was a kid, I used to wish I was a merman so that I could kill Ursula and overthrown her so then it'd be my job to destroy Atlantis and take the Trident from Ariel's dad. As I grew up, I began to understand why I loved the sea more. It wasn't about the water alone, it was everything.
I am actually a great swimmer, I mean my dad wasn't always around to teach me how to swim but he taught me the basics and then my uncle Dave taught me everything I needed to know, so guess who was doing back flips before jumping into the pool at age six. That's right, this guy. And in case you still don't know who 'this guy' is, its me.
Uncle Dave is my favorite uncle, he also has white hair like me and white brows which just makes him super cool and he is older than my mom with a few years. He looks and acts like a cold hearted demon but I swear he's the sweet kind of demon.
Note; I didn't take out the 'demon' which means he's still a demon. He's intimidating and scary. Not to me of course cause he loves me, but to every other person, he used to come over to grandma's house most of the time to see me and sometimes babysit me when mom was off to college and dad was busy becoming brainiac, and my grandparents had to go to outta town without me, not that I mind because he was really fun to hang out with. I swear he's the best even if everyone kinda hates him. But then, it's just how my life is.
Enough about uncle Dave and back to why I'm excited. Wait, why am I excited?
Oh yeah, BEACH.
Raven and Jaxton were both eating an apple at my kitchen. Jaxton was sitting on the counter while Raven leaned on it, eating the apple with her red painted bloody lips like someone who has no good intention in her entire life and probably is about to murder someone with her heels.
Raven was putting on a black shorts that looked shorter than shorts and was even shorter than mine and a red bra that cupped her boobs perfectly and would but every other girl to shame. I still don't understand what her addiction to red is, seriously.
While Jaxton on other hand with his smiley face was putting on a purple crop top with a rainbow colored unicorn drawn on it and white jean shorts.
"So, shall we go!" I sang as I made my way towards them while doing the salsa dance making Jaxton laugh.
"I've never seen you this excited about something if it doesn't involve world domination." He said and took another bite from him apple with a smile.
"Right? If I knew the beach was your spot, I would have been taken you there all the times I got you mad." Raven said with a shrug.
"Sweetie, it doesn't work that way." I said and took her apple which she scowled at me at. I was about to take a bite but saw the red lipsticks that stained it and handed it back to her. "Sorry, this one has venom on it."
She rolled her eyes and took it back from me, I walked into the kitchen picked up a banana from the bowl on the table that had been refilled with fruits.
Raven examined me for a while and made her way towards me with a devious smirk making me frown as I peeled the banana.
"You had sex with Henry last night." She wasn't asking.
I furrowed my brows wondering how she knew that. "I have no idea what you're talking about." I said and ate half of the banana at once and chewed.
Her brows furrowed. "You've become a full slut." She smiled.
"If there's anything sucking Henry's cock has taught me, it's always expect anything and be ready."
She chuckled. "Wow, you're really in love with this boy."
"I am not 'in love' with him and...I did not have sex with Henry last night."
She pouted and nodded. "Hmm, okay. If you say you didn't then I trust you."
I smiled. "Thank you."
She turned and began walking back to Jaxton but paused and turned. "And by the way, you might wanna hide those hickeys on your neck that are proudly sponsored by Henry Ashcroft before your mom sees them." She said with a smirk.
My eyes widen and I'm sure my face turned red. "Shit." I quickly placed my hand on my neck, maybe I did that a little hard and ended up slapping my neck but that's not the case now.
I took out a towel from my duffel bag and wrapped it around my neck.
Damn you, Henry.
I walked out of the kitchen and towards my best friends. "So, shall we leave and please tell me the hickeys aren't showing no more."
Jaxton smiled. "Relax, they're not." He said and jumped down from the counter with a sigh.
I frowned once I spotted something immediately he got down from the table and looked over at Raven then back at Jaxton who was heading to the sink to get a glass of water.
It happened?
"You have that look on your face as if you're trying to figure something out or figured how to end the world without ending it." Raven said and I blinked it of my thoughts and looked at her. "What's up?"
"Nothing, I just thought I saw a hickey on his abdomen when he jumped off the counter and his top went a little higher.
Her brows rose. "A hickey? Should have known. He's been all smiles this morning and has the same glow you had when you had sex with Henry but I thought, can't be."
Glow?
I looked back at Jaxton, he was smiling while drinking water? He did have 'that' glow now she mentioned it. He looked like he was a golden egg, I don't know if that makes sense but take it from me when I say he looked like a succubus who finally fed on the perfect prey and was gonna be immortal for another thousand years for that.
"Oh my God!" My eyes widen. "I see it now."
Raven smirked. "That sneaky innocent angel actually had sex last night, I wonder with who."
I snorted. "What do you mean 'wonder with who'? It's obviously Dom." A smirk found it's way to my face. "Oh, I'm so gonna tease him for it!"
"You guys ready?" Mom asked from the stairs as she walked down with her huge tummy that had a future Dexwell demon in it.
"Yeah, we are." I smiled.
Jaxton walked out of the kitchen and stood beside me, I gave Raven a look and she also gave me a look that spoke.
Not now. Her eyes said.
I nodded and looked back at mom. "Wow, you three do look like an advanced version of sluts. Good one."
"Mom. Horrible thing to say." I deadpanned.
She shrugged. "Don't blame me, blame the baby." She said and rubbed her tummy.
"You're only using that as an excuse to insult us and do what you want."
She gasped dramatically. "What an amazing observation of the obvious." She retorted making Raven and Jaxton giggle.
"I hate you all." I was itching to give her the middle finger but knowing my mom, she'd probably take out the baby with her hands so she can bang my head on the counter.
"Mutual sweetie." Mom said and patted my cheek, more like slapped calmly cause it kinda hurt and had me rubbing it with a pout.
"Okay kids, have fun." Mom said and made her way to the kitchen.
"Where's dad?" I asked curiously.
"Still asleep." She replied and I frowned.
"Asleep? Its past one. What was he doing all night?"
"Me." Mom turned to me and gave me a wicked smirk. "You wanna know how?" She asked as she flipped her hair and placed a hand on her hip as she leaned her back on the sink.
I grimaced. "Ew. You guys were boning all night?"
"Yeah, we also did this thing we saw on pornhub where-"
"Oookayyyy! Bye mom!"
"Bye Bonnie." Jaxton said as he ran towards the door and out of it so he could avoid hearing another thing while Raven and I kept saying our farewells continuously and loudly to drain out her voice as we made our way towards the door and I screamed out a 'bye woman' before shutting the door.
"Now I can't get the image outta my head, oh God!" I grimaced as we made or way towards Raven's car where Jaxton stood.
This car wasn't the one she always came with, this was another that had no roof. Perfect car for a perfect day.
"How is she even able to have sex with her belly that big?" Raven said as she walked over to the driver's seat and unlocked her car.
"Guys! I didn't run out of the house so you both can continue." Jaxton said with a sigh before getting in
I sighed as well and jumped into the car not bothering to use the door even hough she had clearly opened it.
"Oh and uh, Henry's coming. I invited him." I said as I finally took off the towel wrapped around my neck.
"Yeah and Dominic." Jaxton said and bit his lower lip.
Raven sighed as she started the engine and put on her sunglasses "Really? Y'all invited your boyfriends?"
"We're not boyfriends." Jaxton and I chorused dryly.
"Well, I'll be the only single one and i gotta admit...that is kinda fun." She smirked and began to drive.
"We're also single." I sighed.
"Yeah and Hades is spelt with a Q." She retorted making me roll my eyes.
"Bitch," I muttered.
"Assfuck." She shot back.
"I prefer the term 'forbidden fruit', that's what Daphne called me remember?"
Raven and Jaxton laughed and that did put a smile on my face.
***
"Hey, best friend number three!" I grinned as we made our way towards Gwen and Jon who were already here and also walking towards us with the biggest smiles on their face while holding hands. Gwen was putting on a yellow bikini that fitted her body perfectly while Jon was putting on a green and black colored swimsuit.
I hate green.
"Hello, love of my life." Jon smiled and gave me a hug.
"Oh stop, Gwen's gonna be jealous." I said before pulling away and Gwen laughed.
"Oh, I'm so jealous of your bromance." She said and gave Raven a hug and they began to talk.
One thing I noticed was that this was the same beach Henry had confessed his feelings to me at.
"Green? Really?" Jaxton asked as he stared at Jon's boxers with a look of disappointment.
I nodded in agreement to his disappointment. "I know right? You really don't know how to pick out clothes by yourself, do you?" I asked him.
Jon scowled. "Fuck you both. Green's a really nice color," he said and smiled. "Gwen thinks so."
"She actually said that?" I cocked my brow.
He nodded. "Yeah, she's a darling."
I smiled at him. "She really is." A liar.
"Okay now y'all are here, you wanna go for a swim? We'll have a race." He grinned like a child.
"I'm so in." I nodded and was about to take off my shirt when I remembered a certain hot jock had his teeth all over my skin. "I'll just go in with my shirt." I shrugged and took off my shorts putting it in my duffel bag.
The beach was a little crowded I'd say, not that crowded but it had a lot of people. The sparkling water was dotted with windsurfers and sailboats and the white sand were mostly covered with brightly colored towels and portable radios and people trying to be sexy. We all know the kinda things we see at the beach.
Some people were sunbathing, some were swimming, surfing and some girls running in slow motion like they were on baywatch.
Raven's shorts were already off and damn her body was one in a million, rocking that red bikini like a rich princess. Shee flipped her hair in slow motion and I swear these ladies could make a guy cum in their pants by just staring....straight guys I mean.
"I'm coming along." Jaxton said and took off his shorts as well and put it in his own bag. Gwen and Raven were taking off things from their bags, towels, suncream, sun that and whatever else. when Jax and I kept our bags beside them. "We'll be back." He said and ran a hand through his hair.
My best friend was a beautiful boy, even I had to admit it.
"I hope you both have a spare underwear since you didn't bring your swimsuit?" Jon asked with an arched left brow.
We both nodded.
"I don't own a swimsuit cause I barely go swimming and my underwear is okay." Jax shrugged.
I nodded. "I do have one but I don't wanna wear it." I shrugged as well.
Jon chuckled. "Okay then."
There was something else I loved about the beach except how nature seemed to dance and laugh together here. It was the boys, the hot devils that ran around and surfed in nothing but their boxers and some on just pants. As I looked around and stared at the hots boys around, I noticed most of them were also staring at us and it made me smirk. One winked at me and I just flashed him a smile because he was hot.
"I thought you were with Henry?" Jax said with a sigh.
"We're not boyfriends and It's not like I shoved my tongue down someone else's throat. I'm just...smiling." I smiled.
"You're so weird." Jon chuckled softly.
"They're even checking you out."
He grimaced. "I have a girlfriend, I don't want no dude coming at me."
"What? Scared you might have an inner gayness?" I rose my brow at him.
"The only person I'd be scared to try and make me gay is you."
I smiled. "Thank you."
"Not a compliment."
"Kinda is." Jax shrugged, his hands on his hips.
I snickered and a guy walked up to us, he had brown hair and was about about a feet taller than I was. He had ripped muscles and six packs and was in just blue and white colored boxers. He smiled at us and ran a hand through his hair.
"Hey, boys." He greeted and we just stared at him. "So uh, my friends and I were wondering if you boys would wanna you know hang and-"
"Sorry, straight as a pole." Jon caught him off.
"Not interested." Jaxton spoke a second after.
"Keep walking." I said.
"Oh. Uh...s-sorry." His cheeks were red with embarrassment as he walked away and back to his friends.
"Am I...hot? I mean I know I'm good looking but...hot to all...you know, gender?" Jon asked.
Jax and I glanced at each other and let out a small laugh.
"You're every gay guy's fantasy." Jax answered.
"I'd jump on you if I didn't have Henry at the back and front of my mind." I replied and he smiled.
"That's really sweet of you."
I shrugged with a big smile.
"I don't want gay guys hitting on me, I mean it's cool and all to know I'm attractive but nuh uh." He shook his head.
I snorted. "Own it. It just means you're over attractive and take it from me when I say you are and those green eyes just make me like you more."
"I'm glad we're friends." He said and walked over to stand in the middle of Jaxton and I before throwing his hands over our shoulders.
"So, are we gonna watch a threesome gay sex?" Raven asked from where she laid on the beach chair with Gwen. They both, I'd say again looked like Victoria secret models on a shoot with those body of theirs and sunglasses as well and even that pose. Jesus.
No, I'm still gay by the way.
I gave her the middle finger making her smirk and Gwen laugh.
"Come on boys!" Jon said and we all headed for the water like some baywatch actors.
***
We all swam for what felt like forever and began splashing each other water like we weren't wet at first. It was really fun and later we went back to the girls and talked for a while. Jon decided to surf with some guys afterwards, it was more like a race surf if that's what they call it so here we were, all four of us cheering for our best friend......who wasn't winning.
"YOU CAN DO IT, JON!" Raven screamed and sighed. "He's so gonna lose."
"He's still in third place and those other guys don't look like they're gonna slow down any minute." Gwen agreed and screamed. "I BELIEVE IN YOU BABE!"
Jax sighed as he clapped. "Let's support him people even if he's gonna lose, there's nothing better than a happy loss." He said. "GO JON!" He yelled, seconds later.
"He's trying, I gotta give him that and-oh, look. That guy has overtaken him and now he's forth place." I sighed and put on a smile. "GOOD JOB, JON!" I yelled out and cheered him. "We're such horrible friends and you too Gwen, you're a horrible girlfriend for also telling him that his green boxers are perfect."
"A girl's gotta support her man." She shrugged.
Jax laughed and soon his phone began to ring, he took it out and smiled instantly before answering the call. "Hey,"
I looked at Raven with a cocked brow. "Look how happy he is, I guess his boyfriend is here."
Raven rolled her eyes. "It could be his mom."
"Wanna bet?"
"Fifty bucks then."
I snorted. "You could do better."
"Yeah I know but I'm sure you're broke as fuck so I'm only pitying you." She said with a smile.
Jax sighed as he hanged up. "Dominic's here, I'm gonna go look for him." He probably didn't know he was smiling so much right now.
I smirked. "Well go bring your boyfriend."
Jaxton didn't try to correct me this time like he'd always do and just ran off like some happy boyfriend.
"He's so...happy. Extra happy." Gwen said. "Wow, he must really like that guy."
"He does." I said with a sigh and looked at Raven. "You owe me fifty bucks."
Gwen laughed.
"Fuck you." She sneered and looked back at the water "GO JON!"
"Oh yeah, I forgot we were supposed to be cheering h-oh he's still at forth place." I said dryly.
It wasn't up to five minutes before Jaxton and Dominic came walking our way.
"He's coming." Gwen said and we all turned to out left and saw Jaxton all red and filled with smiles.
"Wow, he really does like that guy. He looks like a tomato right now, if not redder." Raven commented.
"Just, pretend you didn't see them." I muttered and we all looked back at the water and continued cheering.
"Guys," Jaxton called from behind us and we all turned with fixed smiles.
"Oh hey, look who's here." I smiled and gave Dominic a hug.
"Hi." Gwen smiled at him and hugged him as well. "You look great."
Yes, he did. A tall hunk with no shoes like the rest of us, black pants and a white shirt. But that face? I'm so happy for Jaxton.
"Thanks," He chuckled huskily. "You too."
"Thanks." She smiled.
To think I almost set them up.
"How've you been?" I asked, still smiling.
"I've been good. How's your mom?"
"She's okay."
Raven didn't say a word and just went back to cheering Jon after getting tired of fake smiling. "Your boyfriend is a loser, Gwen. I'm sorry." She said and we all turned our attention back to the surfers.
"He's not a loser. He's perfect, assface."
I groaned. "I'm tired of cheering, he's not even close to-"
"They're coming back." Jax said and I quickly replied.
"Okay, guys. Let's start cheering. One, two, three, go!"
And we all screamed and cheered at the same time.
"Y'all be nice." Gwen gritted through her teeth as she fake smiled.
"We'll try." Raven replied as she clapped.
When Jon got off the surf and began walking towards us, we didn't stop cheering him.
"You did good babe." Gwen said and gave him a kiss.
"I didn't even get to third place." He murmured.
"We don't care, you did amazing." Jax said with a smile.
He smiled back. "Thank you Jax,"
"I mean you came forth place, that's pretty good." Dominic said and Jon smiled the more.
"Yeah, there were only six people and you came forth, really good job." Raven said, the sarcasm dripping from her tongue.
"Raven!" Gwen scolded.
"It's kinda true," he agreed. "I'm not the best surfer and the most horrible one."
"Yes you are!" I nodded in agreement, Gwen shot me a look and I shrugged. "What? He said it. I'm only agreeing with my best friend." I said and patted his back making me laugh.
"You're an ass."
"A hot one." I winked.
"I'm liking this admirer. He's kinda hot." Raven said and we all turned to her direction to see her looking at a really-really hot guy that jumped out of a magazine. He was thick, a fine young man and he was also checking Raven out. "I want him. I'll be right back." She said and walked towards him.
"Yes sweetie. Go whore yourself out, beautiful." I clapped.
"You are really possessed." Gwen laughed.
"What? I'm only cheering my best friend." I smiled at them. "Anyways," I turned to Jaxton who was having a conversation with Dominic. "I need to borrow Dominic for a minute if you don't mind." I said and didn't wait for Jaxton's response. I grabbed Dominic's arm and walked away, a few feet away from the crew.
"What's up?" He asked and I slapped his arm.
"Ow! What?"
"I cannot believe you didn't tell me you and Jax did it last night."
His brows knitted. "That doesn't require abuse."
I smacked him arm again.
"Okay that hurt more." He said as he rubbed his arm with a little chuckle.
"I told you to go talk to him after you called me acting like a desperate boyfriend who's feelings were all over the floor, and I gave you an advice. Which was to tell him how you truly truly feel about him and not hold back,"
"And I'm grateful."
I smacked his arm again. "And then you both have sex afterwards and you didn't tell me?" I frowned.
"Who told you we did? Jaxton?" He scrunched his nose.
"No. You just did and I kinda saw the hickey on his abdomen and suspected."
He blushed a little, just a little. "Well okay we did."
I squealed. "I knew it!!" I mean I already did but hearing him admit it made me fangirl the more.
"Hey, it's not a big deal."
"Are you kidding? Jaxton's been smiling like he just heard he's pregnant and you're currently blushing Mr. Macho man." I said and cocked my face at the boy who was frowning at me. "Have you asked him yet?"
He placed his hands in his pockets and sighed. "I-I was thinking of asking him here. We just talked about a lot of things after sex but I haven't asked him yet and wanna do it now and make him mine."
I smiled at him. "I'm a proud father, right now."
He scowled. "I'm still older than you doofus."
"Shut up! I'm seventeen!"
"And I'm nineteen so you shut up."
"You're lucky Jaxton likes you and I like you as well but not in the way Jaxton does of course."
He chuckled. "Uh, does...Raven have a problem with me?"
I hissed. "Yeah I guess she does. She has a problem with everyone anyways. Don't worry, I'll talk to her and know why she's being all jean Grey on your ass."
He smiled. "Thank you, Dylan. Really."
I smiled back at him. "Anytime DOM."
He nodded and walked away with a smile and back to Jaxton and the group when I spotted two girls staring at him and swooning. I frowned screamed at them. "HEY! THAT'S MY BESTFRIEND'S FUCKING BOYFRIEND SO BACK THE FUCK OFF!"
I didn't need to tell them twice, they scurried away in fear. I looked back at my friends. Jaxton's eyes were wide open in shock and I just gave him a smile.
Everyone was with someone and it made me feel a little lonely. Where the hell was Henry? He was late. I sighed and took out my phone, I tried calling him for the forth time in two hours and still no answer. It wasn't that it was ringing and not being answering, he was busying my call and it made me mad.
I saw Jon running towards me with a smile and I quickly faked a smile and dumped my phone in my pocket.
"Hey,"
"Hey. So the guy Raven went to meet wants us to play volleyball with him and his friends and Raven has that killer threatening smile on so we can't say no." He said with a smile.
I chuckled. "You guys go ahead, I'll come meet you guys later."
"You okay?" He asked softly.
I nodded. "Of course, why won't I be?"
"Is Henry still coming?"
"I...Yeah. He's just a little busy, that's all."
He nodded. "Okay, just...just don't expect much." I could hear the worry in his voice.
"I'm not."
"Alright then." He gave me a salute and walked back to the group.
I sighed and turned, running a hand through my hair frustratedly before pulling my phone out again and dialing his number.
Still wasn't answering.
"Hey,"
I gasped as I turned to see Raven and Jaxton standing in front of me.
I fake smiled. "What?"
"You okay?" Jax asked, his voice low and filled with concern.
"I'm fine, seriously. I'm just making a few calls to check up on-"
"Henry stood you up, didn't he?" Raven asked, her voice filled with anger.
"He's probably busy." I shrugged.
"You don't need to cover up for him, Dylan." Raven said, cutting me off. "Don't. I can't believe he actually didn't show up and he's not answering your calls."
"Raven, its fine. Seriously. He's busy, that's all." I said with a smile. "He told me himself."
"Jesus. Can you stop!" I could feel the anger in her voice, she sighed and shut her eyes, opening it a second later. "Look, he's not your boyfriend so you really shouldn't expect much and give too much. You're a beautiful boy, Dylan. And there are a lot of guys here who are dying to ask you out and would jump off a cliff to be your boyfriend. I don't hate Henry but I don't trust him so much either. I thought you both would be boyfriends by now after realizing you both like each other but a decade has passed."
"M-Maybe Henry's just really busy," Jax shrugged.
"Yeah, maybe. But the least he could have done was call or text Dylan and say he's not gonna show up. Dylan's fake smiling right now all because of that stupid d-"
"Raven!" I cut her off, glaring at her. "Don't. Insult him."
She sighed. "Sorry, I just hate seeing you hurt is all. You might try to hide it but I can see it so well." She said and smiled. "Come join us later, okay? You'll feel better, I promise."
I flashed her a weak smile and nodded.
"Stay away from trouble." Jax said and walked away with Raven.
"Have fun for three!" I said out to them.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. "Son of a bitch." I muttered before trying his number again, it rang for long this time and I kept praying he'd answer but he didn't.
I was hurt, I was really mad because he promised to be here and he didn't call to say he couldn't come. I wanted to rip someone's head off cause I was so mad right now.
But then i realized, I shouldn't stand around and feel hurt by someone who wasn't even mine. Raven was right, I could get any guy I wanted. As much as it hurt so bad right now, I shouldn't be mad. I should just play beach volley ball and kill someone, that's much better.
I let out a another sigh and placed my phone back in my pocket. I sat on the beach chair for a long time, I was pissed. You know that moment when you wanna hang with your friends but you're pissed as fuck and you feel that anger inside of you that makes your breathing increase and you just wanna do something bad and you keep thinking about different scenarios of that particular thing and you keep wondering about the 'what ifs' ? This was me right now, this was me for the past forty minutes. The time had gone by so far. Jax and Gwen had come to get me and tell me that they were gonna do a swim race and I should follow them but I was mad and sad and just faked a smile, telling them to go ahead cause I wasn't feeling too well.
I was getting frustrated with the people coming over to me, they didn't even need to say anything. The look on my face was enough to send them running and it did. I was tired of beating myself down and feeling mad that Henry didn't come and wasn't even answering my calls. I did look forward to today and now its thrown into the gutter.
I came to have fun and that was what I was gonna do now. I shouldn't be feeling sad that a guy who probably doesn't even really care wouldn't come. People disappoint. That's it.
I stood up and began making my way towards where my friends were at with their new friends, playing volleyball again and laughing when an unfamiliar voice called my name.
"Dylan?"
I frowned and turned to see a total hot stranger looking at me with a smile.
"What?" I asked coldly.
He chuckled. "Dylan." He repeated, smiling like crazy and then it hit me, he knew my name. "Wow, we meet again."
"I'm...sorry. Do I know you?"
He chuckled. "You don't remember me?"
"If I did I wouldn't ask if I knew you that way."
He smiled. "Sorry, I..yeah we met at a bad timing actually so you might not remember me."
Why did his voice sound so familiar.
"It's me, Turner."
That didn't help.
My brows shot up as I stared at the boy in white shorts and white unbuttoned shirt.
"Still don't know who you are, mister. If you're trying to use the 'you're familiar' card on me to get my number or something, it's stupid.." I said and he blinked in surprise before chuckling, i rolled my eyes and was about to go when he spoke.
"I see you're still wearing my ring."
I frowned in confusion at what the guy was saying as I brought my hand up to my face to glance at my ring. "What are you-" and then I saw it, i was wearing the same ring the guy from the club that night had given me.
My eyes widen as I looked back at the smiling man once his image from that night flashed in my head for a second.
Of fucking course! The same dirty blonde hair except this time it wasn't jelled. The same perfect full brows and cheekbones, that sharp jaw of his! His lips are...damn! The guy who looked so much like a hot movie star and was the same guy I had embarrassed myself in front of and taken his ring.
"Oh. My. God. You."
He chuckled. "Yeah, me."
I blinked severally as I started to get embarrassed that he finally saw me again. "H-Hi. Oh God, I am so sorry for taking your ring home. I was stupidly drunk that night and didn't know-" I was already taking it off to return it to him. I didn't even know that I had put it on today.
"No, you can keep it." He said with a chuckle and showed me his left hand, he had the same kind of ring on.
I blinked. "You have another."
He wiggled his brows. "It's my favorite kind, had to get another when I gave you that one." He shrugged. "So do keep that one." He smiled.
"It still doesn't mean I should keep what isn't mine. I have standards."
"Yeah, if you're wearing it today it most certainly wasn't because you were looking for the owner but thought it suited you."
He wasn't wrong.
He just smiled. "Seriously, Dylan. Keep it. I insist."
And I did.
In case I didn't tell you guys before, he's gorgeous. He has a cute face and I mean he's hot in his own way and Henry's hot in his own way. Makes sense? No? Okay.
"You still remember my name."
"How could I forget?" He chuckled. "And you've kinda been on the news recently. Hero."
"Of course, you got it from the TV."
He snorted. "I didn't forget your name cause I always remember that night and laugh and I remember every conversation, hero."
"Don't call me that. I'm not....I'm not a hero. I just helped my best friend get justice is all."
"Which is pretty admirable." He smiled like a true gentlemen, his smile was rich even. "It was amazing and when I saw you I was like 'what? oh my God, I know that guy'." I laughed. "That's the drunk funny guy I spoke with the other night and he's also the son of Lucifer! He told me himself." He said, making the best funny shocked impression and I couldn't not laugh. It was funny, don't judge me.
"Okay, stop." I said in between laughs.
He chuckled. "That same beautiful smile."
I blushed. "I uh...I am so sorry that I don't really remember you cause that night is still a blur to me but what I can definitely remember is the embarrassing part. When I talked about-"
"How Hercules dumped you for Athena and how you are the god of chaos and disaster?". He said and shrugged. "I remember too, can't forget."
I smiled sheepishly and then shook my head. "Y-Yeah I was super drunk and that was me talking crap."
"No, it was really funny and cool. You also said you'll kill my mother and sister right in front of me if I don't bow before you." He said it like it was nothing but it was!
"Oh God!" I covered my face in embarrassment and prayed that the ground would swallow me and spit me out in mexico.
He laughed. "It's actually okay, I'm not judging you."
"I am so sorry." I said and finally looked at him. "Don't blame me. It was the tequila that I'm never having again."
He laughed. "I like your imagination actually."
I smiled. "So I didn't scare you then."
"Oh, you were too dark that night. But you didn't scare me." He smiled.
"I don't...I don't quite remember everything from that night, all our conversations." I shrugged a little.
"Oh, you asked me to get you pregnant." He said calmly with a shrug and I froze.
"I...w-what?"
He chuckled. "I'm kidding."
"Don't joke like that." I said and smacked his arm making him laugh the more.
"Sorry, sorry." He said and threw his hands in the air.
"Not funny asshole."
He smiled. "It was a little."
"Dick move." I said and smiled afterwards.
"So uh, you here alone?"
"No, I'm here with friends."
"The same ones from the club?"
"Y-Yeah." I nodded. "And some others."
"Cool."
"You alone?"
"Yeah, I kinda am." He smiled.
"Cool."
He cocked his brow at me and I blinked.
"I mean, not cool. Cool. I don't know, its your life. I don't even know what to-"
"You wanna...walk around with me?" He asked, shutting me up. Thank God. "I mean, if you're less busy, it's boring here without company."
I looked at where my friends were, playing and laughing, enjoying themselves. I needed to clear my head anyways and Turner came at the right time.
I smiled and turned back to him. "Sure. I'm not doing anything anyways."
Even his posture was rich.
He grinned. "Well then, why don't we start afresh. Hi, Cameron Turner." He said and thrust his hand towards me.
I frowned and shook his hand. "Do you always give people your last name as your first name?"
He shrugged. "Habit."
I smiled. "Dylan. Dylan Dexwell."
"Nice to meet you, Dylan."
"Same, Turner." I muttered, smiling at the goofy guy in front of me and then more I studied I face, I realized he had really brown eyes.
Cute.
"Are...you gonna let go off my hand?" He asked as he cocked his brow.
I quickly pulled my hand back. "Sorry."
"Walk with me, Dylan." He said and turned before walking, I joined him since I had nothing to do.
"I'm sure I remember you saying you're a college student." I said as we walked.
He nodded. "I am. I uh, I go to school at Princeton." He said, his hands behind his back.
I blinked in surprise. "Wow, really? I mean I knew you smelt and looked like a million dollars."
He laughed. "Is that a thing?"
"Kinda is." I shrugged.
He chuckled. "Interesting."
"Princeton's like one of the top ten universities in the united states that has been for long."
"Actually Princeton is the fourth oldest institution of higher education on the United States and one of the nine colonial colleges chartered before the American Resolution."
I didn't know what to say to that except. "More money."
He laughed. "You told me you were in your senior year," I nodded. "What college do you wanna go to?"
"Harvard."
"Wow. You think you can get in?"
"Why? It's not all about money. I know I'm gonna get into Harvard. I wanna prove that anyone could go to Harvard if they tried. If they wanted to."
"That's cool." He smiled. "And I believe you can."
"Could you remind me of some of the things we spoke about that night? Please?"
"It's not really important. I just know you're gay and you hate this Jercules guy." My eyes widen, of course I told him about Henry. "And yeah, you told me you wanna go to London and some other random stuffs and oh, you also puked on my shirt."
I stopped walking as I stared at him with opened mouth. He stopped walking and turned to me.
"I didn't."
"You did." He chuckled.
"Oh lord, kill me now." I sighed and shut my eyes as I continued walking with him.
"Hey, it's okay." He smiled. "I went to clean off my shirt and by the time I returned, you were gone."
"I'm sorry again, Turner. I will make it up to you anyhow. Except....sex of course."
"I'm not a movie star that needs sex." He said with a laugh and it awfully sounded familiar.
"Did I say that too?"
He nodded.
"Sounds like me." I sighed.
He smiled. He seemed to always be smiling and laughing. He was cheerful and not awkward. "You the only child?"
I nodded. "For now, yes."
"How so?"
"Mom's pregnant and so I'll be an older brother in like two months."
"That's amazing." He smiled.
"Yeah, I know. I'm excited." I smiled as well.
"When I saw you earlier, you looked like a serial killer on the loose. Anything on your mind?"
I smiled. Yes. "No. I'm fine."
"I'm not so sure about that, Dylan."
I sighed. "It's nothing, I got stood up is all." I shrugged. "Doesn't hurt."
"Only when it hurts will a person say it doesn't hurt." He said as he walked. "You're not okay and whoever stood you up is a stupid motherfucking douchebag cause you're amazing."
I smiled sincerely. "That's nice."
"Cause it's the truth."
We walked in silence for a few seconds before I spoke. "So, you live here too?"
"My parents do, I came here for the summer."
"You say that like you live somewhere else."
"I do. New jersey. I have a house there."
I frowned. "You mean...you live alone?"
He nodded.
"How old are you?"
"You don't just go asking a person that but I'll tell you since we're now friends. I'm nineteen. So you tell me yours?"
"Seventeen." I replied.
"Hmm," he nodded.
"A nineteen year old that lives alone. Wow."
"Not technically alone, I live with Sophia. She's was my nanny but more like a mother, she's has been taking care of me since I was five so I moved in with her and she still takes care of me cause to her I'm her son. And plus her daughter and her family live there so she goes there during the weekend."
"She sounds nice."
"She is." He nodded. "The best."
"You have any other siblings?"
"An older sister. She's getting married in a month and that might also be one of the reasons I'm here."
I could hear the distaste in his voice.
"You hate this place?"
He looked at me and then nodded. "I do. This town is no good."
I snorted. "You're so fucking right."
"That's why I try to escape this place every time. Nothing good comes from this place...or so I thought before I met a certain boy with freakishly white hair and a charming smile."
I laughed. "Are you flirting with me, Turner?"
"In case if I was, is it working?" He asked and cocked his brow.
"Is everyone gay in this town?"
"I actually haven't met a lot of gay guys in this town so if you've met a lot, I'm guessing you're the angel of attraction or....angel of magnetic gayness."
I laughed. "Wow, you are weird. So you've been in Eastwood since that night?"
"No, I went back to school a three days later and I'll admit I searched for you but couldn't find you. I only came back two weeks ago and surprise! Dylan's on the television being a badass and not a drunk one this time and it's amazing as hell."
I snickered. "You're dramatic you know? It's kinda funny."
"If there's something life has thought me it's be prepared for drama and so I decided to be drama itself."
"You're cool."
"Anyways." He stopped walking and stood in front of me, I also stopped walking and frowned. "You're really good looking, Dylan."
"Thanks?"
"No, I mean it. Like you're like this diamond and-"
"Turner, I get it."
"I want you to go out with me."
I blinked in shock. "Turner, I-"
"I like to go for what I like. I don't waste time because time waits for no man and I learned that the worst way." He shrugged.
"I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now."
"Do you have one?"
"I...." Henry's not your boyfriend. "No."
"So the hickey by your neck isn't made my boyfriend?"
"You're being nosy." I said and rubbed my neck.
"I'm just asking," he smiled. "So if you have no boyfriend then go on a date with me."
"I can't." I couldn't bring myself to do it, I felt like I'd be betraying the guy that stood me up.
"Okay fine, not a date. Just coffee with Turner."
I sighed. "Cameron, listen-"
"Just coffee. Two friends going for coffee then." He shrugged. "Not a date." He shook his head. "And you did say you owe me, something about making it up to me." He said as he pretended to think.
He was really cute and I couldn't stop myself from smiling.
"Oh, you're pulling that card on me now?"
"You left me no choice, Mr. Dylan, god of chaos and disaster."
I laughed. "Okay, Okay. Not a date. Repeat what I just said."
He smiled. "Not a date."
"Good."
"So then, can I have your phone number so I can keep in touch with you?" He asked as he took out his phone.
"Do I have to?"
"I have to make sure you show up and tell you when we'll meet so yes."
I sighed. "Okay fine," I said and called out my number while he typed it.
"This better not be fake."
"It's not."
It wasn't.
It should be but it wasn't.
Turner felt different. He had made me laugh in few minutes more than I normally would in a day. He was friendly and charming and wasn't a snake who'd hide their intentions and he was cute like a child and funny and I wanted to know him.
He was making me feel better in minutes right after how horrible I felt. It was like he was the perfect cure I needed to how I felt now.
"Seriously, if it is I'll have to come after the god of chaos and wreck havoc." He said and I laughed.
"You could try, Timmy Turner."
"I...should be mad but I love that cartoon so much so I forgive you."
"I love fairy oddparents too." I grinned.
"Well now we have one thing in common."
I chuckled slightly. "I swear you are not normal."
"What is normal to begin with?"
"I-"
"Dylan?" A familiar voice called from behind me and I quickly turned cause all the hairs on my body quickly stood.
Right before me was the guy that gave me countless wet dreams and had the most perfect eyes.
"Henry." I muttered.
Henry's outfit put every guy here to shame. While Turner looked like angel with his all white outfit, Henry looked like the hot version of the angel of death with his all black outfit. Black jeans that hanged below his waist and showed that Vline that made my mouth water every time and even now. I was drooling at the sight of him, unbuttoned black shirt like that of turner as well with eight ravishing packs and those black earrings and his tattoos peeking through his shirt sleeves and that intense look on his face.
Jesus! If I wasn't so angry with him I would have taken him somewhere else and have him fuck me right now but I had to keep my hormones in check.
"Hey, is he bothering you?" He asked as he looked behind me and shot Turner a death glare. If looks could murder a person, this look won't kill not just Turner but everyone here.
"No, he's not."
"Hi," Henry gave him a small nod.
"Turner, Henry. Henry, my good friend Timmy Turner." I said, glaring at Henry.
"Nice to meet you." Turner thrusted his hand out for a handshake but Henry just gave him a small nod.
Turner slowly pulled his hand back into his pockets and leaned closer to me, whispering loud enough for Henry to hear. "He's not your man, right?"
"No, no, he isn't." I replied, arms folded, while Henry arched his brows at me.
"Wait," Turner blinked "So, is this the famous jerkcules?" He asked and Henry's brows knitted into a frown."I thought you two were enemies."
"Were." Henry replied, faking a smile at him.
"Hmm. He's just like you described him."
"Hmm."
"Um, Dylan, can we talk?" Henry asked, he was already getting irritated with Turner.
"Yeah, I'm uh, I'm kinda busy."
Turner cleared his throat. "You look like you play a sport. I myself, I do play the—"
"I don't remember asking." Henry shut him off, his voice cold as ice. "Walk away."
"He doesn't have to go anywhere." I scowled at him but he just ignored me and kept shooting daggers at Turner. "Don't be rude to my friend, unlike you, he was here making me laugh and keeping me company. I'd rather you show him a little bit of respect."
"He really is as you described him," Turner sighed dramatically. "I see why his name is Jercules."
"I will fracture your skull."
"Nobody! Is fracturing anybody's skull here! Everybody is gonna go home with their skull!" I announced.
"Look dude, I'm just talking with Dylan here and he's an old friend of mine. You should try to calm yourself down and apologize to him for arriving here late and leaving him be than be an asshole."
I frowned at him, wondering how he knew.
He smiled at me as if this was a joke. "I figured it all out."
"I mean, he's not wrong." I shrugged.
Henry just stood there.
"Well, I'm gonna leave." Turner said with a small sigh.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
He smiled at me and nodded. "It's fine. I should get home anyways. I guess I will see you around." He said and looked at Henry, he snorted and walked away. "Bye Jerkcules."
I turned back to Henry who just looked at me with a blank stare.
"Seriously?" I folded my arms. "You are just gonna show up and be a cunt."
"It's his fault, I didn't even start it."
"No! It's yours! Fucking arsehole." I scoffed.
"He was flirting with you, forgive me for getting all riled up."
"Yeah, he has every right to flirt with me if he wanted to!"
He frowned. "What?"
"We're not boyfriends! We're NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP, which means anyone can flirt with me because Henry is TOO SCARED OF COMMITMENTS!"
"I'm not."
"Fuck yes, you are! And where have you been, huh? You weren't answering my calls, you didn't even call me to tell me you'd be late. No text. Nothing!" I yelled angrily. "It's been hours, Henry! And then you show up and act like this? Seriously? Grow the fuck up! You might be 6 foot three, but that don't mean you can be a dick!"
He frowned at me. "I am six foot' four."
I gave him a look.
"Sorry. Listen, Dyl, I—"
"You know what? I don't care! I'm going home so you can have fun all by yourself or with my friends and every other girl that is staring at you and fingering themselves in their thoughts AND BOYS AS WELL! I'm leaving!" I was pissed as fuck. My anger was justified. I was hurting and i guess i still am.
I walked past him, bumping my shoulder against his angrily when he grabbed my hand and with just a single pull, my back was resting against his body seconds later with his hands wrapped around me.
"Get your hands off."
"I'm sorry." He said as he rested his head on my shoulder, his voice calm.
I shook my head. "No." I pushed him away.
He continued. "I'm sorry I didn't call you to say I'd be late, I'm sorry I didn't text you or reply to your calls. I was gonna come up with a stupid story about why I didn't answer your calls or arrive early but the truth is I'm a shitty person and I thought it didn't matter cause I didn't even want to show up."
"You could have told me that instead of pulling this stunt. You have this whole stupid theory that I'm gonna leave you, that everybody leaves and that's why you're trying so hard to push me away and get rid of me so fast instead of me doing it to you but what you don't get is that I'm NOT everybody! I'm not trying to get rid of you but be with you! So stop being an arrogant mean ass, and just fucking suck it up cause you're hurting me as well."
He just stared, his expression static.
We were silent.
"Well, speak!"
"What do you want me to say? Yes! It's fucking true! As much as I like you, I'm worried and I'm trying to stop things before it ruins us both."
"You know you really sound so fucking stupid, Henry. You know what? I'm just gonna go home and clear my head." I shook my head at him and turned, walking away and a second after, I could smell him and feel his arms around me.
"Hey. Hey. Im sorry. I'm sorry." He said softly. "I should have started with that instead of being an asshole to your friend. I am a shitty guy, Dylan. I don't know how to do all these. I'm scared and it hurts." He whispered, the pain in his voice could be clearly heard. "I wanted you to be so mad that you'd hate and leave me, but I can't even live with that thought. I don't know how to do this. I don't wanna hurt you. I'm sorry."
I sighed, defeated as I felt my anger die down. I turned to him. "Yes, I'm mad. Very mad and I've killed you a million times in my head in different ways cause it hurts. No one knows how to do this, Henry. There is no manual. None. But we have got each other and we can help each other. So man up, Ashcroft and stop being a dick."
He chuckled. "You like my dick."
"I love your d- you know what, that is not the point."
He laughed.
"I hate you"
He smiled. "Me too." He said before kissing me softly, it was innocent and perfect it had me wanting more.
"God, you're so hot right now. I could rip those boxers off you and fuck you right here."
"You're the one who dressed like a stripper and turned me on immediately."
He smirked and placed a kiss on my neck. "You know you're being bad, you're not letting everyone see the way I left my mark on you."
"It's way too much."
He brought his lips to my ear. "Exactly." He whispered seductively and nibbled my earlobe.
I was really fighting back my moans and trying not to get really hard but it was failing and people were staring.
"Henry, people are staring."
"Let them stare."
"No," I pulled away. "You wanna go....somewhere private?"
He smirked deviously. "Lead the way, pretty boy." He said and furrowed a brow. I held his hand and pulled him along with me as we made our way towards the bathroom.
***
Henry's P.O.V
"Oh my God, you came with this thing?" Dylan asked dryly once we made our way towards his group of friends after our bathroom quickie. And by 'thing' he was referring to my own best friend. Zach.
Dylan was shirtless now, he flaunted his hickeys with a smile like a married woman showing her million dollar ring, making everyone know he was taken. It made me smile as I watched him.
Just doing that alone, made my cock ache in my pants. This guy was driving me crazy. He was filled with spirit and was every bit perfect.
Everyone's eyes were bulged and their jaw dropped or they were covering their mouths.
"Oh, my!" Gwen gasped.
Jax was smiling even though he looked shocked and kept looking at Dylan and I. I would like to know what's in his head.
"They are actually more than I thought." Raven muttered.
"And he's marked!" Jaxton squealed.
"So are you sweetie." Dylan replied and Jaxton became red, it made me wonder.
"Is-Is that from...?" Jon, Dylan's new addition to their group asked as he pointed at me.
Dylan shrugged. "You answer that," he smirked.
"Hey, Dylan." Zach flashed him a smile, apparently Zach has been feeling a little bad about what he said and did to Dylan. His words and I was also mad at him but he was my best friend so I had to tell him to make it right with Dyl.
"Why did you bring this infection here?" Dylan said and scowled at me.
I gave him a smile. "Try to be nice."
He rolled his eyes and looked back at Zach.
"Look, Dylan. I...I was an asshole."
"You still are." Dyl crossed his arms.
Zach sighed. "I just wanna say I'm s-"
"Choke." Dylan said and walked past him and to Jaxton.
Everyone had an awkward look on their face and didn't know what to do. From the shocked looks to an awkward atmosphere.
Zach sighed. "So much for apologizing." He said to me as he placed his hands on his hips. "He's so full of himself."
"He's not. He just hate your guts cause somehow he trusted you a little and you let him down."
"What was I supposed to think?" He shrugged. "Raven was hurt and I wasn't thinking."
"You're right. You weren't." I said blankly.
He sighed again. "I'll still try to apologize to him."
I smiled at him. "Good, just give him time."
"I know, he's not that bad." Zach said with a little smile. "That felt like poison o me." He grimaced and I chuckled.
I stared at Dylan as he talked with Jaxton and the other guy that came with Jaxton to homecoming. Dylan read me like a book, he knew what was going on in my head and I was such an ass or pulling this kinda stunt. I hated how I made him feel and forever I'll call myself an idiot for this. I'm scared, yes but that was a douche move.
I hated how that guy looked at him, I hated how he stared at dylan like he wanted him and that was what set me off. The look in his eyes. He was determined.
If I wanted to keep Dylan and make him mine, there was only one thing I could do. I didn't want anyone approaching and flirting with the guy I was crazy about.
"Dylan." I called, he turned and said something to Jaxton first before making his way to me.
"Hey, you okay?"
I smiled and nodded. "Do you wanna go out with me tomorrow?" I asked with knitted brows and a small smile.
"Sure." He shrugged. "Where you going? Are we going to get smoothies afterwards?"
"I'm not talking about a normal outing, Dylan."
He frowned. "Then what are you talking ab-oh!" His eyes widen once he finally understand. "You mean, l-like a...like a date?"
I smirked and nodded. "Yeah, a date." I repeated. "Tomorrow night?"
He looked frozen, like he wanted someone to pinch him and wake him up and the fact that he was taking time to answer made me nervous.
"Is that a...no?"
He blinked. "What? No. I mean, yes. Wait, no. I mean, ugh! Yes. I'll go on a date with you?" He grinned. "I will go on a date with you."
I smiled. "Okay."
He was right, we weren't boyfriends and he wasn't happy about that.
The only way to make this work was if I allowed myself to move forward.
If I made him mine.
I wasn't just doing this for myself but for him too.
He needed someone to be there for him every time, he needed a protector. He needed someone to stand by him and listen to him rant and judge cartoon characters.
He was right about me being scared of commitment.
I didn't want to be scared of commitment. I liked the feeling of having someone like me for me and care for me.
Next step?
Make him mine officially.
I was getting a boyfriend.
