Chapter 37
"Dylan! You have to eat fast, we're going to be late!!!" Jaxton yelled, and groaned afterwards. He was sitting next to me, and had been bugging me to eat fast for the past five minutes.
I put the spoon back and waited till I chewed finish, i swallowed and looked at his frown, frowning myself.
"What is your problem? Let me eat my food in peace Jaxton! Besides it's still-" I looked at my wristwatch. "Seven, fifteen. Class begins by eight, so calm the fuck down."
"You do know the game night is tonight, right?" His brows furrowed. "I have to be at school early."
"Jaxton relax. We'll make it in time." I said and continued eating my cereal, taking my time.
Jaxton quickly grabbed my plate before I could take another full spoon and went to the sink, he dropped it in and turned to me with a smile. "Oh look, all done."
"What the fuck!" I was mad at him right now, I don't joke with my breakfast.
"Come on." He rushed and picked up his bag.
"I'm gonna fucking kill you!" I said as I slowly stood up.
"Hey guys." Mom greeted, as she walked down the stairs in her black gown and silver stiletto heels, her hair all tied up in a bun.
"Mom, JAXTON JUST FUCKING THREW MY CEREAL INTO THE SINK!" I yelled angrily.
"Oh, he did?" She asked, her brows knitted as she walked towards me. "Well, stop swearing in my fucking house." She said and smacked the back of my head so hard, it hurt.
I placed my hand at the back of my head and scowled at her, as I took some steps away. "What the fuck? You just swore."
She smacked the back of my head again, harder this time and I yelped. "Ow! MOM!!" i yelled as I began walking towards the door.
Jaxton snorted, trying not to laugh but he failed.
I glared at him. "Fucking pick my bag up!" I said, cause i couldn't go back to the table.
"This child!" Mom said, and started taking off her right shoe.
I ran towards the door and when I turned to look at her, she was aiming her shoe towards me. I ducked once she threw her shoe towards me, it went above my head immediately I ducked and it hit the door behind me, it made a loud sound.
My eyes widen, i felt like they were gonna fall out of their sockets. I looked at the door, jaw dropped, and back at my crazy mother.
Did she just fucking throw her stiletto at me?
"Mom! WHAT THE F-" I paused, once i saw mom's left brow raise. I cleared my throat and looked at Jaxton who was trying so hard not to laugh, his eyes looking directly at the floor. "Let's go!" I said and left the house first.
I was walking down the street when I heard footsteps, and Jaxton showed up behind me.
"Why didn't you answer me? I didn't throw the shoe at you." He said with a chuckle, and handed my backpack to me.
I took it from him and swung it over my shoulder. "Shut up! This is all your fault."
"I'm sorry but I have to be at school early and you were eating like spongebob's pet."
"His name is Gary." I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever." He rolled his.
"I bet you, there wouldn't be much students at school." I said as we worked.
"How much do you wanna bet?"
"Twenty bucks." I smirked. "I know how school works. There won't be much people."
***
"Pay up." Jaxton said, his hand right in front of me.
We were both standing right in front of the school, there was indeed a lot of people. Cheerios were busy doing their normal leg spreading things to make it easy to sleep around and also looked ready to dance. Some students were sitting on the grass and reading, some where running with posters in their hands.
I sighed and dived my hand into my pocket taking out my wallet, I opened it and counted out twenty bucks, handing it to him with another sigh. He smiled and took it, putting it into his shirt pocket.
"How is this possible?"
"Like I said, there's a game tonight. Its always like this." He shrugged.
"Jaxton! Oh thank God you're here." An Asian girl with glasses shouted and ran towards us, well...him. "Denis ruined one of the posters and we need your help, and we're not sure on what to do." She said and grabbed his hand. "We need you, come on. Please" She said while walking back to the school, it was as if I just suddenly turned invisible.
He looked at me and muttered an 'I'm sorry'. "Gotta go." He said and followed the girl, running.
"Okay." I muttered and waved a little while he went with the girl.
I sighed and looked to my right, at the cheerleading squad and spotted Raven yelling at one of the cheerleaders. "I cannot believe you added a few weight on the day of the game. What is wrong with you? You look like a meatball that was eaten and vomited by that Indian nerd kid in music class, during lunch." Raven said with folded arms and I just smiled. "Go to the back of the line now!" She commanded and the girl did so immediately, even though she looked sad, hurt by what raven had said.
Poor her, i mean she should know the kinda person Raven is by now.
Raven looked at her right and eyed the blonde girl. "And exactly why do you keep failing the second part?" She asked, that bitchiness in her tone.
"I'm-I'm sorry, I d-don't k-know why I keep failing it. I'm so sorry Raven." The girl quickly apologized, looking scared.
"We've done this routine over a thousand times, you talentless used pad." Raven said, furiously. "You are such a waste of space."
My brows rose instantly and I blinked at her response.
Was her being captain the right choice if she was this cruel?
"LET'S START FROM THE TOP, BANSHEES!!" Raven clapped her hands and placed them on her hips, and the ladies all arranged themselves.
I shook my head, and walked away, I looked at my watch as I went to the school's field. Twenty minutes before class.
What the fuck am I gonna be doing?
I groaned.
"COME ON BOYS!" A husky voice shouted, and a whistle was heard next.
I looked at the direction and saw the boys running around with a ball, few of them shirtless and some had their shirts on. As I walked I watched, i decided it wouldn't be a bad idea watching them and passing time with them so I sat on one of the bleachers.
"MOVE! MOVE!! MOVE!!!" Coach kept yelling, how did he have the energy to shout that loud?
While watching the boys like I was in heaven, cause they were all hot, no doubt. But my eyes were on the ball, as it passed round different muscular hands and then it was passed to another, I looked up to see the player and I didn't care about the ball anymore. I found the perfect person to stare at. I didn't mean to stare, I didn't even think about him but somehow, I found myself just staring at the almost shirtless Hebrew god. He had this singlet on that wasn't a singlet, but it did cover his godly chest and back.
Why do I keep calling him that? Ugh.
He was running, in slow motion. Fucking slow motion. That was how it played in my head, he was holding the ball and sweating, running past every guy till he got to the end of the line and put the ball down.
"YES!!" Coach shouted, happily.
Henry smiled and one of the boys gave him a high five, which he returned. He wiped the sweat on his forehead with his thumb as he walked.
He probably felt eyes on him, cause he looked at the bleachers and by that I mean me. I looked to my left with so much speed and fear, I swear I could have snapped my neck by mistake and died right here.
I didn't want him to know I was looking, I hope he didn't and I hope I was fast enough cause that faint crack sound my neck made, can't be for nothing.
"Hey." A voice called.
I slowly turned to my right and saw Jon, he had a smile on his face, but I didn't. The sight of him totally ruined my mood.
"What do you want?" I gave a frustrated sigh.
"I uh...can I sit?"
"Are you here to push me again? I'm not sitting far up." I flashed him a smile.
He looked down at his hands and back at me, he looked tired, like he hadn't been sleeping. "I'm sorry Dylan. I know it's gonna take you time and all, but I won't stop until you really forgive me." He said with all sincerity.
"Sure." I rolled my eyes.
Wait! Why wasn't he with the other jocks? Wasn't he on the football team?
"Why aren't you rehearsing with them? Aren't you supposed to be with your buds?"
He chuckled slightly and looked back at his hands. "I uh... I quit the team." He said and looked back at me, with a totally fake smile.
I frowned. "What? Why? I mean I'm pretty sure no one in their right senses would."
"That's the thing you see. After what I did to you, and after what you said to me. I realized that....I don't wanna be anyone's bitch. Most of them aren't even real friends." He chuckled and remained silent for a while. "I'm a bad person Dylan," He looked up at me, with a sad expression. "I can't forgive myself for what I did, the guilt is eating me up. So I decided to punish myself and also stay away from people like Eric, so I quit the team." He shrugged. "Hardest decision ever made but, it was worth it." He let out a small laugh, that wasn't from deep down.
That explains why he wasn't putting on his jacket at Mr. Rowen's class.
I just looked at him, I guess he finally understood and is trying to make things right. "You know you didn't have to do tha-"
"I do." He nodded. "I didn't just do it for you, cause of what I did. I did it for me as well. All my life in Eastwood high, I have lived under the shadow of Eric fucking Phillips. Doing what he says, running his errands. I've always done what he asked, cause I wanted to fully fit in. I got into the team because of Eric and maybe that's why I felt like I owed him everything, I got my popularity cause of him and I guess I became blind and stupid, I became Eric."
True.
"When you went to principal Evans, you could have easily told him that Eric and I pushed you. That I was the one who actually pushed you down the stairs, but...you didn't and I don't understand why, maybe I never will but I owe you for that, I owe you a lot and this was the least I could do."
I couldn't help but smile at him. "I forgive you, Jon."
The little smile on his face slowly faded, he instantly looked dumbfounded. "What?" He said lowly.
"I knew you were just following instructions, Eric was like a god to you and you had to do everything to please him, to be a god too. Which was totally stupid."
He laughed.
" You are not a bad person, Jon. You wanted to fit in, you were doing what Eric asked you to do. You were his bitch, yes." I nodded. "But Eric is the mastermind, he brought up the plan, he timed it all up and made you do it, so you could take the blame if anything went wrong. But," I shrugged. "Mother nature slapped him right across the face."
"I heard it was you."
"Well, we both did." I shrugged, while he chuckled. "You didn't have to live in anyone's shadow, dumbass. You quit the team to show how stupid you are, and how you are trying to make up for all you did and, it's a good thing that you understand."
"You know you just called me stupid, right?."
"And I'm sticking with it."
He laughed.
"I forgive you, Jon." I repeated.
Jon grinned, he looked at happy, tired but happy. "Thank you so much, Dylan."
"Your punishment is to help the bullied kids in this motherfucking school. Be a good kid Jonny." I patted his shoulder and stood up. "You should try getting some sleep as well, okay."
"How did you-"
"Bye loser." I said as i walked away.
I walked back into the school with a smile, I guess talking to Jon wasn't bad at all. I mean, I didn't want him to quit the team cause I heard most kids get their scholarship through this ball thing. But I am happy, the dumbass has finally understood things and is changing for the bett-
"Ahhh, our very own white wizard." That voice behind me called out.
I halted.
"You have got to be kidding me." I muttered and sighed afterwards, turning with a smile. "Johnathan. Two John's in one day, what could possibly go wrong?" I folded my arms, faking a smile.
He just smiled and walked towards me, I noticed the football jacket he had on. He already made the team? I thought tryouts was Saturdays.
"How do I look with the jacket?"
"Oh, I didn't even notice it. You made the team." I gave a slow nod. "Wow, so many things are going wrong in this school."
He chuckled. "Be happy for me, Christian took me to the field yesterday, they were practicing for the game, and well Coach was amazed with how I played, so he quickly wanted me in the team and here I am." He smirked.
I didn't reply and just stared at him with a straight face.
"Dylan?" He snapped his fingers.
I blinked and chuckled. "Oh sorry, you lost me at the word 'happy' " I flashed him a smile.
Johnathan looked at me for the longest and smiled. "Did you miss me?"
"I have better things to do Johnathan, and talking to you is like other times, always a waste of air and time." I said and turned to go.
"I am here to stay, Dylan. For good. I heard about what has been happening here with you. Eric, Henry, Jon, Bruce, Mr. Rowan and now your friend, Raven. You haven't done anything to these people who hurt you." He said, looking annoyed.
"I'm not you, Azarel. People do stupid things, you should understand, you do that every time."
"You have gone soft. Do you remember how things used to be back in our school?" He said and my smile faded. "You were the best rival I ever had, but this boy here won't do. I was lucky to be in the same place as you, but you let these people walk all over you?" He chuckled.
He took a step towards me and touched my hair, I slapped his hand off.
"Do these people here know who you really are?" He cocked his brow at me. "You call me Lucifer and whatever name in front of them, like I am a bad person, but..." he leaned closer. "What have you told them about you?"
I looked at him for few seconds with a blank expression that seemed to give him joy, like I wanted and I couldn't hold it anymore. I laughed, I laughed for a while and clapped.
"Wow! You are still a lowlife Johnny." I gave him a disappointed look. "Always looking for someone that you'd throw your anger at cause of good'ol daddy." I smiled.
Johnathan 's smile faded, and I could tell he was angry, I had used his one trigger.
"You should know by now that I'm not scared of you, never was." I snorted. "Neither do I care what your existence in this world is for, cause I give no shit."
"You are really trying to test me, Dylan." He said with his maniac smile and a puckered brow.
"While you're still that demonic, incompetent incel you were back in castle high, I am a better person, and it sucks that you'll never be that. You will always be a lonely, terrible, angry, son of a bitch."
"Oh, I'd be careful with my next words if I were you." He chuckled.
"How about this?,"I took a step forward. "Shut your mouth and get the fuck out of my way, or I'll kick your teeth down your throat and I'll slit it for you."
Johnathan stayed silent, he let out a slight chuckle and moved aside.
"That is so nice of you." I said and walked past him with a smile.
***
"So, what do you think?" Jaxton asked, showing me a huge sign that said 'Panthers', the sign was painted in blue and white, while the panthers were written in black, it also had the face of panther drawn at the edge.
"It says panthers, in bold black letters and is painted bl-"
Jaxton groaned in what I recognized as frustration and i smiled. "Of course I know what it says, I wanna know how it looks, I mean if it's good or not."
So here we are, at lunch, in the cafeteria and I still can't eat my food cause of Jaxton.
"It's really nice."
"You think so?" He grinned.
"Of course." I nodded. "Now let me eat before I stab your eyes."
Jaxton's grin faded slowly. "I hate you."
"Love you too." I smiled, and was about to take a bite of my pizza when I heard.
"Oh look at him, here he comes."
"No jacket." The girl laughed.
"I think he was kicked out."
"Nah, I heard he quit."
I rose my head up, half of the cafeteria were gossiping, whispering obviously.
"He finally rolls in. Now that you're out of the team and you're also one of the school's most hated bully, I wonder where you'd sit." Quinn's voice made me turn to her direction and I spotted Jon, standing with his tray of food.
Quinn stood right in front of him, two cheerios behind her. She just gave him a taunting smile, and I knew her motive was to just humiliate him. I looked at his former table, none of the boys were gonna ask him to come sit with them, Johnathan now sat on their table, taking his spot. John taking Jon's spot. Ironic.
Assholes.
"This is your first time coming into the cafeteria since you quit. Been hiding hmm?" She smirked. "Nobody likes you Jon, you're just like Eric Phillips." She said while eyeing him.
"Go away, Quinn." Jon softly said.
"You know where this places you now, right? You got nothing and you're not elite. You ride a jeep that is gonna have cancer and die soon, like your life henceforth, Dear Jon." Quinn smirked.
She knew where to hit.
And I tried to just mind my business.
"Like, do you think you'd just be welcome in?" The pale girl with black hair standing at Quinn's right said. "Like, you're not that much of a hit anymore."
"Tots." Quinn shrugged in agreement.
"I just can't, right now." The dark girl with a ponytail at Quinn's left said and rolled her eyes.
I rolled my eyes. I hate when girls talk like that.
Jon just looked at her and gulped. "Out of my way, Quinn."
"Or else what? You'd push me down the stairs like you did Dylan? Or what? You know what they say about boys like you who leach off people who are in higher classes than them? When they fall, they go lower than they were before they were dogs to their masters, in your case, Eric was your master." Quinn hissed.
Looking at Jon's face, I knew that part struck him hard. Also having people looking at you while Quinn makes a scene with you for her own entertainment.
It made me wonder between her and Raven, who was much worse.
"I-I just wanna eat." Jon waid.
"And where do you wanna go hmm? You're not in the team anymore and so, you're literally a nobody like half of the school." She wiggled her brows at him. "But worse. At least they never attempted murder."
Most of the students snickered, and it pissed me off.
Jon turned to go and I sighed. "He'll sit with me." I said out loud making them all looked at me. I felt their eyes all on me.
"What?" Quinn turned to me and arched her perfectly carved brow.
I looked back at her and Jon who was now looking at me perplexed , like he couldn't believe what he had just heard, and if that was the case- I didn't blame him.
"I said, he'll sit with me." I smiled at her. "Cut him some slack Quincy, and stop trying to humiliate him."
"He is a bully, the whole school knows that." She said and flipped her blonde hair.
"And so are you." I shrugged. "And honestly, so is about eighty person of the kids who go here. But the difference is that one is remorseful."
"He is only remorseful because he got caught for attempted murder." Quinn cocked her brow at me.
"Quinn, drop it."
"Drop what? Because it seems you my friend have dropped your own brain to forgive this incel." Quinn grimaced in disgust.
I got up and walked to her, I leaned and whispered something into her ear. Once I did, I pulled back and the colour had washed off her face as she stared at me, unable to speak.
"Let's go, girls." Quinn said, keeping her composure. "Sometimes our good and be perceived wrongly."
Jaxton snorted. "Yeah, right."
"Excuse you?" Quinn turned to Jaxton.
"You are here acting all righteous and mighty, but you are actually just worse."
"The whore really has something to say, huh."
"Self projecting?" Jaxton cocked his brows at him.
"And what does that mean?"
"Well we all know your legs are like tescos, Quinn." Jaxton cut in, he looked up from his sign and at her. "They're open twenty four, seven." He gave her back her taunting smile.
Fatality!
I held back my laugh as I watched them stare at each other like they were in a ring. Some student began to laugh which made Quinn look around before looking back at Jaxton.
"Being friends with Dylan, doesn't make you what you're not." She said, smiling softly. "And when you both break up, which you will. You will realise, you're nothing without him, just pathetic, plain, boring, unwanted, despicable Jaxton Olson." She said and Jaxton just stared. I didn't need anyone to tell me these words somewhat did something to him.
"The same boy who couldn't look me in the eye until Dylan came into this school. Your audacity has become enormous," she laughed mockingly. "Let's see how long it lasts." She said while Jaxton sat in silence.
"Quinn, walk away." I said, my arms folded.
Quinn looked at me and smiled. "Bye, bestie." She blew me a kiss, snarled at Jon and walked away.
I turned to Jon whose eyes were teary as he stared back at me.
"Why are you about to water bend from your eyes?"
Jon chuckled. "I am really stupid. The guy I treated like shit, just...did that for me."
"You didn't treat me like shit, babe. You threw me down the stairs." I corrected. "But regardless," I walked back to my table and sat down. "You are welcome here. Come on."
Jon walked over to our table and sat down, offering Jaxton a weak smile.
"Hi. I uh, I just wanna say tha-"
"You don't need to say anything to me. I only did what I did cause I had to back my friend up and mostly cause I hate that bitch. Don't think I did any of this for you, we can never be friends." Jaxton spat.
"That's enough, Jaxton." I said, softly. "You need to trust my judgment with bringing Jon here."
"It's uh, it's fine." Jon faked a smile.
"You went from almighty Jon to a nobody. How does that feel?" Jax smiled at him.
"I think he gets the point, Jaxton. Let's not drag this."
"This guy bullied a lot of people, Dylan. A lot of weak people in this school and-"
"I know. He also quit the team to try to make things right. If he didn't, i might have actually gotten him kicked out someway anyways." I said and he looked up at me.
"Like that makes it better."
I laughed. "Jaxton, I don't think you're the best person to give a speech about what makes what better concerning people hurting me." I said, grinning widely. "You know? You've been at the other end you're condemning hard."
Jaxton gulped.
"And besides, Jon didn't want to murder me but seeing as he had an undying loyalty to Eric Phillips the sadistic cunt, he did it. Possibly because he feared he would return to just being nobody which I don't think is a problem, I mean that way you do your thing and just disappear." I shrugged. "But for Jon, I guess it was different." I said and looked at him. "Am I right?"
Jon looked away and gave a small nod. "Eric made me feel important, and like I had a purpose. I am a loyal friend, so once I stick to someone, I'm there with them forever. With Eric, I was loyal, but some demands made me scared. I'm a bad person, I know. But, am I that bad of a person?"
"It wasn't that I enjoyed the bullying kids or making fun of them. No. But he was the one who helped get me on the team. He took me on rides with his friends and then it just...went downhill for me. And I am sorry again, Dylan. So sorry." He apologised, sincerely. "And I want you to not just forgive me. Take your time. Months. Years. I would understand because what I did was terrible."
I stared at him.
There was a difference between his apology and Jaxton's. He wanted me to take my time. He didn't force for a quick forgiveness.
A loyal friend, huh? I could use that when things go south
"Well, Jon. I guess it is safe to say you're welcome to this table from today and since you have realized your mistake, it is all fine." I told him.
"Will you be at the game tonight?" Jax asked him.
"N-No. I can't."
"I understand, what about Zach's party?"
I frowned.
"Nah." He chuckled.
"Zach is throwing a party?" I pouted.
Jax looked at me. "Yes, he's been announcing it for days."
"How come I didn't hear?"
"You don't like him and he don't like you. You don't pay attention, and he probably also doesn't want you to know." Jaxton shrugged.
"Hmm. Good point." I nodded.
"You going to the game?" Jon asked me.
I shook my head. "Not my kinda thing. I prefer staying home and catching up on Game of Thrones."
Jaxton frowned. "That's impossible, you're going!"
"No, I'm not."
"Yes! You are! You've missed a game before."
My brows furrowed. "They've played before?"
"Unbelievable!" Jaxton face palmed in frustration, while Jon laughed.
"How was I to know? My name is not coach or cheerleader."
"You are a student!"
"And?" I was confused. "Besides, if there was a game, I would have known somehow."
"You missed one." Jax sighed.
I turned to Jon. "Has there been a game since I-"
"Yeah." He nodded, still laughing.
"Oh." I pouted. "Well, I didn't go to the first one, I'm not going to this one." I shrugged.
"Oh you're gonna go." Jaxton shook his head.
"Yeah, and who's gonna make me?" I arched my brow at him. "Literally no one."
***
"I cannot believe I'm here." I said as I watched some students scream in excitement as they walked, while some kids were walking to the field with their parents, another group had their faces painted. I looked at Jaxton angrily and punched his shoulder so hard. "I cannot believe you told my mom!"
"Ow!" Jaxton exclaimed in pain and rubbed his shoulder. He had half of his face painted blue and then two small black lines were also drawn with his fingers at both side of his cheeks. He reminded me of smurf, sorta.
"Hey! No fighting in my car, okay. Now get out, the both of you." Mom said while looking at us through the gear mirror.
I coughed. "I think i caught the flu." I said in a raspy voice.
"No you did not! You're fine." Jaxton said, and I glared at him.
Mom sighed and turned to look at me. "You need to start getting yourself involved in your school activities, Dylan. You can't stay home all the time."
"Bonnie has a point." Jaxton shrugged.
I sighed and looked down, they were right but-
I coughed again and looked at mom. "I really did catch the flu." I still didn't want to go.
Mom rolled her eyes. "And here I thought he finally understood the talk. Get out."
"Don't make me mom."
"We have to go!" Jax whined, I glared at him again.
"Shut up smurf." I eyed him.
"I only have one side of my face painted jackass!" He frowned at me, looking a little offended.
I rolled my eyes and looked back at mom. "You were saying?"
"I cannot have you stay home when there's a game tonight." She shrugged.
"Oh you can, it's simple actually." I smiled at her.
"Dylan, get out of my car."
I sighed. "Fine." I said lowly.
Mom leaned and looked out her window. "Isn't that Raven?"
Jaxton and I looked out the car and saw Raven with her group of hyenas, all walking to the school.
"Let me call her." Mom said with a grin. "I haven't seen her at the house in a while."
Jaxton and I exchanged quick glances and we knew we had to stop her.
"Ra-"
"The game's gonna start soon." Jaxton announced and got out of the car.
"Yeah, I'll see you later mom." I said and rushed out as well. "Love you, mom!" I said and slammed the car door shut.
"Oh I-"
"Bye mom. I'll call you later."
"Oh, uh. Call me when you guys are done, I would come but I've got something to do." She said as she started the engine.
"Sure. Bye."
"Later Bonnie."
"Say hi to Raven for me."
"We sure will."
"We will pass that message." Jax nodded.
"Oookay. Have fun." She said and drove off.
"That. Was. Close." Jaxton let out a heavy sigh.
"Yeah." I nodded in agreement. "I still hate you." I scowled at him.
"Well, hate me later. Let's go, we need good seats." Jax said and began walking ahead. I rolled my eyes and folded my arms, walking behind him.
"Can you smile at least and act like you're happy?"
"No smurf."
He sighed.
I instantly heard a shout so close to my ear, it startled me, until I realized it was some stupid hyped Eastwood high students who had their face all painted.
"Fuck you guys." I angrily yelled as they ran to the field.
Jax laughed. "Relax, Its the game spirit."
"Then I guess I'm dead."
"So, when Henry scores, we'll scream the loudest and make him notice us." A girl behind me said.
"Oh my, that is so smart." Another said and giggled.
I turned to see three girls walking, one had black long hair that got to her waist, the other had a short strawberry blonde hair, and the last was brunette. Hmm.
I just watched them.
"He'd totally notice us." Blonde giggled.
They all stopped walking and laughing once they noticed me staring at them.
"H-Hi Dylan." The brunette haired girl greeted, forcing a smile even though she looked nervous.
"Don't you girls have any dignity left?"
"Uh...what?" The black haired girl asked, her brows furrowed.
"Good luck with your screams," I flashed a smile. "Hopefully he notices you three, even when there are gonna be hundreds of people screaming at the same time as well." I turned and walked away. Stupid. Jaxton was always out of sight, but of course I knew my way.
There was so much noise, gossips, laughter, screams and so many more as I walked to the field, I instantly felt the urge to pee and had to look for Jaxton. Where could he fucking be?
"Hey."
I twirled. And there he was.
"Hey, I was just looking for you "
"Where were you? One minute you were behind me and the next you disappeared."
"Forget that." I waved it off. "Got a seat?" I asked once I noticed the enormous crowd, it was dark but thankfully the sidelights and the moon helped our path.
"Yeah, second roll, at the middle."
I smiled. "Great, just keep my spot." I winked at him. "I really need to pee."
His face fell. "You're kidding!"
"I'm serious." I said and began to shake a little.
"Ugh. The game's about to start."
"Did I ever tell you I was interested?" I arched my brow at him. "Just save me a seat, I'll be back in a minute." I smiled at him and ran into the school.
"Hurry back!!!" I heard him say, but I didn't reply since I really needed to pee.
I ran into the school and was heading for the boy's bathroom when I bumped into someone.
"Oh shit, watch it!"
"You bumped into me." The voice said and chuckled.
I instantly knew whom it was.
I looked up at him "Christian." I smiled. He had the same black prints Jaxton had on his cheek and his hair was perfectly jelled backwards. He held his helmet on one hand. I admired his outfit, the shoulder pads, gloves, shoes, and thigh and knee pads, and even the shorts thing that was so tight.
"Hi."
"Hi." I gave him a warm smile. I looked at his outfit again. "This looks...good on you."
"Thanks." He laughed.
I nodded.
"I'm glad you came"
"Jaxton dragged me here."
He chuckled. "Are you avoiding me?"
I snorted. "Why would I avoid y-"
Suddenly all his teammates started walking out.
"Yo christian, come on." One of them announced.
"I'll see you at Zach's party?"
I nodded. "I'm not gonna be there."
"Oh!" He looked disappointed. "I-"
"Christian!"
That godly voice called, I looked behind him and saw Henry who just stared at us. The outfit suit him more than it did any of the boys, with his muscles and damn he looked so fine. My eyes wondered down there and I must say, I saw heaven. I couldn't fully see it but I caught a glimpse of his dick-print and like I said. Heaven.
"Eyes up here."
I looked up and met his angry green eyes. I blinked severally. I was caught red handed, shit.
"I wasn't-"
"Let's go Tate!" He demanded, while still looking at me and then walked away.
"Later then." Christian smiled and fixed his helmet, running out.
Why do I feel so...crap! Pee.
I continued running and bumped into another person.
"Jesus! Son of Mary and Joseph!" Coach exclaimed.
"I'm sorry!" I said and ran past him and into the bathroom and at the sight of it, I felt like I was gonna pee at that moment on my pants, just at the sight of it.

The crowd shouted so loud as the panthers scored their second goal. Jaxton jumped and screamed so loud like everyone else while the cheerios cheered. I just sat there, drinking the smoothie in my cup, everyone cheered, roared and sang but I wasn't moved.
Henry had of course scored this time, Bryce scored the first.
As one of the panthers, number twenty one held the ball and ran like he was being chased by wolves, which he was. One of his teammates yelled at him to pass it but he didn't and just as God wanted, he was roughly hit making me and a couple more people flinch back in my seat. He fell really hard and at that moment I prayed and wanted him to quickly get up but the guy from the other team had taken the ball and was running back to where number twenty one was just coming from.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!" I kept muttering as he ran. "Crap! He's gonna make it!" I bite my nails.
The guy was fast, he was a really fast runner and although the panthers tried to catch up with him, they couldn't. He made it to the end zone, he dropped the ball with pride and chuckled like a hungry dog, sticking his tongue out.
Touchdown.
Everyone supporting the panthers groaned in annoyance while the others supporting the other team rejoiced.
"This just fucking sucks." I sighed. I looked over at their cheerios and they were super excited. "I want them to be in a horror movie and all die." I said while scowling at them jumping in their red outfits and waving their pom poms.
"Well," Jaxton patted my shoulder. "I guess that will make two of us."
I smiled at him. I looked up at the score board and frowned again. "I hate seeing that one right there."
"Hopefully, we score again." Jaxton said and lifted up his sign. A lot of people were holding up posters supporting the panthers , they were really nice though compared to the other team's plain posters.
It was half time now, everyone cheered as the boys all went to their various homes. Henry angrily removed his helmet as he headed towards coach.
"Well, the banshees are gonna do their cheerleading routine soon." Jax sighed.
"I'll be right back." I said and stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"I need to pee."
"You are fucking kidding me." He looked at me with disbelief. "You went to the bathroom earlier."
"I'm sorry, I'm not in charge of how I pee."
"Yes you are." He nodded.
"No, nature is." I said and turned, walking away.
I walked down the stairs and into the school.
When I was done using the bathroom, I decided to head back to the field. I took out my phone and decided to use this opportunity to reply my Instagram messages from people important.
"Well," I shrugged as I walked and locked my phone. As I looked up, I quickly stopped on my heels, my eyes widen and my jaw dropped at the sight. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, Raven was here making out with the devil, with Lucifer himself. Johnathan. They were practically eating each other's mouth and he was sucking out her life source like the succubus he was, he held one of her legs up.
The sight was DISTURBING!
I cringed at the sight. "OH MY GOD!" I exclaimed. I couldn't believe my eyes. Raven was kissing the devil. They quickly stopped but they both had a smirk on their face.
I gagged. "Oh lord, I think I just threw up in my mouth."
"Hopefully, it stays in there." Raven smirked and folded her arms.
"What do you think you're doing, locking lips with-' I gagged again as I looked at Johnathan. "-that."
"Ouch!" He smirked still.
"I'm really busy now, go away." Raven gave me a bored look. Johnathan then wrapped an arm around Raven's waist and smirked.
"Raven, I wanna speak with you."
"Didn't you hear her dumbledore? She's busy." He winked.
I rolled my eyes. "It's a wonder how a house hasn't fallen on you, Johnny. You're denying me the chance to sing my cover of Ding Dong! The witch is dead."
Johnathan snorted. "Funny."
"Now, Raven." I turned my glance back at her.
Raven huffed.
"Fast then!" She said and walked away from Johnathan's grip.
I grabbed her hand and led her further away from Johnathan so we could speak.
"What the fuck , Raven? Couldn't you keep it in anymore?"
"What is your business with my life?" Her perfect brow rose.
"I'm trying to save your ass from that cock- juggling thunder cunt!"
"Are you jealous?"
I felt disgusted. "Ew. Of Johnathan? Thank you but I'm not that desperate for infections and termites."
"What exactly is your point?"
"Johnathan is a bad person, Raven! You need to stay away from him. He is worse than Eric. He will use you and dumb you, and the worst thing is that he'll try to..." I couldn't find the word. "You have to believe me, Raven."
All she did was laugh, a laugh that I didn't understand why it was being let out.
"Wow." Raven placed her hand on her hip.
"God, what an attention seeker." She sighed. "I almost forgot how pathetic people who aren't my status really are. You just reminded me." She said and looked at me.
"Excuse you?"
"You heard me." Her brows puckered.
"Raven, I' only trying t-"
"I can handle myself, little ranger." She smirked. "I don't need a watchdog. I'm not as helpless as that friend of yours, who had a relationship with a man ten times his age."
I snapped my fingers in her face immediately. "I would advice you to pick your next words carefully, Ms. Red. I might have tolerated that bitchy attitude of yours, but do not mistake it for me being accepting of it." I cocked my brows.
"You might not be friends with us anymore because you felt entitled to knowledge that was none of your business to begin with. Something that happened on a drunk night because you apparently are my mother. But that do not give you any right to disrespect me." I gave her a warning look. "I will take a lot of things, but there is also a lot of things I won't take. Like that mouth of yours wanting to say things it shouldn't, so glue it."
"You don't tell me what to do, Dexwell."
"But I sure as hell can, Frost."
Her facial expression was blank. "You mind your own business and stay out of mine. We aren't friends anymore, get that into your head, Snowy. We've got routines to do" She said and twirled around, walking away.
Oh sweet, bitchy , red haired Raven, you have no idea what you're in for.
I stood and watched as she walked to Johnathan who smirked at me and walked away with her.
"Hey."
I flinched, startled and turned to see Jax behind me. "Hey!" I forced a smile on my face. "How long have you been-"
"Long enough for me to know she doesn't care about us anymore and she's the bitch I thought she was from the very first day." He smiled, it was fake and I noticed it.
"She cares, she's just still mad." I said and walked over to him.
Although she had no reason to be.
"Yeah well, she doesn't have a reason to really be." Jaxton shrugged.
She doesn't. But we are here now, and it is all because of that mouth of yours too. The villainous tongue of yours that you hide behind your sweet self.
"Thanks for having my back, Dylan." Jaxton smiled.
I nodded. "Of course."
"You knew Raven first, but you stood up for me."
"Of course. That's what friends are supposed to do."
He grinned. "You're amazing." He hugged me.
Aren't I?
"I know." I replied.
"So," he broke the hug. "What do we do about Raven and Johnathan. Do we just leave her?"
I shrugged. "She doesn't wanna listen to me, but I can't just....leave her with him, knowing how terrible that cunt is."
Jaxton laughed suddenly.
"What's funny?"
"I'm sorry, but we both look like smurf now."
I touched my cheek and looked at it, blue.
"I'm not gonna talk to you anymore." I said and walked ahead.
"We live in the same house, stupid." He said as he followed, while snickering.
What bugged me the most right now was Raven. How do we save her?

THIRD PERSON POV
"Thank you for standing up for me." Johnathan said as he smiled at the red haired. The two were at the other side of the hall, after their altercation with the school's dark angel- Dylan.
Raven looked like she was in a battle with herself and Johnathan noticed that. He calmly tucked her hair behind her ear and she smiled at him in response.
"What are you thinking about?" Johnathan questioned, after studying her eyes.
Raven sighed before speaking, almost as if her thoughts were at war and it was an essay she was about to spit out.
"I am a bitch, aren't I? God, I don't know what is wrong with me."
Johnathan's brows slightly narrows, he couldn't afford her having such thoughts.
"You're not a bitch." He replied, pulling her to him and wrapping his arms around her. "You stood up for me, and no one has ever done something like that for me."
"It's just...I feel like I overreacted with our whole fight thing." A sigh escapes her lips again.
"No," Johnathan says softly. "Even if you won't tell me what the fight is about, I know you did not overreact , and you know how I know?"
Raven raises here eyes to look at the handsome boy's face as he spoke. "How?" She questioned.
"Because I can tell you have a good heart. And like I told you, I know Dylan, more than you and more than Jaxton. You think you know him but you do not have a clue who he is." Johnathan slowly shakes his head.
He continues. "It starts from one simple lie or misunderstanding, and when forgiven, it becomes something worse and heavier, until he has sucked the soul out of you and you remain nothing but a puppet to him." Johnathan said in the most serious tone.
"Dylan doesn't seem like that."
"One can hide it's true form, but for how long? I'm sure you must have caught some slips from him." Johnathan shrugged while Raven gave it a thought.
"Look," he pauses. "I will not tell you how to feel and what to think, but dangerous people always leave behind a spot. Dylan manipulates people and you are a fire head, one that the school worships." Johnathan chuckles slightly. "Did you really think he would make friends with you without something being in it for him? Tsk, think about it."
Raven pauses for a bit. "And why should I trust everything that comes out of your mouth?"
Johnathan shrugs. "Because I have nothing else to hide. Because deep down you know something is off with the white wizard, Rave." He smiles at her.
"I know you are a girl with troubles of her own, and I will always be there for you no matter what happens because I like you and I think you are amazing on your own without those two by your side, you were doing well already." He caresses her. "But he'll use you to shield himself. Better the known devil than the secret one, right?" Johnathan's brows furrows.
Raven gives it a thought as she listens to the boy holding on to her with tenderness.
"You do not need to believe me if you feel I'm lying, and that's okay. You wouldn't be the first to not trust me over me. Maybe the result, the outcome, will show you I never lied, and hopefully, it isn't too late." Johnathan softly says.
"Dylan only knows two things; to manipulate and to destroy. He makes everything about himself and thinks the world revolves around him, so now," he takes her hand in his. "It is time for you to fight back and show him the world really doesn't revolve around him. But again, that's just what I think." He shrugs and then kisses Raven quickly.
Raven smirks in reply to him, but her brain worked differently. Because to her, Johnathan had made better points, and he didn't seem to be lying.
Dylan after all, is something else.
