Chapter 46.
Dylan
"Eric."
I glared at the being right in front of me, seeing him made my blood boil.
"Well, well. I guess we meet again." He grinned as he walked towards us. "Its nice seeing you again."
"I wish I could say the same." I scowled at him.
"This is such an amazing coincidence." He chuckled.
"Yeah, not really." I fake smiled.
He chuckled again. "Always with that annoying tone." He hissed. "Do you know what I hated about you the most?"
"No, but I'm sure you're gonna tell me anyway." I flashed him a smile.
"You've always got a smart mouth with nothing to back it up." He said, now standing close to me.
"And do you know what I hate about you the most?" I cocked a brow at him. "Your stupid ego." I stated. "I mean you have such a big ego, it has made you go blind and you can't actually see the lowlife you've become." I retorted.
He didn't reply and smirked. "Oh Dylan, tsk tsk tsk." He shook his head as he looked down, he rose his head and smiled at me. "You have no idea what is coming for you, I'll make you pay for what you did."
I didn't reply.
"I hate you." He gritted out.
I sighed. "Well then, I guess you've gotta have to stand in line, because there are a lot of people who hate me and planning the revenge thing on me. Honestly, you wouldn't be the first."
He just smirked and stayed quiet for a while. "You lied to the principal. I didn't push you. Jon did."
"But you ordered him to do it, which means you did." I replied immediately. "He was only following your orders."
"Jon should have been the one suspended."
"Not If the mastermind was caught." I shrugged.
"We both should have suffered the consequences." He sounded pissed and if he was, so was I.
"And instead, only one person did." I shrugged and gave him a smile. "You."
He moved closer. "I have to attend summer classes because of you! I will have to miss the exams and-"
"And I don't give a wet monkey's ass what happens to you, Eric." I cut him off. "I honestly don't care cause whatever happens in your life doesn't matter to me, neither does it affect me." I shook my head.
He swallowed, glaring at me. "When I return, I'll make you beg. I'll make you suffer and make your life hell."
"You see, that's one thing you're not getting right." I shook my head again and folded my arms, taking a step towards him and looking him in the eye. "I really am not afraid of you, Eric. You are just like every bully in a high school movie, easy to deal with." I laughed.
"If you even think of trying to repeat that act or come after me or my friends, I promise you will be kicked out. Expelled." I emphasised the last word. "I assume you're already eighteen, jail would be a nice home for you."
I saw a hint of fear in his eyes which he quickly shoved away. He smirked and looked straight at me. "Not if I do this in my own way."
I laughed. "You're not the only one with plans, Gustavo." I shook my head at him. "I knew you'd be back, and so I already have the knives sharpened for you."
We just stared at each other, as if battling with our eyes.
"You just think you're so smart eh?" He smiled just as evilly as he always did.
I let out a slight chuckle. "Oh Dracula, you've lost the battle before it even begun," I said with a smile. "I am not scared of you, not even a little." I shrugged.
"You really think so?"
"Not at all, in fact no one is. You lost everything the second everyone knew who pushed me down those stairs. All the respect, everything. Your name went straight into the mud." I smirked at him, I could see the anger in his eyes clearly and he wasn't hiding it. "Where there are wolves, there are also hunters who wouldn't stop until they murder them." I stated.
He gripped my arm forcefully in a matter of seconds, glaring at me.
I flinched since it was unexpected, I frowned and looked down at his hand and back at him. "This is the new thing?"
"You have no idea who you are dealing with, I will break you in ways that you wouldn't be able to imagine, I will ruin you slowly that you will feel like the world is against you"
"Eric, let go off my arm. I am fucking warning you." I snarled at him.
"Eric, stop." I heard Jaxton say.
"I will make you fear me." He growled as his grip got tighter.
It was starting to hurt but I bit my tongue to avoid myself from showing that whatever he was doing was hurting. "Let. Go. Off. My. Arm"
"Eric!" Jaxton pulled his hand away forcefully and pushed him backwards. "Are you fucking stupid?"
Eric gave Jaxton a look, like he had dared to defile him or something. His eyes held surprise that Jaxton could stand up for himself. He scoffed and pointed at Jaxton. "You-".
But Jaxton cut him off.
"You have honestly done enough!" Jax said, glaring right at him. "You don't just appear and threaten my friend. You are such a low class scoundrel with no moral lessons." Jax yelled and rose a finger at him. "If you even think of coming back to Eastwood and trying any stupid games with any of us. I will make sure you leave that school before you can spell your name." Jax snapped his fingers. "Don't. Push. Me. Or I swear to God, the dead will rise because of your case." Jaxton was red with anger.
I looked from him to Eric who couldn't believe Jaxton was talking to him in such tone. It wasn't like Jax was really scared of him but I'm pretty sure he wasn't expecting little Jaxton to say such. Its like the David and Goliath story, again.
Jaxton's was pulled forward and he was greeted with a punch in the face that threw him to the ground.
My eyes widen at the sudden move, Jaxton let out a small groan and placed his hand on his cheek, wincing in pain.
"Jaxton!" I went over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder, I glared at Eric and walked over to him. "You fucking waste of sperm." I punched him hard on the face, not even scared of what might happen next.
He rose his head back up and laughed. "That's a good punch." The next thing I felt was a really hard pain on my jaw that had me stumbling. I winced in pain as I spat out blood, hissing. It did hurt bad, like really bad.
But now, I was mad.
He's an asshole, an evil bastard who threw you down the stairs.
My mind kept saying.
I stood up angrily, wiping off my lip and started walking towards him when a hand grabbed mine and pulled me back, I looked back to see Jaxton shaking his head. "No."
"Let me go!" I growled.
"Dylan, stop!" He said as he stared back at me. "Eric ain't worth our fights." He said and looked at the bastard. "He's the loser here, not us. He's already lost it all, we fighting with him ain't worth it at all." Jax said as he glared at him
What Jax said seemed to get to Eric, he was red with anger because Jaxton was speaking the goddamn truth. He matched towards Jax and I quickly stood in front of him.
"Leave him the fuck alone." I sneered. He tried pushed me aside and I punched him and kicked him in his groin. Eric groaned in pain and turned to me with a death glare, he came for me and dragged me, slamming my head against the wall hard, and I fell.
He went for Jaxton and gripped him by the collar angrily, I could feel blood at the back of my head and boy did it take me back to that very night at Jaxton's house, my vision was started to get a little blurry but I kept shaking my head to avoid falling asleep.
"I'll teach you how to speak to me, you little shit."
"Bite me." Jax didn't look a bit scared.
He rose his hand to punch Jax and I looked around, there were not a lot of people on this side but people just passed like it was nothing, some just watched like this was some movie.
And at that moment I felt everything go dark for a moment as I looked at him. I placed a hand in my back pocket taking out the pocket knife in it as I watched Eric. My eyes moved to his neck and I could see a vein and all I thought about was it. I gripped the knife tightly and stood up, making my way towards him. Ready to stab him one, two, three times.
But then a shadow ran past me.
Before Eric's fist met Jaxton's face, he was pushed to the ground roughly, a guy appeared right on top of him and began punching him and the boys started fighting. Eric kept throwing punches at the male whose face I couldn't see, since his back was facing us, but the guy looked familiar even and more stronger since he didn't stop punching the boy under him and when Eric pushed him off him, I saw his face and I recognized him so well. I was about to call out his name when Jaxton beat me to it.
"Dominic!" He called out.
Dom to the rescue.
I gulped once I looked at the knife in my hand, I closed it and quickly put it back in my pocket.
Dominic looked mad and got back on top of Eric, he didn't stop punching the bastard. He reminded me of when Henry punched the living devil out of Eric at the locker room with rage and looked like he was gonna kill him after he found out it was him who pushed me. Dominic was gonna kill this guy if he wasn't stopped. Jax and I shared knowing looks and as much as I wanted Eric to suffer so bad right now, I wasn't gonna let Dominic be jailed for murder because of us.
Dominic's fists were flying as he punched wildly, blood smearing his face and clothes. Eric was at a loss, unable to land a single blow, his inexperience and lack of skill working against him. Jaxton moved quickly, trying to intervene, but it was hard to stop the onslaught. What happened next was a blur of fists and limbs, the scene a chaotic mess of movement and sound.
"Dominic, I think he got the memo." I told him but he didn't stop.
"Dom, stop!" Jaxton begged.
We had to pull him off Eric before he could let go, Jaxton angrily dragging him off Eric.
"That is enough!" Jax yelled and he stopped.
"If you ever fucking lay a finger on any of them again, I will send you to your grave!!" Dominic yelled angrily at him.
Eric stood up and fell back to the ground, he stood up again panting and staring at the three of us. He spat out blood, his shirt ripped, he cursed.
He tried coming towards Dominic again, when two strangers interfered and held him back.
"You're bleeding dude, he'll finish you off." One of them said.
Dominic was breathing hard as he glared at Eric. If looks could kill, Eric would be having his funeral tomorrow morning.
"I'LL GET YOU! YOU'LL PAY! I'LL FINISH YOU GUYS OFF! I SWEAR!" He kept shouting like a descendant of the joker, like he was mad.
"Good luck with that, Gaston." I told him, a hand behind my head.
"Let's finish it now, dick!" Dominic replied.
"Let's go," Jax said, placing his hand on Dominic's chest, trying to prevent him from going further. "Please."
Dominic kept protesting while Jax and I held him back, he'd finish Eric off, I knew that.
"Let's just go, you already beat him enough. Let's go!" Jax said, I could feel the anger in his voice.
Wait, why was he angry?
Eric shrugged himself out of the men's hold and walked away angrily.
"He's gone now! Are you finally gonna drop it?" Jax asked harshly, I was taken aback by his tone.
"Jaxton." I frowned at him.
"Are you kidding? He was gonna punch you. I just-"
"Let's just go, Dom." He said and walked away. Dominic looked at me and I just gave him the same confused look.
Why was Jaxton acting up? This guy just saved his ass from a punch that I was sure would put him in a coma.
**
Jaxton said nothing to Dominic through out our ride back home. We bought another chocolate ice cream and pickles for mom before we went home.
"Jax." Dominic called once we got home, he didn't even need directions to our place which means he has been here before.
"What?" Jax harshly replied, stopping on his heels and twirling to face him.
"Why are you being cold? I just saved your ass from that guy and you're mad at me?"
"I didn't ask for your help! We could have handled it!"
I cocked my brow at him. "We could have? I was already seeing two jaxtons." I told him.
"W-We could have—"
"Yeah sure, with Dylan on the floor and that asshole's fist close to your face. Yeah, you guys were handling it pretty well." Dominic replied.
"You shouldn't have! I didn't ask you to okay," Jaxton yelled. "You got in a fight with that jerk and you don't know what he's capable of. You could have just stayed away cause we didn't need your fucking help! You didn't have to interfere at all but you don't know how to stop, do you?" Jax tone was cold.
"Jaxton, what the fuck? Did the punch reset your brain or is there something going on, cause why are you being mean to him? You know you could be at the hospital right now, if it wasn't for him? God knows, I could barely get up to help you when he was about to kiss you face with his fist." I told him.
Jax looked at me, he swallowed hard, said nothing and just walked into the house.
Well, then.
"Is he kidding?" Dominic looked confused. "W-Why was he..."
"I'll—I'll talk to him." I sighed. I didn't understand why he was acting up. "Thank you again for saving our asses."
He smiled."It's.. It's fine, I'm glad I was at the right place at the right time."
"You wanna come in?"
He shook his head. "Nah, I'll just go home. I guess he doesn't wanna see me." He frowned, looking at the door.
"I'll see you some other time then." I patted his shoulder, he nodded and got into his car while I walked into my house.
"Oh my God!" Mom exclaimed as I walked in, startling me. Her face filled with shock. "Your lip is bruised." She said as she walked away from Jaxton and walked towards me.
I frowned. "Is it?" I touched it and regretted it as I felt a stinging pain.
"What happened?" Dad asked from the table, where he sat with Jax. A frown on his face.
"Eric happened." I sighed.
"That fucking asshole!"
"Bonnie!" Dad called to warn her about her language.
She didn't reply and pulled me to the table. "Look what he did to my babies faces. I knew we would have put him in jail. Ugh. That bastard! He needs to be taught a big lesson."
"Mom, it was nothing. We're fine." I said and sat down.
It was everything.
"Matt, could you please get the first aid kit?" Mom asked.
He nodded and went to get it.
"The asshole got taught a lesson though." I shrugged. "Jaxton's friend came at the right time and he beat the crap out of Eric."
"Well, that's good."
"I'll be upstairs." Jax said and stood up, walking away.
"Is he-Is he okay?" Mom asked, concern in her voice.
I shrugged. "He's been acting off. I'll...I'll take to him later." I said softly.
Mom treated my lip and later went up to take care of Jaxton's face that received iron man's punch, it wasn't that bad though which means Eric didn't want to ruin his face like he wanted to ruin mine.
I walked towards Jaxton's room, about twenty minutes later when I was sure he had calm down. I knocked and pocked my head in. "Hey."
He was sitting on his bed, going through his phone. He looked up at me and replied with the same hey.
"Can I come in?"
He nodded. "Sure."
I walked in, closing the door behind me and went to sit beside him on his bed. He had a little round injury close to his left eye that was a result of Eric's punch.
"You okay?" I asked softly.
He put down his phone and sighed. "I guess."
"I'm sorry about what that jackass did to your face." I said as I examined it.
He laughed. "He gave you a cut on the lip too and your head and your face. Love, you are no match for that boy."
"His fist is one that came from the gods."
Jaxton laughed again. "That is true, but our words stung the most and you can throw a punch as well."
I beamed. "I try."
"Besides, I couldn't just stand there like the weakling I am. I had to do something and truthfully, you're rubbing off in me. I mean, I can't believe I said those things."
I grinned. "You said what was right and what you knew was the truth. I'm proud of you and I'm glad I'm doing a good job making you like me."
He gave me a disgusted look. "I don't wanna be you."
I scowled and punched his shoulder lightly, making him laugh. "Ass."
We both laughed.
"So, let's talk about Dominic."
His smile vanished. "No."
"Why did you say what you said? He was only trying to help."
He sighed again. "He shouldn't have."
"We would both be in a coma, well...with Eric of course, cause there is no way I would be in a coma and he would be awake. So, we all would have been in a hospital if it was not for Dominic and-"
"And I don't care!" He snapped, he stood up and walked over to his closet.
I frowned. "Jaxton, what is wrong? You're being a brat right now, you didn't even say thank you or something."
"Oh really?" He turned to me. "I didn't want him fighting Eric at all, I didn't want him fighting for us, for me."
"Why?"
"Because I don't want to see him hurt! Every punch he took felt like I was the one taking it. He was getting hurt because of me, he came to my recuse and I don't want to be a problem. I don't want him fighting my battles for me cause at the end he'll get hurt." He yelled. "W-We all don't want him to fight for us and get hurt. I mean he's all Meghan has and his mom needs him and those punches Eric three, you felt it. They can reset a man's brain." He sighed.
"I'm a mess," Jaxton sighed, his eyes downcast. "Eric is a fucking dangerous asshole who hates you and well me, and I know we can't handle Eric but again, he is a maniac who should be in a mental hospital. He'll hurt Dominic. I can't let that happen - it would be my fault." Jaxton's voice caught, and he struggled to keep going. "What if he cuts him? What if he comes back with more people to beat him up? I just can't bear the thought." Jaxton's hands shook as he clenched them into fists.
My eyes widen with understanding. In that moment, I realized that Jaxton really did care for him, that the thought of Dominic being hurt made him feel sick. It wasn't just anger he was feeling, it was something more. He felt a strong connection to Dominic, one that went beyond mere friendship. He just couldn't explain it or maybe he didn't know because he was still scared of being hurt by a Russian mentally unstable man. But what I knew for sure was that Jaxton didn't want anything bad to happen to Daddy Dom, he may have felt a sense of protection for the man who protected him.
"Why are you smiling?" Jaxton asked with a bewildered look.
"Huh?" I didn't realize I was smiling at all, I instantly stopped smiling. "I just, I guess I understand you." I cleared my throat. "You're right, he shouldn't have interfered so we could both die and go to hell." I said as I nodded.
"Why hell? Why not heaven?"
"We're gay, don't you hear the preachers when they scream 'God hates gay people, gay people will go to hell for all eternity. Repent! Repent' ?" I rolled my eyes.
He laughed. "Yeah, well if we're going to hell, then I am sure they are too cause I'm pretty sure it's written in the bible somewhere 'Judge not'." He said and I chuckled.
"One reason I don't go to church. They preach one thing and do the opposite. I mean they say we should love our neighbors like ourselves but they're the first to condemn gay people, its just sad."
"Nah, it is love everyone except gay people,"
"Or black people." I shrugged.
"Or women who do not wanna be backbones for men. Religion is a mess."
"Tell me about it." He rolled his eyes. "I got kicked out of my church cause they found out I was gay," he beamed. "I'm not gonna hide myself." He sighed. "You said something about you having a backup plan for Eric when he threatened you, since when?"
I snorted. "Boy, I have no plans for him. I was just bluffing, I've been busy and he hasn't even crossed my mind." I smiles. "I just had to make him think, I have some crazy evil tricks up my sleeves."
Jax chuckled. "Always the mastermind."
"And you, since when did you become the school's vice president and have the power of expelling students?" I arched my brow at him.
He shrugged. "You're not the only one who can threaten someone." He smiled.
I laughed. "Nice one."
"Also, you may have been scared for Dominic but your response wasn't the right one." I said. Jaxton looked down in guilt and sighed.
"I'll be right back, I need to take a shower." He said and walked into his bathroom. Once he shut the door, I picked up his phone, thankfully it wasn't locked yet. I searched for Dominic's number on his contact list and copied it down on my phone, I canceled the app from showing on minimize and that's when I saw four missed calls at the top of the screen, I checked and behold it was the same guy whose number I just stole.
"You're so stubborn, Jax." I sighed and put down his phone before dashing out of his room.
I dialed his number once I walked into my room, closing the door behind me, placing it close to my ear as it rang.
"Hello?"
"Dominic, hey. It's Dylan."
"Oh, hey. What's up?"
"I'm okay?"
"And Jax? Did you...figure out why he was being cold to me? He's not answering my calls."
I nodded as i sat down on my bed. "Yeah, I saw."
"Huh?"
"Look, I need to see you tomorrow."
He was quiet for a few seconds. "See me? Why? Is everything okay? Is Jax okay?" He asked all at once.
I smiled once I heard the worry I'm his voice when he mentioned Jax's name. "Yeah, everything's fine but...its about Jaxton and I wanna talk to you about him."
"Uh, okay."
"Good. Meet me at Heaven on Earth's smoothie shop by six o'clock tomorrow."
"Is it...urgent?"
"I wouldn't call you by this time if it ain't."
"Uh, sure. Okay, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Good," I grinned. "Oh and um, do not tell Jax I called you."
"Why?"
"Just-m—do as I say."
"Uh..kay then."
"See you tomorrow, bye." I beamed and hanged up.
"Time for a love match, operation Daxton." I smiled at myself for thinking of the perfect ship name. "Daxton."
"I'll get you! you'll pay! I'll finish you guys off! I swear!"
My smile disappeared as Eric's threat was on repeat in my head.
"Another trouble." I said and took out the pocket knife in my back pocket.
Was I really about to use this?
***
"My face ain't that bad right?" Jax asked as we walked into the school.
"Nah!" I shook my head at him, it wasn't that bad but it was bad. He had a purple bruise and I wasn't gonna tell him it was bad so he wouldn't feel bad. "It's all okay."
"Guys!" Raven called with a smile, we looked ahead and spotted her. She walked towards us with that smile and once she saw our faces, she let out a loud gasp as her eyes widen. "What happened? Jaxton, look at your face!" She said and placed her hand on his cheek, moving it to the side to take a better look at it. "Who ruined your beautiful face?"
Jax scowled at me.
"It's not that bad."
"Are you kidding?" Raven's brow cocked. "I know its not as bad as the time Henry almost made you blind but this is damn something."
I glared at her, trying to tell her to shut up.
"You said it wasn't that bad!" Jax said and glared at me.
"I...Raven's just exaggerating." I let out a forced chuckle.
"No, I'm not e-"
I dragged her hair and she let out a loud scream. "See, its nothing." I shrugged.
She punched my shoulder and tried to refix the hair that wasn't even scattered. "Jerk."
Jax sighed and walked to his locker, I followed and walked to mine.
"What happened to both of you? Who the fuck did you boys fight?"
"Eric." Jax and I replied.
Raven didn't say anything and so we looked at her and saw her shocked expression.
"Eric fucking Phillips? The same Eric who-"
"Yup!" I nodded and took out a textbook from my locker.
"What? How? Where? When?" She asked at the same time.
Jax and I explained what happened as we rested our backs on our locker while facing her.
"That asshole." She sighed. "I'd cut his balls off if I could."
I looked around me and noticed every student in this school had their eyes on their phone and was giggling about something or talking about whatever they were looking at.
"Why is everyone so interested in their phones this morning?" I curiously asked.
"I'm also wondering the same thing." Jax said as he also looked around.
Raven just smiled. "You guys haven't seen it, huh?"
"Seen what?" I asked with a frown.
"You guys should be checking the school site."
"I turned off my phone last night cause I needed to study." Jax said and took out his phone.
Or you were ignoring Dominic's calls.
"I just never check it." I said and took mine out. Jax and I both checked the school site and my jaw dropped. "Oh. My. God."
"I know." Jax's eyes were as wide as mine.
"Did she really?"
Raven shrugged.
"This is a photo of Quinn and Mr. Harry, our mathematics teacher kissing. Is she," he gasped. "She's having an affair with him?"
"He's like forty." I zoomed in on the photo.
"He got fired already." She tsked. "Words does fly."
"How did...Who took this photo? How, oooh look at the comments." I gasped. "There is more than a thousand comments here."
"You!" A loud feminine voice called out, we all turned to our left and saw Quinn matching towards us with anger.
Why was she coming here?
She had been crying, her eyes were red but her makeup looked untouched. "You did this, didn't you? You posted that photo." She said while glaring at Raven.
Huh?
Raven frowned. "What are you talking about?"
"You posted that photo, you bitch." She sneered, students were already gathering us and watching the girls.
Raven chuckled. "I did nothing." She shrugged. "But whoever did, I do have to thank them."
"You got him fired and you've ruined me."
Raven folded her arms smoothly while smiling, not even fazed by her loud angry voice. "Did you want to continue your affair with him? I feel really bad for him, I do. But like I said, I didn't post that photo and would have to thank the person."
She rose her hand to slap Raven but Raven caught it in the air. "Don't even think about it." She tightened her grip on Quinn's hand. "I really don't want slut print on my face." She said and let go off Quinn's hand.
"You insulted my friend and called him names cause he dated a man who was nine years older than him, and you? You're dating a man who is old enough to be your father."
"Shut up."
"Aren't you ashamed?" She continued, ignoring Quinn. "He's twice the age of that man Jax dated, which you humiliated him for."
Quinn gulped. "I don't have time for this."
"But you should," Jax spoke and walked towards her, he stood in front of her with folded arms and a smirk on his face. "Look at how helpless you look, it hurts doesn't it? When someone digs into your life eh? When someone tells one of your darkest secrets." He laughed at her face. "And here I thought I was worse, you're the real slut here. Everyone knows you as a slut, legs as that of the arms of an airplane. Never closed. You opened it for a teacher as well."
"Shut your whore mouth, you-"
"What?" He interrupted her. "Are you gonna call me a sick twisted faggot again? A slut?" He coked his brow at her. "Weak? Disgusting? A low life? Aren't those the words you called me at the cafeteria that day when you thought you won?" He smirked. "How does it feel to be everything you called me?"
She didn't reply and just stared at him.
"Just look how quickly the turned have tables." I said with a sigh and looked at her. "Look who suddenly is the weak one now, isn't it amazing how the glass slipper also happened to fit your feet?" I gasped. "Calling you a slut would be me slut shaming and I really don't wanna do that to you despite you having calling Jaxton all sort of names in the slut slur book." I said. "I would also call you a disgrace to women because you do give them a bad name, and no, not because of what you just did which is also a big crime but because you are a shitbag and a homophobic, blonde, cock sucking dimwit." I said and she swallowed.
"You really thought you were gonna win this one, didn't you?" I sighed. "Poor thing." I pouted. "You see, Quinn, I think it is really funny how you shamed Jaxton and said all sort of things about him just to humiliate him when you, you were also sleeping with an older man. How did you even summon the courage to do that? Curse and humiliate someone for doing the exact same thing you were doing? Your eggs must be made of steel." I shook my head at her.
Quinn looked like she was gonna cry, but she kept a straight face, forcing herself not to, a flash of regret passed through her eyes.
"You humiliated one of us, you created a fight among us and I give you credits for that, seriously." Raven chuxkled. "But now, you're receiving double the humiliation. Look around you, everyone is taking a video of this very moment to make sure its last a lifetime." She giggled, and indeed they were, most of the students had their phones out. "Don't ever come for me or my friends ever." Her smiley face went into a glare.
Quinn swallowed hard and pushed her hair back. "This-This isn't over." She said, anger in her eyes.
Jaxton took a step towards her, a smile printed on his face. "Oh, love. I think it is." He said.
She glared at him for the longest time, looked at me, then Raven and stormed off.
"That was easy." Raven said with a shrug.
"You okay?" I smiled at Jaxton.
"Y-Yeah, I guess. I feel so much better." He chuckled softly.
"She'll think twice before coming for you next time." I patted his back
"I just wonder who posted that photo." Jaxton said, his brows knitting in curiosity.
"Me too, I wanna hug that person." I chuckled. "But she has so much enemies. Tsk Tsk."
Just then the bell rang.
"Later, losers." Raven said and walked away.
**
I was at lunch with my best friends and Jon as well in the cafeteria. I was laughing so hard as I read the mean comments on the school site.
"Stop laughing." Jon said as he laughed at the way I was laughing.
"I'm sorry, these comments are quite funny. Listen," I looked back at my phone. "Quinn is attracted to anything that has a penis, animals are not an exception." I read out.
"That's cold." Jon chuckled.
"This one says, Quinn shamed Jaxton for being with an older man, then went to one two times the age of the man Jaxton dated."
Jaxton sighed. "Can they not bring me up again"
"Everyone's also supporting you, Jaxton." I said as I scrolled through the comments.
"That's true." Jon said, looking at his phone. "People are siding with you and apologizing for what they said and calling you a sweetheart and all that."
Jax's brow rose. "Seriously?"
I nodded and gave him my phone to read the comments and boy, was he happy as he read them. "Don't be happy, they are fake as fuck. People are so quick to switch up, they have more than two faces." I said.
"No wonder, people kept saying they support me and are sorry as if I had cancer and was dying tomorrow."
"Never completely trust anybody, one minute they are cruel to you and the next minute they are singing songs of praises and the worst part is, it is always based on some rumour because they don't even know you, correct?" I turned to Jon.
"Absolutely." He nodded.
"Well whoever did this is a genius, he or she is a good person and was tired of Quinn's drama." Jon said with a chuckle.
"Yeah, true" Raven said with a smile.
I cocked my brow at her suspiciously, she's just been smiling and wasn't really surprised or stuff. She was super cool and knew Quinn was gonna come fight her, she sent that photo. This was what she meant by we'd see what she'd do today.
"Oh. My. God."
"What?" They all asked.
"I am so fucking slow, Jesus."
"W-What?" Jaxton questioned.
"Raven posted it." I said while staring right at her with my mouth open.
"No, I didn't." She denied and ate a berry, the smile never left her face.
"Why do you think she did it?" Jax asked.
"Uh, don't you remember what she said to us yesterday? When she didn't even say anything to that plastic when she kept saying trash about us."
Jax thought about it for a second and let put a loud gasp before looking at her. "You posted it."
"You don't have any proof I did." She said with a smirk.
"But you did, of course. How did I not realize this earlier." I huffed.
Raven chuckled. "I just showed her a tip of the iceberg, no one messes with me or my friends." She flipped her hair.
"How did you...How did you know about their affair?" Jon asked curiously.
"There is no secret under the sun, Raven always finds out everything about everyone. I saw them." She smirked evilly.
"You know everything? What colour is my underwear right now?" Jon asked and Raven gave him a death glare.
"S-Sorry." He cleared his throat.
"You are evil," I said with a big smile. "I love you."
"Well, thank you sweetie and now all that is left is those members of Jaxton's club, coming back to beg him." She grinned.
"You think that will happen?" Jon asked with furrowed brows.
"Of course." She snorted. "Just watch."
"But-"
"Hey, Jaxton." A female voice called. We all looked up and saw those friends of Jax, you remember those ones that always went to Jax whenever there was a problem with the LGBT club? The redhead girl and that boy who follows her around? Yup, them. Raven was right, they were here now. I hated both of them, they didn't support Jax after what happened. I looked at Jon who was surprised that Raven's prediction happened super fast like I was, I looked from him to her and she just smirked and winked.
'Let's play a game with them' she mouthed.
I nodded.
"Steven, Ashley. Hey" Jax greeted with a soft voice.
"Hi, Dylan." Ashely waved at me.
I gave her a bored look. "What do you guys want?" I asked harshly.
Their smiles slowly disappeared at the sound of my tone.
"Dylan, be nice" Jax said.
I scoffed.
"He doesn't need to be," Raven said and looked at both of them, she rested her elbows on the table and placed her jaw on her hands. "Let me guess, you both came here to apologize to Jaxton, hmm?"
"W-We just w-wanted to um.."
"Why can't you speak now? You guys were fast enough to kick him out of your club, sorry. His. Club." I said and stared at the girl who was about to speak.
"Listen bro, we just wanna.."
I snorted. "I'm not your bro, never was and never will."
"We just wanna apologize."
"We know." Raven and I said at the same time but didn't take our eyes off the kids in front of us. Ashley was definitely uncomfortable, scared maybe and kept dragging down the sleeves of her sweater.
"Let's get one things straight," Raven sighed. "You guys aren't real friends, you kicked Jaxton out the second you heard about his relationship with a man older than him. You didn't care to know how he felt when you guys did what you did, I don't want you guys near him at all cause we just love fake people, don't we all." She sarcastically said.
"That's why w-we wanna make things right." Steven nodded.
"Listen here, Stephanie and Ashanti." I let out a sigh. "I thought you guys were cool and actually good friends. I thought you were gonna be there for Jaxton when he needed you guys. All of you, but what did you do? You guys left him. You both did."
"We couldn't do anything," Ashley sighed. "They wanted him out for the health of the club."
I slammed my fist on the table, scaring them. "You guys are sick, you know. The health of the club? Fine. when he was kicked out, did you both reach out to him? No? Okay."
"I think its time for you to get rid of that fake red hair, Andy."
"A-Ashley." She corrected.
"Don't care." Raven rolled her eyes.
"Guys, let hear them out." Jax said. He clearly wasn't understanding what we were doing.
"We just want him back in the club, he's the founder and we miss him and we just...we are all sorry. We had to tell the principal that if he doesn't come back then we're shutting down the club." Steven said.
Raven and I looked at each other for a brief second and then at both of them.
"No." She said firmly.
"What?" Jaxton and his friends all said.
I kicked Jaxton from under the table, getting his attention and widen my eyes, telling him to shut up and relax.
He was hesitant at first but nodded.
"H-He has to come back."
"And I said no." Raven shrugged.
"Jaxton isn't coming back to that club that preaches one thing but foes another and even kicks out the founder and overthrown him." I shrugged as well.
"Please, I'm begging you." Steven joined his hands together. "Jaxton, we're sorry for what we did to you. We're really sorry, it wasn't our choice to kick you out. I'm sorry. We're sorry."
Jax looked at their pleading faces and back at us.
"Well, Jaxton has the final say." Raven sighed.
Jax looked at me and I gave him a small nod, he looked back at them and cleared his throat. "I don't want to come back," their faces paled. "But, because I see you guys need me. I'll be there. I don't abandon friends."
They both grinned.
"Oh, thank you Jaxton." The girl squealed.
"One more thing, Andy and Sebastian. If anything happens to Jax or you guys repeat this, I'll personally close down that club." Raven threatened. "I promise you both."
They gulped.
"Won't happen."
"Never." The boy agreed.
"Good." Raven flashed them a smile.
"We'll go share the news." The girl squealed and they both left.
"Wow." Jon chuckled. "You guys are good."
I beamed. "The power of friendship."
"Thanks, guys." Jax smiled. "I didn't even understand at first but, thank you all so much." He said and turned to Raven. "Especially you."
"Stop thanking us, I just did what I felt was right and humiliating to Quinn. I knew they'd give you your tour spot back, you are such a nerd and I love you." She said while Jaxton snickered.
"What an angel in devil's clothing. " I smiled at her.
***
We all walked out of the school, finally school had closed and it had been a really fun day actually, or maybe because of the drama that had happened, I hadn't stopped smiling.
Raven sighed. "It's almost summer, It's like I can smell it already." She grinned.
I laughed. "Yeah, I can't wait to tell the school goodbye, go home and watch horror movies for 20hours in a day and maybe also read horror stories online. I always like the ones that have true life story on them." I said and Raven shook her head at me.
"Voldemort." She muttered.
"What are your plans for summer?" Jon asked.
"Summer is like three weeks away, there's still a lot of time." Jax said as we walked
"And homecoming is in two weeks." Raven smiled widely. "Those are the times I cherish so much."
"I wish I knew why." I sarcastically replied.
"Shut up." She chuckled.
We all laughed and then, I suddenly spotted Johnathan flirting with a girl while standing under a tree. He tucked her hair behind her ear and she smiled widely at something he was saying, her cheeks turning red. I nudged Raven and tilted my head towards them, she saw them as well and looked back at me. I gave her a small nod which she returned, before putting a smile on her face and turning to the boys.
"Okay guys, you both go ahead. We'll meet you guys at the parking lot." Raven and I halted.
"Where are you both off to?" Jax asked as he and Jon turned to face us.
"I forgot something and I want Dylan to accompany me back." Raven lied.
"What did you forget?" Jaxton inquired.
"Tampons." Raven and I said in unison.
Jax nodded. "Well, okay then, we'll wait there." He said, buying the lie immediately.
Jon on the other hand, didn't look like he bought our lie. He just stared at us suspiciously. While Jax was innocent, Jon was different.
"Come on, Raven." I looked away from Jon and walked back into the school with her.
"You think he bought it?" Raven asked as we walked.
"Yeah, he did. Jon? Not sure."
"Doesn't exactly matter anyways."
We both waited and watched till they left then we rushed out and walked towards Johnathan and his new prey, I took out my phone and turned the recording on, hiding it in between my books.
"Hello, dear friend." I put on a smile on my face and stood right next to the girl, while Raven stood at her other side.
The girl looked at me and back at Jon and then me again, she seemed confused and i knew it had to do with the fact that I was the one who poured the drink on this same guy I sarcastically called friend.
"I will advice you to go now, sweetie, before he does something crazy." I told the girl.
"Excuse us." Raven said to her and she quickly obeyed.
"What do you both want?" He asked with a sigh.
"To talk to you, dear Johnathan." I smiled at him. "I haven't seen you all day."
"I've been busy." He said dryly.
"We've all been, I would think you were avoiding us. Right, Raven?"
She nodded. "Mmhmm, that's what people like him do. Hide."
"I'm not still sure why you guys are here."
"My grandma used to say, thieves, politicians, murderers, deceivers and....rapists belong in hell. They should be there first, before any other sinner." I flashed him a smile, I saw him tense up a bit at the word rapist.
"Look, I don't know what she told you but I-"
"Why would you think she told me something?" I pouted.
"Like I said, he was present at that moment." Raven beamed. "You wanna know what happens to people like you?"
"They suffer, they get tormented, they die." I finished up. "And one of these or maybe four out of three would be your fate, Johnathan Smith." I flashed him a smile. "I must say you look quite handsome today, just a little bit of blood on you and it would definitely suit you, don't you think?"
Johnathan smirked. "You are something, you know, Dylan?" And I know you are up to no good."
"Oh, love. You are always suspecting me for anything. And so you know, I know you just as much as you think you know me." I flashed him a smile. "Goodbye, Johnathan." I said once I noticed the shift in his facial expression.
"Let the countdown begin." Raven said and we both turned and began to walk away.
I looked at her and smiled. "He's getting scared, we're doing a good job."
"You think?"
"I saw it in his eyes."
"Well then, we continue. That bastard needs to suffer."
"Oh, he definitely will."
Let the countdown begin. What they didn't know was that I wasn't just counting one thing. I was counting everything.
