Chapter 84
Dylan's POV
"And I have a date tonight but this certain boy doesn't fucking have anything to wear." I groaned as I stared at all the clothes on the floor.
Raven, Jaxton and Jon were all in my room and on my bed watching me lose my shit instead of helping me.
"Why can't you just wear anything?" Jon asked with a shrug and we all shot him a look.
"Jon, the difference between you and I is that I have a huge sense of fashion when it comes to occasions and you...don't really have any."
He pouted. "That was harsh."
Raven shook her head. "It wasn't, it's the truth."
"And besides it's Henry. It's their first date. Denry's first date can't be based on 'wear anything' it has to be perfect." Jax said firmly.
Raven and Jon frowned.
"What's...Denry?" Jon asked, confused.
I sighed and looked back at my closet. "It's the stupid ship name Jaxton came up with ten years ago for Henry and I, even before we told each other how we felt. Shitty right?"
"It's actually not, I kinda dig it." I turned to look at him and saw him smiling. "Think you can come up with one for Gwen and I?" He asked and Jaxton gasped.
"Gladly! I just need to think!" He said excitedly.
"Guys! I called you all here to help me out, not think of ship names and make me think of murder now, okay? Thank you."
"One question," Raven sat up. "Do you know where you're going?"
"I have no idea where we're going, I really don't know. He didn't tell me and I don't know if to dress up in a suit or....jeans."
"I say jeans." Jon rose his hand.
"Yeah, don't do the suit thing." Jaxton shook his head.
"Uggh!" I grumbled in frustration.
"Why don't you try to get into Henry's head and use what you know about him to....figure it out?" Jax said with a shrug.
"Soooo, you mean stay at home then." I furrowed my brows.
Jaxton sighed. "I've tried and I give up." He said and then his phone beeped, he picked it up from his side and once he looked at it, he smiled.
"Dominic?" I asked with a knowing smile.
He looked up at me and tried to hide his smile. "Yeah, we're going to the hospital together to break the news to Astrid" He said and got up. "Oh, and that means, guess who isn't single anymore." He grinned.
"Finally." I smiled.
"Wow, I'm happy for you dude." Jon smiled. "Now we're the only ones in our sad group who ain't single."
Raven and I turned to him. "I could kill you tonight, you know? And then you'd be the dead one in the group." She matter of fact threatened calmly.
He frowned. "I uh- I'm gonna....go too." He said and got up too.
"What? No!" I pouted.
"Sorry, love. I have somewhere I need to be and Raven is just a sadist."
"Thank you." She gave him a smile.
"You ready?" Jaxton asked after putting in his shoes.
"A sec." He said and began putting on his, before standing. "I promise to make this up to you, Dylan." Jon said and walked over to me, giving me a hug. "You'll look great in anything."
"Whatever."
"Don't be mad at me too, I will aso make it up to you." Jax said and gave me a half hug. "I wish I could be here now since I've always waited for this moment. I'm so sorry."
I smiled faintly. "I'm not mad, besides you both have a life too. Come on, go you slying mother fucking best friends of mine." There might have been a bit of ice in my voice.
Jax and Jon glanced at each other before waving and muttering their pathetic 'sorrys' as they walked out the door.
"Well, I guess now you're stuck with me." She shrugged.
I gave her a look.
"Yeah, you're planning on becoming a fashion designer, I guess you're my best choice." I sighed.
She patted the spot next to her and I walked over to the bed and sat beside her.
"You really like him, huh?"
"What gave it away?"
"This."
I chuckled. "I really do like him. He's not as bad as everyone thinks, you know?" I said and looked at her. "I mean, it's not his fault he's the way he is. He's more like me, he's like you, he's like Jaxton. He's like all of us." I shrugged.
Her brows knitted. "How so?"
"Your not so caring family made you the way you are and so you became a mean bitch so people wouldn't know about your crisis or care, so they won't pity you. It's your only way of coping." I explained and she looked down at her hands.
"And Jaxton, it's the whole volunteering thing he does. He didn't do them cause he initially wanted to, it was to stay away from home at every chance he could and to feel wanted because his mother never made him feel that way, I guess that's why he wants to help people." I smiled.
Even though there was a side to him the others didn't know.
"And then, me. The world made me this way. I mean I was a crazy child, so says my grandmother and everyone who knew me then but I think it all became worse, like as bad things kept happening so did my evil intentions. I felt everything that happened to me was everyone's fault. I hated everything and everyone and thought they deserved to be miserable as well. And then there's Henry? He's going through something, he went through his own trauma as a kid and that formed him into what he is right now. He's not a bad person. While some people have no reason to become a bully and be assholes, some are just trying to hide and heal. Not that it's justified to be a bully."
Raven nodded. "I understand."
"I didn't use to understand why people were scared of Henry, why guys didn't try to make him mad and when they did, they prayed for death. I didn't understand that other mystery part of Henry, but now I do. They see him as a monster, like he's the grim reaper who comes for souls but he's not that. He's more like a wolf, as scary and dangerous as they can be, they also protect the people they love and care for. That's Henry." I smiled. "Maybe he was the grim reaper outside, maybe that was what he wanted people to see, or maybe that was what his anger made him. But the boy's got a heart, it's just covered in ice and so he can't feel everything, but he's got a heart."
"And what about you? Didn't yours get ripped out?"
"I think I prefer the darkness inside of me, as much as I don't like to feel everything, I do feel everything. And I guess that's what I hate about myself."
"Me too." She muttered. "We need a vacation."
I chuckled. "Away from this godforsaken town."
She chuckled slightly. "Anywhere but Eastwood."
I was about to reply when I heard faint noises that seemed more like shouting. "Do you hear that?" I asked with knitted brows.
"Hear what?"
"War." I said and stood up, heading for my door with Raven behind me. As we walked down the stairs, the voices became nearer and clearer. Who was mom yelling at?. I looked at Raven with a confused look and she had the same on her face as we rushed down the stairs.
"What's going on?" I asked as I walked towards the door where my parents were, and right in our house stood the mother of sin.
Daphne.
And right beside her was a man probably in his forties in a black suit, glasses and carrying a briefcase.
"It's nothing sweetie," mom sighed.
"You two, again?" Raven's brow rose as she stared at Johnathan's mother and the man.
"What the fuck are you doing here? First Raven's house and now mine? What is this? Human chess?"
"Save your sarcasm for someone who gives a shit. I'm only here to pass a message but your mother wouldn't let me see you." She said and shot my mom a look.
"Cause you've got infection and negativity all over you and the more you stay here, the more bad luck we bring to ourselves." Mom retorted.
"Did you maybe think the reason she doesn't want you to see me is probably because I also don't wanna see you or maybe because I don't give a shit what you've come here to say? Your husband could be dying of diabetes and I still would be dancing to Mariah Carey up in my room as my appreciation to the devil for ending his life."
She glared at me. "Watch your tongue, little boy or I'll cut it off for you!"
"Let's see if you don't get your throat slit before you could even think of think of taking a step towards him." Mom threatened and took a step towards her but Dad pulled her back.
"Daphne, you need to leave. You've caused a lot of trouble already. I don't know what we've done to the lord to deserve this punishment of you and your entire family of serpents coming to the same town my family and I moved to for peace!" Dad snorted. "I mean, do we have to give your husband balls for sacrifice just to have that? Cause I'm so ready to chop them off while he's awake and swish plays in the background while I also try to pick a family photo in my head to do a face tattoo of the people he hates most on his body, which of course is our beloved family." Dad said with a maniac smile.
I gasped. "I'd love that." I grinned.
Mrs. Daphne was red with anger and pointed a finger at my father. "I-"
The man in suit stopped her from finishing that sentence by touching her on the shoulder and she obeyed while panting in anger.
"Hi," the man smiled. "I'm Attorney James Finley and I'm Mr. Johnathan's lawyer and I must say that this is a pretty interesting family."
"You're her lawyer and you're letting her speak to us in that manner? We could have her locked up." Dad snickered.
"You're not from here, are you?" I asked.
He smiled. "No, I'm from Seattle."
"Of course." Dad murmured.
"How much are they paying you to try and free that rapist from prison?" Mom asked. "Ten million? Fifteen?"
"I can't disclose such information to you, ma'am."
"My son is not a rapist!" Daphne snarled.
"Yeah and botox is not your secret." Raven retorted, folding her arms and giving her a disgusted look.
"You are the reason he's in jail."
I shook my head. "No, I am." I rose my hand with a smile.
"Okay, you know what? I want you out of my house now or I swear to the heavens I will beat your ass so hard the last time will be regarded as tutorial." Mom threatened and my jaw dropped.
Daphne snorted. "In your condition? All you need is a push."
"Yeah that's what you clearly need, a push....down the stairs." Mom gave her a fake smile.
I giggled. "I'm sorry, Mr. Attorney Jamie Finland."
"It's James Finley."
"Shouldn't you have had her on a leash? Is she supposed to threaten and say stuff like that? Because right now I'm having our conversation recorded for future purposes." I lied and Attorney James gave Daphne a look, a look that said calm down.
"Look, we're not here for trouble." James spoke.
"That's not what it looked like when I got here." I folded my own arms.
"Listen, if you didn't come here to sell and negotiate the price of Johnathan's organs to us then I'm not sure I want you on my property." Dad said with puckered brows.
James blinked and swallowed the lump in his throat as he fixed his glasses. "We're here to pass a message to you," he said and looked at me. "But your parents won't let us get to you."
"What message?" I frowned.
"It doesn't matter, Dylan." Mom said.
"Johnathan wants to see you today."
I scoffed. "What for?"
"I can't say." He shrugged.
"So let me get this straight, you guys are trying to murder me and make it look like an accident." I cocked my brow at them.
James brows knitted in confusion. "W-What? No."
"Sweetie, if we wanted you dead you wouldn't have lived to move here." Daphne snarled.
"You should work on your threats, I'm pretty sure the powerpuff girls could do so much better." I said in a bored tone, not affected by her words a tiny bit.
She seemed fed up with me and angry every second while James looked down to hide the amused smile threatening to show up on his face.
"Why does he want to see Dylan?" Raven asked. "You have to know."
"We don't." James shrugged, finally looking at us. "He just wants to speak with him alone."
Why did he want to talk to me?
"I'm so against the idea by the way cause I don't understand why he's so obsessed with you and fucking wants to see the demon that locked him up in the first place!" Daphne hissed angrily.
"You're welcome by the way." I grinned.
"Oh and mind your words, Daphne, there are kids here." Mom warned.
Daphne chuckled in disbelief. "Are you fucking kidding me? These kids spill more curse words than a gang leader." Her voice rose as she spoke.
"But then we don't rape." Raven said with a smile. "Something I think your son is obsessed with, taking advantage of people."
Daphne's eyes went straight to Raven. "You're just as guilty. You're a slut and you obviously threw yourself at him, you guys only tricked him to say the things he didn't do!" Daphne yelled.
"Mrs. Smith." Her lawyer called.
"Can you even hear yourself?" Raven asked as she looked at her like she was crazy.
"Sounds retarded, don't you agree?" Mom tsked.
"You're in so much denial, it's making you more pathetic, Daphne." Dad said, dryly.
"Yeah, it is really sad." I hissed.
Daphne took a step towards us while muttering curses but James pulled her back and looked at her, he pulled her aside and began speaking to her, we couldn't hear but then she calmed down a little and nodded.
"If only we knew you needed a guard and a leash to keep you in check, I could have gotten you one, years ago." Mom huffed.
Daphne still didn't say anything but I'm sure she had a lot to say and her looks could kill my mom right now, or try.
"You need to understand that we're not forcing you to see him, he just asked us to try and talk to you to come see him since he has some things to say to you that he never got to say." James said with a smile.
"He's not going." Mom said but I just looked at James silently.
"You make it sound like it's important."
He nodded. "Yes, Dylan. It is."
"It's really okay if you don't want to cause I also don't want you going to see him, but then even I can't change his mind about seeing a snake." She sneered at me.
"Call my son a snake one more time and I'll make you see who has the worst venom." Mom warned.
"No need to threaten each other," James said. "I see there's a lot of tension between the two families."
"Oh, it's nothing." Dad shrugged. "I mean, it's not like her son tried to rape my son and his friend who is standing right next to him, or that he made my son's life miserable and threatened Raven's life, or-" he rose a finger. "That he bullied my son back in Seattle which I'm not surprised is where you come from, and even tried to humiliate his other best friend multiple times." Dad chuckled. "Nah, none of this happened at all." He sarcastically replied.
I couldn't help but smile, dad was getting really good at sarcasm.
"Oh," James blinked, in his eyes I could tell he was a little shocked that it was worse than he thought. "Well," he smiled. "I've come to pass my message to you and It's all up to you to go see him and hear him out." He said to me.
"I can't believe you're trying to get a psychotic rapist out of jail?" Raven spoke.
"Money, darling. That's what it does." Mom replied.
James chuckled. "He didn't rape anybody as a matter of fact, did he rape you both?"
"No, but he would have if we didn't escape." I frowned at him.
He shook his head. "Yeah, that story is not convincing enough."
"What?" Raven's brow rose.
"So, you think we made this up?" I couldn't believe my ears.
"There's a lot of hate and bad blood between both families, I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a way to get him out of the way."
"You sound stupid." Raven grimaced.
"Okay, you need to leave my house right now before I beat you to unconsciousness." Dad said, sounding pissed. "You don't come into my house and say these kids are making up lies about being raped, Johnathan is a fucking lunatic, hell, that's an understatement!!" Dad exclaimed.
He smiled. "Don't stress yourself, Mr. Dexwell, anyways we'll be leaving now."
"Are you sure you both don't wanna stay and have some snacks?" Raven asked with a smile. "I know a poison recipe my grandmother taught me." She said and glared at Daphne. "You'll love it."
Daphne shot her a disgusted look and turned, walking out of the door with James behind her, holding back a laugh.
"Fuck them!" Mom said once the door closed. "You," she pointed at me. "I hope you're not thinking of going to see that lunatic."
I grimaced and shook my head. "Of course not."
"Good." She sighed. "Now, I have to spray antibacterial antiseptic around here." She said and walked away feeling irritated.
Dad sighed. "Fucking Smith! Always after us." He said as he walked away as well.
I couldn't help but wonder why Luci wanted to see me. What was so important that he'd send those people to me? I was curious.
"Why would Johnathan want to see you now?' Raven said making me turn to her.
"I'm asking myself the same thing."
She let out a frustrated sigh. "Why do I feel like you are going to go see that psycho in prison?"
I frowned at her. "I'm not going to go see a guy that almost raped the both of us. Thank you but no, he could have partnered with a lot of guys to gang rape me once I step foot inside there." I grimaced.
"When you put it like that, I'm not worried at all." She said with a smile and walked ahead.
"Yeah, like how could you even think I'd want to see that psychopath? No way."
***
Thirty minutes later.
I was sitting in the visiting area, I looked around and to my left was a boy talking to a woman who was crying and nodding to something he was saying, she was way older so it was no doubt she was his mother, plus they had the same hair color.
I looked away and turned to my right and there was a bald man with a tattoo on his neck talking to a woman in a suit who had a folder on the table. Lawyer. Not far from him was another man smiling at the pregnant woman who was sitting across him and smiling sadly and few spaces away from me was a guy whispering angrily to a boy his age.
Prison seems fun, there were so many emotions in the air, I'm sure Johnathan would like it here.
I heard a door open and I looked ahead and saw a cop bringing a cuffed Johnathan in orange jail uniform, he smiled once he saw me but I didn't return it. He was made to sit down and then he was uncuffed.
"I knew you'd come." He said with a smile once the cop had gone.
I know, I know I said I wasn't gonna come here but I couldn't help it. I wanted to know.
"I really didn't want to," I shook my head. "Is that Calvin Klein you're wearing?"
He looked at his jail outfit and back at me with a chuckle. "Very funny."
"I think you'd like it here, it's nice isn't it?"
He shrugged. "It's not that bad."
"Hmm, did you join the rape gang here?" I asked and his face twitched but he just kept smiling.
"I don't join groups."
"Why did you want to see me, Luci?" I hit the nail on the head.
He chuckled. "Luci? And that's short for Lucifer?"
"Wow, you're really smart, you deserve an A." I said with a fake smile. "Now, why am I here?"
"I needed to talk to you."
"About what, Johnny? Shouldn't you be fantasizing about ripping my heart out?"
He shook his head. "Nah, it's you. I forgive you, if it was someone else, they'd be dead by now or in a coma."
It was things like this that he said that got me confused.
"Should I be thankful?"
"I don't expect you to."
"Good."
"You look great."
"You too." He didn't. "Why don't you just tell me why you called me here?"
"You didn't come to check up on me."
I blinked and looked behind me then under the table and back at him. "Are you...talking to me?" I asked and pointed at myself. "You better wake up."
He chuckled. "You have questions for me."
"No, I don't. I just want you to know that I'm happy you're here, you are gonna be here to how long? Eight years? You should be thankful."
"I did what I did for you."
"Bullshit. How does trying to rape my best friend help me? Let's not forget that you also tried that with me."
"And I'm sorry."
"I doubt it. What is it that makes you so sick? That makes you so mad when I'm happy and enjoying life with other people? Why does your blood boil when I'm not miserable and running yo you? Are you jealous that I'm happy and you're not? Cause you can be happy too if you weren't a psychotic rapist. You couldn't do anything right! Jesus, you couldn't even rape right." I huffed. "Failed twice and I'm grateful! What is it that makes you hate me so much!"
"I DON'T-" he shut his eyes and sighed. "-hate you." He said and opened them, his voice calmer. "I care about you."
"You? Have emotions? Yeah, right." I scoffed.
"How can you be so smart and yet really stupid?"
"I don't like that compliment at all."
He snorted. "Yeah, right." I could hear the anger in his voice.
"What is your problem?"
"You! You are my problem!" He snapped and ran a hand through his hair, tiredly.
I blinked, confused. "How am I your problem?"
"Cause you don't understand at all!"
I was confused. "Understand what?"
"That I love you, Dylan." He blurted out.
I was quiet and couldn't find the next words as I stared at him and soon laughed. "Wow, that's your new plan? You love me? You think I'm just gonna fall for that? That's why you called me here? Johnathan, you're incapable of love."
"I'm not! That's what you don't understand! I hate myself for what I did to you, Dylan. But I'm not sorry for wanting you all to myself. I always did and I still do cause you're meant to be mine and mine alone!"
Was he being serious?
"You're kidding. Luci, I don't belong to anyone and there's a thin line between love and obsession, dear sweet Luci."
"You belong to me." He said firmly and clenched his teeth. "We understand each other more than anyone else and that's cause we're meant to be, stormy."
I frowned.
"Your theory is stupid."
"Is it?"
"Extremely but don't worry," I smiled. "I ship you with AIDS."
"You just. Shut. Your. Mouth!" He emphasized angrily and my frown deepened at the threat in his voice. "I've fucking been in love with you for years, since Seattle." He tapped the table as he stared right at me. "But you didn't even know! Ever since I saw you in that spongebob sweatshirt," he remembered that? "I'm crazy about you! That's why I'm always so mad when you're with other people. I hate when they touch you. I hate that they make you happy when I should be the only one who makes you happy, who puts a smile on your face. Who fucking has the right to make you cry, only I should have that power over you because you're mine."
I was shocked by his confession, he sounded like he was on drugs or something but this did kind of make sense. I guess this was why he always kinda spared me and also why he came after me. He was in love with me. When Jaxton, Raven and Jon were saying these to me, I didn't believe them because I knew Johnathan wasn't capable of loving someone. He couldn't. He was a monster who fed on people's misery. I didn't want to believe that the things he felt were jealously towards Henry. He was sick. He wanted to get rid of everyone to be the only one.
"You're nuts." My voice was low. "That's not love, it sounds like you're on drugs. Have you been smoking weed?"
He laughed and hissed. "You know nothing. You know you've hurt me more than I could count, Stormie." It was crazy how he would call me Stormy sometimes and Stormie the other time. "But I always forgive you cause i know it's a mistake and I know you love me too but you just don't realize it yet." He smiled.
"No."
"You're drawn to me! We have this connection, that's why we make the best team, that's why when we fight each other it always has you coming back for more because we're meant to be." He said and held my hand, I quickly pulled my hand away. "If not, then why are you here?" He smirked.
"That isn't love, Johnathan." I said and placed my hands on my lap. "I know I don't know shit about love but I'm certain that once you love someone you don't hurt them. You don't try to make them cry or challenge them. You don't hurt the people they care about like you've fucking done to me." I stated while he shook his head. "That's all you've ever done to me. Make me cry. Made me despise you the more. I don't love you, Johnathan. I could never. You used me. You used my weakness for your own fucking strength cause you're that psychotic! I was a bet. You turned me into your weapon and made me hurt people cause I needed to heel."
"I DIDN'T!" he yelled, but I didn't flinch. "I admit it was a bet at first but I swear to you that I fell for you and went crazy for you but I was ashamed of it. I-I was worried about what the other guys would say and how they'd taunt me for falling for the bet instead. It wasn't supposed to be that way, I wasn't supposed to fall for you."
"So you decided to try and rape me cause that was the only solution. You couldn't get me to sleep with you so you decided to take me by force." I shrugged. "I still can't get that day out of my head by the way." I was pained.
"And I'm sorry, but then I helped you! If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have this character of yours. This strength. I only brought out that inner darkness that you kept hiding, that you covered up. I brought it to life and you know it."
"How is that helping? You tried to rape me. You tried to rape Raven!"
"Fuck that bitch!" He snarled. "All I care about is you. You don't know what it's like when I see them making you laugh the way you do. I used to be the one to do that, to make you laugh and now you wouldn't even look at me."
"Gee, I wonder why." I sarcastically replied.
"And then there's Henry, that fucking asshole that makes you feel the way I once made you did."
I frowned. "You never made me feel the way Henry makes me feel. You made me feel like the only one I should ever run to was you! You were messing with my head! Henry supports me, he doesn't make me want to worship him! He's different."
"He's not! He's just as bad. There's no difference between Henry and I."
"He's a gentleman." I said calmly.
"I'm a gentleman!"
"He's not a rapist."
He went quiet and swallowed. "That fucking asshole stole you away from me."
"He didn't, because I wasn't never yours to begin with. I belong to nobody. You shouldn't even be mad at him, you tried to sleep with him." I stated. "A lot of times if I may add."
"Because I wanted you to hate him, I knew you liked him. I wanted to make you hate him, he's not good enough for you, Dylan. I am the only one who's always here for you all the time! Who is always available. I'm always gonna be there and not those cheap scumbags you call best friends. Maybe if I had slept with Henry, you'd be disgusted by him and then you'd come back to me."
"Hell has to freeze over first."
"Stop!" He slammed his hands on the table, startling me. "You're mine."
"I'm nobody's," I stated. "Except the lord's."
"You don't hate me. You only think you do because of the things I've done but you don't, cause whatever happens, I'm always there for you. I'm in your head. I have done so many horrible things but they've only given you strength. I've hurt you a lot but it made you powerful."
I said nothing.
"You know it's true, you're denying this just like you're denying who you really are. Your friends don't even know who you really are." He laughed, I just stared him as I intertwined my hands. "I know who you Dylan Dexwell is and no one else does, no one really knows who you are."
He was getting to me.
"Henry does."
He laughed loud.
"Henry knows who I am and he accepts me for the demon I am."
"I bet he doesn't know about Connor."
Now it was my turn to laugh. "Oh, but he does. I told him."
"You're lying."
"You could call him and ask him and he'd gladly tell you." I smiled.
He was mad, I could tell. "And Alex?" He asked with a cocked brow and my smile fell.
He smirked. "You didn't tell him about him, did you?" He chuckled while I looked away, feeling the guilt eat me up. "You couldn't. I'm sure if you did, you lied. You didn't tell him how it happened, did you?"
"Fuck you."
"I'd rather do it," he smirked. "It's okay though, I don't judge you for Alex."
"You made me do it."
"Are you sure?"
"It was your fault." I swallowed.
"How do you think he'd feel when he finds out you ruined that boy's life too? Hmm?"
I went quiet.
"I'm not gonna hold you against your sin, if it makes you feel better to put the blame on me then it's fine cause I'll take whatever blame. I'll fight your battles for you like I've always done. Remember, Cory? You hated him so much cause he was mean to you, and when he said those things to you and teased you after our separation-"
"You mean after your attempted rape?" I corrected.
"I," he continued. "Dealt with him myself cause he was disrespecting you. Disrespecting me. Whoever hurts you, hurts me."
I frowned in confusion and then realization hit me. "It was you." My voice came out low.
He smiled and relaxed on his seat.
"They said they didn't know who did it but it was you. You were the one who beat him with a bat and made him have surgery. You were the one who put him in the hospital for seven months."
He smiled the more. "Things I do for you." He sighed.
"He was your best friend."
"He hurt you and bragged about it." He stated.
"You bragged about a night that never happened but I didn't bash your skull with a bat, even though it was tempting!" I was horrified, but deep down I didn't feel so much pity for Cory since I did hate him. I was just surprised at the length Johnathan could go. He and Cory were best friends, the best of the best and yet he did that to him.
"I honestly won't mind if you hit me with a bat." He shrugged and leaned forward again. "That was me showing my loyalty to you. That I care. And when Raven didn't appreciate your friendship and was mad at you as I heard, I was pissed. Pissed that she was your best friend and was mad at that moment for God knows what and I knew you were upset about it and she even threw herself at me, made it easier. Every time I'd ask about her fight with you she'd wave it off like you didn't matter and it pissed me off!" He said angrily. "Jaxton too didn't even trust you, all he needed was a little convincing from me and he was running to mommy."
"You are manipulative, that's your biggest weapon."
"I'm not perfect but thank you." He smiled and I rolled my eyes. "He should have had more faith in you, my love."
"Don't call me that."
He nodded. "I understand, I'll give you time."
"You shouldn't," I swallowed. "Move on, do whatever you want. I don't love you, Johnathan, never did and never would."
"You're lying."
"I'm not." I said and stood up. "I should leave, I have a date to prepare for."
His jaw clenched as his brows knitted. "Who are you going on a date with?"
I smiled. "Take a lucky guess."
He said nothing and quickly gripped my wrist tightly, I let out a little gasp at the sudden movement and frowned. His eyes flashed with so much rage and right now, I wasn't sure I was with Johnathan but someone else.
"I will kill him." He sneered as he tightened his grip on my wrist.
"Johnathan! Stop!" I said and tried to move away but he wouldn't let go.
"You are mine! MINE ALONE!" He yelled, sounding like a total mad man, he really was losing it.
Seconds later, the guards ran to us and pulled his hand away, he tried to reach for me but they pulled him back and handcuffed him. I just stared at him in horror and I swear my heart beat increased.
"I'll get out of here and I'll kill him, I swear!" He yelled as they took him away. I turned and quickly walked away while rubbing my wrist, avoiding the eyes of all the inmates and the people around.
Something wasn't right with him, I guess this place was just as bad. It was messing with his head.
"You okay?" Jon asked once I got into his car.
I strapped my seatbelt and sighed. "I'm fine. I shouldn't have come here."
"I told you."
"Just...take me home please and, no one hears about this."
He nodded and started the car. "Are you sure you're okay?"
I turned to him and faked a smile. "Yeah."
"So, what'd he say?" He asked as he drove.
"Nothing important." I said and looked out the window.
***
"You're wearing that?" Raven asked incredulously.
It was ten minutes to eight and my date was in that exact ten minutes, I was so fucking excited that he asked me out. I have to admit it. Henry asked me out and I was going crazy about it but I was also nervous about this. I couldn't help but feel that way, it was our first date.
"No! No! I am not letting you talk me into changing my top for the seventh time! This isn't the 'how do you look' show." I replied defensively and went back to combing my hair while staring at the mirror. I was in my bedroom getting
"Okay, if you say so." She said with a laugh.
"You made me change my pants thrice, and tryout seven different kind of shirts. No way! Nuh uh, you're not gonna make me change this. I look perfect." I said as I shook my head and looked back at my reflection. I was putting on a back top, a two colored jacket which was black and something like ash, I really can't tell. Black jeans, skinny jeans obviously and black sneakers.
I look great.
I knew it.
"I was kidding, honey. Your date is in eight minutes." Raven said and laid down completely on my bed. "So are you completely ready."
"Yes!" I turned to her. "I'm ready." I said and put the comb on my table. "I feel like my stomach is in my throat."
"Relax, it's gonna be fine. I can feel it." She smiled.
"What if after this date he hates me." I said, feeling a bit panicked.
She quickly sat up with a frown. "Where is this negativity coming from? You've been looking up to this for a while, we both have. Henry wouldn't hate you."
He would if he knew I lied to him.
"I hope."
"Now smile and be happy, this is a night you've waited for, for God knows how long."
I smiled and looked back at the mirror. "Damn, I'm really hot."
"Yes, you are." She giggled.
"Anyways, I noticed Zach was talking to you at the beach yesterday about something. What was it?"
"Oh, n-nothing important. You know Zach, annoying as always." She rolled her eyes making me laugh.
"Yeah and he thinks I'd forgive him for slamming me against the locker."
She frowned. "He did that?"
I nodded. "Yeah, he's an ass."
There was something in her eyes, I couldn't quite place what emotion it was.
"You okay?"
She looked up at me and smiled. "Yeah, just thinking about how to drown him."
I giggled. "What about the other guy you met at the beach."
"Kingsley?"
"I have no idea what his name is." I chuckled.
She smiled. "He's okay? He asked me out for coffee today and I said yes."
"How'd it go?" I smiled.
"Big mistake!"
"Oh!"
"I mean, he kept talking about wanting a girlfriend and how he thinks I'm beautiful and stuff," she gave a disappointed look. "I mean, I already know. Tell me something I don't actually know baby boy, like the size of your junk." I laughed. "I don't want a boyfriend, I only came out for coffee cause I thought I was getting the D but that wasn't the case and he kept talking and I got super bored so I paid for the coffee myself and walked right out without uttering a word and left him to keep talking to his dead grandmother who I found out died cause she choked while eating pancakes."
I blinked in shock while laughing. "What?"
"Talk about one thousand stupid ways to die." She rolled her eyes. "I'm done with boys." She groaned and laid on her back lazily on my bed.
I laughed and went to lay next to her as we stared up at the ceiling. "Maybe you haven't found him yet, the guy to make you feel safe and happy and all those mortal feelings."
She looked at me. "The ones you feel?"
I nodded. "Yeah, I just had to end up liking a mortal and now he's broken a lot of my barriers and my heart is sadly functioning slowly."
She laughed. "That sucks."
"A little."
My phone beeped and I got up and walked over to my dresser where my phone was, I picked it up and opened the text and gasped really loud making Raven sit up quickly.
"What?"
"He's here! He just texted me that he's packed outside" I smiled as I replied his text and looked at Raven. "Do I really look okay?"
She nodded. "Yes," she said and looked at her wristwatch. "Wow, he's right on time. A real gentleman." She smiled.
I smiled as well, Raven put on her shoes and picked up her purse and we both made our way out of the room and down the stairs.
"Mom! I'm off!" I said as I got down from the stairs.
My parents were sitting on the dinning eating fruits and gossiping.
"Oh, my baby looks so cute." Mom grinned.
I smiled. "Thanks mom, I gotta go now. Henry's waiting for me outside."
"Be good! Come home early, and have protected sex!" Dad said and I sighed and covered my face in embarrassment while Raven chuckled.
"Seriously?"
Mom smacked his arm. "Go boy! Say hi to Henry for me and have fun."
"You're the best." I said and walked over to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey! So I'm not the best?"
"You're annoying, Dad." I said and began making my way towards the door with Raven.
I opened it and right in front of my house was Henry leaning against his car, looking so ravishing.
"Okay, I'm gonna go now. Have fun and don't get pregnant." Raven said and walked away first. "Hey, Henry. Bring him home safe, okay?" She said as she walked towards her car.
He nodded. "I will."
"Use protection."
"I'll kill you!" I screamed at her, she giggled and got into her car, driving off.
I smiled and made my way towards Henry. "Don't listen to her." I said and he just let out a small chuckle. Henry was wearing black pants and a black shirt that was tucked in. He looked so fucking hot, like a hot office boss in those wattpad books. He was damn perfect. Anything he wore was always good on him. How was that even possible? I wouldn't mind if he just bent me over right now and f-
"You look great," he said and I jumped out of my fantasy to see him with the most amazing smile.
"Thanks, you look amazing too." I smiled back. "I guess I chose the right outfit, we're both kinda matching."
He looked down at his outfit and chuckled. "Yeah, I guess we are."
"Are you nervous?" I could tell he was.
"Yeah, kinda."
"Great, that makes two of us so I don't have to suffer this feeling alone."
He laughed, I loved the sound of it.
I giggled. "Come on, let's go."
He nodded and opened the car door for me to get in. "I love that you do this for me but I can open the door by myself."
"I asked you out on a date, I'm allowed to threat you like a prince tonight and spoil you so shut up and get in." He said and smirked.
"Telling me to shut up isn't spoiling me." I said with a smile as I got in and sat down, he closed the door gently and I buckled my seatbelt before he got in and did the same.
"Now, shall we?" He asked as he started the car.
I nodded. "You're not gonna tell me where we're going, are you?"
"Nope and even if I do, you wouldn't know it so there's no need." He said as he drove.
"Um, ouch!"
He laughed. "That was not an insult."
"Are you kidding me? If you look at it from any angle it was an insult." I said with a little chuckle.
"No, I was just stating a point."
"Yes, you were. You just made me realize it's some kinda rich place that I wouldn't know about cause I can't afford it. That a lie?"
He curled up his lip. "Well....not exactly."
"I knew it." I punched his arm and he let out a chuckle.
"I'm driving, you're gonna put us in a coma if you hit me again." He said with a laugh.
I shook my head at him while smiling widely. "I hate you."
"No, you don't."
"No, I don't." I smiled.
He glanced at me with a smile and looked back at the road, he took a hand off the steering and held my hand tightly while driving with the other. "In case, you're still nervous."
"I actually forgot I was once nervous." I really did but still held his hand.
"Me too." He replied with a little smile as he rubbed my hand with his thumb.
***
(Play song here; possibly play it over and over.)
"We're here." He said as he stopped the car, I looked out the window before opening the car door and stepping out, closing it behind me.
I stared at the restaurant right in front of me in awe, it was apparently called 'Black Diamond', so I guess we were dressed according to the name and even the name of this place spoke 'money'. I started at the white and black colored building with so much light from it. The lights were shinning from inside the building because there were a lot of glass windows and we could even see the people inside, it was beautiful. It looked like a really classy kind of place and I'm pretty sure I wasn't dressed properly for this place.
"Black Diamond." I read out loud as we both walked towards it. "It's beautiful." I muttered, I was so in shock that I couldn't speak out loud. I guess I really haven't seen everywhere in Eastwood and only see the places my friends and I go to.
Henry and I walked towards the entrance, the guard opened the glass door and smiled at us, welcoming us to this place. I just flashed him a smile as I walked in first with Henry behind me and I just somehow forgot how to walk.
I found myself looking at the most beautiful restaurant I've ever seen and been to. Stepped white walls, brass lights and so many of them hanged in the air, when I traced them up to the ceiling, my jaw dropped as I saw a painting, a painting of stars and the dark sky at night. What was really amazing was the fact that the stars looked like they were actually shinning.
"You're gonna swallow a fly." Henry whispered into my ear startling me, I let out a chuckle as I looked around.
"I'm not sure flies are allowed here, I'm sure they also know this isn't their class." I said as I admired the setting of the tables in this place, there were a lot of people and they were dressed like this was an occasion sponsored by Bruce Wayne. There was music playing from somewhere and it matched this atmosphere. Henry was busy talking to the hostess, I didn't pay attention and just looked around.
The lady he was talking to, dressed in white shirt and black skirt walked past us with a smile.
"Right this way."
Henry held my hand and I looked at him confused. "We have to follow her to our table, I already made a reservation." He said and I nodded before walking with him, following the lady in front.
It was weird, the people here were way older than we were and I didn't want to let my guard down.
While walking, I noticed some paintings on the walls that looked interesting as we walked and all the waiters looked so...formal? No, so trained! That should be it. All the guys had their hair gelled and combed backwards while the ladies had their hair in a bun, wow.
I spotted a woman staring at Henry and smirking as she took a sip from her glass while a man spoke to her and it irritated me at that spot and got me jealous, yes, I admit it. So, I instantly locked arms with him while staring at her, she looked away from him and at me with shock and I just flashed her a mean smile. Her shocked expression turned to disgust and I just looked away with a victory smile.
This one's mine.
"Something troubling you?" Henry asked as he looked at our locked arms and back at me with an arched brow.
"No, I just wanna hold you like this."
"Possesive, huh?"
"Can you blame me?"
He chuckled and said nothing.
"This right here is your table." The lady said with a smile, finally coming to a stop as she took the paper that read 'reserved' off the table.
"Thanks." I muttered and took a seat right across Henry.
"Jacob will be your server tonight," she said as she placed two menu's on the table. "Enjoy your meal." She said and walked away.
There was clicking of glasses and rich laughter, you know those kind of laughter that it seems practiced and even when the joke is really funny they can't laugh like normal people? Yeah, that kind. Like there's a hundred dollars stuck in their throat and the way people were dressed here, in suits. Rich gowns. Shit! I never should have listened to Jon and Jaxton when they voted jeans.
"You look nervous."
I turned my attention back to Henry. "What? No, I'm not. I just-" I sighed. "I don't feel like I'm dressed for this kinda place."
"And since when did Dylan give a crap?" He asked with a furrowed brow and I just found myself smiling.
He was right. Since when did I give a crap?
Since you met Henry
-conscience.
"Since you." I answered truthfully.
"Well I love the way you look tonight, you're sexy and I'm sorry I didn't give you a hint on where we were going earlier, but on a more honest serious note, you look great and you shouldn't care. Think of it as being different, being unique." He said softly.
I smiled the more. Being different, being unique. "I guess you're right, I shouldn't give a fuck."
He smiled. "Exactly."
"And I don't. Tell me, how in the world did you find this place? It's amaz-" I gasped once I looked at the floor, the floor was designed to look like an ocean. How did they even managed to do that? "Oh my God!"
Henry laughed.
"Don't laugh at me, everything about this place is mind blowing." I said, my mouth still open as I looked around. "And this chair is so comfy." I said as I rolled my ass on the chair making him laugh the more. "Don't laugh!"
"I can help it!" He said, still laughing. "Okay, sorry." He said as he tried to stop.
"What's weird about this place is the fact that there are a lot of people here and yet no noise. It's like they're whispering about planning an attack, killing their husbands and so much more." I said with a frown as I looked at the people here.
"It's what they do, they're so classy. They act like gods and all, it's kinda annoying."
I nodded in agreement. "It really is."
A waiter walked up to us with a smile and I quickly looked away from Henry and at him. He was tall and had black hair, his hands were at his back. "Welcome to Black Diamond, my name's Jacob. How are you this evening?"
"Great, thanks for asking." I smiled at him.
"You're welcome." He smiled. "Let me tell you about our specials today,"
"Go ahead." Henry said, sounding like one of them rich folks.
"We have the miso-glazed Chilean sea bass with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and sauteed spinach."
I found myself frowning as he spoke cause I swear the only thing I could understand was 'sweet potatoes and spinach'. The rest? Was that even food?
Henry was looking at his menu so I just picked mine up and opened it.
"Hmm, interesting." Henry muttered, still sounding so much like a rich 'man'. It was hot and kinda weird.
"Do you need time to decide?" He asked, still smiling.
Henry nodded and he turned to me so I just did the same.
"Can I get you something to drink?"
"Whatever wine you have."
I frowned as I looked at him. Was he allowed to order that? We were teenagers.
The man nodded. "I'll be right back with that." He said and walked away.
"Are we supposed to order to order that? Won't they be suspicious that we're just teenagers? I mean they're not allowed to give us alcohol, right?" I asked in a whisper.
He smirked. "That's cause they don't think we're teenagers. That's why I was acting the way I was. To them, I'm Mr. Ashcroft a twenty three year old man and you're my fiancé."
I choked on my spit and began to cough. "Fiancé?"
He nodded still smiling. "Yup, that way we are also adults."
I smiled. "You amaze me all the time."
The waiter came back holding a bottle of wine and two glasses, he placed them all on the table with a little sigh. "This is the 2008 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru."
"Ooh, sounds nice, doesn't it darling?" I smiled at Henry.
His brows shot up at my response before he smiled. "It does."
"I have to say you both do look good together." He said as he poured the wine in our glasses.
"Thank you, he's my everything." Henry said huskily.
"You flatter me babe, just few months and we'll be married." I smiled.
"Can't wait." He chuckled.
The man was beaming as he stared at the both of us. "Love is all that matters, no matter what gender. Something I try to explain to my mother since she's hard on my gay little brother." He said, his tone suddenly bitter, I said nothing and neither did Henry, we just took a silent sip from our wine and yes it did taste wonderful. "My apologies. I'll leave you too." And with a fake smile, he walked away.
I sighed. "I didn't know what to say to that."
"Me neither." He said, dryly.
"Well, dear husband to be." I turned to Henry with a smile and pointed at my glass of wine, while mimicking the rich folks accents. "I must say that this 2008 Domaine Leflaive Pulinanana something Monica Les Flozuzuzu cruley whatever wine is quite delicious."
Henry was laughing so hard as I spoke and didn't stop, he couldn't stop and was red all of a sudden. I couldn't help but laugh as well because he was laughing and it was funny seeing him this way. He kept trying to stop to breath and veins were popping on his forehead, he finally calmed down and wiped the tears from his eyes. It was the first I had seen him laughed this much and this hard without caring about anyone being around.
"Oh, God." He said in between little laughs as he took a sip from his glass. "I'm quite sure that's not what he said."
"Can you blame me? I don't even know half of what he says when he opens his mouth to talk about the food they have here." I said with a shrug.
He laughed. "Okay, let's order, Dyl."
I nodded and picked up my menu again and once I started looking at the names of the food, I was confused and wondering what they all were. They cost a lot and I didn't even know what they were.
"What the hell is a petrale sole?"
"It's a food."
I gave him a soured look. "I know, dumbass. I mean, I'm sorry I don't even know what all these are. It's like when I finally see something I know, they ruin it and add something I don't." I said and looked back at the menu. "I mean look at this, what is a petrale sole served with Brussels sprouts, caviar and smoked parsnip? What does that even mean? Who eats that?" I shook my head. "Oh look, spicy-sallad lobster. Yummy, you would think." I smiled for a split second. "Until you realized it is plated with whole wheat spaghetti and garlic bread?" I grimaced. "That's like poison. Why would someone eat that?"
Henry laughed. "I like how you get confused and think everything in the world is stupid."
"Cause it is." I shrugged. "That's a weird combo."
"Do you want me to order for you?"
I pouted and nodded. "Yes please."
He smiled and nodded before putting his menu down.
"You didn't tell me how you found this place."
"I've been here once."
"With who? A girl? Woah, this is your usual spot?" I asked jokingly, but I needed to know who he came here with.
He chuckled. "Not a spot. But yes, I came here with a girl a long time ago."
I think I felt something die inside of me once I realized someone had come here too with him. "Oh, that's...nice."
He nodded, smiling. "Yeah, she sat right there." He pointed at the table a little further from where we sat and I had to swallow the lump that magically formed suddenly in my throat.
"Cool," I said, lowly and took another sip of the wine. I could feel him staring at me but I didn't even look at him and kept admiring the oceanlike paint on the floor. Not admiring, that's a lie. Just trying to be cool again.
"Her name was mom."
I quickly looked up at him with wide eyes and he let out a laugh. "She was the one I came here with years ago, she loved this place and it was special to her so it's special to me." I smiled.
"Oh, I...I didn't know."
"It's nothing."
"What was she like?" I wasn't sure if he'd get mad if I asked that.
He was quiet and just stared at me, he opened his mouth to reply when Jacob appeared in front of us and I cursed him mentally.
"Are you ready to order now?"
Henry nodded. "Yes, We'll both have the pad Thai pork." He said and handed him his menu.
Jacob nodded and took our menus. "I'll be right back with your orders." He said and walked away.
"I uh, I really don't know how to do this date stuff, I don't know what words are to be spoken."
I nodded in understanding. "It's okay, I guess it's all about the flow. We've been doing great and we don't have to play twenty questions now."
He nodded and said nothing.
Jacob came back with our orders few minutes later and the food was really good, I had to thank Henry over and over again for ordering this cause it was delicious and I'm not ashamed to eat the way I want when I see food. I didn't act like a princess trying to impress the prince of the other kingdom's parents, I ate like Dylan. Talking and eating, complimenting and laughing and I didn't mind and neither did he. I'm not ashamed to show myself. We talked about random stuffs but he never answered my question concerning his mother.
"...and my mom started calling me the apocalypse because according to her, problem child was a saint compared to me." I said with a shrug and sipped my wine.
Henry chuckled. "I guess you were that bad."
"I was a sweet angel."
"I wanna not argue but...it's hard."
I gasped. "I hate you."
He laughed. "You can't."
I opened my mouth to argue but didn't. "Okay I still don't but I swear I was an angel."
He hummed and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I do believe you."
"No, you don't. Ugh, I hate you."
"Stop saying that." He chuckled.
"I'll try, I can't help it."
He smiled and just stared at me, I kept eating and he just looked and I was starting to get uncomfortable.
"Stop staring at me. What is it? Is there a huge ass pimple growing on my lip or my forehead?" I asked in horror and began to feel my face.
He just smiled. "You're beautiful."
"I know." I wiggled my brows.
"Be my boyfriend."
I frowned, taken aback at the sudden...whatever that was. "What?"
"I uh, sorry. I didn't say that right. I meant uh, will you be my boyfriend, Dylan?"
Of course. That's all I've ever wanted!
I think my heart stopped once he asked that, I mean I didn't think he'd ask me till another five thousand years but he did ask me sooner than that!
I was excited. Shocked, yes. But excited!
I was just about to reply when his words rang in my head.
"You didn't tell him about him, did you?"
"You couldn't. I'm sure if you did, you lied. You didn't tell him how it happened, did you?"
"How do you think he'd feel when he finds out you ruined that boy's life too? Hmm?"
My smile fell and I watched Henry's smile fall too, my excitement died so fast and fear filled my body. My hands were shaking under the table and I couldn't help but ask myself.
Will he hate me once he finds out?
Will he be mad I lied?
Would he still want to be my boyfriend?
I can't say yes when I wasn't honest.
I ruined his life.
I can't.
Panic rose inside of me, the room was suddenly stuffy and I couldn't breathe. The air wasn't enough, my heart was racing, my thoughts were on fire.
"Dyl, are you okay?" Henry asked, concerned.
I stood up instantly. "I uh, i-i need to use t-the bathroom." I said and quickly walked away from the table, I needed to breathe. I felt hot and not in the good way, I asked a waiter for directions and scurried to the bathroom. I shut the door and walked straight to the sink, the bathroom was just as fancy, beautiful lights and a lot of mirrors but that wasn't my business at the moment.
I let out heavy breaths and closed my eyes as I placed my hands on both sides of the sink. I rose my head seconds later and looked at my reflection in the mirror, flashes of that day appeared in my head and I felt like I needed to scream. I took off my jacket and began pacing around, muttering supportive words to myself that I didn't believe.
"It's not your fault, it's not your fault." I kept repeating and soon I felt the tears and I started saying it was my fault. I walked back to the sink and rinsed my face but still couldn't get Johnathan's words outta my head. I can't be his boyfriend when I lied to him. God, why do I care? Of course I care. I like him. Why is this different.
I cried.
"Dylan."
I gasped in fear and turned to see Henry standing at the door, he frowned once he saw me and walked in, closing the door behind him and locking it.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked as he walked towards me. "Is it because I..I asked you t-"
I shook my head. "I lied, Henry. I lied."
"What?"
"About Alex! I didn't tell you the real story." I cried.
His frown deepened in concern. "Who's Alex."
"T-The boy I fucking told you tried to kill himself! Johnathan didn't ask him to tell his homophobic parents, it was me. I knew his parents were homophobic and I asked him to tell them that he was gay when I knew what would happen to him. I was the one who made him want to kill himself. Oh God, I did that. He took a lot of pills to end his life because of me, I knew what I was doing, I knew the results and I still asked him to! A-And when I saw him on the ground, I panicked. I was scared. I can't forget it. I was the one who made him end up in the hospital, I'm a monster just like him." I said and ran a hand through my hair as I became a crying mess. "He was right, I'm a monster. I'm just as bad. I fucking lied about that day. It was me. He was fragile and such an innocent boy and I made him come out to those homophobic assholes! What kind of a person am I? I didn't even regard him a friend until he landed in the hospital. He says he's forgiven me but how can he forgive me? I can't even forgive myself! He can't cause I...I a-almost killed him. If I was a second late, I would have been a murderer."
"Dylan, I don't care!"
"How can you not care!!" I yelled. "Two, Henry! I put two people in the hospital cause I was a mean bitch! One lost his legs and the other almost died! They both almost died for fuck sake!!"
"Stop!" He growled and gripped my arms and I stopped talking. "Stop saying horrible things about yourself cause you're not a bad person! Who said you were horrible?"
"J-Johnathan."
"How? He's in jail."
"I went to see him today," I sniffed.
"What? Why would you go?"
"He wanted to see me and I stupidly went and he got to me and he made me see that you'd hate me and-"
"I don't. I don't hate you. I don't care!!" He said as he shook me and I looked up at him. "You hurt someone, I've hurt someone, everyone has! You are amazing and beautiful and perfect in every way! Stop fucking calling yourself a monster cause you're not! Everyone makes mistakes! Hell, I've put people in hospitals cause of a punch." He said and cupped my cheeks. "You've got a dark past, it's okay." He said and I sniffed and shook my head. He turned me so I could look at my reflection in the mirror. "You wanna know what I see? A beautiful boy who doesn't appreciate how amazing he is. A boy that is so perfect in every way and doesn't know it. I don't care about what happened in the past, as long as you regret it, it's fine. Alex forgave you so forgive yourself. When I said I liked you, I meant it. I accept your mistakes. I accept your past. I accept every flaw you have cause everyone's got flaw and I like you the way you are. I love everything about you, okay?" He said and I just watched the tears fell from my eyes. I didn't deserve him. I didn't deserve Henry in this world or the next, how could he accept me for the monster that I was. "Repeat after me," he wrapped his arms around my waist and placed his head on my shoulder. "I am beautiful, I am brave. I am amazing and I don't care what the world says, everyone make mistakes." I looked at him through the mirror and he nodded. "Say it."
"I'm b-beautiful, I am brave. I am amazing and I...I don't care what the world says, e-everyone makes mistakes.."
"Again. Say it like it's a fact!"
I gulped. "I am beautiful. I am brave. I am amazing and I don't care what the world says, everyone makes mistakes."
"Again." He kissed my cheek and I repeated it over and over again.
I turned to him and hugged him. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay, I understand why you lied to me about it and I don't judge you for it." He said as he wrapped his hands around me and kissed my head.
"I'm such a mess."
"Yes, you are."
"I mean who has a panic attack on their first date? I ruined it, didn't I?"
He shook his head. "Not exactly."
I chuckled and looked up at him, he smiled and wiped off the tears on my cheek.
"You totally scared me, I thought you weren't gonna return. You know that bathroom excuse and how the date vanishes through the window."
"What? I wouldn't do that to you....if you had brought out a ring, yes I would have."
He chuckled. "I thought you didn't want to you know?"
"Does the offer still stand?" I asked with a little smile.
He nodded, trying not to show his excitement but his eyes said it all. "Yes, who else am I gonna ask?"
I giggled. "Yes. Yes, I will be your boyfriend, Mr. Ashcroft."
He smiled sheepishly and let out a little sigh. "Thank the heavens."
I laughed and kissed him passionately, he kissed me back and wrapped his arms around me before pulling away seconds later. "Hmm, I do have a surprise for you and I think this is the right time to show you."
"Henry! It's a date not my birthday."
"Trust me, you'll love it."
"Shall we go?"
I nodded. "Yeah, it better not be too extra."
He just shrugged and held my hand, taking me out of the bathroom.

Henry paid for the meal and the wine and it was so goddamn expensive and I hated that he had to spend so much but he didn't mind and I told him I'd have to take him on a date the next time and spend, he didn't agree at first but I'm Dylan, I get what I want.
"You better not steal your father's money." He said once we got out of the car.
"Fuck you, Ashcroft!" I said and gave him the middle finger, he just smirked.
I looked at the really tall building in front of us. "This is a hotel. Why are we here?" I gasped and gave him a flirty smile. "Are we here to do you know what?"
"Your mind needs holy water, as tempting as that is we're not here to have sex." He said and held my hand and pulled me along with him like a protective boyfriend.
"Don't blame me, I never know what to expect from you. I can't fully read you just yet, you're like an unfixable puzzle." I shrugged, he smirked and said nothing.
Once we got in, Henry spoke to the receptionist and took a key from her. I hated the way she was smiling at him, she was flirting with him. I'll make sure to tell her boss to get her fired for flirting with other people's man.
"You're acting shameless, I'm with my boyfriend." Henry said to her in a bored tone once he took the room key and walked away, pulling me along with him but I couldn't fail to catch the glimpse of shock on her face.
I smiled widely. Boyfriend. He was my boyfriend. I was his boyfriend. I finally have one....one I really like.
Once we got into the empty elevator, we just stood still for like five seconds before devouring each other. He had me lifted up and my back resting against the elevator as he kissed me hard and grinded against me, I liked when he did that a lot. I wrapped my arms and kissed him just fiercely, running a hand through his hair and battling with his tongue.
Ding!
Henry pulled away from me and looked ahead once the elevator stopped movie in the seventh floor, I straitened my clothes as the elevator opened and we both stepped out as people walked in.
"I have a boner." I complained as we walked.
"Sorry, pretty boy."
"I hate you." I glared at him.
He smirked. "No, you don't."
I fixed my pants properly to not have my penis shooting out from my pants and have people know that something just happened.
"Jaxton's gonna be so excited when he hears Denry's official. He'll be fangirling, I'm sure."
"What's Denry?" He asked, curiously.
"That's our shipname. D for Dylan, enry is yours and together you get Denry."
He smiled a little. "It's not that bad." He muttered.
"I guess so," I had to agree it was kinda catchy. "Why are we here again?" I asked right before he stood in front of the door of room 527.
"If you shut up then maybe I'll do that thing that makes you scream so loud in bed." He said as he took out the key from his shirt pocket with a smirk.
I went quiet instantly, I was feeling hot again. I liked when he did what he did when we had sex so I said nothing.
"Good boy." He said and unlocked the door, he walked in first and held the door for me to walk in.
I felt the urge to talk. "So you know, if you don't do that thing to me in bed," I paused and took off my jacket as he shut the door and we walked out of the hallway. "I am never gonna give you a blowjob again, forever."
"Who's giving who a blow job?" A voice asked, a very familiar voice, one I couldn't forget. Once I saw who was sitting on the bed eating a bag of chips while staring back at me, my heart stopped, for the hundredth time today. I froze. I literally froze.
The air became cold. It couldn't be. It wasn't possible. He wasn't here.
No, I was seeing things. I had to.
My eyes were bulged out, I was sure that I was pale right now. I just couldn't take my eyes off him. I didn't know what to do or say.
I couldn't move, my heart was racing.
"And I thought you might be a little happy to see me. Bummer." He smiled, that same smile.
Oh God, he was actually here.
"Connor."
