Chapter 78

Dylan's P.O.V

"Mom! Dad! Grams! Grandpa!" I called as I ran down the stairs. "I'm gonna be out with Gwen, I'll see you guys later!" I said as I made my way to the door.

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Slow down young man." Dad said and I rapidly turn.

"I have to leave now, Gwen already called and I have to go meet her."

"Is she the blonde that came yesterday?" He asked with an arched brow.

I nodded. "Yeah. Can I go now?"

"Where are you guys off to? It's Saturday and it's just past eleven. What's the appointment?" Mom said as she approached us with her mouth full and a bowl of chips in both hands.

"We are going shopping."

Dad and mom exchanged confused looks and then looked back at me.

"Please tell me she's not helping you choose the size and color of thongs to buy." Dad sighed.

I grimaced. "Ew, dad no!" I shivered. "I'm not going to buy th-Jesus! How could you even think of such?"

Mom smacked the back of his head and he hissed.

"Ouch! Bonnie! You can't blame me! David's gay and he wears them to work and he said it's totally normal!" He shrugged.

"Dad! I'm not David! I'm not in some kinky relationship with any boy or...man or....Dom."

"Well sorry." He murmured. "Wait, what is a Dom?"

Mom sighed and smacked the back of his head again. "Ignore your father, sometimes he doesn't think before he speaks."

"I can't disagree."

"Hey. Don't be rude!" Dad said to me.

"So, what are you guys going to buy?" Mom asked as she ate a chip from her bowl.

I sighed. I knew telling her wasn't a really good idea cause she was dramatic.

"A suit."

They both frowned.

"Suit?" Dad's left brow rose.

"For what?" Mom asked.

I sighed again. "Henry asked me to homecoming."

They both gasped dramatically.

"He did! Oh thank God!" Mom exclaimed happily.

"When? How?"

"Last night when he came over." I shrugged. "Please don't make this a big d-"

Mom squealed happily and I glared at her, dad nudged her and she covered her mouth and tried to force down the happiness. "Sorry," she cleared her throat.

"You guys aren't gonna make a big deal about this! It's just homecoming and he just asked me." I said as if it was no big deal.

"And you weren't expecting him to ask you?" Dad asked with a knowing smirk.

I shrugged. "N-No. He just asked."

"Sure i believe you, and here you are smiling like you lost your virginity again." Mom smirked as well.

Dad laughed.

Seriously?

"Okay, I'm just gonna go now and ignore you both be annoying."

"The truth does hurt." Mom said and wiggled her brows while dad giggled.

I rolled my eyes and turned, walking away and ignoring her.

They were mocking me right now.

"Get a nice suit, Dylan!" Mom yelled out.

"Wait!" Dad said once I got to the door, I turned with a sigh.

"What is it Dad?"

"How are you gonna buy the suit if you have no money?"

"Oh don't worry about me, I'm a grownup now." I said with a smile and walked out the door.

***

"So, how's homecoming coming along?" I asked while trying out my second shit in the changing room.

I mean suit

"I think it's gonna be one of the best in Eastwood high." She replied and I knew she was smiling as she spoke.

"Well it has to be, I mean you're one of the committees and I know ninety percent of the ideas are yours." I said as I fixed the suit collar.

"Not ninety."

I tucked my head out of the cotton and gave her a knowing look.

"Ninety six."

I giggled. "Better."

"Well?" I asked as I stepped out.

She looked at it and at me and shook her head. "No."

I groaned and walked back into the changing room to try another again. "I'm really not enjoying this."

She chuckled. "So, you going with anyone?" She asked as I took off my clothes.

I shook my head. "Maybe " I yelled back to answer her.

"Maybe?"

I sighed as I began putting on the red suit, I buttoned the suit jacket and stepped out of the changing room. "Henry asked me last night."

She gasped. "Oh my God. Finally! I'm so excited for you." She squealed.

I rolled my eyes. Everyone was making this such a huge deal, I thought I was the only one who was to make this a big deal but I guess not. I was taking it so well and not squealing like a teenage girl. I was the one being asked and I didn't freak like every other person. I was more sensible and knew how to handle my emotions.

The image of me jumping on my bed and singing to Beyoncé's Partition last night due to the excitement of Henry asking me to homecoming flashed in my head and I cleared my throat.

Maybe I did act like a teenage girl but no one has to know.

"So, about the suit." I said and spread my arms with a big smile. "Yay or nay?"

She gave me a bored look. "How about not happening." She said and folded her arms.

I groaned. "You know what? I'll wear anything. I always look good on anything."

"That," she began and pointed at me. "Cannot be argued but this is homecoming and the theme isn't angry red devil, okay?"

"Yeah but it relates and I remember Raven talking about the theme."

"I changed the theme." She shrugged with a smile. "This isn't hellfire."

"You gotta admit Eastwood high is kinda like hell."

She opened her mouth to argue but gave it a thought and sighed. "True story."

I chuckled. "If I can't find a suit, I can't go to homecoming and I don't even have any at home."

"You'll find one. We've only been here for a while." She said as she looked through a line of suits.

I scowled at her. "We've been here for two hours, Gwen. Two." I emphasized. "And this is the second mall we're coming to."

"We have a job to do tomorrow Dylan."

I sighed. "Can't I just wear skinny jeans and a T-shirt?"

"If it was the school game? Sure." She shrugged.

"I hate this."

She pulled out a black suit and walked towards me, handing it to me. "Here, try this."

I shook my head. "Nuh uh, literally everyone would be wearing a black suit." I stated. "I'm not gonna wear what everyone's wearing. I'm just gonna be different and unique like I've always been." I shrugged.

She sighed. "Dylan, stop being difficult."

"If I can have white hair when everyone was having other colors, why can't I wear something different when almost everyone would be wearing the same thing?." I shrugged.

"You. Are a case."

I sighed. "I wish Raven was here, she'd know what to do and what I'd wear."

She folded her arms and her brows furrowed. "Excuse you? Oh so I don't know what I'm doing."

"You know that's not what I mean. She's just...she would have figured this out."

She smiled. "I know what you mean and by tonight everything would be better." She assured me. "Now that she's not here and you've got me, we need to figure this out cause I haven't done my nails yet and I need to."

I groaned. "I know and I'm also tired and I just wanna go home and-" I trailed off once I spotted a guy returning a suit to one of the male employees, it caught my eye. It was blue in color and blue's one of my favorite colors and if I could remember well, that's the kind grams and mom wants me to get.

"What?" Gwen asked.

"Hold on a sec." I said and got down and rushed towards the employee and the man who seems to be in his twenties. Another guy seemed to have the same motive as I and was about to take it from the male employee when I rapidly grabbed it from his arms and flashed the three men a smile. "Yeah, I'll take this."

"I was just about to take it!" The boy angrily said.

"Opportunity comes but once they say, and I grabbed this one." I smiled and made my way towards Gwen. "I think I found it." I said with a grin and quickly made my way to the changing room to try it on.

The suit had traces of black and it seemed totally perfect, it was smooth. This was it. You know that saying when you see the perfect suit you'd know? Okay maybe no one ever said that but I knew this was it. The suit was plain blue, this was every bit perfect. I walked out of the changing room and did a pose and Gwen gasped loudly.

"Oh my God."

I grinned. "Right??"

"This is....oh my." She couldn't find the words and wouldn't stop smiling. I made my way towards her, happy as ever.

"I found it! This is it!" I said, excited as hell.

"This is it!" She repeated with a giggle.

"I found the perfect suit!"

"You found the perfect suit!"

And we both turned it into a song and began to do a silly dance with our backs resting against each other while I sang 'I found the perfect suit' and Gwen replied with 'he found the perfect suit'. Yeah some people gave us weird looks as they passed but who gives a fuck?

We laughed as we stopped and looked at each other.

"People probably think we're crazy." Gwen said with a giggle.

I chuckled. "Well if they think this is crazy then they haven't seen a thing."

Gwen took out her phone with a smile. "I need to capture this moment." She said and turned on the camera, I stood beside her with a pout as she took the photo. I was about to look at the photo when I hit her arm by mistake and her phone fell to the ground.

"Shit!" She exclaimed.

"Crap! I'm sorry." I said and bent to pick up her phone when I heard something rip really loud that it startled me and made me freeze, Gwen squealed in shock immediately.

"Oh My God!"

My eyes widen. "Gwen? What was that?" I still didn't get up cause I got scared.

"Um....n-nothing." She was panicking. I quickly stood upright and turned to her with wide eyes, she jumped a little.

"Gwen."

"I-It's n-not that bad." She tried to smile but was failing.

So I was right.

I looked at my pants but it wasn't torn which confused me the more, I looked at her with a frown. "What tore?"

"T-The j-jacket."

My eyes widen the more and my eyeballs were gonna fall at any second. "No. No. No. No. No." I said as I kept twirling to look at it but couldn't. "I CAN'T SEE I-" she shushed me and I looked around and back at her. "I can't see it." I whispered.

She took her phone from my hand and turned me so my back could face her, I heard the shot sound from her camera and I turned back to her.

"You can't freak out."

"Let me see." I demanded and she handed the phone to me. I looked at it and I almost screamed but she quickly placed her hand over my mouth and it became muffled. I began complaining and talking continuously but she obviously couldn't hear a thing since it was all muffled.

"Calm down!"

I pushed her hand away. "This is bad luck! They are after me! I'm so fucking screwed. I haven't even paid for it! Oh thank God I haven't paid for it! Oh fuck! I'm ruined!"

"Dylan! Chill." She said and then looked behind me, I turned and spotted and employee coming our way.

"Shit." I quickly stood beside Gwen, facing him so the female employee wouldn't see it. She walked past us with a smile and we both gave her a fake smile and made sure to avoid her seeing the tear. "I haven't paid for it yet and this happens? I'm so screwed."

"D-Dylan, relax. It's gonna be fine." She obviously didn't believe herself. "Don't panic. There are a lot more and we're gonna f-"

I wasn't even listening to her. "I need to take this off." I said and ran to the changing room, I quickly took off all the clothes as I chanted one of my favorite words whenever I was in such situation. "Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" I fell to the ground as I took off the pants but didn't care and rapidly changed to my own clothes. I folded the clothes and left them there, I came out instantly and walked towards Gwen.

"Where's the suit?"

"Someone left them there and we don't know who." I shrugged.

"Dylan, we ca-"

"Shh!" I glared. "We don't wanna look suspicious, so lets just go."

"But what if someone sees it." She asked in a panic whisper. "We can just return it and-"

"We didn't do anything." I said through gritted teeth. "Right?"

She sighed and nodded. "Right."

A man passed me while holding some clothes and headed towards the changing room I had come out room.

"We should go." Gwen said and locked her hands with mine.

"Yeah, let's go." I said and we scurried out of there.

Once we were far away from there, I sighed in frustration. "I can't believe this got ruined, I found the perfect suit and then it got torn. I can't believe I added a couple of pounds when I thought I could never get fat."

Gwen rolled her eyes and nudged me. "You're over reacting! You didn't add any weight. You're still as skinny as ever and I envy you cause I don't have to bother about what I eat and how I eat. It's the suit's fault not yours."

I shook my head as we walked. "Thanks for trying to make me feel better but It didn't work. I'm screwed. How am I gonna go to go to homecoming if I can't find a suit? I just wanna cry right now, I feel cursed. Maybe I'm cursed."

"Dylan," she rubbed my shoulder as we walked. "Stop saying stupid things, we'll find another."

"No, we won't." I shook my head. "You know what? I'll just act professional and ask one if the employees." I said and walked towards one of them with Gwen. "Hi."

I was taller than the boy with about two inches but he looked older than I was, I just smiled. "How can I find a suit for myself? Blue in color. Fitted. Perfect and something that wouldn't make me want to burn down this place?"

Gwen stepped on my foot and I winced but quickly fixed a fake smile.

"He didn't mean that." She was also fake smiling.

He chuckled. "I understand him, miss." He smiled widely at her. "Follow me." He said and walked ahead, I followed with Gwen and he took us towards another store that was filled with so much suits again.

I smiled as I looked around. "Oh wow, so many princes. I wonder how I'm gonna find prince charming here." I muttered.

Gwen chuckled. "We'll find one." She said and rubbed my shoulder.

"Um, how about you come check these?" The man said as he pointed at a line of blue suits and we both walked to where he stood.

"Okay then," I sighed and rolled up my sleeves. "Time to find the perfect suit." I said and began my mission.

I checked all the suits on the line and couldn't find any and had to check another line until I saw one that hanged alone. I could have sworn there was a light from above that shone on it and I could hear some angels sing an opera once my eyes landed on it. I walked towards it with a smile and I felt like I couldn't touch it or I'd stain it. I felt like it was that precious. I admired the blue suit that had some very little shades of black on it that were used. I felt drawn to it, I could already imagine how I'd look on it.

"Excuse me," I called as I just stared at it, he didn't answer. I turned and he wasn't there, I went in search of him and saw him talking to Gwen with a smile and making her laugh.

What the fuck?

"Hey!" I called. They both looked at me and I made my way towards them. "She's not in the market." I said and pulled Gwen towards me. "She's going to homecoming with the nicest boy in this town so better stay in your limits or you won't come back to work tomorrow."

"I'm sorry, I didn't-"

"Save it." I cut him off. "Come with me." I said and made my way back to the suit, my arm locked with Gwen as we walked ahead. "Are you crazy? Why are you flirting back?" I whisper yelled.

"I wasn't!" She retorted. "His jokes were funny and he so wasn't flirting!"

"He totally was, sweetie."

"He wasn't!"

"He's been smiling and checking you out since we asked him for help."

"He's older than I am!"

"That didn't stop Stefan Salvatore before did it?" I said as we stopped walking.

She rolled her eyes as we came to a stop. "Dylan,"

"Or Edward Cullen or you know, a lot of pedophiles."

She slapped my arm once she saw the guy come to a stop.

"So?" He smiled.

"This suit," I pointed at it. "I want it."

"Um," he blinked. "That's quite um-"

I arched my brow.

"It's quite expensive and I th-"

"I wanna try it." I said and took it out from where it was hanged. I smiled at it. "Where's the changing room?" I asked as I looked to him.

"Um, straight down to your left." He instructed.

I nodded and walked ahead but quickly stopped and turned to them. "Keep your distance." I said as I pointed at him, I pointed two fingers towards my eyes and back at him to let him know I was watching him even if I wasn't here. "I'm not joking." I said as I quickly went to the changing room.

I couldn't stop staring at myself once I had worn the suit. I loved it's fabric, I loved how it felt. I loved it's colors and how it blended with mine. I loved how I looked, I couldn't stop smiling at myself in the mirror. I had not worn a suit in years and this felt like the right time to wear one and the right one to wear. It was perfect. So perfect. Better than the previous one. I know I said the last one that got ripped was better but this was much more amazing. I really couldn't stop smiling and staring at myself. I could see Henry in the mirror hold me from behind and place his head on my shoulder.

"You're beautiful and if I say so then you are."

That was something I knew he would say and I felt like I could hear him, I smiled the more and looked away, I was actually blushing over a compliment that my mind made up.

I looked back at my reflection and he was gone. "I'm going crazy," I sighed and shook my head but couldn't help but chuckle. I stepped out of the changing room and headed towards Gwen and the employee who seemed to be talking to her. Gwen looked away from him and at me and did a double take, her eyes widen and her jaw dropped.

She slowly made her way towards me. "Oh my, you're..."

"It's nice, isn't it?" I couldn't stop smiling.

She chuckled as she admired it. "It's lovely. Wow. You look amazing."

I grinned. "Oh God, I feel like I girl right now who finally found the perfect dress and I don't know, is this how you feel when you see something you like?" We both laughed.

"I...I gotta go take this off before something bad happens." I said and ran back into the changing room to take them off before it rips.

Gwen, the male employee who's name seemed to be Paul and I went straight to the cashier and to he honest, I didn't know why Paul was still following us. I turned to Paul with a sigh. "Thanks for your help but you can go now, seriously. Gwen's taken by my best friend who is more handsome and younger and I don't like how you're following her like you're her her handbag!"

He blinked.

"Dylan, you're being mean." Gwen muttered.

"I'm s-sorry, i just...I'm sorry." He smiled and backed away.

"Dylan." She gave me a straight face.

I shrugged. "What? In few hours you'd be going to homecoming with my best friend and so you're not allowed to be flirt with and neither are you allowed to flirt back." I said and turned to the cashier, handing her the suit. She smiled at me and took it with the rest of the things I bought, I turned to Gwen.

"So, has Jon called you today?"

"Yeah," she smiled. "Twice."

I grinned. "That's cute."

"Um, that would be a thousand dollars." She said with a smile.

My eyes widen. "Woah," I blinked. "B-But I didn't purchase a land."

"It's....expensive." Gwen spoke. "Let me have it, we'll return it and get another."

"The price was right on the tag." The cashier said.

"Yeah well maybe some of us couldn't get to see it a-"

I placed my hand on her shoulder to stop her. "Gwen, it's alright." I said and took out my wallet and handed a debit card to her. "Here. I'll still take it." I said with a smile, she took it with that same fixed smile and did her transaction.

"Dylan, its expensive. How are you able to pay for it and you're not eighteen yet so how do you have a debit card."

"It's not mine," I shrugged. "It's my dad's." I smiled. "He was asking if I had any money anyways so why not use his debit card?" I smirked.

"Dylan!"

"Whaaat?" I flashed her a smile as I took the debit card back from the cashier and my packaged outfit. "Let's go, he wouldn't kill me today."

***

"Dylan! Hurry up!" Mom shouted from the stairs.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back as I stared at my reflection in the mirror with a smile. I was formally dressed, a white dress shirt and a black bowtie. I had styled my hair and at this moment I felt nervous, was henry gonna like this? He had to.

Breathe, Dylan. Breathe.

I did so and let out a heavy sigh, I kept caressing my jacket and suddenly mom yelled my name again, startling me. I turned and picked up my phone from the dresser before heading out of my room and down the stairs.

Everyone except grandma was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, mom was holding up her phone and so was dad.

"Aw, you look so handsome." Mom said with a big smile as I landed from the stairs.

"Thanks mom." I replied with a sincere smile, she walked up to me and gave me a hug and then I heard her sniff, I frowned. "Are you crying?"

"No," she said and pulled away, she was crying.

"Mom!" I whined.

"What? It's the baby, and I mean look at you. You haven't gone to homecoming in forever and it's so nice seeing you in a suit once again, you really do look amazing." She said and wiped her tears, I heard a shutter and dad's camera flashed on us.

"Better," he said with a smile and placed his arm around mom's shoulder. "Your mom's just overwhelmed with emotions. You look really great son, I'm glad that I could witness this day and no, I'm not gonna cry like your mother."

I chuckled and gave him a hug. "Thanks dad."

"My grandson looking so handsome." Grandpa Felix chuckled.

"Thank you, grandpa." I smiled at him.

"Okay, photo moment." Mom said. "I need one with my son." She said and rushed to my side, squeezing me in a hug.

"Mom! I can't breathe." She didn't listen and smiled widely, I chuckled and dad took the photo and I took one with both my parents and with grandpa Felix and then someone coughed.

We all looked towards the door and spotted Grams and a certain handsome young man smiling at us. I lost my voice once I saw Henry, he also looked shocked once our eyes met. I had never seen him in a suit and I had wondered what he'd look like if he wore one and now, seeing him in his black tux beat my imagination. He had a really cute smile on and I couldn't stop admiring him, all I wanted to do now was be in his arms and probably undress him and have my way with him or probably have sex with him while he had his tux on, that'd be much better. The suit was perfect on his body, it looked expensive as well and his hair was perfectly done. Damn, he was a fine man.

I noticed he was also staring right back at me, he didn't once take his eyes off me and neither did I. I couldn't help but wonder if he liked my outfit, he did look really shocked right before he smiled.

I don't know how long I zoned out for but mom nudged me to bring me back to my senses. "If you don't go meet him then someone else might go to homecoming with him." She whispered.

"He's been here for a while." Grams said as she approached me and cupped my cheeks. "My baby looks really handsome today," she smiled. "I knew blue was the perfect color for you. You're really handsome."

I chuckled. "Thanks, grams." I said and hugged her tight. "I love you."

"I love you too, peter pan." She said and caressed my back.

"Uh, I hate to break this really cute moment but your date? He's still waiting." Dad announced and I pulled away immediately. I heard another shutter and the flash came from mom's phone this time.

"We all need to have one with you." She shrugged.

I shook my head at her and made my way towards the hot devil in my house.

"Hi,"

"Hi." He breathed. "You look...wow."

I smiled. "You look really hot in a tux."

He chuckled. "Thanks, and you look really beautiful and extremely sexy."

I blushed. I actually blushed in front of him and I didn't care at this moment. "Thanks." I chuckled softy.

"The suit does match the color of your eyes, it's beautiful." He said, his voice came out a little deep.

"Henry, stop."

He chuckled softly. "What? Can't I compliment my date?"

"You're over doing that part."

He chuckled and I did as well and we just stared at each other.

"So cute." Mom squealed.

"Um, you boys are gonna be late. You can continue your Indian slow motion stare episode when you return." Grandma Athena said and we both looked away.

"Let's go before they say something humiliating again." I said and turned to my family. "Bye guys."

"Wait, wait!" Mom said and ran to us with her phone. "I need to take a few photos."

"Bonnie!" Dad sighed.

"Mom!" I groaned.

"Shush! You both stand next to each other."

"Seriously?" I scowled at her.

"Hurry up, Homecoming's not gonna wait for you."

I sighed and stood next to Henry, she took several photos but apparently we weren't close enough according to her and she pushed us together the more until our shoulders brushed against each other.

"Sorry about this." I muttered to him.

He smiled. "It's alright." He replied and at that moment I felt his hand grab my butt, my eyes widen and I stiffened.

"Nice posture." Mom said and snapped again.

I looked at him and he pretended nothing was going on as he just smiled.

"Hands. Off." I said but I didn't try to pull his hand away and he didn't day anything. "Okay! Enough mother!" I grabbed Henry's hand and began walking out the door. "Bye."

"No, wait."

"Control your woman, Mr. Dexwell!" I said to dad as I walked out the door.

"Um, bye." Henry said as I pulled him with me and closed the door once we were out.

"I'm so sorry about that, my mom can be a drama queen most of the time." I sighed.

He snickered. "It's alright." He said and looked at our hands which were still intertwined, I looked at them as well and let go off his hand.

"Shall we?"

He nodded and began walking towards a black car I assumed was his, I followed. I had not seen this kind before, he never drove it to school but I guess it was his. I mean he was rich after all.

"This yours too?" I asked from behind.

"Yup." He said and opened the passenger's door for me, I smiled and got in.

"You have a lot of cars, Mr. Ashcroft."

He chuckled and gently closed the door before coming over to the driver's seat, we both fixed our seatbelts and he started the car.

"Sorry again about my mom." I said as he drove.

"No, it's okay. I think she's cool anyways. Your entire family is, anyone would be lucky to have a family like yours." He said with a smile as he drove.

I smiled as well. "Yeah, I guess I am blessed." I shrugged. "We have our own problems too. We just don't let everyone know about it cause it's a family problem and it stays with the family."

"I understand that." He nodded and my phone chimed, I took it out and opened the text from Gwen.

"It's Gwen, they wanna know if we're close." I told him as I replied her.

"Are you ready?" He asked me, I looked at him and I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm not backing out anytime."

He placed his hand on mine with a smile. "Good. You've got Jon and Gwen by yourself and you also have me which means I would help you knock out his teeth if you want."

I chuckled. "Thank you."

It was time.

***

We got down from the car and stood right in front of the school, staring at it while standing next to each other. There were a lot of cars and a lot of students walking in with their dates while dressed like they were about to go to a royal ball.

I was nervous, I have to admit. I had decided I would never ever go to homecoming again and here I was standing with the boy I fell for, he too was saying nothing and just stared.

"Are you okay?" I asked him softly.

He nodded. "I have never gone to homecoming or prom with anyone before and now I'm doing it for the very first time and I'm not even taking a girl," he chuckled softly. "It's a boy. My life did take a weird turn."

I swallowed as I felt nervous the more. "Do you...Do you regret it? Asking me to homecoming? C-Cause I'd t-totally understand that this is a huge step for you and-"

"Dyl," he called me with a smile and I stopped talking. "I don't regret it. Not one bit. I'm glad that I get to go to homecoming with the most handsome boy in Eastwood." He said and I smiled. "Well, second most handsome since I'm the first." He shrugged and I smacked his shoulder with a chuckle. "I don't regret it." He said with a smile and held my hand.

I looked at our intertwined hands and smiled. Henry was every bit perfect, he always knew the right words to say.

"Now, shall we go in?" He asked and I nodded in approval.

I wish this would have gone like every homecoming would.

We walked into the auditorium together, the music was loud and the auditorium was perfectly decorated. There were pink and neon blue lights, disco balls on the ceiling, the decorations used for the auditorium was amazing and everyone looked happy, they all looked like they were enjoying themselves and who wouldn't? I was proud of Gwen right now. A lot of students were dancing or drinking or talking and some did come alone. Half of the boys wore black shit like I predicted, everyone was dressed nicely.

People actually stared at us and talked, everyone was literally shocked and that was because Henry brought me along as his date. Some smiled at us and some shot me envious looks, our hands never left each other.

"I don't like how they're staring." I whispered t Henry.

He chuckled and leaned closer to my ear. "I guess we're gonna be on everyone's lips all summer." He said as we walked.

I chuckled. "That's a good thing."

"You should find Gwen, I'll go get us something to drink."

I nodded. "Okay, something strong apparently since I'm gonna be doing some crazy shit."

He grinned. "It's homecoming, like every teenage drama there's a kid who turns the punch into an alcohol well."

"Well I'll have one of those."

"I'll go see what Zach brought, stay safe." He said before letting go off my hand and walking away.

"Dylan."

I twirled and walking towards me was Mr. Rowen with a smile. I did not like him.

"Mr. Rowen, hi."

"How are you?" He asked as he stood in front of me.

"Good."

"You and Henry huh?"

"Oh, um..I-"

"I'm glad you and Henry are an item now." He smiled

I blinked. "Um, no we just..."

"Don't try to deny it." He chuckled. "I'm glad you're both on good terms now, and that you both are in a relationship. I knew soon enough your hatred for each other would turn to love."

"I wouldn't say love."

He smiled. "I'm happy for you two."

"Has everyone been rooting for us?"

He laughed. "Keep him happy, he needs all the happiness he can get now and it seems you're the only one who can give that to him."

I didn't understand what he meant by that. "What do you mean?"

"Have fun." He said and walked away with a smile.

What was he talking about? Henry really was a puzzle.

I turned and continued my search for Gwen, I spotted Quinn walking my way. Her hair fell to her left side and was coiled, she wore a silver long gown that showed all of her right leg and her cleavage. She shot me a dirty look as she walked past me with her minions, I rolled my eyes at her and ignored her, she said nothing and neither did I.

"Where to find Gwen now?" I sighed and took out my phone to call her when I heard someone call me. I looked ahead and saw Gwen walking towards me with a big smile, she had a blue long sleeveless gown on and her hair was perfectly tied into a bun, she really did remind me of Cinderella except she was the twenty first century looking Cinderella.

"Hey!" She grinned.

"Speak of the devil." I hugged her.

"You look really amazing."

"I love your dress, totally nailed the princess thing."

She laughed. "Thank you."

"I can't believe we're matching! Why didn't you tell me you were gonna be putting on a blue dress?" I asked with a big smile

She shrugged. "It really didn't cross my mind, I swear."

"You sneaky beautiful bitch."

She giggled. "I heard you came with Henry hand in hand and you both looked like gay princes, where is he?"

"Oh wow, we just arrived about two minutes ago and the whole school already knows." I sighed.

"Someone even said you both made out in the locker room again before coming in here."

My brows shot up. "Are you fucking kidding me?"

"No," she shook her head.

"That's a lie," I frowned. "But, I like that rumor. They should spread that kind more." I smirked.

She laughed. "You're crazy."

"Where's Jon?"

"He's here," she said and arched her brow. "On mission one."

"Oh."

Step one; Make sure Johnathan doesn't suspect a thing, watch his Evey move.

"Where's the list?" I asked her.

"With Angela."

"How many people are performi-"

"Hey," I quickly turned and smiling at me was Jaxton, he had a black tux on as well and I had to admit he looked really good. I said nothing and he cleared his throat. "I uh..."

"I'm kinda busy. So, as I was saying," I said and turned back to Gwen. She glared at me and we murmured curses at ourselves and I kept telling her I didn't want to speak to him in a really low whisper, through gritted teeth while she asked me to, the same way and twirled me to face Jaxton. I faked a smile. "I guess I have a few minutes to spare."

"I'll be...hanging around." Gwen said and walked away.

"You look great." He complimented.

I still fake smiled and said nothing.

"How are...you?"

Is he really trying to act like everything is okay?

"Good."

"I didn't think you'd show up cause you've been saying you wouldn't come."

"Mmhmm."

He nodded. "Dylan, I'm...I'm sorry."

"Of course you are."

"I said some really awful things and I take them all back, I didn't mean any of them."

"You see that's where you're lying," I smiled at him. "You meant all of it. Every part. Every word. You meant it and I know that you did."

"Dylan,"

"You hurt me Jaxton. You did. And I'm not gonna lie that I didn't miss what we had and pretend like we're okay right now when we're not, but I'm not gonna let you feel like a slave or a bird without wings by being friends with you since that's all I've ever done, so you better get the fuck out of my face or I will slap you so hard that your head will do a three sixty and let me tell you that it will not be a pretty sight." I said, pointing a finger at him.

He shook his head. "Those weren't my words, those were the words Johnathan planted in my head and I was really so stupid to fall for them. I really can't stop blaming myself for our fight. I hurt you and I know it and I can't live with myself because you mean a lot to me and I...I broke your trust. I'm sorry. I'm so stupid, yes. I should have told you about my mom but I was scared and I know I still should have told you about her because you're my best friend and you always have my back no matter what happens, but I didn't and it's all on me and I can't forgive myself for the horrible things I said. You're not an awful person, you're an amazing best friend. You're nothing like Johnathan, you're better. I don't care about your past or the situation, you're way better and even if you're more evil then I'd rather stick with your kind of evil cause who wouldn't?"

I chuckled softly. "Oh wow, it's funny how suddenly you think I'm the good guy. You know, we are supposed to be friends, brothers even, but you never waste so much time to stab me in the back every single time, Jaxton. It has become so predictable, and then you say the meanest things, the pettiest things every single time we have a fight. You come for me where it hurts and I gotta give it to you, that is smart, but you are toxic, Jaxton." I smiled. "And I am toxic for you too, apparently, so fucking leave me alone for your own good and for mine. Go suck Johnathan's cock, maybe he'll treat you better."

I turned to leave and he grabbed my hand, I looked at it and back at him with a deathly glare. Jaxton slowly let go off me as he swallowed and pulled his hand back, his eyes filled with fear.

"I-I fucked up, big time. And I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry for everything, I'm a horrible person." He apologised . "We're friends and we're to stick together for a very long time and you're so not getting rid of me," he chuckled and so did I, I looked up at him and his eyes were red, tears threatening to be spilled like mine. "These few days have been the worst days of my life cause there's no savage teenager to see in the morning, there's no teenager around me to say crazy x-rated things and to tell me things that would make me laugh. All you've been through is pain this week and I haven't been able to help which means I'm a horrible person and a horrible best friend."

"God, you're making me so emotional right now and I didn't have plans on crying today." I said as I wiped of mine. "

He laughed and I laughed along with him. "Hugs?"

"Fuck yourself, Jaxton." I replaced my smile with a dirty look and his smile vanished slowly. "You just figured you were a horrible person? Well, look who decided to get on the obvious train, welcome aboard, Jaxton Olson." I gave him a small clap.

"Goodbye, Jaxton Olson, and don't act like you know me because I am not in for this shit. You think we would become friends again and then you would do the same thing, and the truth is that I am not in for this cycle." I told him.

"Dylan, please listen to me-" He said in a shaky voice.

"All I have ever done was be there for you. Tried to make you happy and make sure the darkness does not fucking take you. All I have ever done is try to be that friend you needed, that was all I ever did. I wanted a brother but you never failed to mock me for the one I lost."

"Dylan,"

"And you expect me to forgive you?"  I laughed. "Delusional."

"I am so so so sorry."  He said in a shaky voice.  "I really am, I love you, Dylan, and I have been a bad friend, please forgive me." He said as a tear fell from his eye.

I sighed.

He really was someone I loved, the friend I needed and it hurt me that this was how we were now.

"I'm sorry too." I patted his back.

"You forgive me?"

"You poor thing." I smiled at him. "I don't."  I said and his face was full of shock and fear.

I turned to leave and standing in front of me was Jon, looking at me with furrowed brows. "Dylan," he called softly.

"Don't." I warned him. "Don't say it."

"This is a new time, Dylan. We are fighting for what's right at this moment and I think we will need all hands on deck."

"I don't need him." I said through gritted teeth.  "I do not fucking need him."

"You need him."

"I do not need Jaxton."

"You and Jaxton are like Carly and Sam, or something." Jon said and cupped my cheeks. "I know he has hurt you a whole lot, and I can tell he is sorry about that,  but you need to forgive him, just this once. We are trying to execute a plan, to stop Johnathan." He whispered to me. "Don't you think we need all the help we can get? I believe Jaxton can be of use at this moment, he is on the talent thingy, he's singing, so I heard. Forgive him because you do need him." Jon said and I swallowed, looking away from him.  "Please."

"You cannot make me forgive him for this. Every time, Jon. Every time i try my very best to be there for him, I would take a fucking bullet for him and bleed for him, but he never fails to look for a FUCKING REASON!" I turned to scowl at him. "To make me feel like shit. I forgave him the first time after he made mockery of my dead brother, using it against me, Jon, and I think about it a whole lot." I swallowed. "And I still forgave him," I shrugged. "And now, he chose Johnathan's words over mine, how do I get past the fact that i get betrayed every time by the people I love?"

"Nobody's perfect, Dylan." Jon said and I chuckled.

"Right."

"I know all I ever did was cause you pain, Dylan." Jaxton said and I rolled my eyes. "I am selfish and did not think of you even or how you felt. I am sorry for the pain that I have caused you and honestly, yes, it is unacceptable and unforgivable what I have said and done to you." Jaxton's voice was filled with regret.

"I love you, Dylan, and I have thought long and hard about what a shitty friend I am and how I need to do better, as a friend, as a brother because that is what you are to me. I am so fucking sorry, and you can take all the time you need, you do not need to forgive me right away, I fucked up, I fucked up big time and I am so fucking sorry, Dylan."

I sighed and closed my eyes for a few seconds before turning to Jaxton. "I-"

Jon placed his hands on my shoulders and I took in a deep breath. "You messed up."

"I know."

"You hurt me, here." I pointed at my chest, where my heart was.

"I know." Jaxton's voice broke.

I looked at him for the longest.

Two.

I counted mentally.

"I forgive you."

Jaxton's eyes widen. "R-Really?"

No.

"Mmhmm," I nodded. "Of course."

"I promise to be a better friend, Dylan, I promise."

"It doesn't mean that i will forget what you did. I'm only saying the words you wanna hear, Jaxton. But you'll have to fix every other thing yourself. I am human too, and the only reason you have gotten away with being a shitty friend, is because I let you."

Jaxton nodded. "I'm sorry."

"If you ever hurt him again," Jon spoke. "Ever." He added. "I love you, Jaxton, but you would be on your own, cause I won't be able to help you."

"And he's not joking, because there will not be a next time."

"I promise, I won't mess up again." He said as he wiped his tears. He moved closer to me for a hug and I took one backwards.

"No." I told him.

Jaxton nodded. "Yeah, sorry." He sniffed. "Too early."

"Hey, I see you guys made up." A voice said.

I turned to my right and spotted Dominic smiling at us and holding two glasses of drinks. I was indeed shocked that he was here. Dominic was also dressed in a black suit that fitted perfectly, he had a pretty smile on his face and his hair and combed nicely. I had to admit he looked hot, everyone who I have met in Eastwood showed me they could rock a suit today.

"Dom?" I smiled. "You took my advice?"

He shrugged. "It was only fair, I didn't have a date and you were right after all. So I asked him."

I smiled and gave Dom a hug. "Hi."

Jaxton smiled. "Hey, I'm glad that you advised him to ask me, thank you."

"Anything," I replied as I pulled away. "You look good."

"You look amazing."

I giggled. "Thanks. It's totally nice to see you again, you've become scarce."

"Yeah, been um...more busy these days, I got a job so."

"Yeah, he works at HOES now."

I blinked. "You work at Hoes?" I arched my brow.

"Yeah, just for now."

"I guess we'll be getting free smoothies now, and food."

"Mmhmm." Jaxton shook his head.

"Maybe." Dominic chuckled.

The music changed to Lorde's green light and became louder and everyone started to dance, I looked around. "I have to go now, I need to find Henry." I said and walked away. I didn't know where to search for him, he did say he was gonna go get drinks but that was where I was standing and he wasn't there.

I sighed. "Great, just great." I murmured, feeling disappointed. "He suddenly disappeared."

"Doesn't that suck?" A voice said, I didn't need to look to know it was Johnathan. I rolled my eyes and poured myself a drink, ignoring him.

"You look really handsome today I must confess." He said and I still didn't look at him or say a word. "You should at least look at me."

"Why? To curse myself with bad luck? No thank you." I said and sipped from my cup.

Juice.

I need something stronger

"I haven't seen you in a suit in years, you've never been to homecoming ever since Connor."

My heart skipped a beat at the mention of Connor's name and I felt guilt rush me, this juice wasn't doing much work.

"I wonder what made you come today." He said and finally I turned to him. Johnathan was putting on a white fitted suit, of course he'd want to also be different.

"Someone made me."

"Henry?" He arched his brow. "A rumor has been going about tonight."

I smiled. "Yes, Henry. My date. How could I have ever said no to him and not come over?"

"Today just reminds me of that very day when it all happened." He smiled. "When you ruined his life and made me fall for you the more, you know that was quite funny."

He knew the buttons to press, my anger buttons. My guilt buttons. "Go fuck yourself."

"How's Connor anyways? Last I heard, he still can't walk." He said with a smirk and drank from his glass, definitely alcohol.

I took a step towards him angrily when a hand held mine and I stopped in my tracks, I turned and behind me was Henry. He had a murderous look on but said nothing and just glared daggers at Johnathan, he looked away from Johnathan and at me and shook his head. He walked closer to me and cupped my cheeks gently with a smile. "Breathe." He muttered.

I did as he said and let out a deep breath. "Don't listen to him, okay? Don't think about anything, just think about me and this moment."

I smiled at him and nodded. "Yeah, thank you."

He replied with a smile and I turned to Johnathan with a smile of my own. "It was nice chatting with you Johnathan but if you'd excuse my date and I, we're gonna avoid you now."

"You really let him touch you like that?" He said, his eyes filled with anger and something else that I couldn't quite place.

"He's not you." I said and soon felt Henry grab my hand.

"If you bother him again I'll break your face." Henry warned and pulled me away.

I sighed. "Thanks for coming to my rescue, I would have done something to ruin it all."

"Don't let anything he says gets to you. I'm glad I came at the right time."

"I was starting to think you ditched me." I said and he stopped in his tracks, he turned to face me with a frown.

"What?"

"I mean, I didn't see you anywhere and I...I thought-"

"Hey," he stopped me."I didn't and would never ditch you. I couldn't find you around and ended up finding Zach and had to talk to him about something, I swear I was holding our drinks but once I saw that Johnathan boy talking to you, I pushed them against someone and I don't even know who." He chuckled.

I smiled. "I'm sorry I thought such thing."

"I asked you to come with me, I don't regret it."

I couldn't stop smiling, cupid really did get me. I looked behind him and spotted Raven, she was putting on a really long red dress and bloody lipstick, her hair coiled as well but not as much as Quinn's who I had to admit looked pretty tonight. Raven was sitting alone and texting on her phone, she didn't look interested in all of this.

"You should go talk to her."

"Hmm?" I looked away from her and at Henry who was also looking at her.

"Raven."

I shook my head. "No, I..no. I still have something to do."

The song quickly changed to Lana Del Rey's, videogames and I smiled. "I do love this song."

(Play song here please. )

Everyone began to move closer to their dates and dance formally with them, some had no shame and their hands were everywhere around their dates. The lights became a little darker and it seemed like Henry and I were the only ones who weren't dancing even though we weren't.

"You wanna dance? I know tonight's all planned out for an evil mission but it's not complete without a dance." I said as I looked around, I took my eyes off the crowd and placed them on my date. "So, Mr. Arrogant, perverted, kissing addicted, most hottest guy with the perfect cheekbones, Ashcroft, will you dance with me?"

He laughed and rubbed his thumb against my hand, I had totally forgotten our hands were still intertwined, just such little affection made me smile the more. "Yes, Mr. Sassy, crazy, no filter, most beautiful boy, Dexwell. I will dance with you." He grinned.

"Well then." I blushed, smiling like crazy. We both walked to the dancefloor, we faced each other and stared like what seemed like ages. He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him, really close and I placed my hands on his shoulders. Not once did I look away from those green eyes, I fell for him over and over. I liked that he was staring back me and smiling, we moved to the rhythm of the song and I wanted this moment to be forever.

"You're beautiful." He said.

"I know, you've told me that a lot today."

"It's the truth."

I laughed. "I'm pretty sure there's someone here hotter than I am."

"Obviously me and only me." He replied and I laughed the more.

"Oh my God, you're so full of yourself."

He smiled. "But you're the most beautiful boy in the world."

"Henry! That's a bit too much and even I know it."

"Hey, if I say you're the most beautiful boy then-"

"Then I am." I finished up with a smile.

"Good. Now say you're beautiful." He instructed as we danced.

"Are you kidding?"

"No. It's just the two of us and this moment so say it."

I sighed. "I'm beautiful."

"Say it like you mean it."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm beautiful."

He arched his brow.

I chuckled. "I'm beautiful! Okay, that's enough." I laughed.

He grinned and just smiled at me while I laughed. "Okay fine, I'm beautiful. If Henry Ashcroft says I'm beautiful tonight and not handsome which should be the right compliment but it doesn't matter now, then I'm fucking beautiful." I said with so much confidence.

He smiled widely and I giggled, I looked into those eyes of his again and I felt safe. I felt I was in the clouds. Right now it was just the two of us. He was right. We were the only ones here and it was just us and this moment, I wanted to kiss him. I wanted every bit of him. I wanted him.

Without warning and as if just reading my mind, his lips crashed against mine, catching me off guard. My eyes widen and I was a little shocked cause I had been thinking the same thing but then I kissed him back and slowly closed my eyes.

Sparks flew in every direction, butterflies sang in my stomach, the world slowly disappeared around us, we were the only ones left in the auditorium. Everything disappeared, all of our worries, our problems, my mind was blank and Henry replaced it. I forgot about everything, about tonight, about the plan and just thought about this moment. He made me feel like nothing mattered at all and weren't worth my own time. It was just an innocent kiss yet it was a warm one. I honestly never thought a kiss as innocent as this could be so intimate and electrifying but Henry was always there to prove me wrong. His lips were moving in perfect sync, his hands feeling my waist; he pulled me closer and I wrapped my arms around his shoulder, the kiss became deeper, more passionate, more electrifying. And finally we pulled away, we had to catch our breath. We stared at each other while breathing fast and a smile grew on our face at the same time.

"Wow." He breathed.

I chuckled. "Wow."

He looked behind me and cleared his throat. "Uh, I think we got all the attention here." He said, I looked away from him and looked around and behold he was right, everyone was staring eight at us and had circled us. Phones were out, flashes on camera's, squeals and some actually freaking clapped. I couldn't really see the faces around.

"Uh oh, I think we...shit." I blushed. "We should go." I said and turned to go but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him, our chests bumped. "Henry! What are you-"

"If they want a show then we'll give it to them." He said with furrowed brows, I was about to disagree when he kissed me again and I did the one thing I could, I kissed him back and when the crowd cooed and clapped like the set of people who couldn't mind their fucking business, I smiled and kissed him the more.

**

We danced for a while, the night was young and amazing. People kept walking up to us and complimenting us and calling us a couple.

"Oh, you two are so cute."

"Oh, you make a great couple."

"Aw, I ship you both hard."

It didn't stop and we didn't correct them when they called us a couple, we just smile. The DJ stopped the music and screamed 'Time to rock!' through the microphone before playing 'work' by Rihanna.

"Do you remember when you danced this song at Quinn's house?" Henry asked.

I groaned. "So embarrassing! I'm sure that's when half the school knew I was gay, when I twerked."

He laughed. "It was really cool though."

"It wasn't." I laughed. "And you turned it to a fucking competition."

He chuckled. "I'm sorry, but anything to be next to the crazy Dylan Dexwell."

"I hate you."

"Me too." He smiled.

"Hey," Gwen ran to us, I turned to her.

"What's up?"

"It's time."

"Oh,"

"Are you sure the Frost's are coming?" She asked.

"I hope so." I said, already panicking. "I need them here."

"My uncle will be here in ten minutes."

"Well they can come perform, I'll be the last."

She nodded and walked away. Today, some students were gonna perform whatever talent they have and this was the perfect time.

"You ready?" Henry asked as we walked.

"Yeah, I am." I said as I dialed Jon's number. "Lord help me."

"Hey, I've got you. It'll be fine. I promise." He assured me and I believed his words.

I smiled. "Thank you." I said and placed the phone close to my ear.

"Hey,"

"Hey, sucks that I haven't seen you yet but we're about to start."

"Yeah, she told me. I saw you though, when you had your tongue down Henry's-"

"Shut up and do your job. Don't let him out of your sight."

He laughed. "Yes boss. Good luck.

I sighed. "Yeah, I need it." I said and hanged up, I looked up at Henry. "I need you to do something for me."

"Sure. Name it."

"I need you to watch for Raven's parents, if you spot them just text me and bring them to the auditorium."

He nodded. "Okay," he said and walked out.

I turned and walking towards me was Jaxton and Dominic, I faked a smile. "Hey guys."

Jaxton smiled. "Hey, I heard you're performing too."

I nodded. "Yeah, I am."

"What's really going on, Dylan?" Dom asked.

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

"You're up to something." Jaxton said.

"No, I'm not." I denied.

"I'm not gonna ask what it is, I know you Dylan. Just...do you need any help?" He asked.

I shook my head and smiled. "No, I don't."

"Are you sure?"

"Mmhmm."

He nodded. "Okay, well um, I have to go get ready for my performance."

"You're singing?" I questioned.

He nodded. "Yeah."

Oh shit. Jon mentioned it earlier.

"Actually," I purred my lips. "There's something you can do for me."

"What?"

"You're gonna be the second to the last to sing, Jaxton. Find a way to make you the second to the last person, and you're going to take your time until I say you can end your song. I'll stand next to Dominic so you keep your eyes on us, don't stop until I say so."

He nodded slowly, looking confused. "Okay?"

"Just do as I say, okay?"

"Okay. Okay."

"I'll speak to Gwen, now first I want you to go speak to Raven and tell her she has to wait and watch your performance, she has to listen to you sing, okay? I don't want her leaving at any moment."

He nodded. "Alright." He said and walked away.

I turned to Dominic. "So, are you...two a thing now?"

"I don't know." He shrugged with a smile. "All I can say is we kissed last night."

I gasped dramatically. "Oh my word! Finally! Oh my God! I wanna know every detail."

"Maybe later. I'm glad Jax asked me to accompany him here but...I've kinda been getting the stares and I don't really feel comfortable here."

"This is Eastwood high, everyone here is a demon. But don't worry, I'll be by your side until he's done singing, at least you are comfortable around me" I patted his shoulder.

He chuckled. "Thanks a lot, I appreciate you helping me."

I smiled at him. "You're talking about Jaxton and not about what I just said, aren't you?"

"Yeah, I am. Mixed emotions."

I laughed. "You're a good guy, Dominic." I patted his shoulder again.

Then the performances started, Raven was still here waiting for Jaxton's performance with Zach by her side. He was everywhere she went, it made me wonder. Everybody gathered to watch everyone performing on stage, Dominic and I stayed where Jaxton would be able to see us and then Gwen called Jaxton next, as she walked out he walked to the stage and in front of the microphone. Dominic and I cheered him and he looked at us and smiled.

"Um, this song is dedicated to my best friend. It's to let him know that I understand what he's been going through even when he thinks no one does." He said as he looked right at me, my brows knitted as I looked at him.

What was he talking about? He didn't. He couldn't.

Fucking cunt.

"Your boyfriend is so cringe." I grimaced in disgust.

"Shh, it's starting." Dom said with a smile.

Jaxton placed his hands on the microphone while I watched with a blank stare.

And then he began to sing a song I was familiar with, a song I actually did love.  "Knocking on heaven's door".

"Mama take this badge from me
I can't use it anymore
It's getting dark too dark to see
I feel I'm knockin' on heaven's door"

I had played the song for Jaxton weeks ago on a certain afternoon to get him to love the artist. And here he was singing to try get his way fully into my life. I had to admit, Jaxton's voice was smooth, perfect even, but I wasn't here to listen to him sing like this was Americans got talent and I was Simon Cowell.

"Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door, oh
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Mama put my guns in the ground
I can't shoot them anymore
That cold black cloud is comin' around
And I feel I'm knockin' on heaven's door
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Feels like I'm
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Feels like I'm
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Oh, knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Feels like I'm
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door
Knock knock knockin' on heaven's door"

Jaxton's voice was innocent, it was just as great as the first time I heard him sing. He was so into the song and I could also feel the pain in his voice, it was referred to me. I did want to leave. Jaxton was about to end the song when I rolled my finger, asking him to continue and not end yet. He understood quickly and kept repeating the last part over and over and even went as far as pitching and it sounded like this was on purpose, Jaxton couldn't end the song just yet cause it wasn't time. Minutes later, my phone vibrated in my hands, I checked the text and it was from Henry.

"They're here; we're on our way to the auditorium."

I looked away from it and at Jaxton, I tried signalling him to stop but he was now so into the song that he wasn't looking and his eyes were shut.

"J-Jaxton!" I tries calling him but he wasn't listening and then I shouted. "Okay! Enough! Woo!" and he did, when I felt eyes on me I began to clap to avoid the eyes and Dominic joined me since it was becoming awkward and soon everyone began to clap too. Jaxton blinked and awkwardly smiled before walking out of the stage.

I sighed and looked at Dominic. "I'm next."

"Good luck." He smiled.

I nodded. "Yeah, thanks." I said and turned, walking away.

"Really?" Jaxton scowled as he walked towards me.

"Did you want to die on that stage?" I asked as I walked towards him. "I tried to tell you to stop but you weren't looking."

"I j-"

"Dad? Mom?"

Raven's voice.

We both turned and saw her walking towards her parents, Henry walked away from them and towards me. Her dad was wearing one of his expensive dark blue suits and his wife had a black short gown on.

"Is that her-?"

I nodded. "Yup."

"Her father looks really scary."

"Yeah, imagine having dinner with them."

"Well, what's next?" Henry asked.

Some of the students began to stare at Raven and her parents, i began making my way towards them.

"Are you okay?" Her mom asked.

"I'm fine! What are you both doing here?" Raven asked them.

"What do you mean? We were called to come here or something bad was gonna happen to you." Mr. Frost said, looking confused.

"What do you mean? Who called you?"

"I called them." I said from behind her.

She turned and frowned once she saw me. "You? What the fuck, Dylan?"

"Do you think this is funny? Asking us to come over here and leave all the important things that we-"

"Mr. Frost, please. Just....give me a few minutes to show you what I want to show you."

"What could you possibly want to show my parents that you have to call them behind my back and have them come here."

"Don't shout at me, Raven." I frowned at her. "Be careful the way you speak to me."

"Up next, Dylan Dexwell." Gwen announced and everyone clapped.

I walked away from them and while walking to the stage, I stopped beside Henry. "Don't let them leave."

He nodded. "You'll do great. Go expose that bastard."

I smiled at him and made my way towards the stage. I stood in front of the microphone and smiled at the crowd. "Hello, Eastwood high." They cheered. "Uh, since I have been the talk of the week, the month and the night it's only fair that I come up on stage and do something and no, it will not be of me kissing the hottest boy here." They all laughed. "When you're best friends with someone, it means you've learned to trust the person. To believe that person and that he or she won't ever betray you. Having a best friend means having a lot of memories, precious and funny ones and hurtful ones as well. But when you forget everything, the moments you've spent together for a little mistake that wasn't even that person's fault, what do you call it?" I asked, my eyes never leaving Raven. I looked away from her and around the crowd, finally I spotted Jon and beside him was Johnathan who had his hand around Quinn's waist, she was giggling about something he was whispering to her. Jon gave me a secretive thumbs up and then I saw Gwen walk over to a man who I'd suspect is her uncle, the man we've been waiting for.

I took out my phone and went straight to the recording, I placed my phone close to the microphone and pressed play.

Silence

."Of course, I had to run into you"

"Hello, Dylan."

Once Johnathan's voice was heard all over the speakers, he slowly looked away from Quinn and at me with wide eyes.

"Zach did a wonderful job hitting you, I wish he did more."

His evil laugh. "Yeah well if I wanted him dead now then he'd be dead but like I said, I do have plans for him and no, I won't kill him."

"You know you're psychotic."

"The best kind, huh? Do you think the joker would let me join his club?"

"This isn't funny, johnny."

He did look panicked, exactly what I wanted.

"I like when you call me that."

"Why did you lie?" I remembered asking him.

"I didn't."

"TURN IT OFF!" He screamed.

"I know what happened. You know I know."

I looked away from him and at Raven who looked shocked and was carefully listening.

"That what? I had to protect myself, I know who you are and what you can do. You'd probably want to get the truth out of me and I need to save myself."

Johnathan turned to go but Jon grabbed his arm tightly and said something to him.

"Why don't you admit what you did?"

"That I almost had sex with Raven against her will? Oh God no, I can't. My reputation would be tarnished and my father would beat the crap out of me but you know that."

The truth was finally out.

The crowd gasped with shock and began to whisper, Raven looked down to the ground and her parents looked extremely staggered. Her mom covered her mouth in shock and her father clenched his fist.

"Then why do it? You could have any girl you want and yet you tried to rape her."

"I wanted to hurt you, Dylan. That's what I want. And if I get the opportunity to do it to her then I will and I won't let her escape this time, I'll make sure I fuck her hard till she cries."

The sound of me slapping him at that moment echoed through the speakers.

"You're disgusting, you're a fucking rapist."

"Call me whatever you want to, stormy. I don't care," he laughed. "As long as it's you, I'll take whatever name you call me."

"You are going to ruin her life."

"I know, I'll ruin all their lives and you know I can."

I stopped the recording is there and cleared my throat. "Well, what a dramatic turn this took. So as we all know now, Johnathan has been harassing Raven. His parents and Raven's parents are about to become business partners and every time he gets to go over there, he threatens her and sexually harasses her like the pig he is. This tape is enough proof." I sighed.

"We've been trying to get Raven justice because I know Johnathan more than anyone and he always gets away with everything if there's no proof and he makes sure there's none. He's our school's very own Bryce Walker." I clapped my hands for him on stage. "Always up to no good. He blocked Raven's number from my cellphone when I asked her to call me during their last dinner and that turned Raven against me cause he hurt her that same night and her parents didn't know about any of this. Raven couldn't tell them either cause they're always busy and they don't really care about what goes on in her life." I shrugged, and spotted him trying to leave but Henry and Zach blocked his part.

"The truth here is, Johnathan Smith, the boy y'all wanna be friends with, is a fucking rapist. He's done horrible things to me. To Jaxton. To Raven. Everyone that I love and no one ever knows about it. I even had one of my best friends, Jon, pretend to be friends with him to watch him and report his every move. Johnathan lied to protect himself but I remember promising Raven that very first day that I was gonna make Johnathan confess in front of the whole school. He didn't have to come up here to do it " I smirked at the terrified looking Johnathan.

"You've been careful ever since the beginning till that very day, Johnny." I smiled at him, while Quinn looked at him in horror and then at Raven with a bit of sympathy as Raven teared up.

"And now, all I can say to you is-" I cocked my brow at him.

"Checkmate." I smirked evilly.

He glared.

Author's Note.

Hi guys, I know I took so much time to update. Remember I said I traveled and I don't get inspiration here, had to download several songs for inspiration and tried to finish this quick.

This chapter wasn't an easy one and has over 11k words so I'm gonna say I tried a little.

You're gonna get the next update in two days cause I'll be going back home tomorrow and although I wanted to do a double update, I can't because I had some things written down for the next chapter in my really big book and I forgot to take it with me so I'm screwed and can't write it. What's funny is that I wrote this scene about seven months ago and finally I get to use it but really can't remember the words and I don't wanna rush it. Forgive me for ending it this way.
