"Ma! MAAAA!" You screamed into the distance as you approached your home. "Daddy! DADDDYYYYYY! DUE! DUEEEE!"

Zuko covered his ears. You certainly had the lung capacity to wake the entire swamp.

"Yes, baby?" Your mother appeared first. "Oh my! Is this him?! Why ain't you say that!? I ain't ready fer company!"

"Nah, nah! Ma, just come out, everything's fine!" You ran the boat into the ground and then began to try and get out of the boat.

"No, let me help you, YN." Zuko stopped you and quickly jumped out of the boat, pulling it and you further onto land. Then, he offered his hand and helped you ashore.

"Thank ya, Zu." You smiled at him. "But I ain't that far along. You ain't even know I were pregnant."

"But I know now." He nodded as he turned around to greet the growing group of people.

"Everyone!" You called out, "This is Zuko, he's the daddy for ma baby."

Everyone began chattering and then your mother and father walked up. There wasn't really a protocol for this situation, since people never really got pregnant by outsiders. But outsiders had definitely come before.

"Ma name is Fei, I'm YN's Ma." She held out her hand. "Is you from the Fire Nation?"

Huu looked at Zuko suspiciously and then circled around him a few times, muttering his name a few times. Then, he called Due over and whispered to him as Zuko shook your mother's hand.

"Yeah, I am." He answered, looking over at the two men as they spoke. "I think you know my Uncle; Iroh."

Huu suddenly stopped talking and then nodded and laughed.

"Ah, so you're the Fire Lord." He bowed slightly and motioned for everyone else to follow his lead. "Welcome to the Swamp."

"That ain't necessary." You laughed. "He ain't nothin' special!"

"Hey!" Zuko looked at you. "I am at least a little bit special. But YN's right, that isn't necessary... I did, after all, get YN pregnant and not come back to take care of her right away."

"We ain't think yous was comin' back at all!" Due laughed a hoarse laugh. "So you done proved us wrong!"

"Low expectations..." Zuko mumbled. "Well, I can't stay too long... But I wanted to stay and get to know where YN grew up, and her family."

"So you stayin' for dinner then?" Fei asked as the group began to disperse.

"Yes. Likely a few days. Up to a week." Zuko nodded.

"Oh, good!" She smiled. "I'll make ya ma special bug stew!"

"Oh... good..." Zuko tried to smile.

"But first, let's getcha inta some better swamp clothes!" Fei smiled a more mischevious smile. "Iroh really liked 'em when he came."

Zuko gave an even worse smile as you laughed. You thought that maybe he was regretting this, but at the same time, you knew that you would be making this up to him later. In fact, you could hardly wait to make it up to him.

And yet, you couldn't stop laughing as your mother dragged him away, likely to ask him a bunch of questions.

Your father came up to you, however and spoke.

"Good catch, YN." He patted your back. "But is he takin' the baby?"

"We ain't know yet." You sighed.

"Is he takin' you?" He asked again.

"I ain't know that either..."
