"My god... what was that?" Pat thought out loud as the train suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere. His sister looked at him quite frightened. It was already dark outside, the only light they could see was that from the many windows of the train reflecting on the snow.

"What should we do now Pat?" Pa asked.

"I don't know... let me think... ok, you stay here, I'll go out and see what I can find... don't move ok? I'll come back..." Pat replied and walked out of their cabin. He couldn't see anybody in the long corridors of his wagon, he walked until he reached the exit and opened the door, the cold wind immediately hit his face.

"Shit..." he whispered and leaned outside to check the situation.

It was incredibly noisy. The engineer was releasing the steam from the locomotive to avoid an excessive pressure inside the boiler, the result was an incredibly loud noise, Pat tried to shout at the few men near the train who were checking the condition of the locomotive but none of them heard him.

It was getting cold inside the train, Pran decided to go back to his cabin and pick a coat. On his way from the smoking car, though the restaurant to the first class wagon he noticed that a steward was knocking on the door of each cabin.

"Sir, you should go to the restaurant car, the waiter will give you some hot tea" the steward said to Korn as he opened the door.

"T...thanks, I'll come in a moment..." Korn replied, still in pain after Wai's kick.

Pran continued to walk until he reached his cabin. He took a warm jacket and locked the door. He then stopped in front of Pat's cabin and knocked.

"Pran, what may I do for you?" Pa asked as she saw Pran waiting close to the door. He smiled at her and replied:

"The stewards are gathering the passengers in the restaurant car. I came to pick a jacket... it is getting quite cold... you will probably find Korn there as well" Pran explained. He then looked rapidly inside the cabin.

"Ummm...where is your brother though? He wasn't at the restaurant so I thought that he was still here with you" Pran asked.

"Oh, he left a minute ago to check the situation... he didn't came back, I'm still waiting for him" Pa replied.

Pran's expression changed immediately, he was visibly worried now, he was looking around nervously, he then looked back at Pat's sister and told her to go to the restaurant car with the rest of the passengers, saying that he would have looked for her brother. She thanked him and left.

"Where is that idiot now..." Pran murmured as he walked to the exit of the wagon since he heard someone shouting from there. He noticed the opened door and immediately felt the cold wind that was filling the whole compartment.

"Pat! Are you alright!? Pat!" Pran shouted and jumped off the train to help the guy who was whining in the snow.

"P... Pran? What are you doing here?..." Pat asked

"I knew that there was something wrong... come on, let me help you... how the hell did you fell?"

"I wanted to see what was going on... but the steps were slippery and I fell..." Pat responded as Pran managed to help him to stand up. They both went back inside.

"You're freezing... I think that you should change your clothes or you will get sick..." Pran remarked, looking at Pat's wet shirt.

"I'm fine... you don't have to worry..." Pat replied.

Pran sighed and tried to ignore his attitude but after just a few steps Pat sank to the floor and started shivering uncontrollably.

"Pat! Pat! It isn't the right moment for your stupid jokes! Pat!" Pran shouted.

"it... it's nothing... I just... need to sleep a little bit..." Pat replied.

A steward saw them and ran to Pat to help him.

"We should take him to his cabin" the steward said, Pran nodded and immediately helped him. He told the steward that he could leave and then started changing Pat's clothes. He covered him with a warm blanket and tried to wake him up.

"Pat?"

"I'm... I'm fine..."

"Alright, I'll bring some tea for you, I'll tell your sister that you are here so that she doesn't have to worry..." Pran said and turned to leave.

"Pran..."

"Yes?"

"Th...thank you"
