How long I've yearned for summer to come. How long I've waited for the time to not wake up early for school. How I wished for summer even at the beginning of the school year, only to be bored not even half way though. Four weeks. That's how long school has been out and I'm already bored out of my mind.

I sigh just as the door bell decided to ring. Getting up from the couch I go over to throw open the door.

"Let's hang out. We haven't done that in a while," Lindsey walks in looking around with sunglasses in hand.

"Lindsey, what are you doing here?" I asked an absentminded question.

"I'm here to rescue you from your boredom. Now, put on a hot outfit and let's go do something fun!"

I sighed. Then smiled, "How'd you know I was bored?"

She shrugged, "Lucky guess, go get dressed. We're gonna have some fun."

Running up the stairs I rush to my room with Lindsey following after me. I shed my sleeping shorts and T-shirt trading them for a white baggy button up and light washed shorts.

I threw my day old curled hair into a messy bun, and slapped on some mascara, high light, and eyeliner.

"Twenty minutes, new world record," Lindsey sat on my bed phone in hand looking me up and down.

"Must be, ready to go?"

She nods her head and we make our way down stairs where I run into River and Camille.

"Where you off to so fast little sister?" River and his girlfriend were on the couch looking back at me.

"Out for a day of fun with my best friend of course!" I smile through my lies.

He nods.

Outside Lindsey and I hop into her car, "so where are we going?" She scrolls through her phone for a second.

"Trampoline park. Jonna and a few others are going to be there. We can see what everyone wants to do after that," she backs up and out of my drive way starting the twenty minute drive to the trampoline park. Throughout the whole twenty minutes Lindsey blared the radio and we screeched along.

Some of the best twenty minutes spent this summer.

At long last Lindsey parks in front of a warehouse looking building. At the front door Jonna, Sam, and a bunch of other people stood. Hopping out the car we joined them.

"Natalia! I thought you were hiding out!" Jonna joked around.

"Me hiding? Never," I smiled as She opened her arms to give me a hug.

"Let's go inside before I sweat off my makeup," Lindsey spoke.

"You know your highness, you are going to sweat off your makeup either way," Sams spoke up throwing his arm around her shoulder.

She removed his arm, "I don't sweat and not interested move on."

I roll my eyes as he throws his arm around my shoulder, "would you be interest?"

As he winked I shoved him, "never."

"That's not what you were saying a few days ago."

My eyes widened.

"You gonna reveal my sex life like that you jerk!" I laugh, "this is where I friend zone you. I only do one night stands."

Everyone in the group 'ohhh's' and says 'burn' as I walk inside swaying my hips. The cool refreshing air, and smell of greasy food hit me all in one. The smell of sweat was masked by the rubber of all the trampolines. Our group walked up to the cash registers ready to pay our way in.

"Have you all been here before?" The cashier asked. We all nod our head.

"It'll be one transaction. I'm paying for all."

Jonna comes to stand beside me, "I see she's using big words, but I can pay for all of us."

I shake my head and hand the guy my black credit card.

"On me."

"Twelve people for how many hours?" I looked behind me at the group with a questioning look.

"Two hours."

"Your total will be $480," I don't bother cringing at the price as they swipe my car. Money means absolutely nothing if you don't spend it, "you will all get purple wrist bands and socks. When you hear your wristband color called over the intercom your time is up. Enjoy."

After everyone got socks  and a wristband, we hopped onto the trampolines.

The guys were trying to out show the girls by doing back handsprings, and front flips. I stood off to the side most of the time. Sipping on a slurpee and watching Jonna and Carley, they're on the cheer team so they can do some pretty cool tricks.

"You're not going to do any cool flips like the rest of them?" a girl walks up beside me as I'm watching everyone zip line throughout the entire place.

I shake my head, "I think my slurpee has my full attention right now."

"It must be a pretty good slurpee to miss all the activities." Now she is just trying to hold a conversation.

Taking a sideways glance at her, I drink in her appearance. She has a small delicate physique to her. What attracts me to her though is her blonde hair.

Noticing that I had been checking her out, her cheeks heat up and a light blush creeps around.

"It'd be even better if it had a little kick to it," I finally said.

She nods her head, "I think I can help you with that," she looks around and takes her backpack off her back and pulls out a water bottle with clear liquid.

Although I do not think the clear liquid inside is water.

She pours a bit inside my cup. I smirk and swirl it around with my straw, "I'm Natalia by the way."

After taking a swing from the bottle she looks back at me, "I know. I'm Jaleena. I came with Hakeem's group."

I nod my head, "ahh so you're here with our group. I haven't seen you around. I mean I'd have remembered a face as beautiful as yours," I turn my body to face her.

"I spend summers here with my dad. I live a few houses down from Hakeem, that's how I know him."

I nod my head, "so you're here every summer?"

She shrugs, "give or take. It's more or less every other summer. Some summers we'll spend in Europe."

"I like Europe."

"I actually have family in Italy."

"You don't look Italian though."

She laughs, "sadly I got all my mom's features. Right down to her blonde hair. I think that's why my dad likes to have me around so much, because I remind him of her."

"Well I don't blame him."

"What now?" Lindsey asked. The two hours were finally up as I slump against the car.

"I gotta get to work. Natalia I'll pay you back, yah," I shake my head at the blonde as she tries to leave.

"Just call out."

"I cannot."

I grab her wrist, "please, for me?"

At this point everyone was watching us. No one tells me no. They knew that as well as I did.

"Umm, fine."

I smiled, "great."

"A few of us should be headed out also. Um, Jaleena, are you sure about staying?" Hakeem asked her.

She nods her head, "I'll be fine."

"Mhmm," he looked back at me.

"I'll take great care of her."

"That's what I'm afraid of," he whispered under his breath loud enough for me to still hear.

I roll my eyes as he gives her a hug and walks to his car.

The group is reduced down to eight people, "let's go to iHop!"

Everyone left agrees with me.

"Jaleena you can ride with us."

"Car is full. She can ride with Sam." Lindsey says matter of factly. Do I see jealousy?

"Where is Sam at?" I look around only to spot him running towards us.

"I got it! I got it!" He's holding a piece of paper in his right hand.

"No way bro," Miles, one of the guys in the group laughs.

"What is it?"

"A phone number."

I roll my eyes at his response, "whose phone number?"

Sam looks at me, "if I tell you, you might try and steal her."

"Let's just go. Jaleena and I are riding with you to Ihop."

He unlocks his door and I get into the back seat with Jaleena while Miles takes the front seat.

We take the twelve minute drive to IHOP blasting the music and passing around the aux cord. Screeching to each song that played and laughing when it finished.

Finally coming to stop at ihop we all get out of the car as Lindsey pulls up beside us.

We get out of the car to Lindsey and Jonna bickering about something.

"You okay girlies?"

Lindsey rolls her eyes and storms inside.

"You know her." Jonna awkwardly laughs.

I slowly nod my head and we walk in.

Our group gets a big corner booth and we all pile. I let Jalen slide in first and Lindsey sat next to me. All of us were thigh to thigh trying to fit eight people into a six seater booth. I laughed as an extra table was pulled up to accommodate four more people.

"How can I help you all today?" our  waitress speaks up after getting everyone seated.

We told her our drinks orders and she scurried off.

"I hate you," Lindsey says from beside me.

"Why am I so lovely?"

"You know why."

Ignoring her I turn to Jaleena who had been talking to Carley since they're sitting right in front of each other.

"So Talia what have you been up to all week?" Jonna asks me out of nowhere.

I shrug, "you know the usual?"

"You know she's on her usual binge." Sam spoke from beside me.

"My usual binge?"

He shrugs, "you know what I mean."

"I don't think I do."

The waitress comes back with our drinks.

"You seem to know her so well even after you've been gone for the whole year," Lindsey speaks from beside me after the waitress is long gone.

"Don't be jealous because she likes to fuck me more than you," As the words poured out of Sam's mouth I quickly reacted by hitting him upside the head.

"Dude, kiss and not tell," I huff and look over at Jaleena who has been listening to our conversation.
