"Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong," I sighed. Looking at my digital clock I saw the time to be 8 am. Groaning I get up and to answer the screaming door.
Throwing it open I snap, "What!?"
Jane shrinks back and I look at her my eye twitching in frustration, "Umm. River, he, He- well we were gonna go out for c-coffee."
I looked her up and down then leaned up against the door frame, "and that's why you have been ringing the door bell, for the past five minutes?"
She nods her head.
I turn around, "River, you are going to pay!" I stomped up the stairs and throw open River's door ready to beat him to a pulp, but lucky for him his bed was empty.
I stomped back down stairs to find Jane sitting on the couch, "he's not here. Must've forgot or something I don't know."
"Are you sure?"
I nod my head.
"Go take a look if you want, I'm going back to sleep," I tread my way up the stairs and back into my room collapsing on my soft plush mattresses.
My eyes flutter open and close until they are fully closed and I'm out, only to be woken yet again by the screaming door. In return I scream back at it and stoped my way back down the stairs throwing open the door once more, "What the fuck do you want!?"
"I came to talk to you, but see now is not a good-" I slammed the door in his face.
Why the fuck does everyone have to ruin my morning? I groan and walk to the kitchen since clearly I will not be going back to sleep any time soon. Sitting at the kitchen island I put my head on the cool marble surface.
"Bad morning?"
I jump ten feet in the air at the sound of another voice. Putting my hand to my heart I look at Jane.
"Are you trying to give me heart attack? God, I thought you left."
She shook her head and gave me an apologetic look, "Sorry, but I don't drive," she gave a half smile.
"Right, guess you're stuck with me until River shows. I like my eggs over easy and my bacon extra crispy," with that I get up and go to my room.
After taking a shower and getting dressed for the day I come back down the stairs to the smell of, bacon? I walk into the kitchen to see Jane with two plates of food. She looks up, "over easy right?"
I nod my head and sit across from her and she slides me a plate, "You're not trying to poison me for screwing with you, are you?"
She laughed an angelic sound. Music to my ears, "No Natalia, I am in fact not trying to kill you. Yet anyways."
I squinted my eyes at her. Shrugging I take a strip of bacon and plop it in my mouth. Deciding it was not in fact poisoned, I gulped down the rest in a matter of ten minutes.
"So," I spoke at last, "did you want me to take you home or," I trailed off.
"I'll wait for River."
I shook my head at her stubbornness.
"It's already eleven. You've been waiting for him since eight not to burst your bubble or anything but I don't think he's going to show up anytime soon."
She sighed and I frowned, "I'll wait."
"Look Jane, I don't know why your so hung up over my brother, but I suggest that you move on before your heart shatters into a million pieces, because sorry to say it he doesn't love you like you love him," I get up from the stool and walk upstairs.
My phone lies on my bed picking it up I see a million texts from just about everyone telling me the move for today. First the movies at 11:30, lunch after the movies, and just for me they planned on spending the rest of the time at the beach.
I pack a bag full of beach stuff, grab my phone, and keys then walk downstairs. Jane sits on the couch watching a shitty soap opera.
I sigh, "let's go nerd. You're spending the day with me."
She looks behind her and at me, "no thank you I don't want to intrude."
"Nope not taking no for an answer I'm going to go grab an extra suit and when I come back down you better have your skinny little ass by that door," I go up stairs grab one of my smaller suits then go back down.
Just as I said she waited by the door tv off and purse in hand. I nod smiling.
"That's what I thought. Let's go," we hop in my car and drive off to the movies. The fifteen minute car drive was pure comfortable silence with a dab of my horrid driving. We still got to the movies in once piece I take that as a good sign.
"I didn't bring-"
I cut her off mid sentence already knowing what she was about to say.
"Don't worry about it, I needed to pay you back for breakfast some way," hopping out the car I make my way towards a big group of about twenty people.
"Natalia, you made it!" Carly engulfs me in a hug. Carly was on the cheer squad with me and Lindsey. She's sweet to sweet for me and to me.
"There would be no party without me." I wrap my arms around her accepting the warmth of the hug.
She lets go and Sam is the next one to greet me (Sam is one of my "best friends" if you know what I mean). We do our hand shake and then throw his arm around my shoulder, "How's it going Tally mark?"
I smile up at him and shake my head at his nickname for me, "When did you get back in town?!" His parents sent him to boarding school in England, and had been gone for the last 9 months.
"Been back for a while, Tally mark. Hurts that you didn't know."
I punch his arm, "I've been a bit preoccupied," I ran my hand through my hair, "and stop calling me that."
"Never you are too much fun to tease." he winked. Sam and I had this friend with benefits thing going on. I guess, "but ima have to take up some of your time, sometime."
"I'll have to take you up on that offer, sometime." I smirked.
"Guy stop flirting, we're gonna miss our movie," Jonna broke up our little ran devou.
"Jonna you know your no fun," I rolled my eyes.
"I'm loads of fun, now pay for your ticket," she pushed me to the front of the line.
"I got it," Sam offered to pay. I shook my head and looked around forgetting all about Jane. She stood off to the far right.
"I guess chilvary isn't dead, but I'm repaying someone which means I have to buy our tickets," I walk over to Jane grab her by the wrist and pull her to stand next to me.
"So I guess Lindsey wasn't lying when she said you have a new play toy."
I rolled my eyes, "She's not my play toy. She's my brothers. As for the thing that happened between Lindsey and I, she can't handle rejection," shrugging my shoulders I went to the ticket booth.
Jane just followed not saying a word through out the entire encounter meant. At last we took our seats in the theater.
Looking up at her sitting next to me I noticed her shiver. The theater was quite cold. Taking off my Jean jacket I handed it to her just as the movie began to play.
