Chapter 11
It was Saturday night and I was ready to rock. I had my makeup done like a true rockstar's and I was dressed like one too. I wore black skinnies and black Docs, a black leather jacket and a white t-shirt with some dog tags.
Scarlett, Leah, Erin, Kat, Nate and Kyle had all bought tickets to see me and Drew. And of course, my girls had bought the tickets to watch our revenge plans conclude. I had underestimated how many people were coming to the show. There were easily a hundred people here to see the show.
We were on in twenty minutes and Drew wasn't here. Just then, he strolled in.
"You're la-" I snap but forget to finish the sentence.
Drew Siam looked amazing. He had black knee-ripped skinnes, white All Stars and a grey pullover with a skull on it. His newly short hair was styled to perfection and his jawline caught the light just perfectly as he stood waiting for me to close my mouth.
"Like what you see?" Drew said with that signature bad boy smirk.
Hell yes.
"Maybe."
"Ready to go?"
"I was born ready."
The previous act had finished their set and the audience was applauding. The act was a garage band of two guys and two girls who sounded like a junior Paramore. There was to be a ten minute interval and then Drew and I would perform.
All too soon the interval was over and we were waiting in the wings. The emcee would announce us and then we would walk on. As we were waiting, Drew grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
"We're gonna kill out there. I just know it. Good luck." And he pecked me on the forehead.
His actions were so unexpected and sincere that I was caught off guard. I had no time to dwell on this though, because the emcee had announced us.
Drew and I walked on stage and were greeted by a few cheers.
"Hey Club Veeto, what's up?"
Cue loud cheering.
"I'm Drew."
"And my name is Jay."
"And this song is called What I Like About You."
As the guitar chords start playing I feel myself getting pumped up.
This is gonna be good.

"For just one yesterday." Drew and I ended in perfect harmony.
"You guys have been the perfect audience. Thank you so much to Club Veeto for letting us perform. Now to close we thought we'd sing a favourite of many people. This song insp-" Drew didn't get to finish what he was saying.
I cut him off, "Actually, I had something different in mind."
Drew looked confused. A memory flashed in my head of earlier but I pushed it away. I forced myself to think of when he abducted me, when he threw food at me and when he tried to kiss me.
"You see, Drew here broke my heart. He didn't know that I knew but he was cheating on me."
The crowd believed me and started booing.
"But I played along. And now, I'm gonna give him what he deserves."
Scarlett ran on stage and dumped a bucket of ice water on Drew. The backtrack started playing and I started singing You Suck by Abigail Breslin. The crowd cheered while Drew looked utterly pissed and humiliated. He tried to run off stage but I may have tipped the bouncers a little something-something for a favour. It was one of the best moments of my life. So why did I feel just a little guilty?

"I hope you're happy."
I turned around and saw Drew standing there with a towel around him. I ended the performance earlier and went backstage to be congratulated by my people while Drew went to dry off.
"Oh I am. Extremely in fact."
"Well enjoy it while it lasts."
"Drew, I told you this is war. This was my revenge. Either top this or surrender," I said in a matter-of-fact voice but with an I-told-you-so smug look.
Drew walked me into the wall and pinned me there. Then he leaned over and whispered in my ear, "The war is only just starting, Princess."
He pulled his head back a little so that we could glare at each other. His face was less than an inch from mine and I could see the hate in his eyes. I won't lie, I felt a bit intimidated. Just a bit.
