how bout yes?
It was now after school, Marinette was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Adrien. She turned towards the school only to smack into Adrien. "We have got to stop doing this." He stated with a laugh. Marinette's face contorted into a pout as she smack him on the side of the arm. "It's your fault, dummy" , he looks down at her to see one of her cheeks puffed out in an adorable way. "Your adorable." He grabs her cheeks with one hand and squeezes them gently, making the air blow out if them. He slowly started to lean in but their moment was interrupted when Alya and nino ran out of the school. "Adrien~!" "Marinette!" They screamed in unison. The duo instantly jumped away from each other, a crimson color covering their faces. "Mari~? Do you need a moment alone with your lover boy?" Alya snickered as the red color moved across her ears and neck. "ALYA! Shut up!"
Nino grabbed Alya's arm and pulled her along. "Alya and I are going to the public library to work on a project. You two behave now you hear?"
A silence broke between the two as the laughter of their two goofy friends disappeared. "Alya...sure is something isn't she?" Adrien asked, trying to break the awkward silence between them. "She's silly. How long have you and nino been friends?" She asked as they began to walk slowly to Marinette's bakery. "Well, I've only been in public school this year, so I guess maybe six months? Yeah that's about it." Marinette stopped in her tracks. "You've only been in public school for this year? Then where did the rumors come from?" Adrien turned around and smiled sheepishly. "Well...are you familiar with Gabriel Agreste?" She nodded with a big bright smile. "Well. I'm his son, and I model for his clothes lines." She gasped and smiled brightly. "What's it like?! Do you enjoy it? How did you get your dad to let you?" He rubbed his neck again and chuckled. "He actually made me model for him. I don't dislike it, I just, don't want to do it for the rest of my life." She frowned, "he forced you to? Can't you just tell him no you don't want to do it?" He looks at her with a smile. "Your amazing you know that?" They began walking again and all was silent. Adrien was happy. Marinette cared more about his well being than getting an autograph from him, that's a first. Marinette was stunned, people made rumors about him that weren't true?! When really he's just a kitten? What's wrong with people?! "Hey, Adrien, about that dance. How about a yes?" She laces her hand with his and pulls him the rest of the way to her house. When they enter, a wave of delicious smells hit Adrien in the face and he found himself drooling. "Adrien, do you need a tissue?" She asked with a giggle. "Is this your home?!" She nods while smiling to a short Raven haired lady and pointing at a few pastries. "Oh my God please marry me." When he realized what he had said, he slapped his hand over his mouth and blushed. Marinette's face turned a deep crimson as the lady behind the counter giggled to herself. "Marinette dear, take your boyfriend up stairs I'll bring a plate of treats in a little while. "Again! He not my boyfriend!" Marinette heaved as she tried to calm the still growing blush on her face. She grabbed Adrien's wrist and pulled him upstairs, and to her room. "You dork, now my mom is going to tease me for a month...Do you like video games?" He nodded and sat next to her as she turned on her computer. "How about some ultimate Mecha strike three?" He nodded enthusiastically and grabbed a controller.
(Three hours later)
After being beaten over fifteen times, adrien gives up. "How are you so good at this?" He leans back in the chair sighing. "My papa taught me some tricks. He's not here right now. We ran out of a few things so he went groceries shopping." Adrien's eyes widen and he smiles brightly. "Do you think he could teach me a thing or two?" Marinette scoffed playfully and put a hand to her heart. "What? Am I not good enough to teach you? Adrien I am hurt." Adrien feigned worry and he grabbed both of her hands, pulling her close. "No Mari, your just perfect!" Once he realized what he said and how close their chairs were, his face turned a bright red that matched the color Marinette's changed into. He made the mistake of steeling a glance at her bright pink lips. Her eyes widened and her crimson darkened twenty percent. "A-adrien?" His eyes close slightly as he starts to lean in, Marinette put her hands against his chest and closed her eyes as well. Just before their lips met, they were interrupted by the door swinging open and Sabine standing there with a surprised look on her face. "I'm sorry Marinette, I was bringing the plate of treats I promised a little bit ago. They're fresh out of the oven." Adrien looks at Marinette with a Cheshire grin. She Huff's with a grin and waves her hand at her momma, silently asking for the treats. "Thanks maman. We appreciate it." She kissed Marinette's head and turned to Adrien hugging him softly. "I'll call you later when it's supper time okay? Adrien would you be allowed to stay for supper?" His eyes were still wide from the motherly affection Sabine had just shown him and he had to clear his throat before speaking. "Um...I'll have to call Nathalie to let her know that I'll be home later than I had said." She nodded with a smile. "Okay hon, I'll leave you two alone for awhile." Once the door shut Marinette's face turned crimson and Adrien grinned while reaching for the tray of treats. "Your sharing kitten." She flicked his nose and grabbed a light green macaroon. "Kitten? So I'm a cat now?" She nodded and grinned at him. "Your eyes are those of a chat noir" he looked at her as if to say, "really?" And crossed his arms. "Can I give you a nickname then?" She stopped giggling and looked thoughtful. "I...I guess it wouldn't hurt." He thought for a moment and smiled. "Princess?" She blushed and shook her head. "Too embarrassing" he nodded and thought again. "Buggaboo? Or Bugginette?" She stuck out her tongue and he laughed. "Um, how bout m,lady? That's my last idea, take it or leave it." He grinned at her as she thought about it. "Okay, I can deal with your lame nickname. I like the sound of it." He leaned towards her again and grinned mischeveously at her. "Oh? And why is that?" He leaned closer to her and she closed her eyes again. "Because I don't mind the thought." Again as they were a breath away Alya burst through the door. "Marinette! I have great- OH!" Adrien jumped back crying out in agony and Marinette jumped up slinging her arms in the air saying "I'm so done!"
Alya grinned and held back laughter as the two threw their own temper tantrums.
