The next morning I was greeted by the team rushing into the room. I couldn't help but to laugh as Omega bolted towards me and threw herself into my arms.

"Easy, Omega. She is still hurt." Hunter grumbled out.

I rolled my eyes and ignored him as I wrapped my arms around Omega and pulled her closer.

"It's fine, Hunter. Let her be." I said as I kissed the top of Omega's head.

"Remove your shirt, I want to check your wound." Tech said as he tapped away on his datapad.

"I missed you too, Tech." I said as I let out a laugh.

"Tech, she's fine. The medics said that she could leave soon." Hunter said as he patted his brother's shoulder.

"Still I want to run some tests before-"

"Tech, I'm fine. There is no need for any tests." I said as I shook my head.

He let out a sigh and gave a small nod.

"Fine... but when we return home, I will be redressing your wound." Tech said as he adjusted his goggles.

"Of course you will." I said as I rolled my eyes.

For the remainder of my stay at the hospital, Omega was my shadow. She wouldn't leave my side, even when Tech and Echo tried to forcibly remove her.

"The kid isn't going to leave, might as well just leave her." Crosshair grumbled out.

"You could help us!" Echo growled out.

"Why?" He asked with a raised brow.

They finally gave up and with a little help from Hunter, I was able to convince Omega to go home and get some rest and to take a shower.

One rotation (day) later and I was released from the hospital, but of course that came with the promise of taking medical leave for at least two months off.

"Any chance that's for me?" A voice asked playfully.

I looked up from the skillet and smiled as I saw Wrecker leaning against the wall.

"It's for Echo. I'm planning on making some bad choices tonight, and I need him on my side when I try to ask Hunter to allow me back in the field." I said as I flipped one of the eggs.

"I never realized the forethought that went into getting into trouble." Wrecker said as he walked up to me.

"Normally I try to get Tech to back me up, but this time, he's just as stubborn as Hunter." I explained as I let out a laugh.

Wrecker nodded his head and then bit the bottom of his lip. He looked away from me and I saw the gears turning.

"Wrecker, what's wrong?" I asked as I turned the stove off.

"Nothing." He said as he looked at his hands.

"Wrecker." I said as I walked up to him.

I sent him a smile and plopped down beside him, causing his cheeks to turn bright red.

"It's just... I um... well I... mumble."

"Wrecker, I can't understand you when you're mumbling. Just tell me what it is." I said softly. "You know you can talk to me."

I took his hands in mine and sent him a smile. His eyes went wide and he opened his mouth and then closed it as he stared at my hands in his.

"Can I kiss you?" He asked as he looked away from me.

"Of course you can." I said as I smiled up at him.

His face light up and he moved to capture my lips with his, but in his excitement, he bumped into my nose. I let out a groan as I pulled away from him.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't hurt you did I, I knew this would happen! I'm such an id-"

Wrecker looked so scared as he apologized. It was as if he had done the worse thing, and it made my heart break.

I cut Wrecker off by leaning forward and gently capturing his lips with mine. Wrecker instantly went stiff, which caused me to pull away. I stared up at him and had to cover my mouth to hold back laughter, as he was bright red and was stuttering like a fool. It was so bad I could hardly make out what he was saying.

"Are you okay, Wrecker?" I asked with a smile.

He gave me a nod and I let out a laugh.

"Do you want to try and kiss me again?" I asked sweetly.

Again he gave me a nod and I gently cuffed his face. He leaned down a lot slower this time and our lips brushed together. I felt my heart stop as his arms wrapped around me and he pulled me onto his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.

I heard someone cough and we quickly pulled apart and I turned to see Echo standing in the doorway with Tech.

"You do remember that we eat on that table, don't you?" Tech asked with a sigh.

"Oh we weren't gonna do anything." Wrecker said as he let go of me.

"Sure you weren't and I'm not half machine." Echo said as he held his hand up.

I let out a laugh and looked away from them, my cheeks bright red. I hopped off of the table and cleared my throat. I heard talking and quickly fixed my shirt. I turned around to look at the front door and saw Hunter walking in with Omega and Crosshair.

"Hey, kiddo. Did you have fun?" I asked as she rushed up to me.

"Yes! Crosshair taught me how to fire a sniper!" She exclaimed as she hugged me.

"Against my wishes." Hunter growled out as he glared at his brother.

I let out a laugh as Crosshair rolled his eyes and Hunter said nothing as he walked up to me.

"How'd your day go?" Hunter asked with a frown as he put an arm around my waist.

"It was good." I said as I kissed his cheek.
