Chapter 1

Before I knew it I had everything packed and ready to go, but instead of sitting in my room and talking to Anakin, I stayed in the bathroom and set on the floor. I didn't want to have to listen to Anakin lecture me anymore and just wanted to get this over with.

"Where is (Y/n)?" A deep voice asked in annoyance.

"Oh she is in the bathroom. I think she's still packing." Anakin explained from the other room.

I let out a groan and stood up. I dusted myself off and opened the door to see Obi-wan, Anakin, and another man with then.

"Ah there you are. (Y/n), I'd like for you to meet Sergeant Hunter. He will be your new commanding officer." Obi-wan said introducing the man beside him.

I looked the clone over and frowned. He was a lot different than the others clones, for one he had long brown hair, a red bandana and a skull tattoo on half of his face.

"Welcome aboard." Hunter said as he held his hand out.

"I don't really have much choice." I said as I shrugged my shoulders and crossed my arms over my chest.

Hunter said nothing and simply raised an eyebrow, before he pulled his hand away from me.

"Good luck. I am afraid that (Y/n) has always been a problem child." Obi-wan said as he shook his head with a sigh.

"I know a thing or too about problem children. I can handle her." Hunter said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

In that moment, I knew I was going to do whatever I possibly could to make the Bad Batch's lives miserable. They'd have to get rid of me and Obi-wan would realize his plan back fired.

I said my final goodbye to Anakin and then allowed Hunter to led me to his ship. When we arrived I felt sick to my stomach, mostly because there was four people waiting for us, and they didn't look happy to see me, well one of them didn't look happy.

"Of course we would get a civie." One of them grumbled out.

"Boys, I'd like you to meet-"

"(Y/n) (L/n), age unknown. Gender female. Known thief and close acquaintances with General Sky-"

"Okay stalker. Should I be scared that he knows so much about me?" I asked with a frown as I turned to look at Hunter, who had a grin on his face.

Before Hunter could answer me, the one beside him spoke up. The man looked more machine than man.

"Tech knows everything about everyone. You'll get use to it. Names Echo." The skinner one said as he held his hand out. "Pleasure to meet you."

"(Y/n)." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Can't say the same."

Echo shot Hunter a look, but he simply shrugged his shoulders.

"Hi! Names Wrecker! It's nice to meet you!" The big muscular exclaimed cheerfully.

It was clear to me that Tech was the brains, and Wrecker was the muscle, which was probably all he had going for him. Wrecker's face was scared on one side and he had a giant grin on his face. I didn't know it but I'd just met my best friend and partner in crime.

Almost instantly my eyes went wide as I stared up at him.

"You could probably throw me across the hanger." I mumbled under my breath.

He let out a laugh and I smiled softly.

"Alright let's head out." Hunter said as everyone turned and climbed onto the ship.

It wasn't surprising when I started to butt heads with them, Crosshair being the first to start a fight with me, which didn't seem to take anyone by surprise.

"You can't seriously think that it is a good idea to leave toothpicks everywhere!" I yelled as I glared at him.

"No one else complains." Crosshair grumbled out as he chewed on yet another toothpick.

"Bull shit! I just heard Tech ask you to clean up your mess." I growled out.

"How bout you clean it up yourself, Civie." He grumbled as he turned and walked away, leaving me standing in the middle of the hallway.

"Force, give me patience." I whispered as I took a deep breath in.

"I think you mean 'give me strength'." Tech said as he passed by me.

"If it gave me strength, Crosshair would be dead." I said angrily.

"(Y/n), you have a message. It's General Kenobi." Echo said as he pulled the sheet to the side.

I followed Echo to the cockpit and saw Obi-wan on the Holo. Echo turned and left allowing me some privacy.

So far Crosshair had actually been the only one that I had been having problems with. The others gave me my privacy and hardly bothered me, but Crosshair seemed to always be in my way.

"How is it going?" Obi-wan asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"We haven't killed each other- yet." I grumbled as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Well... that's good, I guess."

"How long will I have to stay on this rust bucket?"

"Until you learn to behave, or until I think you have been punished enough."

"Come on! Couldn't I just clean the temple or something like that?"

"(Y/n), this will be good for you. I'm sure that everything will turn out fine. Just trust in the fore."

"Yea, I'll make sure I do that-"

I was cut off by something stabbing me in the ass, as soon as I took a seat in the pilot's chair. I quickly jumped to my feet and let out a yelp. I quickly turned around and felt anger boil up inside of me as my eyes landed on a toothpick in my seat.

"Damn it! Crosshair! Stop leaving toothpicks everywhere!" I yelled as I rushed out of the room, forgetting to say goodbye to Obi-wan.

After awhile of yelling Hunter walked up to us and pushed us apart.

"Okay! That's enough! Both of you need to calm down!" Hunter ordered.

"He needs to stop being an asshole!"

"And she needs to go back home! She doesn't belong with us!"

"Trust me, I would love nothing more than to leave, but I don't have a choice! Either I join you guys or I go to jail!" I screamed as Crosshair and I glared at each other.

"Just know, if it comes down to it, I won't save you, Civie." Crosshair growled out.

"I don't need your help, Crossy."

Hunter forced us to separate, forcing me in cockpit with Tech and Crosshair in the back with Echo. Neither of us wanted to admit that we were in the wrong.

Before I knew it, it was time for our first mission together and I thought everything was going smoothly, until I got separated from the group. I found that I wasn't alone though, no I was trapped with Wrecker, who I found had a broken ankle.

"Wrecker, can you walk?" I asked as I knelt down.

"A little." He grumbled out as I helped him to his feet.

Wrecker went to take a step, but nearly fell forward, thankfully I was there and was able to help him steady himself.

I knew in my heart that he wouldn't be able to make it on his own and for a second I thought about leaving him to save myself, but I found that I couldn't. I couldn't bring myself to leave him alone to his death, I knew if I did that I'd never be able to live with myself.

"Easy, big guy. Put your weight on me." I said with a gentle smile.

"But... I don't wanna hurt you, I'm heavy."

"Don't worry about it, I'm stronger than I look." I said as I stared up at him.

Wrecker said nothing and put his weight on me. It was a struggle and he was a lot heavier than he looked, but I was able to get him back to the ship. Upon spotting the ship we were greeted by Hunter and Echo rushing towards us. With their help I was able to get Wrecker on the ship.

"Will he be okay?" I asked as Tech scanned him.

"Yes, but he will have to rest. When we return to Kamino they will be able to fix him up." Tech said as he tapped away on his datapad.

"Good." I said with a small nod.

I turned and left the room, leaving them alone. I walked towards the bunks, but was stopped by Crosshair.

"What do you want?" I asked with a frown.

"Thanks." He grumbled out.

"What?" I asked in shock.

"For saving my brother... thanks." Crosshair said as he looked away from me.

I smiled softly and crossed my arms over my chest.

"You're welcome." I said as I turned and walked past him.
