Y/N clung to Magnus' arm as the two stepped around bodies of people. In the blink of an eye she spotted a male clinging to a girls' neck. Y/N smacked Magnus' forearm and subtly nodded her head to the pair. He nodded and the couple quickly walked to them. Y/N ripped the female off of the vampire and he glared at them. "What the hell- oh- Shadowhunter," he glared. The girl was beginning to faint. Magnus grabbed the male from behind and sneered at the vampire. "And a warlock. How nice. You all get along now?" the vampire grinned menacingly. Y/N rolled her eyes and took the girl into her arms. "Take care of him?" she asked Magnus. He nodded, "Be careful okay?" His cat eyes glimmered and she smiled sweetly at him, butterflies never leaving. "Of course," she retorted. Y/N turned and quickly left the Pandemonium.

When she got outside she lay the girl on the asphalt. "What's your name?" she asked the slowly fainting girl. "Charlotte Humblewinter," the girl murmured. "Shadowhunter?" Y/N gravely asked. Charlotte nods faintly. The wound on her neck deep and dripping with blood. "Dizzy," she whispered before nodding off. Y/N pulled her stele out of her boot swiftly and went over the runes on Charlotte. Y/N brushed her H/C hair out of her E/C eyes and squatted next to the girl just as Clary and Jace raced out of the club.

"What happened?" Jace asked frantically just as the brother-sister duo came outside as well. "There was a vampire biting her," Y/N said brushing a stray tear out of her eyes angrily. She stood up and took a deep breath. Alec quickly wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Isabelle rose her eyebrows behind Alec's back at Y/N. Y/N rolled her eyes at Iz before closing them and relaxing against Alec. "You okay?" he asked worriedly. She nods and steps back from his hug. "I'm fine," Y/N reassured. 

Magnus came out of the club without the vampire with him. "Did you get rid of him?" she asked. He nodded. "I also got some other info from him. The vampires are supposed to be attacking next week on Saturday and they'll be gathering here." Y/N sighed and side hugged Magnus. "Thank you," she smiled. He smiled back and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. The group made their way back to the Institute, Clary and Jace conversing with one another while Alec chatted quietly with his sister, but Y/N and Magnus stayed quiet. 

Seeing the vampire up close was actually more traumatizing than Y/N had initially thought it would be like. But at least she was okay now. She wasn't sure why Alec had felt enough worry that he had to hug her but it felt... nice. It felt like she was going to end up being okay. Y/N leaned her head back so she could glance at the stars and a faint smile graced her lips. Everything would be okay as long as she had this group fighting with her. Even though she was the best at weapons, she still had some weaknesses just like everyone else had. After a few more missions, she hoped it would be a lot easier. Alec poked her side, getting Y/N out of her daze. "Do you want some help on writing up the report?" he implored her lowly. She smiled at him and nodded. Magnus took his arm off of her and waved bye to them. "I'll head home now." Y/N waved tiredly as well as everyone else.

Once they had reached the Institute, Y/N and Alec immediately went to his office, after saying goodnight to the other three. Alec sat in his chair and motioned her over. Y/N walked over and he swiftly pulled her down into his lap, making her squeal. He laughed quietly and she finally calmed down. "You're extra today," Y/N grinned, leaning against him. Alec smiled, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I think I missed being with you." She blushed and smacked him lightly. "Quit hitting me," he complained. Y/N smiled. This was the side of Alec that she loved. His cheerful, sweet, and carefree side. The way he could make her blush in just a few seconds had her in a red mess. 

The two worked on the report and finished it quickly. Well- more like Alec did the whole thing. Y/N had fallen asleep 1/3 of the way through it. Alec just smiled softly at her sleeping form and continued the report. When he finished, he woke her just so she could write her signature. Y/N managed, but quickly started falling back asleep. Alec lifted her in his arms and made his way to his bedroom that was downstairs so he wouldn't have to walk up the set of stairs to her room. Alec lay her on his bed and pulled off her shoes. Y/N stirred and whispered, "Alexander?" "I'm here," he whispered back. "Can I wear one of your shirts?" she asked innocently. She didn't notice because of the dark room but Alec's face went red. "Uh- yeah," he stuttered. He reached into his drawer and grabbed one of his many black shirts. 

He handed it to Y/N and turned around while she changed. When she had finished she let him know. He turned around and smiled at her form on his bed. He took off his own shoes and changed into comfy pajamas that were all black, of course. He got under the covers with Y/N and pulled them up and over the two of them. Alec wrapped an arm around her middle and pulled her close to him. The two fell asleep, both feeling secure and happy. It didn't take long for them to drift off because of the closeness and warmth.
