SPECIAL CHAPTER: Backspace first birthday
SO, two days ago (December 18th, 2016) marks the first Anniversary of Backspace! A year ago, I had nervously published my first epistolary-style story that I never expected to have such good reviews, feedback and reads! I can't believe people read this story OMG.
This is story is certainly most memorable and most nostalgic book I've ever writtenin my life. And late last night it reached #1 in fanfiction. LIKE WHAT? GUYS thank you all for your undying support for this book and you guys deserve some extras to read! <3 This chapter contains two short, deleted, full-chapter scenes from backspace. Taehyung's POV.

first meeting (taehyung's pov) — july 22, 2014
"Taehyung-ah," I turned my head to the side after hearing Jimin whisper my name from beside me. "Good news. Do you know that pretty girl we were secretly stalking and taking pictures of? I'm finally going to reveal to you her name. It's Lee Miyun and her class is opposite to ours so we can see her often," He playfully said as he nudged my arm.
I glared at him. "Stop dragging me into this, Jimin, I'm not that interested to know her name or anything, she just looked nice," I non-chalantly blunted and turned away. "Why don't you go for her since you seem so much into her, huh?"
"What? No way, Miyun is like a sister to me. Besides, I like someone else," He defended with his arms forming a cross figure in front of him. I just gave him one last stare and didn't reply, leaning my head against the wall beside me while waiting for the minutes on the clock to pass by without falling asleep.
After the last period ended and the whole class was dismissed, I hurriedly packed my things away and put up my gray hoodie. I leaned on my left side a little whist carrying the weight of my bag on my right using only one strap.
I stopped, looked around the hallways, left and right to see if there are any people on the way. The quieter, the better. And the more I'll be able to take time on my walking. I really don't want to see my parents, knowing that they'll just be arguing again and tell me to just lock myself in the room. I'll always stay quiet because I will never have the say in anything.
Being rebellious is plain immature and tiring, to be really honest. It's not that they're abusing me or anything, they're abusing themselves. Not that it hasn't affected me or anything,
After double-checking the empty coast, I positioned myself in the middle of the hallway with my hands inserted inside my pockets. I solemnly sauntered the halls with my hoodie tipped down, my gaze planted on the ground and nowhere else.
It wasn't long until I felt something bulky and heavy fly in the air, abruptly hitting the top of my head. What.. the heck?
I let out a groan with my hand on my head, rubbing it in circles in hopes of carressing the pain away. Yet after a few seconds, the stinging pain was immediately replaced by annoyance. My eyes widened upon looking at the familiar flower patterns that were situated on the bag's surface.
I turned around with my hand on my head and saw the girl Jimin was talking about earlier.
For some reason my heart started fluttering a bit, and at the same tme I was incredibly pissed. I've been noticing this girl for like two months now, yet I have never really talked to her. I know nothing about her except for a little bit of her talent and what people said abut her. That's why she caught me eye.
I stared at her with my mouth gaped open, the feeling of anger unwillingly detaching itself from me. The obnoxious girl ran towards me with a bright smile on her face, holding her hand out to help me stand up. "Hello there, I'm Lee Miyun! You looked sad and I just thought, can we be friends?" And then the lost anger suddenly appeared in front of me, again.
I quickly stood up with a change of thoughts floating around my head.
It is the same girl but she's more annoying now than attactrive.
I hate her voice so much, and that smile. Who smiles like that? She'll probably look better with her mouth closed shut. Tight.
"Friends?" I asked annoyingly, raising my voice. "Friends? Let's just say that I was actually sad, but do you think hurting someone with a heavy-ass bag is going to make them feel better? Let alone become friends with you? Are you kiddng me?" I gradually raised my voice even higher, to the point that it already seemed like I'm scolding her.
"Oh, sorry, I thought it would be nice—"
"That's sorry is all I need, you can get lost now."
"But—"
"Thanks for ruining my day, woman," I blunted and bowed my head down, not even sparing her one last glance before walking away from her.
"K..Kim Taehyung!" I heard the same voice call me from behind. I decided not to turn my head around and heard her high-pitched voice talk to me in a less brighter tone. "Are you surprised? I've always known your name, nice to meet you!"
I then decided not to stay still and walked ahead.
"Wait! I wanted to say— I mean, now that I talked to you.. who knows? I may be your fate, right?" Her tone suddenly sounded more serious than it previously was. She then bursted out of laughter, "I'm kidding, have a good afternoon! Bye!" She dismissed and ranaway the opposite direction.
Ugh, what was that?
What a good way to run my mood.

miyun's drunkenness (taehyung's pov) — december 19, 2015 (A/N: remember in chapter 12, miyun was celebrating her birthday party with her friends and her drink was spiked?)
I frantically sat up from the edge of my bed and checked the time written at the top of my phone. Miyun was been drunk-texting me nonsense, but the newest message made me panic by myself and thought, what if this girl is really caught up in trouble?
'Crazy girl: Hi, this is Soojung, Miyun's friend.'
'Crazy girl: Oh wait is this Kim Taehyung?'
'Crazy girl: OH MY GOD SHE'S TALKING TO YOU? I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHERE MIYUN IS SHE LEFT HER PHONE'
Panic got the best of me after realizing that Miyun's phone isn't even in the hands of hers. I hurriedly scrolled up the conversation and read the address given, reciting ut in my head to memorize it. I turned on the lights in my room, grabbed my jacket and saw the window as the first vessel I could use to escape.
I used all the energy left in my body to open my window and squeezed myself out, loosely closing it shut after stepping on the grass outside my window.
The familiarity of the address gave me a big advantage, making me run as fast as I could. I paid no attention to the dogs barking at me in the neighborhood— thinking I was a thief and also saw every obstacle as an easier path.
After a couple minutes of vigorous running, I breathlessly stopped in front of the venue.
I caught a glimpse of Soojung there looking lost, calling out Miyun's name while searching for her everywhere. Acknowledging that she's not inside at all, and that Soojung had looked everywhere inside, I circled around the whole building to find where she is.
I then saw a red car parked a couple meters away from the back of the building, with one guy holding the hand of a familiar female figure who looked a little tipsy.
I quickly ran towards what I saw and after seeing the girl's face, I grabbed the unknown guy's hand and pulled away his grip from her. The unconscious girl suddenly lost her balance and fell on me, her weight leaning on my left side.. I used my arm to circle around her waist in support.
The unfamiliar guy, seemingly ageing in his early 20's looked at me with an extremely annoyed look and asked me. "Yah, what the hell do you think you're doing? She's mine for tonight."
I glared at him and blunted, "How about you? What does she have anything to do with you?"
"She's my colleague.. in my office. I will take her home tonight," He scoffed after looking at me from head to toe. Colleague? Wow, nice try. I quickly thought of an idea and immediately got my phone out of my pocket.
"Taehyungie.." I heard Miyun's soft voice mumble from beside me, making me hold her tighter.
"Colleague? I don't think so, this girl just turned legal today. I don't think you should go around, spiking people's drinks and taking advantage of them later on. Besides, I'm her brother and I'm actually going to take her home tonight. Our mom is worried about her so I came to fetch her from here. Now that I found my sister, you can now fuck off or you will have to ask permission from our mom if you would like to take the job," I blunted straight and showed him my phone screen with the 'mom' contact in it.
Even if I never really use that phone number.
"What the fuck?" He cursed, "What an asshole. Go to hell," He angrily said, entered his red car and banged the door shut in front of me.
He drove far away from the two of us in anger, making me smile to myself. I turned my head to the side and saw Miyun, completely vulnerable and unconscious, mumbling some word fragments as if she was talking in her sleep.
"Sigh, I knew that the girlfriend trick wouldn't work in someone like you. He looks like the guy who will pick up a fight with me if I ever claimed to be your boyfriend. He's surprisingly weak against authority, though," I chuckled and proceeded on carrying Miyun in a piggyback.
Man, this girl still manages to smell good despite being a little overlapped by the alcohol's smell.
"Taehyung-ah," I heard my name coming from her mouth as a groan. "Where... are we going?"
"Home, idiot," I said whilst walking as fast as I could without letting go of her. "There's so many dangerous people here. Even your classmates can't even surpass that jerk's cunningness. Might as well get completely drunk at a bar," I scoffed.
I then felt her dropped arms wrap losely around my neck. "Let's be good friends, Taehyung... I want to understand you.. care about you.. let's never fight, okay?" She groggily stated.
"Ugh, whatever," I mindlessly said. "I don't really care if we form a deeper relationship or not, have fights or not, as long as you keep talking to me. I'm starting to actually appreciate the times we talk," I muttered to myself, hoping that we won't really hear me.
"What??" She groaned again, "But.. um.. Thank you... I didn't like that man.. anyway..." She laughed, leaned forward and gave me a small kiss on the cheek. My eyes suddenly widened in her surprise attack, making me stop from walking. After a few seconds of being caught in a trance, I shook my head to myself and continued walking faster, just hoping that she will never remember what she just did.
I don't think I'll be able to get enough sleep tonight.
