A/N: Before you read this, I'd advise you to read the Announcements of Chapter 8. of my other DxD Story (The Hellsing one). The reason for that is so you'll have a good idea of what's going to happen in this story. Either than that, just a heads up that there will be language, blood, gore, suicidal thoughts, abuse, deep depression,...even lemons in this story.(side note: the lemons won't happen till later on chapters and when they do happen, I will give you a heads up ahead of time) Now with that out of the way and being said, let the story begin.

Y/N had a decision to make. In front of him was a white wooden door and another that was charcoal black with a symbol on it.

A/N: That's the symbol.

Y/N looked at the white door and back at the other door. He started to recall the events that led him to what he was about to do.

Flashback

In Kuoh Academy, it was afterschool and Y/N was heading to the ORC. Why, some might ask, well the reason was he was going to propose to a certain red haired girl that was his girlfriend and who he thought was the love of his life.

During his life, he was self raised. The reason for that was Y/N had ran away from his home when he was six. His drugged up and alcoholic father was always abusing him and his mother, and each year it was getting worse and worse. Finally after a few months when Y/N turned six, he witnessed his father stabbing his mom with a broken beer bottle when she tried to protect Y/N. Y/N's mom fell to the floor bleeding out. Before she died she looked at Y/N and told him with a smile that she loved him. Y/N ran away and never looked back with tears in his eyes. From there, he was placed in an orphanage where almost all the kids picked on him and bullied him. They would call him names and told him that he was weak and beat him. The people in charge didn't even bother trying to stop any of it from happening. The only friend he had was a blue haired girl who he couldn't remember her name for some reason. She would always protect him and play with him. Sadly, one day she was adopted by people in robes that looked like they were from church. When she left, all the abuse and bullying continued. Finally Y/N was adopted by a couple that already had a son. They were the Hyoudou family. They took him in and treated him like their own son. For the most part, they were a great family, the only bad part was Y/N's brother Issei was a huge pervert. As the years went by Y/N was slowly starting to feel actual happiness again. He had an actual family that loved him, a couple of friends he thought he could trust and depend on and now when the years were going by, he even found a girlfriend. Her name was Rias Gremory. They met when they were in middle school and from there on they were inseparable... or so he thought.

Y/N had just gotten down the stairs and was about to head outside the back to the ORC when he was stopped by a hand on his shoulder. When he turned around, he saw that it was none other than one of his friends.

Y/N: *happy* Hey Josh, what's up?

Josh just sighed and looked at Y/N. He knew what had to be done and sadly was the only one who would actually tell Y/N what needed to be said, whether he liked it or not.

Josh: Hey...listen Y/N can I talk to you for a second?

Y/N: Actually can we talk tomorrow? I was planning on doing something really-

Josh: I know...that's why we need to talk.

Y/N saw the look his friend was giving him and understood that he meant business so he nodded his head yes. Josh then led him to an empty classroom. When they stepped inside Josh closed the door behind him so no one would hear what was going on.

Y/N: *leaning against a desk* So what's up bud?

Josh: *looks at Y/N and sighs* Y/N ever since the day we met we've been the best of friends. Everyone always stayed away from me and always talked and said things about me back in middle school. Everyone including your brother always treated me wrong...everyone but you. You stopped everybody from messing with me and treated me like a regular person. Since that day, I was grateful that I finally met someone who I could actually call a friend. Over the years you've looked out for me and treated me with only respect and kindness. You've been like a brother to me.

Y/N: *smiling* Oh, well thanks man. That means a lot to me. *looks at the time* Well if that's all yo-

Josh: I'm not finished yet.

Y/N: Oh...ok.

Josh: Now it's my turn to return the favor and look out for you.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Josh: Y/N...you're making a mistake.

Y/N: What do you mean?...

Josh: I mean you shouldn't propose to Rias.

Now this got Y/N's full attention.

Y/N:*looking concerned* How did you know about that?

Josh: I can see the box in your left side pocket, but that's not important. What is important is that while you think that Rias is the one for you, I've been noticing what's actually going on.

Y/N: What, that their devils? I already knew that when Rias saved Issei from being attacked a few weeks ago. I'm not afraid of them Josh.

Josh: and I'm an angel, but that's not what I'm trying to get at. What I mean is that Rias is cheating on you.

Y/N:......what?

Josh: Listen, I know that you don't believe me but hear me out. I-

Y/N: no.

Josh. Wha-

Y/N: I don't believe you. Why would Rias cheat on me. She loves me as much as I love her!

Josh: No she doesn't Y/N.

Y/N: *getting angry* Oh really, then if she's cheating on me, who's the other guy then huh?

Josh: Your brother.

Y/N: *getting even more pissed off* Bullshit.

Josh: *in a calm manner* It's not. Think about it, whenever we all hang out together, Rias always looks at Issei like he's some kind of dream guy and looks at you like she almost forgot you're still here. Why do you think Issei always gets out of class when Rias 'needs him' and not you.

Y/N: *pissed off* Because it's devil work and I'm not a devil.

Josh: Then how come it's always just Issei and all the other devils are still in their class. Not only that, but don't devils usually do their work in the afternoon or at night so they don't draw attention to themselves.

Y/N: .....

Josh: Or whenever you're helping out the Student Council, or hanging out with me or Koneko or Akeno, Issei always sneaks off to the ORC and Kiba stands watch and guards the door outside.

Y/N: Rias probably needs him for something in private.

Josh: Really? If that's the case why doesn't she tell the rest of her team and just Issei. Shouldn't all her members know whatever is so important? And since you already know that their devils shouldn't you know as well since you are her boyfriend?

Y/N: Stop it...

Josh: I know you don't want to admit it, but even you must have felt like something is off here.

Y/N: Stop it Josh...

Josh: And I'm not the only one who knows either, but the others didn't know how to tell you so I-

Y/N: Shut up!!

Josh:....If you're not gonna take my word then look *shows Y/N his phone*. I was so sick and tired of knowing that you were being wronged that I confronted Rias about it and this is what heppened.

Josh then started the video. As its starting it looks like the phone is I his shirt pocket and is facing Rias.

Video:

Josh: Why are you doing this?

Rias: Doing what?

Josh:*in a demanding voice* Why are you messing around with Issei, when Y/N is your boyfriend?

Rias: *starting to get nervous* W-What are you talking about? I'm not-

Josh: Cut the shit! You think nobody sees what you guys are doing? What you're doing is wrong and you know it. So why are you doing this to Y/N? He actually loves you and thinks that you love him.

Rias: I-I-

As Rias was having a hard time trying to answer, her 'faithful servant' showed up.

Issei: Hey Rias, Is everything alright.

Josh: No it's not.

Issei: *looks at Y/N with a look of annoyance* What do you want looser?

Josh: I want to know why are you messing around with your brother's girlfriend.

Issei then became furious and walked up to Josh and got in his face and tried to Intimidate him.

Issei: If you know what's good for you, you'll keep your mouth shut. Let's go Rias.

The video then showed Issei grabbing Rias's hand and the two walking off. And as they were walking away, they held each other's hand like they were together. Then the video finished. When Josh looked at Y/N, he saw that he was really pissed off.

Josh: Now do you believe me?

Y/N only looked at him with anger in his eyes.

Josh: Like I said before, if the others were here they'd tell you too a-

Y/N: Fake....

Josh: What?....

Y/N: That video...is a fake...you made it up.

Josh: *starting to get frustrated* Why the hell would I waste my time making this up? I only even did this to prove to you that Rias-

Y/N: You're worng!! Rias would never cheat on me! Especially not with my own brother!

Josh: Y/N, I know that you've had problems growing up, and that you think that you've finally found the right girl but you need to face the facts.

Y/N: Stop it...

Josh: Rias doesn't love you.

Y/N: I said Stop it!

Josh: She's nothing more than a spoiled rotten, good for nothing, cheating sl-

Y/N: I Said Stop!!!

Y/N then did something that later on he would regret. He rushed right in front of Josh and punched him in the face. After Y/N did that he looked at Josh in anger.

Y/N: Don't you dare call Rias that.

Josh just stood there rubbing his jaw. He didn't even move an inch when Y/N punched him. After Y/N was done talking Josh looked at him with disappointment.

Josh: Fine...if you wanna go propose to Rias, then go ahead. Just don't say I didn't warn you. *starts to leave*.

As Josh opened the door to leave he stopped and didn't look back at Y/N, but said-

Josh: But before you do, sneak by the window of the clubroom and look inside. Then decide what you're gonna do next.

After that, Josh left Y/N to think about what he just said. After a while Y/N left and started making his way to the ORC. He finally made it o the front and was about to open the door, but something stopped him. He just couldn't get Josh's words out of his head, so to prove him wrong, Y/N slowly and quietly made his way to the window of the club house.

When he made it, he slowly peeked inside. When he did, he saw a sight he wished he never thought he would see. There on the couch was Rias making out with his brother Issei. Issei was groping Rias's chest which made her moan, while at the same time she was rubbing his crotch. The sight made Y/N want to hurl. Filled with sadness, Y/N quietly left and stared to head home. While he was walking it started to rain. Finally alone, Y/n started to let the tears he was holding back, flow down his face. He couldn't believe that Rias was actually cheating on him. He couldn't believe that his own brother did that to him. As he was walking, he slowly started to regret not believing Josh and punching him.

He was so deep in his thoughts, that he didn't see a blue spear made of light coming to his chest. When it made impact Y/N cried out in pain and fell to the ground. As he layed there bleeding out, he heard someone stating to talk to him.

???: I apologize for doing this, you're nothing more than an innocent low life, but since someone wanted you gone and is paying good money for it, I just couldn't resist. Hope you understand it's nothing personal. *fly's off*

As the person left Y/N to die, Y/N just thought what he had said.

Y/N's Mind: 'Low Life'. Maybe he was right, maybe they were all right. I'm just a weak, hopeless, low life who no one cares about. I deserve this.

As Y/N was at his last breath, he saw another figure coming closer to him, but before he could try to see who it was, he blacked out. When he woke up he noticed that all around him was nothing. All around him was nothing but darkness. No noise, just...silence. As he was wondering where he was, someone spoke to him.

???: So you finally woke up.

When Y/N turned around to see who it was, he was a little surprised. The peron talking to him was none other than Josh.

Y/N: Josh?

Josh: That's my name, don't wear it out.

Y/N: W-What are you doing here? Where am I? What's going o-

Josh: Woe, woe, woe there. first off, ... relax. Second, you're kinda in my domain.

Y/N: Wait. Your domain?

Josh: Yep. My domain. You remember when I said that I was an angel?

Y/N: I honestly thought you were just being sarcastic.

Josh: Well I wasn't.

Suddenly a white light surrounded Josh. When it died down Josh was no longer standing, but instead he was hovering. The way he did that was because of the giant white wings that were on his back. Not only that but instead of his usual get up of a hoodie and sweats, he was now wearing a black hooded robe with skulls and crosses on it.

A/N: Imagine this, but the hands are normal.

Now Y/N was speechless and once again terrified.

Y/N: I-I thought you said that you were an angel?

Josh: I am......I'm the Angel of Death.

Now Y/N was just plain out terrified.

Y/N: *points at Y/N* So you're...*points at himself* then that means that I'm...

Josh: *nods* Yes.

Y/N: So it wasn't a dream...

Josh: If that was a dream, then you had one hell of a nightmare.

Y/N: So now what?

Josh: Now *snaps his fingers and a white door appears* you go to Heaven.

Y/N: Heaven?

Josh: What, do you WANT to go to Hell?

Y/N: *starts panicking* N-NO NO NO! It's just you make it sound so... normal.

Josh: Well when you've been doing this job for a few centuries, you get used to it.

Y/N: Oh....

Josh: So yeah, you can go to Heaven.

Y/N looked at the door. It was plain bright white. As Y/N was looking at it and thinking what would happen, Josh interrupted him.

Josh: Or..... *snaps his fingers again and another door appears* You can go through that door.

Y/N looked close at the new door. It was pure charcoal black with a symbol on it. This symbol was a flaming skull.

A/N: The picture from the begining.

Y/N: *curious* What's behind that door?

Josh: My office.

Y/N: You have an office?

Josh: Yep.

Y/N: What happens when I go to your office?

Josh: *looks at Y/N seriously* Vengeance.

Y/N: *going pale* Wuh?...

Josh: Not vengeance on you. *chuckles and smiles* Trust me, I already forgave you for your weak punch. Heh, it took everything in me not to bust out laughing and keep a straight face.

Y/N: Uh, thanks?

Josh: No problem. But I meant Vengeance FOR you. Basically meaning I'll help you get revenge on everyone who screwed you over or made your life hell. That is of course, if you choose that door. So now, you have two choices. One, you go to Heaven and try your best to live a peaceful life, or Two, you step inside my office and we get down to business and take out everyone that went against you by Any means necessary. And when I say Any means necessary, I mean ANY. MEANS. NECESSARY. But that's all up to you, so I'll either see you right now, or I'll sense your soul going up. Either way, see ya.

Josh then vanished and left Y/N with a choice.

Now

After remembering what happened, he already knew what he was going to do. He looked right at the door that lead to Heaven...and went straight for the door that led to Josh's office.

Josh's Office

When Y/N stepped inside, he took a good look at Y/N's office.

A/N: Imagine this but the walls are white, the brown parts are black and the carpet is gray.

To him, it looked pretty spacious. As he was looking around the walls he also noticed that on the desk were a bunch of different shaped skulls and some weren't even human.

Josh: I see you chose Vengeance.

Josh came out from what looked like a giant closet because he came out in a black suit with a skull tie.

Y/N:*sits in front of the desk* Before anything else starts...what is it with you and skulls?

Josh: *sits at his desk* Honestly, I don't know. I always thought they looked cool and all ever since I was a kid and I guessed it just stuck.

Y/N: Cool. So now, what is the plan?

Josh: Simple, *snaps his fingers and Seven Nation Army starts playing in the background* make it as painful and humiliating as possible for them and hilarious for us.

Y/N: That...sounds like a plan.

Josh: But before we can commence that plan, we need to get you ready.

Y/N: Ready for what?

Josh: *sarcastically*Oh, you don't know? You're dead. And when you go back, not only am I going to get a fucking lecture, but people are going to wonder how that was possible. Besides someone wanted you dead, so to at least make you can defend yourself, I'm going to give you a big power boost.

Y/N: What like super steroids?

Josh: Pssh. You wish, but no. I'm going to give you a choice.

Josh then looked under his desk and pulled out a double sided scythe.

Josh: You can have the powers of the reaper. The one that used to work here retired. Something about Billy and Mandy or what not. Either way, with this scythe you'll become the new grim reaper. Of course there's responsibilities that you'll have to follow, but we'll get to that if you choose it.

Next he pulled out a golden necklace that showed a one eyed Dorito with a hat and bow tie on it.

Josh: I found this back in Oregon. With this, you become a Dream Demon. Apparently, your power is almost endless and you'll know lots of things.

Y/N: What kind of things.

Josh: Lots Of Things....also I think you get Free Doritos for life and apparently you'll look "smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy", but who knows what that means am I right.

Y/N: O..K?

Next Josh pulled out a medium size see through canister. Inside was a bunch of red ooze. The weird thing about the ooze was that it was moving. It also looked like it was trying to get out and kept watching Y/N.

Y/N: Uh, what is that?

Josh: I don't know. What I do know is that I've seen a bunch of these things attach themselves to people. Apparently you get special abilities. But I caught this one, a few years back. Believe me when I tell you, if you choose this thing...there's going to be Carnage.

Y/N: Hmm.

Josh: And of course there's also this.

Josh then pulled out a medicine cup with liquid in it.

Y/N: What's that?

Josh: This is what I like to call The Monster Fruit Punch. The story on this is way back before the Great War, other beings besides demons, dragons, youkai devils, angels and fallen angels prowled the world. But then bit by bit they started to die out. So before a certain species died out, some how someone collected that species blood. Now at first this seemed like a great idea, but there was one problem. *picks up the cup* They kept on using the same cup. So of course meant that a lot of different monster blood got mixed up. There's only a few samples left and this is one of them.

Y/N: So what creatures blood is it?

Josh: I don't remember. There could be werewolf, vampire, demon, heck maybe even dragons blood. *looks at Y/N* Only one way to find out I guess.

After that, Josh layed down the items for Y/N to choose.

Josh: So what's it going to be?

A/N: And that's the end of this chapter. Up next is Choices, Choices, Choices. Now for a few quick announcements.

1. For Choices, Choices, Choices; you guys will get to decide which of the powers you'd want, what you look like after you receive that power, and two other questions that will be put in there.

That explains mostly what's going to happen in this story. but to sum it up; Certain characters act different, it's almost like the anime with a few twists, and it's also going to get more R rated.
