ALEXA HATED weddings. If she were to get married she would have a small venue, pretty flowers, possibly two bridesmaids, and close family members. That's all.

She explained all of this to Freddie after she was practically being forced to go to Nevel Papperman's wedding.

And she only agreed because she was a changed person. She was mature, she wasn't going to hold any grudges towards him. He was a kid. She was a kid. Things change.

Regardless, she continued to talk about her dream wedding with Freddie as they made their way towards Spencer's apartment.

She wore a green off the shoulder dress with a slit that stopped right at the top of her knee. She wasn't the bride of course, but she was going to look good being a bridesmaid.

As for Freddie, it didn't matter what he wore because it was a basic suit. He loved weddings. He had the "wedding fever" and Millicent wasn't going to let Freddie fall for someone to get divorced within 14 months.

"Who's ready for a really fun wedding?" Carly asked.

"You despise Nevel." Spencer said, "I thought you'd be upset about going to his wedding."

"Of course I'm upset. My sworn enemy wants to make me miserable by flaunting his happiness, but I'm going to make him miserable by flaunting mine."

"Are you sure you wouldn't be happier just staying at home?" Spencer asked.

"I know I would." Alexa smiled, "I think I would rather be wine drunk that face that man ever again."

Now, she was a changed person, but that only meant she wasn't going to mock the guy to his face.

"If I stay home... he wins."

"What did Nevel do to make you like this, and how can I be more like him?" Millicent asked.

"He wrote shit reviews about iCarly, hacked her website, and tried to kiss both of us on multiple occasions." Alexa answered, "Never got to try the tapenade that day."

They continued on with how horrible Nevel was and eventually made it to the rehearsal. They learned that they would have to wear robot suits to the actual wedding because Nevel had an obsession with some game.

Anyway, Freddie returned to Carly, Millicent, and Alexa with three champagne glasses in his hands.

"I love a robot-themed rehearsal dinner." He smiled, "Blending sci-fi and romance— it's like experiencing WALL-E all over again."

"God, you're such a nerd." Alexa said, taking a sip of her champagne.

Carly soon nudged her shoulder, "Laugh like I said something funny. Laugh!"

The group laughed in some way and only stopped when Carly gave her reason. She wanted Nevel to hear what a wonderful time she was having.

"I'm having a wonderful time."

"That's super convincing." Millicent said, "I need a mocktail. Freddie, Alexa, you're with me." She pointed towards Alexa, "We've got to keep an eye on him and his tender heart."

Alexa trailed behind the father-daughter duo and her name was soon called. She felt her eye twitching, possibly so bad it would pop out its socket.

She turned with a smile, "Nevel! Look at you!"

"Alexa Romano." He smiled in return, "I bet you just rue the day you never gave me a chance."

"You somehow ruined the kind conversation we could've had."

"Alexa, you know I kid." He laughed, pushing against her shoulder.

"I didn't know that... but it's great to know now."

She was trying her hardest to be ever so kind to him because his big day was mere hours away and after she wouldn't see him ever again.

"So... heard you've been single for a while. Even Carly's been in a relationship longer than you have, but that's okay. You'll both find your sweethearts eventually, I know I did."

Alexa nodded, sipping from her glass once more.

"And yet, I'm multimillionaire without a man." She chuckled, "Now, I'm going to get another drink and pretend that this didn't happen."

Another hour had passed and Freddie and Alexa stood with Nevel's fiancée, Prunella.

Whenever Prunella spoke she would tilt her head and blink at a rapid pace. She turned her attention back to Nevel and Alexa bumped Freddie's shoulder.

"She's odd." She said, "But almost so odd it's normal."

"It's because she's quirky and delightful."

"Are you saying I'm not quirky or delightful?" She asked, "Don't answer that. I'm not saying it's bad thing. She's just weird. She's got something in her brain that makes her animated."

Nevel and Prunella walked off and away from the duo as Prunella repeated their entire course for the dinner party and Nevel saying that she had a computer for a brain.

"That interaction though. That was weird." Alexa said.

"For a woman to be good with numbers? Alexa, get with the times."

"I will sue you for defamation if this keeps going on."

Carly and the others soon approached them and Carly mentioned that something felt off with Prunella.

The others, besides Alexa groaned but Harper did say that she overheard one of the bridesmaids saying that she had never met Prunella before tonight and that they were online friends.

"That is strange because I was talking to this other girl—"

Harper faced Spencer, "Did you get her number?"

"No." He said and continued, "And she said none of Prunella's family is here because they all died in a freak skiing accident."

"That's some what people nonsense."

"Has ever met her before this?" Alexa asked, "Because I don't think he's ever mentioned her on Instagram."

"You follow him on Instagram?" Freddie asked.

"No, I have people for that."

But none of them had much of a respond to Alexa's question and even if they could answer they had no time to answer because Nevel drew the attention towards him and Prunella.

"When dear Grandpapa Papperman told me I couldn't inherit my trust fund until I married a human woman, I was angry. But now I see Grandpapa only wanted to me to be rich in money and in love. So if everyone could raise their glass—"

"Oh, no!" Prunella cried, "Annie and Nancy's flight got canceled. I'm down two bridesmaids. I'm about to short-circuit."

"Oh dear. Where will we find someone with Annie's and Nancy's exact dress size who's brunette with high cheekbones and stands a hair under 5'6?" Nevel questioned.

"Oh my, God." Alexa muttered under her breath.

Carly looked back over her shoulder at Alexa and she only sipped her drink as Carly bent her knees to shorten herself.

"If only we were tall enough." Carly said.

"Oh, but you are. Carly, you're a classic 5'5 3/4 while Alexa's only 1/4 inches shorter." Prunella approached, "I know it's so much to ask, but would you do me the honor of standing beside me for the most important moment of my life?"

Alexa stepped forward with a smile, "If you sponsor my brand for free. I will happily be your bridesmaid."

Carly looked back over her shoulder at Alexa with wide-eyes. She couldn't say no now and in front of all these people... she most likely would've agreed anyway.

Carly turned and convinced the duo that she would show that this wedding was a sham and try Prunella was a robot.

"That is white people nonsense." Alexa smiled.

THE NEXT day, the wedding. Alexa and Carly had arrived to the venue and Alexa, of course, used her own beauty brand to use on herself and the other bridesmaids.

"Hey, Prunella." Carly called, "As your newest bridesmaid. I just wanted to say..." Carly began reading numbers off of her phone.

Prunella snipers, "Aw, you great too. I've been learning binary code to surprise Nevel for our robot vows."

Nevel's mother soon entered asking if they needed anything of the sorts.

"Could you rustle me up an ice cream sandwich?" Freddie asked.

"I meant more Prunella and her bridesmaids, but I suppose I can poke around."

And Carly was doing everything to try to prove that Prunella was a robot. She decided to help Prunella in the bathroom and Alexa and Freddie were left alone in the room as the other bridesmaids left to see the venue.

"You don't believe Carly with this whole robot thing, do you?" Freddie asked.

"Yeah, but I wouldn't admit that to her."

Freddie turned, his one leg tucked underneath the other to face her appropriately.

"Are you serious?" He smiled.

"What sane woman is going to willingly marry Nevel?" Alexa asked, "What woman is going marry Nevel, period?"

A few minutes passed and Carly was still determined to get down to this robot business.

Alexa grew tired and grabbed the magnet from Carly's hand and threw it at Prunella.

She rested her hand against her forehead and once she removed it, the magnet stuck.

"Why'd you throw this at me?" Prunella asked.

"Magnets symbolize lifelong attraction." Freddie said.

"I think you mean attachment because that magnet is stuck." Alexa said.

Carly brushed passed the two and stood next to Prunella.

"Quick question, though. Why did it stick to your head?"

"Oh, I don't want to talk about it." Prunella said, taking a magnet off.

"We're all friends. Give us the download."

Prunella sighed, "Okay, I have a steel plate in my head, because you know how my entire family died in that skiing accident? I was the only one who made it out alive, and oh, wow. Now I am going to cry."

Alexa pushed Carly's magnet, "I can't believe you paid me to throw that magnet at her. I'm so sorry, Prunella."

Soon, Freddie left and Carly, Alexa, and Prunella were left alone. And it didn't take long for Prunella's battery pack to literally fall from her back.

"My power supply. Don't tell anyone."

Prunella excused herself to go to the bathroom to be able to put her battery pack back in and Carly was freaking out.

Alexa was trying to calm the girl down, but to no avail. She suggested that they get some air and as soon as she opened the door Nevel stood on the other side.

"We figure out what's going on here, and it's insane." Carly said.

"Is it really so insane to think an epic love story spanning decades could finally land on happily ever after?"

"Maybe not as insane as Nora, but yeah, you're insane." Alexa said.

"You're right, but my love story with either of you is the truth."

"What?" The duo questioned.

"Come on. No more cat and mouse. It's time to let me catch you. Either of you, not picky."

The two looked over at each other before giving Nevel one last look and they quickly left the room.

"Can we have everyone's attention?" Carly called towards the crowd, "I have something to say, and I know it's going to shock most of you."

"We're getting married!" Nevel called, "Prunella is out, Carly is in."

Alexa heavily sighed and bent down, resting her hand against her knee, "Thank God it's not me." She stood upright and patted Carly's shoulder, "Sorry for your loss."

"What? We're not getting married." Carly said.

"Rabbi Lowenstein, go."

The Rabbi began to speak but Prunella entered the room objecting to the wedding.

"You can't object. First because I'm not marrying him."

"Then Alexa it is!" Nevel smiled, taking a small remote from him pocket and clicked a button.

Her original bridesmaids dress turning into a wedding dress just like Carly's moments before.

Alexa held the dresses ends, "I should've Miami." She muttered to herself before stepping forward, "I'm not marrying you either. You made a robot wife. You need help."

"And there it is." Freddie muttered.

"Admit it, Nevel." Carly said, "You made the perfect woman out of steel and technology and then staged this entire robot wedding so that she could blend in."

"Oh, my God. You think some wild make a robot of me? That is so nice, but why would you think that?" Prunella asked.

"Because you're way too good for Nevel, and you always blink in that crazy way."

"Oh, it's because I'm not used to these stupid lash extensions, and while they make me look amazing, I see very poorly."

"But what about your battery pack?" Carly asked, "We saw it fall out."

"Battery pack?" Nevel questioned, "What battery pack?"

"I have no idea. Carly's crazy." Prunella said, "She paid Alexa to throw a magnet at me."

"And shame on me for taking more money from her." Alexa said, "She paid me to pretend that you were a robot."

"Carly, Prunella isn't a robot. She's a friend I met playing Robot Uprising. Our relationship isn't romantic."

"Ooh, twist!" Spencer shouted, "Continue."

Alexa furrowed her brows, "Was this entire robot wedding to make Carly and I jealous. Because if it was you did a horrible job."

"Please, do you really think I'd stage a fake wedding, ask Freddie to be my best man to make sure either of you be here, even though I can't stand him and never could—"

"Hey!"

"Invite all your closest friends and and family, pay actors to fill out the guest list, all so you'd go mad with jealousy and realize that you and I were meant to be together all along?"

"Did you do that?" Alexa asked.

"Would it be so wrong if I did?"

"You paid all these guests?" Carly asked, "But your mother was here."

"Oh, come on, you both know that's not my mother. You've met my mother."

"We met her once." Alexa argued, "This entire thing insane. You can't pay these people enough for what you did."

"Okay. Okay. The wedding is off."

"Wait, wait, wait." Prunella called, "The wedding is on, at least I hope it is because there's still one secret I haven't told you yet."

And her secret? That she somehow still wanted to marry Nevel, but for real this time. And the two of them decided to get married for real.

After that, the reception went on. Millicent once again driving the actress away from Freddie. Her entire reasoning for pushing her and many others away from Freddie was because she didn't want him to feel heartbroken.

He went on to tell her that heartbreak was apart of life and that it was his job to protect her, not the other way around.

"We're you heartbroken when you and Alexa broke up?" Millicent asked.

Freddie put his fork down and turned his head in the direction of Alexa. She has her head rested on the table, her hands tucked underneath her head as she watched the other party members dancing with the others. She was still in the wedding dress also.

"Yeah, I think I was." Freddie said, facing Millicent.

"You know that say, "if it comes back it was meant to be; if it doesn't it never was"?" Millicent, "Do you that could happen with you and her?"

"I don't know, Millicent. She's... I don't know."

He knew what he wanted to say but chose not to. To dump on his daughter about an ex wasn't very ideal, especially at someone else's wedding.

"Go dance with her." Millicent said, "It's never to late."

Freddie gave Millicent a small smile and stood from his seat to join Millicent's side. He picked up two champagne glasses and sat down next to Alexa.

"Oh, no." Alexa said, sitting upright, "I need to remember every last detail of tonight so I can tell my therapist tomorrow. He's not going to believe this." She smiled.

"It wouldn't hurt to take your mind off of it for a minute or two would it?"

"What do you mean, Benson?"

He stood from his seat once more, holding his hand out, "Want to dance?"

Alexa quipped her lip to the side and grabbed ahold of his hand, "Just promise you're not getting down on one knee. I don't need Millicent to try and kill me."

Freddie smiled and led Alexa towards the dance floor.

This was peace for the both of them. Something to take their mind off of everything. Marriage, divorce, everything.

This was what they needed.

Just a dance.
