I had to sit down and call Wayne because I needed his help so he got in and helped me clean the blood and inserted the IV again, does he have to be so gentle when he was done he left me alone. I got my phone out and called my parents, Karen my best friend and Mr. Rian who's French accent drive me crazy especially when he's loud can someone tell him he really doesn't need to be that loud I heard him...

"3 weeks is a lot of time Paige and you are the head chef what will I do now are you sure that you can't work, if you Dont go to work Levine will just have to replace you I'm sorry"

"Really sir" I didn't know what to say so I said "S...o....sorry you're breaking I need to hang up" then hung up... the morphine was making me drowsy... I was so excited to be here, but I was fired within a week on the bright side Wayne is here...

I woke up around 10 am and the pain had subsided my mood was still the same, Wayne came to take a few tests and asked if I'm okay I just nodded I didn't mean to be cold but I was sad I just lost my job and my plan to bring my daughter here has failed... luckily Karen came in time before I drove myself insane...

"How are you feeling"

"3 rd degree burn on my right hand the same hand I make my gourmet meals with, I'm already fired that idiot won't even listen to me he actually said Levine will replace me"

"You've been overworking yourself Paige and you did more for that man even before you came here, you worked your ass off, changed your whole life to help him you are only  22 gosh you Dont have to have your whole life planned out"

"But you know I love cooking I didn't go to culinary school but he believed in me and gave me a chance when no one did, being a teenage mother wasn't easy but he gave me a chance you know ?"

"I know I just want you to stop feeling that way, come stay with me for a while we will figure things out ....on a lighter note Wayne," she said that smiling and dancing

"I ignored the Wayne part, What did I do to deserve you"

"You punched that stupid boy at school that stole my juice and I knew we were meant to be" we both laughed and she hugged me, she was shocked that Wayne was here but she said "it's meant to be between us" yeah right...

A few days later it was time to go home, Wayne gently removed my IV, and explained how I can make my hand heal faster he's touching me again..damn

"Wayne thank you for taking care of me I appreciate it" he looked at me and smiled

"It's my job and was a pleasure " I smiled

"See you around then"

"Wait," he said

I was so excited when be grabbed my hand then gently pulled me back to him like he wanted to kiss me what's wrong with this man... I mean we were so close I could feel his heartbeat ...and well he could hear min too he just stared at me .. why is he looking at me like that ...

"So beautiful, Can we meet for coffee or have dinner  please"

What's happening am I being punked ... I looked at him and nodded but he laughed and asked for my number after we exchanged numbers he walked me outside till I got in the Uber, when I got to my place Karen had moved everything to her apartment so I just needed to thank my landlord and return his keys... he was a nice man and he understood my situation and said I should get better...

I went to check the restaurant and it was painfully doing so well without me, ...Levine looked happy and he spoke to me a bit because it was packed.....they were busy so Levine said I can go wait in the kitchen he was enjoying this way too much..asshole

I waited outside using the kitchen exit and I found Jerome telling Selina how sorry he was that I fell for their trap and now I'm fired.

For a while, things were in slow motion and I couldn't believe that maybe I'm hearing things but he kept repeating it and Selina hugged him and told him it's for the best " did she just say it's for the best"?.....I'm a bit sad I mean we didn't get along that much but we still worked our asses off that's why the restaurant back home was such a success, they saw me and came after me but I was fast I can't believe Levine knew and he wanted to be the head chef, this was their plan all along wow...

He tried to call me but I just sent him a text saying I wish him the best as the head chef and blocked him, I Dont care how much you hate someone but you can't do what they did, never took leave, never got sick even after giving birth to Mia 2 weeks I was back at work...I dedicated these last 5 years to Mr.Rian and to be fired like that...

I got to Karen's place and I was alone in her apartment so I decided to try to make myself food I couldn't do it bloody hand so I ordered some food (Chinese ) and a few minutes later I was enjoying my fried rice....and decided to take a nap.

My phone rang waking me up and guess who it was...Wayne, he stayed in the same building as Karen I was surprised when he said it because Karen didn't know that too..this can't be a coincidence, right?
