Avneet's POV

“Someone think something real quick" I whispered covering my face with hair.

Roshni phone's rang and she picked it up immediately.

“Hello who- RISHABH?” She gasped and spit out the water she was drinking.

“Um yes yes...
-everyone is hungry..
-but we had breakfast...
-NO! can you get us dinner? Yes, pizza from ..from Rosebalts hotel?
-And I also heard they are serving special lunch today, so if you guys have not had food you can visit that place”
-Thank you, bye.”

“What happened??” Anu asked as soon as she kept the phone down.

“Problem solved!” she answered giggling.

I peeked over my shoulder and saw all of them discussing something and after two three minutes they left and I finally relaxed in my seat setting my hair back in place.

Later, Rosh explained how Rishi called her to ask if the girls were back to the hotel and wanted something to eat. She said they still had work but would love to get pizza for dinner from the Rosebalts Restaurant which was a bit far away from our current place. She also told him they were serving special food today and they should have their lunch at that place. Which is why, they left from this cafe.

“Thats so smart of you, to make up all those lies in a split second” Ashnoor said admiring her brain.

“Thank you, thank you everyone” she said waving her hand pretending to be a queen.

“But how come Rish had your number?” I asked taking a bite from Anu's cheese pasta.

“Uh... I don't know, maybe I gave it to him? I don't remember clearly haha” she replied nervously.

Hmmmm

“It's six here itself, finish your food quickly so we can leave for the club” Jannat said.

I picked up my phone to check if lipstick had messed but saw a text

- Have breakfast on time and drink water.

I quickly deleted the text upon realizing the clownery I did, hoping against hope he did not see that by any chance.

I deleted within seconds, he must not have seen it.

“Close your mouth gurls, a bee might enter” Roshni laughed seeing our reaction to this place.

“This. is. Heaven” Vaishnavi Di said dazed.

“Thank you thank you sooo much for this, I can't even explain how much this means to me” I said hugging Jannat and then Roshni.

“Arey? My only best friend is getting married, if I won't do this who else wil?” She said and kissed my cheeks.

“You're the bestesttt of the best, my best friend” I said pinning her with another hug.

“Bas enough now, let's go inside or do you want to keep standing here all night?”

“Wouldn't it be nice if we came here with the boys? They would also get to enjoy na” I said sadly.

“Are you talking about their enjoyment or yours huh?" she teased and I hit her in the ribs.

“Geez woman”

I am having second thoughts about this place. Firstly I thought it would be a ‘our bachelor's party’ in a separate area but there were so many people and the place felt very weird and crowded.

“Avneet chill! This is all because you barely went clubbing in NY too, just try to loosen up you'll enjoy it” Jannat whispered next to me, casually grooving to the music all the while.

As told, I let myself loose and started enjoying this atmosphere. We had fruit bombs and shots and giggled as we watched the pole dancers pulling different stunts. I was having the time of my life until the song changed to a sensual one Zara Zara Touch me and the stranger beside me started getting a little too cozy with me. I tried to move to a different spot but he followed me there as well.

Doing the only thing that felt right at the moment, I excused myself and made my way to the women's restroom. Breathing a sigh of relief I leaned against the corridor and dialled Siddharth's number. It ringed twice before the phone was snatched from my hand.

Bad choice leaving the dance floor and coming here to a more secluded area.

I shifted my gaze towards the hand and realised it was the same creepy man from the dance floor. As a reflex I scanned the corridor and my heartbeat quickened as I saw no one here.

Breathe and try to think something.

“Do you need something?” I asked trying to keep my voice normal and ignore the loud thumping in my chest.

“Yes, I need you”

“Oh? I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend, look at this- and it's my Wedding tomorrow” I said showing him my engagement ring the one which Siddharth gave to me when he proposed.

“That makes this even more exciting” He smirked and pulled me closer but before I could think anything else there was a loud noise and I felt myself free falling as his grip on my hand loosened.

“Come on Avneet Di let's go! We need to leave before his friends find us, he's not alone" Reem whisper yelled in my ears as she held me firmly.

I looked to my right and saw Ashnoor and Anushka holding a vase each and the blood on it made me realise what just happened.

“Di let's go! Jannat Di and others are waiting for us near the back door" Ashnoor shrieked and before I knew I was running away from the scene.

“Quick quick let's get out" Vaish Di spoke hastily as we reached the back door.

We ran for another five minutes until we were sure that we left the club far behind.

“Oh my God” I croaked and Roshni handed me a water bottle.

“Are you okay Avneet? I hope Reem, Ashnoor and Anushka reached there on time” Jannat asked sitting down on the bench, next to me.

“I was so scared, but thanks to all of you nothing happened or else...” I stopped mid sentence, shuddering at the thought.

“We were scared too” Anushka admitted.

“I don't understand how did y'all come to know I was in danger? And Reem said something about the guy not being alone and having friends? What was that?” I asked confused.

“Roshni Di saw you leaving the dance floor and shortly a guy followed in the same direction. She told us about it and we felt suspicious so we followed too. But three guys stopped us from entering that corridor. We asked the waitress for some help and she told us there was a back door” Ashnoor said recalling the incident.

“We waited for you guys near the door as Ash, Anu and Reem started searching for you and you know the rest of it” Roshni concluded.

“All three of you are soo brave for doing what you did there, thank you so much” I expressed my gratitude and hugged them.

“Kabhi humse bhi gale mil liya karo”  I turned around swiftly and gasped seeing the same men from the club standing behind us.

“Now don't even think about running, it's futile anyways” one of them said laughing and I looked at Vaish Di afraid they might be right, as they were on their bikes and us...
we had nothing...

“Dekho, we have called the police and they must be here any minute, it would be better if you don't come any closer” Reem warned him.

“Police? We are well aware of your ways to trick us, we've heard these false warnings more than hundred times” he laughed off.

Shit

“See, let's make a deal here. Take away our money and whatever jewellery we have but after that let us go” Jannat said pointing towards our handbags.

“Do we look like fools to you? We can have your money as well as you, if we want and right now we want both” the man who looked like their leader spoke.

We're doomed.

Before we could think about ways to escape, one of them came forward and grabbed Reem's hand. On instinct I tried to hit him with my handbag on the eyes but someone was already quick and punched him right on his jaw.

“Not my sister” he said seething.

He freed Reem from that guy and I pulled her to our side in an instant and saw Rishabh, Faisal and Abhi Bhai too.

They started brawling and punches and kicks were thrown, one guy even tried to pull Jannat and Roshni towards them but Abhi Bhai and Rishabh were quick to act and beat them to pulp.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the leader remove a gun out from his pants and pointing it towards Siddharth.

There was a shot fired the next second and the guy fell to the ground, his shoulder bleeding. Surprised I turned to look at the opposite direction to see the police had arrived, fortunately.

I ran without bothering about anything and engulfed him in a hug.

“Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere?” He asked breaking the hug and checking me from head to toe, bringing tears in my eyes.

“You are hurt, look at your knuckles” I sniffed looking at the blood.

“Thats nothing to worry about, relax” he hugged me back and ran his hands on my back in an attempt to soothe me.

“Wait, I have to check if the others are fine, come on” he pecked my nose and we moved towards the others.

After asking and checking Reem, Anu and Ashnoor for ten times at the least, he let out a sigh of relief.

“Let's go” Abhi Bhai said.

“Where?” Vaishnavi Di asked nervously.

“There's a restaurant here, we'll have food and then go straight home” He replied.

“And we need to talk as well” Siddharth added looking at me and I shuddered at the thought.

“You could've atleast told us y'all were having a party?”

“Im sorry bhai” I said looking down at my plate.

“See, we are not saying whatever happened was your fault, but it WAS your fault not taking precautions and informing us about it. If we knew you girls'location we would atleast be careful and be there to pick y'all up.” Siddharth said softly.

“I know, we'll be careful next time” said Di.

“But how did you guys reach there on time? how did you know we were close to that club?” Ashnoor asked.

“We got a clue about it when Rishabh said he saw you girls at the cafe we went in the afternoon. Yet we were skeptical about it and thought he must've seen someone else there”

“But then when we reached home, it was 7 in the evening and you girls were still not home, we got worried. Siddharth went to your room and saw things were scattered, dresses and makeup was lying all around so we knew y'all were off to party somewhere.”

“Then Faisu said he remembered Jannat talking about visiting the special night club over here. So, our first thought was you were at this place. We didn't mind but then I got your missed call but before I could answer the call ended. I had a gut feeling you or someone else were in danger and hence we took the car and set off to that place and found all of you in that condition on the way” concluded Siddharth.

Thank God Rishabh saw us in the cafe and Faisu remembered about the club thing and I called him at the right time. Hashh.

“What do we order for dessert?” Jannat said changing the topic.

“I've already ordered chocolate truffle cake, i hope that's alright for everyone” Rishabh said smiling.

“Wait, did you know this is Roshni's favourite dessert? You bet she's having a nice time” Siddharth winked at her and she continued eating her food after glancing at Rishabh once.

The cake arrived soon and I picked up the knife to cut and serve it among everyone but Rishabh stopped me.

“What?” I asked.

He pushed his chair behind and got down on his knee, taking Roshni's hand, who was sitting next to him.

“Rishabh what-?”

“Shh let me speak my heart out. I.. I'm not good at this so I'll say sorry in advance. I have liked you since the very moment I saw you. I don't know if it's love or not but I feel for you and I like when you're around. Even in a crowded room, I find myself searching for you. I don't do girlfriends but I would like to spend more time with you. Will you give me a chance to adore you and care for you like a man to woman?” He confessed and Roshni said yes as he wiped a tear that rolled down her cheek.

I looked over at Siddharth and found him smiling knowingly.

Flashback

“Its such a beautiful day Sidd, I just want to lie down in your arms and get up directly next morning.” I said snuggling more into him.

“You really love the terrace area of my house huh” he teased and I laughed.

“Its the only place where Dadi has no chance of  catching us red handed. On top of that the scenery and the flowers you've planted here are gorgeous” I smiled.

“I have an idea! We'll spend our weekends here and have movie nights?  How does that sound? And we'll have this little crib placed over there, so my princess can be close to us and watch the movie too” he asked, eyes twinkling with excitement.

I pulled him close by his collar to describe how ‘good’ his idea was.

“Ohh hey Rishabh” I left the shirt immediately and pushed him back to his seat.

“I like Roshni” he said crossing his arms.

“What about it? All of us like Roshni” Siddharth said with a straight face.

“Sidd! Stop playing around with him” I hit him with the plate and he raised his hands in defence.

“Stop bickering and tell me what should I do?” He asked in frustration.

“Obviously bro! Tell her, what else?” Sidd answered.

“What if she doesn't like me back?” he asked nervously.

“Thats on her. But you will be the one left regretting if you don't confess” I said.
