Anyways, Aladdin is going off air, I'm very emotional 🤧

Avneet's POV

"What is happening here?" She asked.

Something romantic was about to happen here, if only you hadn't came.

"Avneet are you okay? Is your eye still stinging?" Siddharth asked frantically and winked at me to play along.

"Yeah yeah. It's kinda better now" I said covering my left eye with my palm.

"What's wrong?" Dadi asked again.

"Something went in my eye and Siddharth was helping me, ma'am" I answered.

"Oh okay. But what were both of you doing in the kitchen in the first place?" She asked suspiciously.

"Ohh... Siddharth Sir was hungry so I decided to cook him pasta" I said and Siddharth looked at me surprised.

Oh God! If I told her Siddharth was cooking for ME...

"Oh yeah... What are you waiting for? Cook him pasta and some for me too" she said settling down on the nearby chair.

Umm... who's gonna tell her that I don't know how to cook. All I've ever done in the kitchen is prepare tea and maggi...

"Come on, weren't you about to chop those vegetables? Do it" Siddharth said casually.

Okay! Cut vegetables

I started cutting the coriander with very much difficulty but Siddharth interrupted me.

"This is how you chop vegetables?! Wait, I'll do it, you watch and learn" he said angrily.

Scared, I handed over the knife to him. He chopped the needed amount and moved back to his position.

Now what do I do next?

"Are you gonna wait forever to boil the water?" He asked irritated and I took that as a sign to boil water.

"Do you know how much salty and spicy I prefer my pasta?" He asked again.

"Umm..no" I said timidly.

"I knew you wouldn't have any idea about that too. Observe me now" he said disappointed and added all the ingredients.

Finally after going through all that, the pasta was ready to be served.

"Okay, send this to me in my room" Dadi said and left the kitchen.

Hashh...

"I'm so sorry Siddharth. I didn't know how to make a pasta and-" I couldn't finish the sentence as he placed a spoonful of pasta in my mouth.

"Mm..it tastes so yum" I said moaning in pleasure.

"Who made it afterall" Sid said smiling.

"Ofcourse I made it" I replied taking another spoon.

"Oh really? You made it?" He asked taking a spoon himself.

"Just kidding Sid. Thank you so much" I said kissing his cheek.

"Oh come on. And btw you looked really scared. Were you acting or...?" He asked feeding me another spoon.

"No Sid. I got really scared when you were angry on me" I confessed.

"Avu, I was just pretending to be angry. I'm sorry if I scared you" he said kissing my knuckles.

"It's okay Siddharth. But that was a very smart move, like while acting you helped me out in making the pasta. I've got a very smart boyfriend" I said flipping my hairs.

"A very handsome one too" he said boasting and I pulled his cheeks.

"A very cute one too" I said.

"Enough now. Have the pasta, you were hungry right?" He said shoving another morsel in my mouth.

"Jannat, we are getting late. Mrs. Ratna's flight should be landing anytime soon. Speed up a bit" I said with a surge of urgency as she was driving the car very slow.

"Avneet, I can't drive faster. Siddharth has specially told me to drive slow." she said.

"Alright then. You get in my seat and let me drive" I said.

"Not possible" she said speeding up a bit.

"Yeah drive faster like this, or else I'll have to drive" I said threatening her.

"Aye aye captain" she replied grinning.

"Hey Avneet, what is your dream proposal?" Jannat asked me out of nowhere.

"Why are you asking me that all of sudden?" I asked amused.

"I was just wondering. Tell me" she insisted.

"Okay.... You already know I don't like fancy and expensive setups. Anything simple would do it. The important thing is that my better half should be loving, trusting and understanding. The proposal doesn't matter that much." I said gazing at the starry night from the window.

"Seriously yaar! You didn't even answer my question properly" she said whining.

"Now concentrate on driving" I said sternly.

After picking up and dropping Mrs. Ratna at home, it was time for some another relative of Siddharth.

"So, Mr. Vijay and Mrs. Shreya both have the same timing. What are we gonna do now?" Jannat said looking at the schedule.

"I'll go pick Mr. Vijay and you go to Mrs. Shreya." I said.

"You'll go alone?" She asked worried.

"I'll go with her" said Faisu coming up to us.

"What are you doing here Fais?" Jannat said surprised.

"Thought you might need my help" he said grinning.

"That's so sweet of you. Can you accompany Avu?" She requested and he agreed immediately.

"Thanks" she said and left not before kissing him on the cheek.

Lovebirds 💕

"Let's go Avneet" he said blushing.

"Thanks Fais!" I said mimicking Jannat and gave him a flying kiss which made him blush even more furiously.

"So, Avneet I need your help" he said after while driving.

"Do you need me to drive the car? It's okay with me" I said assuming he must be too sleepy to drive.

"No I'm good with that. Actually it's something else.... If you...if you had to propose a girl, what's the best thing you could plan?" He said focusing his eyes on the road ahead.

"Oh My God..... You're planning to propose Jannat!!" I said getting excited.

"Shh! Don't tell her this please. I want it to be a surprise" he requested.

"Ofcourse I won't. And about the plan, I'll help you. See if you have to propose a girl, the best way is ...............
..........................." I explained.

"My God! I couldn't have thought of anything better! Thank you so much Avneet" he said gratefully.

"Anything for you and Jannat" I said waving him off.

Siddharth's POV

I was so worried about Avu when she was going to pick up our relatives. I tried accompanying her but ofcourse...
Dadi came there out of nowhere and I couldn't. However I requested Jannat to drive the car slowly and carefully.

I couldn't sleep until she arrived so I kept pacing around in the porch. That's when Faisu called me.

"Hii Faisal, Jannat called and said Avneet was with you. Is everything okay? Is she alright?" I asked frantically.

"Yeah she is with me and Mr. Vijay is with us too" he said.

"Can you please give her the phone, I might as well talk to her" I said hoping he won't decline.

"No um actually you can't talk to her" he said hesitantly.

"Why? Faisal is everything alright?" I asked getting worried.

"Siddharth.....we got into an accident and...and we're in the....the hospital... I'm so sorry Siddharth...." He said but the phone slipped out of my hand.

Av..Avneet.... hospital........

I quickly picked up the phone, "Fais, she is not injured much right? A little scratches here and there maybe? And the baby, my baby is fine right?" I asked not trying to hide my shaky voice.

"Siddharth... I'm so sorry.... I'm so sorry" he said.

"Answer the damn question Faisal! Is my Avneet okay? Is my baby okay?" I asked once again, tears falling down my eyes.

"Siddharth....the baby...the baby didn't make it.... I'm so sorry Sid, they couldn't save the baby" he said remorsefully and I fell down to my knees.

My baby....our baby didn't make it.... It is all my fault... If...if I didn't let her go to the airport this late at night..she would've been at home....with me. Our baby would've been safe. All because of me.....

Tring tring tring

I woke up in a jerk when my phone rang and I found myself covered in sweat.

Shitt....It was a fucking dream... Fuckk

I looked at my phone just to see that Faisal was calling me.

The same thing happened in the dream.... What if.......No Siddharth! That was just a bad dream

"Hello" I said nervously as I answered the call.

"Hello Siddharth, there's an emergency" he said and I started panicking.

Oh my God! Please let Avneet be safe..

"What's wrong Faisu? Is Avneet okay?" I asked trying to stay calm.

"Yeah obviously she's okay, the real question is are you okay Sid? You sound so nervous" he said and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Thank you God! I promise you I'll go on a trip to your pilgrim soon.

"Oh I just woke up, maybe that's why" I said.

"Okay and I just called because could you please come to the parking lot?" He asked and I rushed to the parking lot immediately.

"I'm in front of your car now" I said hanging up the call.

At the same time, Vijay uncle came out of the car followed by Faisu.

"Hii Siddharth, how are you?" He said greeting me.

"I'm fine uncle. How are you?" I asked politely.

"I'm great now that I heard both of my boys are getting married" he said smiling.

"You must be very tired due to the journey, Faisal will take you to your room now. We have all the time to talk and catch up tomorrow" I said and he nodded.

"Where's Avneet?" I whispered to him as he was about to lead uncle to the mansion.

"She fell asleep halfway. She's in the car" he whispered back and left along with uncle.

Fell asleep... that's something Avneet would do

I walked up to the door and saw her sleeping peacefully next to the driver's seat. She was looking so peaceful, away from all the worries in the world. Sleeping like an angel. And here I am, scared as hell.

Slowly I unlocked the seatbelt and got her out of the car so that I don't wake her up. Then I carried her to my room and laid her on the bed.

Thank God Dadi is asleep or else she would've caused a havoc if she saw Avneet in my arms like this.

"You know Avneet, I was so scared after I saw the dream. But now that you are here I feel so blessed" I said kissing her forehead.

"And baby, I'm so sorry I made your mommy work in this condition. I promise I won't let her out of my sight anymore. Please forgive your father" I said talking to her belly.

Then I turned off the lights and laid down beside her, covering both of us in the blanket.

"Siddharth" I heard Avneet say and I sighed.

"I'm so sorry I woke you up, go back to sleep" I said patting her head.

"No need" she said hoarsely and snuggled close to my chest.

"Are you thirsty? Wait I'll get you a glass of water" I said getting up but she wrapped her hands around my torso and I sat back down.

"Don't go please. I feel cold" she said in her sleepy voice.

"It's not that cold baby." I said as I was myself not feeling cold.

"But I'm feeling cold" she argued.

"Oh you were in the car and as much as I know you, you must surely have rolled down the windows to enjoy the night breeze. See, now you're feeling cold" I said softly so that my voice doesn't hurt her ears.

"I'm sorry but please sleep with me tonight. I promise I won't bother you at all. I don't feel good. Please Siddharth" she said pleading and my heart broke at the sight.

"Avneet... it's okay. I'm right here. You don't have to be scared anymore. I'm not going anywhere." I said kissing her forehead.

"I'm sorry Sid. I'm so sorry" she said and I looked at her in confusion.

"Why are you sorry? I don't understand Avneet, what's the matter?" I asked.

"Do you remember what I told you about my parents?" She said slowly and I nodded.

"Yeah, your parents moved to the US, when you were 13 right? Why are bringing that up now?" I asked utterly confused.

"No Siddharth.... They didn't move to the US.... I lied to you" she said avoiding my eyes.
