Avneet's POV

I am in wonderland....This is so peaceful........

Then the world started shaking and my eyes jerked open.

"Avneet....wake up! We have completed the stairs." Siddharth whispered in my ears.

"Ohh....I was sleeping" I said rubbing my eyes and that's when I realized he is still carrying me in his arms.

"So what else do you think you were doing?" he asked narrowing his eyes.

"Nothing" I blushed.

He helped me down on my legs and signalled me to go inside.

"Aren't you coming in? And where are the others?" I asked.

"I will come after five minutes.....just to avoid suspicion. And the rest of them, I guess, are already inside." He said. I nodded and moved inside.

"Avneet! Where were you?" asked Bhaiya as soon as he saw me.

"Umm....." I tried finding some excuse.

"I am definitely sure she must have seen a cute kid and stopped to mess around with him/her. She always does that. Once when we were in Vegas, we got late for an important meeting due to this obsession of hers. When the senior executive asked us the reason, I made up an excuse saying, she was late because of kids. When he asked whose kids, Avneet was about to say 'stranger's' but I quickly said 'mine'” said Jannat recalling that moment.

"I didn't knew about this" laughed Di.

"Come on now! Panditji must have been waiting for us, since God knows how long!" I said remembering the moment when he ran in full speed.

"You guys didn't start yet?" asked Siddharth on his arrival.

"And may I know Janaab, where were you?" asked Roshni.

"Ohh...that! I forgot my mobile phone in the car" he lied.

"Okay" said Roshni.

"You guys took so long" said Panditji.

"Yeah sorry! We didn't have a mixture of all complan, horlicks and boost in our childhood." murmured Reem.

"Abhishek and Vaishnavi you both sit in front of this holy fire and do as I say." he ordered.

They did as they were told and we sat behind them, joining our hands.

As I closed my eyes and started praying, someone tapped me on my head. I looked around and saw Sumedh sitting beside me. No. He couldn't have done that.

I closed my eyes again and continued praying. This time too someone tapped me but harder. Ouch! Who the hell is this. I opened my eyes and found everyone sitting perfectly still.

Am I hallucinating?

This time I pretended to close my eyes but in reality kept them slight open to catch the culprit. From the corner of my eyes I saw a hand approaching me and I quickly grasped it.

What? Siddharth?!

He was sitting next to Sumedh. He was doing all this behind Sumedh's back.

"What the hell?" I whispered going behind Sumedh's back as well.

"Arey I just wanted to tell you something" he whispered.

"What?" I lip synced.

"You look beautiful" he whispered.

Aww! I blushed. So cute!

"Don't think I would be saying this to you! I wanted to say that try not to fall asleep while praying" he said and started giggling.

Before I could say anything further Sumedh turned around and said, " Mere peeth piche baat karna band karo" he requested. (Stop talking behind my back)

And we sat back and continued praying.

Dumbo! I gave him a look before closing my eyes. He started laughing silently.

It took a long time for the ceremony to finish. After we were done the priest gave us the "prasad".

"Finally! This is done!" exclaimed Bhaiya.

"Yeah! Come on let's leave now!" suggested Di.

"Kids, I don't think it's a good idea. Its 10 pm now. I don't think you guys should travel back at this time. The roads go through the forests" said Panditji.

"But.....what will we do here all night? Is there any guest house in the vicinity?" asked Siddharth.

"No there isn't. But you guys can stay in my cottage. Although it's not too huge but it can be managed for a night." he answered.

"No it's alright. We will manage anyhow. Thanks so much for your help" said Di.

He smiled in answer and took us to his cottage. There was a single room in there. He said he'll sleep outside and we can use the room.

"Umm....I am hungry" said Noor.

"I already knew that. I don't have anything prepared yet but" he said feeling sorry.

"No it's okay. I think fruits will be enough" said Sumedh.

Then after having the fruits we laid down the mattress and divided the room into half. One side for the ladies and the other for the gentlemen.

"Good night everyone shouted in unison as we went to sleep.

Past midnight.

I woke up from the sleep due to the sudden movement around me. As I opened my eyes I found Siddharth leaning on me.

Ohh! Nice dream huh!

And I went back to sleep.

"Hey wake up! Didn't you see me?" Siddharth's voice woke me up again.

He was there! I am not dreaming.

Shittt!

"Are you out of your mind?" I whisper shouted but he covered my mouth and pushed me back.

"Ssshh! Just listen to me! I need to talk to you" he whispered still leaning on me.

"Siddharth Vibha Nigam!! Are you insane? Is this the time to talk? What if someone gets up and finds us in this comprising position? What will they think?" I whispered.

"No one will! Just stay where you are! Please?" he pleaded and I shook my head in 'No'.

"Tumhe meri kasam!" he said.

Well played.

"Okay! First get off me!" I demanded.

If we stay in this position for one more minute, I'll surely get crushed under his weight.

"What? You just now agreed!" he said confused.

"Arey I mean you are too heavy! Get off me and then talk!" I explained.

And then he smirked and turned around in order to switch our positions. Now I was lying on him and he was under me.

Wow! Smart!

"What do you want to talk about so urgently?" I asked.

Before he could answer Noor got up from her place.

"Give me a blanket quickly!" he said our of nowhere.

"What? Why?" I asked confused.

"Arey! So that I can cover us both with the blanket." he said urgently.

Quickly I gave him the blanket and he pulled it over us.

Sid and me.....both under a blanket!

We thought we were safe but just then I heard Noor say, "Avneet Di"
