Yes! We are back to school after 6 long years!

As to the promise we gathered here at our school grounds for our first reunion. It felt so good and rejuvenating to meet all my batch-mates. Though we are in touch through various social medias, it has been 6 years since we all met.

After 5 years of hardship, all are well settled in their lives. Few are married and have kids while the rest are still single and many are undergoing their higher studies. Leaving behind their busy lives, all were here from various parts of the state just to relive all those good old days.

Walking through the silent corridors and looking at the empty classrooms all the memories came flashing in my heart. The days when we used to hurry up to the prayer halls, impatiently wait for the bell to ring, compete with each other for answering the teacher's questions curiously, have fights for fun, rush to the grounds during sports hours, share foods, all brought tears in our eyes.

We went inside an empty class room, sat on the benches where we used to sit earlier and reminisced our days. All had something to share. When it was the last day of school, the teachers let us have fun and left to their cabins. We all started shouting, playing games, running around the classroom chasing our friends. To the end of the day, we started splashing inks and poured water on each other. When the day ended all were drenched in water.

It all heightened when we boarded our school van. On the way back to our home, we halted the van near a silent area and celebrated a mini party. Instead of eating, we had a food war. Me, being the naughty kid and pet for all was drenched with Coke. My senior emptied the whole bottle of Coke on me. It was so much fun being with them.

Once when we went for a picnic to a water theme park nearby, I was almost drowning to death. I slipped and fell in the pool. As I didn't know swimming I had a fateful experience. If my friend Dharani hadn't come, I would be in heaven right now. After that incident I never dared to go near water, even after my friends' continual pestering. I just sat and watched my friends having fun.

We spoke about many more stuffs like our victory in inter-school competitions, annual day functions, sports meet, farewell parties, each other's crushes, first puppy love, copying in exams, sleeping during lectures and getting punishments from the teachers.

After recollecting all these wonderful days, we left to meet our school Principal and staff members.

Finally we bid farewell to our school once again with the promise of meeting again after 5 years. We parted our ways with teary smiles plastered on our faces.
