When Briar woke up, it was to loud, panicked shouting.

"Scarlet, just CALM DOWN!"
"How can I?! MY BOOBS ARE SQUARE SADIE!"

Briar groaned as the shouting gave her a pounding headache, and she heard a gasp. "Briar! You're up!" She felt a hand grab her arm, and another did the same for her shoulder before she was gently pulled up. She was sitting now, and once her head didn't pound so much she peeled her eyes open.

Then stopped and stared.

All around them was a blocky environment. They were in a field, underneath a single tree, and the grass and the leaves swayed in the steady wind blowing through. Her pink hair brushed against her cheek and tickled it. Then she realized she didn't have pink hair. She scrambled to her feet and looked around with wide eyes, backing up as she clutched her hands to her chest. Standing in front of her were two women she had never seen before. One of them had blond hair dyed red at the tips, gold gleaming eyes, black ripped jeans, and a red plaid shirt with brown boots.

The other was wearing dark gray overalls ripped at the knees and a white shirt that exposed her shoulders, and white shoes to tie it all together. Her hair was such a dark brown that it looked black in some places, grayish-green eyes, and a flower crown made up white, yellow, and red flowers with green leaves poking out every now and then. The one with the flower crown quickly held up her hands.

"Briar, Briar, it's alright!" She rushed. Briar stared with wide eyes, trying to figure out why her voice was familiar before she remembered what they had been shouting earlier.

"Sadie?" She whispered. Sadie relaxed and nodded quickly. She gestured to the blonde beside her.

"And this is Scarlet!" Briar stared at them.

"Where... Where are we?!" She cried.

"We're..." Sadie took a deep breath.

"We're in Minecraft!" Sadie shouted. Briar stared at them before she looked down at herself. She wore light dark green pants with a black belt wrapped around them, and a brown shirt that covered her shoulders. Thin gray sleeves came out from under the shirt fabric on her shoulders to cover her arms, and her boots were a darker green to match her pants

She knew this skin. She knew she had brown eyes and pink hair because she had made this skin. It had been a long time, but she never forgot about it. It had been her main and she had made it from scratch and was very proud of that. Her breathing picked up as she began to panic, looking around with wide eyes.

"Briar!" She looked at Sadie. "Please, just try to stay calm, it's alright-!" But Briar suddenly rounded up on Scarlet, brown eyes burning with sudden anger.

"This is your fault!" She screamed, tackling the younger girl to the ground. Scarlet shouted out before they started rolling back and forth on the floor, wrestling each other roughly as they were screaming. Sadie watched with wide eyes before she broke out of her shock and dove down, getting right in between them as she shoved at their chests with one hand each.

"Enough! Enough!" She shouted over their screaming, finally prying them off of each other. They scrambled to their feet but she stayed in between them, her hands raised as if ready to strike anyone who so much as threatened to move. "The last thing we need to do is fight! Enough, you children!"

"She started it!" Scarlet shouted.

"And I'm ending it!"  Sadie shouted back, and both girls became completely silent. Sadie took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"Listen. This isn't some wacky dream. Somehow, we've been zapped into Minecraft, and we need to survive." She looked up at the sky and winced as she studied the sun's position. "It's around midday. The night's gonna fall soon, and you know what that means?" Their hearts dropped. "Monsters. That's what it means. So we need to get wood, we need to get tools, and we need to bunker down for the night." She stepped back and looked at them sternly. "And to do that, we have to work together." She looked between them.

"If we wanna survive, we've gotta work together."

Sadie could already tell this was going to be hard. They hadn't been working together for two years. But she wasn't going to die in this game.
