"Come on Vlad. We are going to be late." Danny said turning ghost. He was four months along. He was starting to show, but the cape helped to cover his body so no one could see. Danny grabbed a bottle of wine to bring with.

"I'm coming. What are you doing with that wine?" Vlad said after he turned ghost.

"I usually bring some type of drink. Last year it was beer. This year is wine. I hope you don't mind that I took one of yours. I didn't take an expensive one. I chose a cheep wine. One that they will get drunk off easily." Danny said as he walked into Vlad's lab.

"It's fine Daniel. But next year you can choose any one you want." Vlad said opening the portal. Danny put his hood up and got it not the ghost portal with Vlad leading the way to Skulker's for the party.

When they got there Skulker was way past buzzed. So was every one else. "Here you go Skulker." Plasmius said taking the wine out of Danny's hand and giving it to Skulker.

"Thanks Plasmius. This should be good." Skulker said, "Who is that next to you? I bet it's the whelp."

Danny started grumbling to himself and asked, "How did you know?"

"I don't know I just guessed. I like the cape though." Skulker said walking off almost falling over.

"I guess I can take my hood down now. Skulker is going to talk about my new cape because when he is drunk he can't keep his mouth shut." Danny said taking his hood down.

"I guess we could go sit. You can't drink at all." Vlad said.

"Why can't he drink at all?" Ember asked walking over to them.

"Because I made a promise that I would not get drunk to my parents." Danny quickly said.

"Then you can at least have one drink." Ember said.

"Sorry Ember he said no." Vlad said.

"Why are you in this pops? I was talking to Phantom." Ember said.

Vlad opened his mouth to say something but Danny said, "Shut up both of you. I don't want to drink tonight. Maybe next time. I have had to much to drink lately."

They both looked at Danny with shock but Ember said, "Fine baby pop. What's with the cape? You looked better with out it."

"I needed a change in my appearance." Danny said walking away.

"Wow. What's up with him? Did you do something Plasmius?" Ember asked.

"Why do you assume I did anything?" Vlad asked.

"Because he showed up here with you." Ember said.

"And what if I did something? You would be able to do anything about it. Plus it is his choice to do what ever he wants. I can't tell him what to do all the time." Vlad said following Danny into the crowd.

When Vlad finally caught up with Danny he asked, "Are you alright Daniel?"

"Yeah, my emotions almost got out of hand. I had to walk away so I didn't cause a scene." Danny said.

"Okay. Let's go sit down. I think I saw an empty couch over there." Vlad said pointing across the room.

Danny tried to follow Vlad through the crowd but he lost Vlad about half way through. Danny kept bumping into the other ghosts, "I'll never get though this crowd." He walked slowly making his way through. When he made it through he saw Vlad waiting for him by the couch. He went over to the couch and plopped down on it, "I'm done moving."

"Are you that tired from walking across the room?" Vlad asked.

"Yes I am. I almost fell over like ten times." Danny complained wrapping himself in his cape.

Vlad sat on the couch and said, "We could leave if you want."

"No you go have some fun. I'll be here waiting." Danny said pulling his hood up and relaxing more.

"Okay, but I'll be right back." Vlad said walking off to go get a drink.

When he got back he saw Danny using his cape as a blanket and laying down. At his feet was the little ghost dog Danny named Cujo.

"Cujo down." Vlad said pointing at the ground. Cujo looked at Vlad and growled at him. Vlad tried to pick Cujo up but Cujo growled at him every time Vlad got with in a foot of him, "Fine have it your way, I'll go sit over there." Vlad said sitting on the floor by Danny's head.

Vlad heard someone laughing at him, "What Plasmius couldn't take the little puppy dog off the couch so he could sit down?"

"Shut up Box Ghost. That dog does not like anyone but Daniel." Vlad said.

"Not true. He likes me." Box Ghost said. He walked over to Cujo. Cujo looked up and saw Box Ghost and started growling at him, "Cujo remember me." He reached out his hand and tried to pet him but Cujo bit at his hand.

"Haha it doesn't look like he likes you very much." Plasmius said laughing.

"But I was just petting him before you came here. He was super nice to everyone who came here." Box Ghost said.

"He is protecting his master right now. He bonded with Daniel." Plasmius said.

"Why would he be protecting him now? He never did this before. Something must be happening with Phantom. Well the way that Cujo is acting I think he is going to follow Phantom home." Box Ghost said.

Vlad mumbled to him self quietly, "Then I guess he is going to have some explaining to do."

"Did you say something?" Box Ghost asked.

"No I did not. Now please go away before you wake up Daniel." Vlad said.

"Okay." Box Ghost said walking away.

Vlad looked down at his drink and set it next to him, "I think I have had enough to drink." He said to himself.

"Oh come in Vlad, I know you can drink more than that." Technus said.

"I see that your speech is better." Vlad said avoiding the conversation.

"Yes it is." Technus said, "Now how about another drink?"

"You are drunk. I can smell you over here." Vlad said.

"Who is on the couch? Is it Phantom?" Technus asked.

"Yes it is. He is asleep so keep your voice down if you can." Vlad said.

"We could probably move him into a spare room where he could sleep better. All you have to do is ask Skulker." Technus said.

"That's a good idea considering that you are drunk." Vlad said getting up to find Skulker.

"Hey Skulker come here." Vlad said to Skulker when he saw him.

"Oh okay." Skulker said walking over.

"Could I move Daniel into one of your spare rooms?" Vlad asked.

"Sure. I'll show you what room once you get him." Skulker said.

"Okay follow me so that I don't lose you." Vlad said.

"Sure." Skulker said following Vlad to where Danny was.

"Where did the dog come from?" Skulker asked.

"That is Cujo. He followed Daniel here. I can't even get with in a foot of him." Vlad said.

"Haha. You can't even move a tiny pup? I could easily move him." Skulker said walking over to the dog. Cujo looked up at Skulker and growled loudly, "Wow. Such a big growl for a little pup. Cujo get off the couch. Now." Skulker said. Cujo whimpered and jumped off the couch.

"How did you do that?" Vlad asked.

"He knows who is dominate over him." Skulker said.

"Okay." Vlad said picking up Danny, "Can you please show me the room so that he can sleep."

"Sure." Skulker said leading him to a room. It didn't have much in it. It had a bed and a closet. It also had a bathroom connected to it.

"Thank you Skulker." Vlad said.

Skulker followed Vlad in and closed the door behind him and said, "Now I know something is up. You would never thank me for doing this for the whelp. Tell me what is happening or I'll..."

"Or you'll do what?" Vlad asked calmly.

"I'll kill the whelp." Skulker said.

"No you won't. Because if you do you will be breaking the truce." Vlad said.

"There are other days that I could kill him." Skulker said.

"If you really want to know you will just have to wait until Daniel is awake. If you dare wake him up there is always tomorrow that I could come after you. I have warned you." Vlad said making sure Danny was comfortable.

"It seems you are treating as your mate. Protecting him and listing to him. You never did that before. Usually you two are at each other's throats." Skulker said, "Do you still have that core problem? Because if you do I found someone with a water core that might cool you off."

"No I am not having that problem any more. I have it taken care of." Vlad said.

Skulker looked over at sleeping Danny and saw him shivering, "Plasmius, the whelp is shaking. Do you know why?"

Vlad sighed and said, "Yes I do know why. His core is ice."

Danny started to wake up and asked, "Why is is it cold in here?"

"Because we are in the ghost zone whelp." Skulker said.

Danny sat up knowing who was in the room.

"Now you need to tell me why Plasmius is be this way towards you. It seems like he is your mate or something." Skulker said.

Danny looked over at Vlad and asked, "Do you really want me to tell him? Or you can since you are his employer."

"Are you trying to guilt trip me? Because if you are it's working." Vlad said as Danny smiled at him, "Fine I'll tell him Daniel. Skulker you have to you can't tell anyone. Because if you do I will end you truce or not. I can kill you. When I am in human form and technically not be breaking the truce. So keep that mouth of yours shut. You have to promise me."

"Okay. I promise I won't tell anyone. If I do I give you permission to do anything you want to me." Skulker said.

"Alright. You are correct about me and Daniel. We are mates now in the ghost zone." Vlad said.

"Yes! Walker and Ember owe me 50 dollars!" Skulker said happily.

"You were betting on us?" Danny said sounding angry.

"Ya. Practically the whole ghost zone was betting on you two since you are the only halfas." Skulker said.

"What else are you betting on?" Vlad asked.

"Well Me and Wolf kinda made a bet with Technus and Ghost Writer that who would have a kid first you two or the Lunch Lady and the Box Ghost." Skulker said, "Wolf and I bet you two would. I don't know why we did but we did."

"Really those ghosts and you don't have to worry about that bet anymore." Danny said.

"Why?" Skulker asked.

"Did you ever figure out that riddle I told you?" Danny asked.

"No I did not." Skulker said annoyed.

"Take out your device and scan me." Danny said.

"Okay." Skulker said as he did as he was told to his eyes widened, "You two really did it. I win another bet!"

"To win those bets we have to say something to the people who you have foolishly have made bets with. If you want us to say something you must do something for us." Vlad said.

"What do you want me to do?" Skulker asked.

"I don't know yet but you can go and get the ghosts you have made bets with so that you and Wolf can collect your winnings." Vlad said.

"I'll be right back." Skulker said running out the door.

It took him about ten minutes to find them all. When they all walked in Wolf sat by Danny on the floor. Vlad didn't like that very much but dealt with it. Walker stayed by the door but shut it. Ember stood by the closet. Technus was by the end of the bed. Ghost Writer went into a corner away from everyone. Danny was still on the bed crossed legged with his cape wrapped around him with his hood up. And Vlad stood by Skulker who was on the other side of the bed by the closet.

Ember spoke first, "What are we doing here and why is baby pop hiding in his cape? It looks like he did something wrong." Ember said giggling.

Danny's eyes flashed red under his hood but only Wolf noticed and he turned on his translator, "Shut up Ember. You are making my friend mad."

"Wow baby pop is getting mad at me? Then I should really stop then." Ember said.

"Remember the bets we made?" Skulker asked. Everyone nodded, "Well me and Wolf win both bets."

"WHAT!!!!" Ember, Walker, Technus, and Ghost Writer yelled.

"Will you guys shut up! Your giving me a headache." Danny said covering his ears.

"Sorry." Ember said then she turned to Vlad and asked, "Is it true?"

"That Daniel and I are mates?" Vlad asked.

"Yes that." Ember said.

"Yes that is true." Vlad said.

"You heard it from Vlad himself. Now you and Walker owe me 50 dollars." Skulker said to Ember.

"I want to hear it from Phantom." Walker said.

"Hear what?" Danny asked, "That me and Vlad are mates."

"Yes that will do for me. Here is your money Skulker." Walker said handing Skulker his money. Ember did the same thing.

"Well Skulker won that bet. But why am we here? We are in a total different bet." Technus said.

"You are here too because Skulker and Wolf win that bet too." Danny said still hiding under his hood.

Everyone's jaw dropped except Vlad, Skulker, and Wolf for some reason.

"Wolf why aren't you surprised?" Vlad asked.

"Because I could tell that he is and the way Cujo is acting around him. By the way Cujo is in the hallway waiting to be let in." Wolf said.

"Alright." Walker said opening the door and letting Cujo in. Cujo went straight for the bed and sat by Danny.

"I really don't like that dog." Vlad said.

"Why not? You think that little puppy will take your mate away from you?" Ember asked with a little sass in her voice.

"No. That dog won't let me near Daniel." Vlad said glaring at Cujo.

"He would let you if I say that you can." Danny said, "Cujo, let Vlad come by me. He won't hurt me at all. If he does I will tell you when you can attack and who you can attack. Does that sound fair buddy?"

Cujo wagged his tail in response and Danny said, "You can come by me now Vlad. He won't hurt you unless I say he can."

"Well that makes me feel a lot better." Vlad said sarcastically, "Oh and Technus and Ghost Writer pay them your bet money."

"Why are you being sarcastic?" Danny asked.

"Because if you get mad at me and he is around I won't be." Vlad said.

Danny and Wolf started laughing. After they were done Danny said, "I should tell Cujo to listen to you too. Ghost Writer and Technus pay your bet."

They both paid Wolf and Skulker.

After they left the only people left in the room was Danny, Vlad, Wolf, and Skulker.

Danny kept petting Cujo's head and Vlad asked, "Do you want to go home and rest?"

"Sure as long as your ready to leave." Danny said.

"Yes I am sure I want to go. Those other ghosts are probably talking about us so we better leave so we don't questioned by them." Vlad said.

Danny got off the bed, turned invisible and intangible and walked out the wall of Skulker's house. Vlad followed Danny back to his mansion.
When they got there they went straight to bed.
