"Look at daddy, Sky." I held her and pointed out Dorian about to do a backflip into the pool

Today is my baby's second birthday and I can't believe she's two already. Time seems like it flew by so quickly, but I'm loving every second of watching her grow.

Dorian and I decided to have a pool party at his house with a ball pit, and a moon bounce for small kids and big ones. He invited a few of his workers who had kids and I invited some girls from my shop that had kids. One thing we know how to do is have a good time, and since it's our baby's birthday we gone make sure she has a ball.

"Yayy!" She cheered as Dorian came back up from the water

"You saw that Sky?" He excitedly asked

She eagerly nodded, ready to jump in.

"Wait baby. Daddy gone help you." I told her

My baby can swim very well for her age, but I still believe in securing her at all times.

"Ok, one, two, three!" I counted and helped her dive into Dorian's arms

She laughed wildly and cheered once she came back up. "Again!"

He chuckled "Ok baby."

"You got her? I'm 'bout to go make a plate." I stood up

"Yeah. Bring me a burger."

"Boy." I fanned him off as I walked to the table

"I see y'all looking real family like." Rio walked over to me

"We are a family through Skylar." I chuckled and began making my plate

"Mhm...Where yo' lil friend?" He swished his cup around

"Tyler? I didn't invite him."

"And why not? I would've loved to see him in swimming trunks."

"Back off my man, ho." I snapped the cooking tongues at him

"Oop, heifer watch my titties." He covered his bare chest

"Stupid." I laughed "But I'm not ready for him to meet Skylar yet. He will when the time is right."

"I felt that. Don't want no creeps around my lil niece" he began pouring himself another drink "Drink with me."

"Pour me one, and don't be so heavy handed." I started making Dorian's burger

"I'll try." He chuckled

"What y'all alcoholics ova' hea' doing?" Dorian approached us with Skylar

"Yo' brother peer pressuring me." I joked

"Oh please. I asked once." Rio squinted

"Pour me a shot." Dorian grabbed a wing off my plate

"Unh Unh. You don't need to be drinking. One of us gotta be the sober parent."

"A lil shot ain't gone do nothin'." He said

"Mhm. Here go yo' plate." I rolled my eyes

"Y'all the cutest coparents." Rio said

"Shut up." Dorian and I said in unison

"Rude." He sneered

Chris Brown's song sensational blasted through the speakers as I danced with Skylar. My baby was getting sleepy but fighting it just because she was having too much fun.

"Girl yo' baby daddy and yo' boyfriend fine." Tiffany said

"Oh my goodness." I shook my head, chuckling

"Let me dance with the birthday girl." Joyce came over to me, reaching for Skylar

I smiled while handing her off "She gettin' tired. I'm 'bouta go get her cake." I said

I approached Dorian and Tim who were smoking on the side of the house. "Get everybody gathered up, we finna' sing happy birthday." I said to Dorian

"A'ight." He passed the blunt to Tim

I made my way into the house and through the kitchen. I began unboxing the cake, then I started searching for the candles. My phone started ringing and I saw Tyler was FaceTiming me.

"Hey baby." I smiled in the camera

"Hey sexy. What you doing?" He asked

"Currently lookin' for birthday candles." I sat the phone up on the counter

"Whose birthday?"

"Skylar's."

"And you wearing that?" He gestured to my bathing suit

"It's a pool party Ty." I said

"Oh...They didn't have anything less...revealing?"

"Really?" I chuckled "It's a bathing suit for a reason."

"Just forget I said anything." He fanned me off

I nodded and went back to looking for the candles. His behavior is weird.

"Tell her happy birthday for me." He said "You know, maybe you can introduce us one day."

"Yeah. One day, I don't really like strangers around my kid."

"I'm a stranger to you?" He asked

Before I could answer, Dorian came in the kitchen.

"Yo' lil drunk ass can't find the candles can you?" He walked into the view of the camera

"No." I chuckled

"You been drinking?" Tyler got closer to the screen

"Just a lil' bit." I went and picked up the phone

"Mm." Was all he said

"Wassup lame ass nigga" Dorian said a loud while grabbing the candles from the top of the fridge

"Stop" I whispered to him

Tyler scoffed "I'ma call you later."

"Ok baby. Love you."

"Yeah. Love you too." He hung up, sounding irritated

"Why'd you do that?" I nudged Dorian

"What? I was being nice." He held an innocent expression

"By calling him a lame ass nigga?"

"Ain't my fault he lame." He shrugged, putting the candles in the cake

I rolled my eyes and waited for him to light the candles. We walked back outside singing happy birthday as everyone else joined in.

Even though Skylar didn't understand the whole birthday thing, her face lit up when she saw the cake.

Once we were done singing, we helped her blow the candles out and everyone clapped.

"Say cheese family." The hired photographer said

Dorian tickled Skylar to get her to laugh as we smiled for the camera

Omari came and whispered something to Dorian, which caught my attention.

"How'd she even get through the front gate and security?" He asked

"Who?" I asked

"Uhm..." he didn't know what to say

But from his facial expression, I knew exactly who they were talking about.

"Oh hell no." I handed Skylar to him and stormed around to the front

"Where's the birthday girl?" My mom smiled with a gift in her hand

I sent a hard punch straight to her nose. As her head flew back, the present fell to the ground.

"You got some fuckin' nerve showin' up hea'."

She held her bloody nose. "I just wanted to say happy birthday"

"Get her ass outta' here." I said to the security "Now!" They weren't moving fast enough for me

One guy hurriedly grabbed my mother's arm while the other grabbed the gift and they escorted her out.

"Ugh!" I went in the house to clean the blood from my mother's nose off my knuckles

I had to calm myself down before going back around Skylar again. I didn't want her to see me irritated like this.
How dare that bitch show up here on my baby's birthday?

"Ry?" Dorian knocked on the bathroom door "Can I come in?"

I sighed "Yeah"

"You ok?" He asked while coming in and closing the door.

"Yeah." My breathing was still uneven "I hate her bro'. It's like she was out on earth to ruin my life."

"Let me see yo' hand." He took my hand in his, checking to see if it was bruised or broken "You know I could always get rid of her, and yo  pops whenever he get out."

"I'd love that, but..." I deeply exhaled "I swore to aunt Kelly I'd never stoop to their wicked ass level."

"I feel you, and no disrespect but yo' aunt Kelly ain't here no more. What she don't know won't hurt her." He shrugged

I lightly gasped as a small smile spread on my face "Dorian."

"Nah seriously. Just say da' word and you know I gotchu."

"Yeah, I know." I looked up at him then my eyes diverted to his lips

Ugh! Why is it every time we're alone I get the urge to jump his bones?

A knock on the bathroom door interrupted us "Y'all in there trying for baby #2?" Rio spoke from the outside

"Shut up Rio." Dorian and I said in unison again
