Epilogue

3 years later. . .

"Thank you for everyone who came tonight! Have a lovely evening and goodnight!" The host exclaimed and as soon as he said that, the cameras stopped rolling and went off air.

Bright colorful confetti and streamers were scattered around the red carpeted floor. Taylor grasped all six billboard award trophies that she won for tonight. Grace was overwhelmed and ecstatic by her side while Charlie just left not too long ago since he had an important flight to catch.

A lot of of things have happened recently in Taylor's past three years. And one of those is, Niall moving away. At Christmas Eve, Niall told Taylor that he's moving back to Ireland with his parents. And that was also the night where Niall told her what he was truly feeling for her. And at that same night, they shared a kiss under the mistletoe. It all seems magical and came out from a fairytale, but unfortunately the next day he left and Taylor could still feel the touch of his warm hand on hers. Taylor wouldn't deny it, her story with Niall was left unfinished and it seems like she was still waiting for them to finish it together. But she hasn't seen Niall in months, and she's certain that he already has someone who will truly take care of him.

But nevertheless, Taylor couldn't be happier. She just released her debut album named '1989' last fall and it was doing well in the charts. She had a ton of interviews as well as performances this past month, and her tour is going to start later this month. She made friends in the music industry as well, and pictures of her can be seen in posters, banners, billboards and even in news outlets. She was the hottest and the talk of the town, and she was recently labeled as the 'new pop princess of the decade'. It seems like everything for Taylor is falling right into place and her life seems perfect.

But there was something missing.

Taylor wouldn't deny it, she knows something in her life is missing. Like a missing piece in a puzzle. Sure she has the money, fame and probably the will to do anything she wants to do. But of course, even all the riches and fame comes to her, that's not exactly what Taylor is looking for. And she knows what's missing, she definitely knows.

It's love.

Call her crazy or out of her mind, but it was true. Taylor knows it's true. Her twenty-two year old self might've laughed at her now since, before she thought she could live peacefully without someone loving or caring for her. But she was definitely wrong. Sure she had some flings and hook ups throughout the years, but none of them even lasted for two months.

Looking back, Taylor remembered the memories and the choices she made. And there was one decision where it stood out the most since it was a desicion where she somewhat regretted. Honestly, Taylor isn't really sure if she even regretted it. But she's still thinking about all the possibilities that she could've had when she didn't let him go.

Maybe she could've been the happiest woman on earth with Harry by her side and she could've been texting or calling him right now to ask him if he's alright and vice versa. Or maybe, if she accepted him and took him back maybe she could have her heart shattered all over again just like three years ago. Maybe she could've been crying and wasting her tears over the same man who broke her heart.

Needless to say, Taylor was torn in between the two. She thought what could be happening right now to her if she restarted her relationship with Harry. But one thing for sure is, she feels incomplete.

Speaking of Harry, he's been doing well in the music industry. He released his self titled debut album a few months ago, and he was even nominated for four or five categories and he won two of them. And he's actually in the event right now and he's somwhere inside the arena, although Taylor hasn't seen Harry nor saw a glimpse of him throughout the whole night. They still work in the same label company, although they don't meet each other that often as they expected. Taylor would often come in the studio every weekdays and he would come at the weekends or sometimes, he would come in the weekdays but it would be late in the afternoon which is the time that Taylor would leave.

Based on the tabloids and a few news channels that Taylor reads and watches, Harry had a few rumors here and there and also had a few bar fights that was unfortunately broadcast in the public. But nevertheless, he's still loved by the public. Mostly, teenage girls. Whenever Harry would walk down the street nonchalantly, girls would fangirl and ask him to marry them. And Taylor could honestly laugh at the thought. But recently, he has a new rumor that's been going around for the past week. It's rumored that he's dating an American-French model named Camille Rowe.

And much to Taylor's disapproval, she's happy that Harry has already founded a girl who he's truly happy with. But then again, it's still a rumor.

"Taylor, lets get going, shall we? You still have an interview tomorrow." Grace reminded, and how could Taylor even forget about the interview tomorrow? Taylor nodded while Grace stood up from her seat and Taylor followed, with all the awards in her hands.

Grace led the way and went to the back stage where some crewmen and a few guards surrounding the place.

"Tay, wait here for a while, would you? I'll just find Chris, I told him to be here five minutes before the show ends! I bet he's at the refreshment table again. I'll be right back." Grace said hastily and before Taylor could even ask her to help her carry with her awards, she already left to find Chris, her personal driver.

Taylor sighed as she just stood there, with all six awards in her arms that could slip at any moment. While she just stood there, waiting for Grace to come back, one crewman accidentally bumped into her while walking hurriedly and Taylor lost her balance making the awards fall to the ground. Taylor glanced at the crewman who bumped into her, he didn't even mutter a simple apology and he just kept walking away with a phone in his hand and a few papers in his other hand.

Taylor swore under her breath and bent down to pick up her gold awards that fell because of that clumsy crewman. She picked up the awards, when she was about to pick up the last award on the ground someone already picked it up and got it for her. Taylor stood up with the five awards cradled in her arms and she quickly dusted the bottom of her white jumpsuit that was made just for her. She was about to look at the person who helped her and thank him for picking it up, she was about to glance when she suddenly recognized his voice.

"Taylor?" He asked and Taylor looked up at him. It was definitely him alright. Harry wore an all black suit and his hair was neatly kept and if Taylor was not mistaken, his hair was just trimmed not too long ago. He didn't held any awards in his hand like Taylor did, not a single one. Maybe his assistant got it from him.

"Harry." She replied as she pursed her lips together, she definitely wasn't ready nor expecting this. Heck, she wasn't even sure if she was going to see Harry tonight, but here are they now. Standing right in front of each other.

"Hey.. um— you dropped this." He handed the award the Taylor while Taylor took it from his grasp.

"Thank you." Taylor mumbled as she looked behind him if Grace would be coming sooner and they could already leave, she was just simply trying to avoid his gaze.

"Congrats on winning six awards, and you look stunning tonight." He said, making Taylor look at him. Blue eyes to green ones.

"Congrats to you too, and likewise." Taylor replied giving him a short smile, making the conversation short.

"So, I heard that you were seeing a friend of mine. Is it true? Are you really seeing Ed?" Harry asked as he clasped his hands together and fiddled with his thumbs, nervous for her answer. Meanwhile, Taylor almost replied a 'he's your friend, right? Why don't you go and ask him?' But of course, that would be rude and Harry did nothing to deserve that kind of reply, not to mention he even helped her.

"And where did you heard that exactly?" Taylor asked him.

"I sort of— um— read it in a tabloid. So is it true?" Harry asked again, and Taylor swore that she could hear the hint of desperation in his voice.

"Well, no. I barely know Ed, we just met at a party a week ago. And how about you? How's your love life going so far?" Taylor asked him, and she honestly didn't meant to slip the last question out. It just came and slipped out from her mouth smoothly. Despite Taylor slightly being embarrassed by her last question, Harry gave a slight shrug and gave a light-hearted chuckle.

"A bit plain if I do say so myself. Nothing is really going on at the moment, it's honestly quite boring to say the least." He said truthfully. And Harry knows that deep down inside him, his love life was already dull and over three years ago. When he exited her apartment building, and when he walked down the street with his hands inside the pocket of his jeans and with the slight drizzle adding to the scene, he already knew that right then and there that his life was completely over. That he wouldn't be the same without her, and three years later he stood by that quote and he's still living his life with a missing piece as well.

Taylor nodded in reply, maybe the rumor about him and Camille dating isn't really true after all. She glanced behind Harry's shoulder again to check and see if there's any sign of Grace and Chris. What is even taking them so long?!

"Are you looking for someone?" Harry asked as he noticed that Taylor kept looking over his shoulder. Taylor snapped out of her gaze and looked back at Harry.

"Well, I'm sort of looking for my driver. He's not here yet."

"I can give you a drive home if you'd like." Harry offered and Taylor knew and her insides was telling her that it was a bad idea.

But what could even possibly go wrong with a simple drive home? Taylor supposed that it wouldn't hurt if Harry would give her a drive home, and he even offered. And she'll just give Grace a quick text and tell her that a friend of hers will drop her off.

"Well, since you offered I supposed it wouldn't be a bad idea." Taylor said which made a smile appear at Harry's face showing of his dimples.

"Lets get going then, I haven't been into your apartment in three years." Harry told her and Taylor agreed.

The started walking together, side by side while walking towards the exit with Taylor's head hung low and Harry suddenly becoming anxious. Then a question suddenly popped in his head, and he didn't expected that it would also slip into his mouth.

"Have you ever wondered what could've happened if things ended up differently?" He blurted out making Taylor's head and attention dart up to his direction. Taylor sighed, thinking about Harry's sudden question. And Taylor already had a direct and straight answer.

"Honestly, yes. I have. I sometimes think about the things and events that could've happened to me, to the both of us. Will I be happy if I was with you or would will I be shattered all over again. But I'll never really know, I didn't chose that path Harry, and I guess it was for a reason." Taylor told Harry, and Harry pursed his lips.

"What about you, have you wondered and thought about it?" It was Taylor's turn to ask.

"Yeah, and I never let a day pass without thinking about the possibilities." Harry sighed while looking straight ahead. Taylor kept repeating what he just said, he never stopped thinking about it. After all these years.

And in that moment, right then and there, there were two people who has a missing piece to their puzzle. A missing piece, and what they didn't know is that the missing piece that they've been looking for all along is just right there beside them.

While Taylor was still thinking in deep thought, with all the awards she has in hand, she could feel something holding on to her hand, or maybe it was someone. Taylor glanced down at her hand to see Harry taking two of her awards from her hand, helping her out which Taylor silently thanked for. And it was not until Harry held her free hand with his. Taylor looked at Harry to see the smile on his face which made her do the same too. It was a feeling that they missed and wanted. And maybe, they could finally get it to last, not just for some time but maybe forever.

"Lets start over again, shall we?" Harry asked and Taylor nodded and smiled at him.

They were finally going to know that what if things ended up differently, and they were finally going to make things right.

And now, it seems like they've already found their missing piece.
