"What are you doing up so late?", Jungkook asked kindly after entering the living room. It was darkened, Taejeon had only turned on a small light next to the couch, reading through a book without actually reading the sentences. He just tried to keep himself awake even though he had huge bags beneath his eyes and looked as if he hadn't slept in days.
"It's 2am", Kook added, sitting down besides his son as he put his arm around him softly. "You should go to sleep."

"Why are you awake though?", Taejeon questioned softly, looking at his father with his big doey eyes.
"I was going to get some yoghurt for Tae and me-", Jungkook hummed, avoiding his son's confused gaze.

"You want to eat yoghurt at 2am?"
"Well-"

"EW DAD", Taejeon cried out, shoving his father away from him. "Ew you're disgusting I know for a fact that you don't eat after 6pm to stay skinny since you and Mom do this diet shit-"
Jungkook didn't reply and tried to keep his face innocently.
"You shouldn't let your horny husband wait tho", Taejeon scrunched his nose, fully disgusted by his own parents. "Well I wouldn't but if my son looks like a ghost when I enter the room at 2am-"

"I'm just waiting for Lili to call me", Taejeon grumbled, "She's out with her friends at his party and I told her I'll pick her up."
"Why aren't you there with her?"
"Someone has to take care of Maya?", Taejeon grumbled, "But she sleeps all the time so it's not even fun", he rolled his eyes and chuckled softly.

"Tae and I could have taken care of her too, we're home anyways, we're too old to go partying", Kook explained, "Next time just leave her with us."
"You're not too old, you just rather have sex all the time."
"Taejeon."
"Dad."
"We need to enjoy the time we've got. We barely had sex when you were younger."

"Yes because you weren't together", Taejeon sighed.

"No it's because if you have a kid you take care of the kid."

"Dad.. Do you even remember that Jimin took me to the party where you and Tae made out for the first time? And I sat there with Felix? Like, for real you walked past me and didn't even care-", Taejeon chuckled, "So don't act as if I ruined your sex life, that was you and your cheating ass."

"You are mean."
"Yeah, I'm pissed off, deal with it-", Taejeon snapped.

"Why tho?"
"Because I miss my girlfriend and she's not answering my calls all night", the boy admitted, sighing heavily. "And I'm just scared she'll find someone better out there."
"I'm sure she wouldn't", Jungkook said softly, "You and Lili, you're truly in love with each other."

"There's always better out there."
"Should we go there and pick her up?", Jungkook offered softly, "It doesn't make sense to sit at home and be scared, just go and see for yourself."

"What's with Maya-, she might wake up", Taejeon grumbled.
"Tae will take care of her."
"He will probably drop her or something", the boy hummed, "But fine, yeah let's go I feel like something isn't right, usually she always texts me all the time when I'm not with her."

Kook nodded and then got up, quickly telling Taehyung to take care of the baby. The older agreed softly after Jungkook promised he'll be back with yoghurt.

"Am I too clingy?", Taejeon asked when they walked out, heading to the car.
"No, you're just worried."
"But like, shouldn't I leave her alone when she's with friends?"

"I wouldn't even let Taehyung go to a party without me even though I trust him", Jungkook shrugged, "It's just that I know I would miss him after 30 minutes and I don't want to do that to myself so either he takes me with him or he stays home and cuddles me."

"You act as if you were still 16", Taejeon laughed while they were driving along the road.

"And you act as if you're 40", Jungkook snapped back.

"It's because I had to be the mature one in this household since I was born", the boy explained, side-glancing his father. "Plus I really don't want to be like you and get yoghurt at 2am to put it on my dick and let Lili lick it off."

"To be fair-", Jungkook corrected, "I put it on my ass."

"DAD WHAT THE HELL I'M 16 AND I'M YOUR SON!!!!"
"You started it", Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"Ew what the hell", Taejeon looked at him disgusted, "Imagine me telling you what I do with my girlfriend!"

"Well if you would have done that in time, you might have not gotten her pregnant with 16", Jungkook chuckled.
"I'm glad I did though", Taejeon hissed back, "So I can show you how to raise a kid without drama and shit."

"It's about time that you're getting out of puberty", Jungkook rolled his eyes and then stopped at the house of the friend of Lili's who was throwing the party.
"Go in and get your girl."

Taejeon scoffed but then got out of the car and headed inside, looking around anxiously. He felt a little weird for coming here, looking after his girlfriend like some overprotective boyfriend.
"Yo Taejeon!!", a girl's voice made him snap out of his stare as he turned around and faced Lili's best friend Emily. "Finally-"
"What?-", Taejeon asked confused.
"Come", she grabbed him by his wrist and pulled him upstairs. "She doesn't stop crying and throwing up", Emily pushed him into the bathroom.

"Did she drink too much?", Taejeon asked worriedly, inhaling deeply when he saw Lili sitting on the floor with her head above the toilet, another girl holding her hair so she wouldn't throw up on it.
"That's the thing. She didn't drink at all." Emily stared at the girl. "And she has a black eye", she added and then helped the other girl to turn Lili around so she would face her boyfriend. "Plus she lost her phone somewhere? But she isn't drunk, like not at all."

"Baby?", Taejeon asked confused and sat down next to her, grabbing her away from the girls so he could hold her himself. "Are you okay?"
"I wanna go home", Lili let out weakly. "What took you so long", she asked with tears sparkling in her eyes.

"What-, I-? How am I supposed to know you want me to come here?"
"I didn't text you in three hours", Lili let out quietly, "You should've known sooner that something's wrong."

"What's wrong, what happened??"
"Not here", she said in a small voice and then washed her mouth quickly before getting up from the floor, holding onto Taejeon's waist.

"Did someone hurt you?"
"Taejeon, not here", she said sharply and just pressed her face into his chest while they were walking out, leaving her friends in there in confusion.
Taejeon let out a sigh, "If someone hurt you I will kill them."
"God, for fuck's sake if I tell you to shut up, then shut up", Lili pulled back and walked on her own, face down so she wouldn't have to face anyone.

Taejeon let out a sigh and headed towards the car where his father was still waiting.
She quickly hopped into the car and took Jungkook's big jacket to put it around her tiny body. "How's Maya?"
"She's asleep."
"Is Tae with her?"
"Yes", Taejeon hummed. "Now tell me what the fuck happened. Why is there a bruise all over your eye? Why did you throw up if you're not drunk? Why are you telling me to shut up?"

"Some dude took my phone away, called me a slut and tried to make a move on me but I pushed him off so he got mad and punched me", Lili said bluntly, "And I felt like throwing up afterwards so I threw up."

"Why didn't you just came home?"
"I didn't want to leave the bathroom as long as he was out there."

"Did he do anything else to you", Jungkook suddenly interrupted, turning his head towards the girl in the back.
Lili didn't reply. "I want to go home", she said after a long while, staring out of the window.

"Did he do anything else to you", Jungkook repeated, voice going deeper when he got angry over this boy who did something to their Lili.
"No what the fuck, I'm just hurt by what he said and I don't want to talk about it with any of you. I just want to go home."

"Okay", Taejeon said and grabbed his father by his wrist so he would stop putting pressure onto her.
"Just so you know, you're beautiful and you're not a slut", Taejeon added, looking at his girlfriend softly, "You're amazing and whatever he said is just because he couldn't have you. Boys like him don't get girls like you."

She couldn't hide a small smile on her lips, "Nah girls like me only get weirdos like you", she hummed, taking his hand softly.
"I'm not that weird if you think about how you call me Daddy in bed", Taejeon hummed.

"EW GROSS", Jungkook let out.
"Shut up yoghurt-man."

"I don't even want to know", Lili hummed, looking out of the window. "And just so you know, the next time I don't answer you in like 30 minutes, come and look for me."
"How am I supposed to know that-, you could've just hooked up with someone else and forgot texting me", Taejeon grumbled. "Do you want me to be overly protective?"

"Yeah? I would never cheat on you so I don't mind you being protective? Like, I would have been happy if you would've been there with me or if you would've picked me up so we could've watched netflix all night."

"I love you", Taejeon sighed.
"I love you", Jungkook hummed.
"What", Lili and Taejeon said out of one mouth.

"Did I just say that out loud?"
"Yeah, yoghurt-man you did", Taejeon groaned. "Hands off my girl."

"I just love her for being exactly what my son needs", Jungkook hummed. "I'm gay I wouldn't hit on your girlfriend-, she's half my age."

"So what", Taejeon smirked, "We all know that you have a thing for acting straight when you're not."
"Dude that was 15 years ago, let me live", Jungkook sighed. "I'm gay."

"Are you-", Taehyung suddenly said because he stood in front of the front door, waiting for Jungkook to come back. They arrived there and got out of the car, still arguing.
Jungkook nodded when he saw his puppy eyed husband who was literally holding stupid roses in his hands.

"Where did you get roses from now", Jungkook sighed.
"From the gas station. Maya woke up so I took her out so we can get pizza."

"She's one year old, Tae. She can't eat pizza."
"I bought yoghurt for her."

"EW", Taejeon screamed out.
"I literally bought some with chocolate flavor-"

"Tae, sweetie. Taejeon knows what we were going to do with yoghurt and now you just told him you gave yoghurt to his daughter it just sounds wrong, honey."

"I literally just gave it to her because she was hungry", Taehyung whined, "I'm not- ew--"
"Why am I part of this family", Lili groaned and walked past them.
"Dang, what is she so pissed for", Taehyung hummed, looking after the girl.
"She's on her period", Taejeon sighed, "I miss when she was pregnant", he then followed his girlfriend in and snatched the roses away, got some chocolate and a movie and then rushed after her to treat her well.

"God", Jungkook let out, "I missed you."
"It's been half an hour", Taehyung grinned, putting his hands on the younger's waist while pulling him close, "I missed you too though."

"I really am hungry now", Taehyung then hummed.
"I thought you just had pizza?"
"I meant hungry for something else-"

"Babe-"
"Oh come on", Taehyung begged, intertwining their hands while he shoved his boyfriend up to their bedroom. "Let me sex you."

"You and grammar won't ever be friends, huh?"

"Shut up", Taehyung snapped and then picked him up, holding him by his ass and carried him upstairs in bridal style. "I'm so in love with you." The older said that fully out of context while laying him down on their bed.

"That sounds pretty gay", Jungkook hummed.
"It's not that gay if you think about it."
"It kinda is", the younger sighed.

And that was it, that was their last useful conversation this night before melting into kisses.
That was it, the one night where everything felt right even though nothing was perfect.

Another child by teen parents in this house, a girl that got bullied for being a mother and Taehyung and Jungkook still unable to keep their hands off each other.

But if you think about it, there's never a time where everything's fully right or not.
There's never a point in time where you can say, yes, goddamnit everything's perfect.

It doesn't matter though, because perfection is a concept created by society, it's not real.
And this small family in their small house in Chicago, they knew that by now. Because after all, their life was still messy, imperfect and full of hardships.

But that's what life is all about.
And every single one of them fell in love with someone who was nothing but a mess at a time. Just like their lives.

What a beautiful mess though, if you think about it.
