<3 you think your funny

Ronnie was nervous, something she isn't often. The girls had been in Forks only a week and instead of relaxing and trying to get the house together, Becca had other plans.

All their lives the girls would prank each other, it was always little things like stealing their towels or dyeing each others hair while sleeping -small things.

But this time Becca took it too far, she had been joking about them getting 'big girl jobs' since they set out to Forks but Ronnie didn't realize she was actually going to submit applications.

So here she was getting ready for her first day as a high school history teacher -her least favorite subject- all because the school was to desperate to really look into her credentials and find out they were fake.

Ronnie contemplated telling the school they weren't real but that would tarnish their reputation and they can't do that already. So as she was finishing her final touches she was also giving her self a pep talk in the mirror.

"They're just high schoolers what's the worst that could happen."

"They could laugh at you because you know nothing about history," Becca chimed in at the door, she had a shit-eating grin that made Ronnie's blood boil.

"This isn't funny, these kids need to actually learn something," Ronnie stated getting her heels on. Ronnie was dressed professional, well as professional as her closet allowed.

She wore a white button up shirt tucked into a black pencil skirt, her hair was in a loose bun tied together with an old metal chopstick that definitely belonged to Sam.

All in all she pulled herself together nicely, now that she looked the part let's just hope she can act the part.

"These kids probably won't listen to a word you say anyway, all the boys will be too focused on your body and the girls will be to envious to notice," Becca replied fixing her lipgloss in the mirror.

The girls had finally went furniture shopping, they didn't get much just the basic necessities, but it was better than nothing.

"That's gross first of all," Ronnie rolled her eyes. "And secondly, just because you didn't pay attention in school doesn't mean all the kids don't."

Becca rolled her eyes, her sister was right of course but that didn't mean she would say that.

"Whatever just hurry up you'll be late, and I'm not going to wait forever, I want to come back and sleep."

Ronnie's eyes followed her sister as she left the room sticking her tongue out immaturely at her turnt back.

"I saw that!" Becca yelled not turning around.

Ronnie huffed in frustration, she was so getting her back.

Pulling into the school Becca was already starting to feel bad for her sister, the town itself was dreary and dull but add a prison for kids and you've got the definition of depression.

Ronnie on the other hand was ready to strangle the girl in the drivers seat who could only offer her an apologetic shrug.

The student body was already looking at the jeep trying to get a look at the new people, Ronnie could feel their eyes piercing the back of her head making her want to shrivel up and hide.

She never shied away from attention when it came to monsters but teenagers, that's where she draws the line.

Not only was she young for a teacher but her lack of knowledge was sure to make her standout even more, this was a cruel prank and she can't wait to get her sister back for it.

Finally getting the courage she exited the car, the students stared hard at the woman. She was gorgeous both of the Daniel's girls were, and everyone knew it, hell even they knew it. That doesn't mean they liked it, but they knew how to mask their uncomfortableness with confidence making them seem even more untouchable.

Ronnie took a deep breath and strutted towards the building not giving any of the students the time of day, ignoring all the cat calls and the whispers from the gossiping teenage girls.

Across the parking lot stood the Cullens, all of them watched as the new teacher made her way through the students seemingly unfazed by the attention.

"She's hot," Rosalie stated. Emmett nodded along earning a glare from his wife making cower away.

"She's one of them," Alice whispered. The faraway look in her eye indicated she was looking back on the vision, something that hasn't left her mind in days.

"The new history teacher is a hunter?" Edward asked. He had been trying to enter her thoughts but that task seemed impossible with all the teens surrounding them.

"I'm sure she's not a real teacher," Alice said focusing back in. "Most hunters need aliases to keep undercover while trying to complete a mission."

Once she was inside the group of vampires turned to one another as they finished their conversation.

"Why would they be here though?" Emmett started. "We haven't done any suspicious activities lately."

"Maybe they're here for the hikers that have been going missing," Edward suggested.

"Or, there's some other weird thing happening that even we don't know about," Rose said rolling her eyes.

"Look whatever it is we need to be cautious, I've seen them fight and we don't want to end up like that creature," Alice stated sternly, it wasn't often Alice was serious but when she was everyone knew to listen.

When Ronnie made it to her classroom she only had half an hour to prepare for her first class. She had been up all night researching topics to talk about and lesson planning only to come up empty handed.

Usually she loved researching, finding new creatures and different ways to kill things was her specialty, but searching for events in history that would be suitable for a high school class was torture.

Sitting at her new desk Ronnie looked out at the empty classroom, she couldn't believe she was actually doing this. She's had many aliases, she's been anything from a doctor to a nun but for some reason teaching a bunch of teenagers seemed to be the most stressful.

Ronnie and Becca were still in school when their mother died, Ronnie was barely out of her freshman year when it happened.

Because of the incident they never got to finish their education too busy running from the foster care and learning how to hunt. So to say Ronnie was a nervous wreck would be an understatement.

The bell rang out bringing Ronnie back from her daydream, as the students began to pour in Ronnie stood at the front leaning on the desk observing them.

It was almost predictable how the students were spread out, the loners and quiet kids in the back, the jocks and class clowns in the middle, and the know it alls upfront, just like when she was in school.

Once everyone took their seats and the final bell rang out indicating the start of class Ronnie let her eyes sweep the room, everyone tried to make eye contact with her, weather it was because they were interested in her or wanted to size her up she wasn't sure.

There was one person that refused to make eye contact though, he had blonde hair and looked slightly older than the rest of the juniors, instead of looking up he opted to stare pointedly at the desk in front of him.

Jasper didn't like being around the humans, the smell drove him insane especially in the one class where he didn't have any of his siblings. Most of the time he just stared down at his desk not really interacting and the past teacher just let him not caring enough to talk about it.

Ronnie chose not to dwell on the pained look he had deciding to deal with that later. Instead she walked over to the chalk board and began writing her name.

"My name is Ronnie Daniel's, you can call me Miss. Daniel's or if I like you enough Ronnie, but I doubt that'll happen."

The class watched intensely as she turned around to face them. She was intimidating, her gorgeous face and piercing eyes made most of them squirm when they landed on them.

"Now I know a new teacher coming in the middle of the year is a lot, but don't worry we'll have fun," she stated as she leaned against the desk again.

"I don't believe in homework mainly cause I don't feel like grading it," that statement made the class let out a sigh of relief, which was good maybe they'll go easy on her.

"This class will be easy, it'll be filled with lots of debates and plenty of fun little activities because people tend to remember things when they're having fun. Now we'll all get along if we're open with each other, honesty is the best way to get along."

Ronnie got up from her leaning position and walked behind her desk and took her seat, she really wasn't feeling like teaching today, mainly because she didn't have anything to teach, but also because she was fucking tired.

"So let's all have a little bit of honesty with each other, everyone one by one is going to state their name, favorite color, and a fun fact about themselves."

The class sat up in anticipation, the whole idea seemed a little kindergarten but they were happy to be doing something not so serious like they do with other teachers.

"Alright, I'll start," Ronnie said with a smile, the first one she's given since they sat down. "My name is Ronnie Daniel's, my favorite color is green, and a fun fact about me is I took martial arts when I was your age."

What she said wasn't a complete lie, when she was their age she was doing some type of martial arts, it was to protect herself from demons, but she was still doing it.

The class continued on just like she did, their were a few funny ones like Tyler, who's fun fact was how he always sneaks into R-rated movies, whilst others made her realize the kids she was not going to like, for instance Jessica.

"My name is Jessica Stanley, my favorite color is purple, and I'm voting for prom queen."

Ronnie gave props to the girl, it was a good way to advertise her campaign, but she could already tell the girl was going to get on her nerves.

The rest of the class said their little scrips except one person, the blonde haired boy who still has not looked up from his desk. Ronnie knows what it's like to not want to be called on but she was honestly curious about what he would say.

"What about you," Ronnie pointedly raised her eyebrow looking right at him. Jasper didn't look up still but she knows he heard her, the way his shoulders tensed even more than they already were made that clear.

"Yeah right," Jessica scoffed quickly making Ronnie resist the urge to roll her eyes knowing it wasn't appropriate.

"I'm sorry Jessica, what was that?" Ronnie sternly asked making the young girls eyes widen.

Jessica stuttered trying to find a response that wouldn't get her in trouble but with Ronnie's eyes practically looking into her soul she couldn't conjure up anything.

Ronnie shook her head, "hasn't your mother ever told you, 'if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all'?"

"I'm sorry Miss, it's just," Jessica sighed looking away shamefully. "He doesn't talk to anyone, never has, probably never will."

Jasper let out a strangled breath, he was  uncomfortable and frustrated. He just wished no one would notice him or talk to him, he was to afraid that one wrong move would end up in him massacring the whole class, and Carlisle and John would not be happy about that.

Ronnie looked at Jasper with furrowed eyebrows, she understood not wanting to be seen but never talking to anyone ever was a little strange.

The bell rang indicating the end of class, Jasper was the first to leave his seat, his bags were already packed and his shoes seemed to be on fire the way he ran from the room.

Ronnie stared after him until he was out of site, she wanted to talk to the boy but figured she can wait another day.

The rest of the students followed after him, most of them giving her a fist bump on the way out saying she was 'totally rad for a teacher' she just laughed it off hoping all her classes would feel that way.

Back at home Becca was enjoying herself, she figured with professor Daniel's at work she could spend this time jamming out and cleaning the house some more.

The house was coming together slowly but surely, they had a new couch and some beds, a couple tables here and there, but it didn't feel like a home.

So after Becca slept all morning she decided to do a little shopping, normally both the girls hated shopping but since she had a little time to kill before picking Ronnie up, she might as well.

The first stop on her list was back to the furniture store, she bought -well Jenna Humphrey bought- a couple lamps, and a rug for the living room, just a few little finishing touches so it wasn't so bare.

After paying for all of her items she ran into a big problem. She loved her jeep Larry, he has gotten them through some real tough times, but he doesn't have a lot of space.

Now Becca knew she'd have to make a couple trips to get everything home, which she was not excited for. So she did what any normal person would, she started stuffing as much as she could into the back.

The sound of tires pulling onto the gravel brought her attention to a police truck that was coming into the parking lot.

With the girl not paying attention to what she was doing she didn't see the way she missed the jeep causing the very large rug in her hands to hit a couple of lamps causing a domino effect and making all the items fall out onto the ground.

Becca just stared at all her hard work wasted, she dropped the rug with an annoyed grunt/yell and let her hands rack through her hair lightly tugging on it.

John who had just exited his vehicle witnessed the whole scene play out, he tried not to laugh at the frustrated girl but he couldn't help the chuckle that escaped.

Becca hearing the noise turned her head to look at the man, it was the same deputy that caught Ronnie's eye when they passed the police station.

Up close she could see his features more, she was wrong he wasn't just cute he was beautiful, almost unnatural so. His face looked almost hand sculpted and the way his eyes reflected gold would make anyone swoon.

But the most important thing Becca looked at was his left hand which was bare of a wedding band meaning she had a prime opportunity of getting her sister a boyfriend.

"I'm sorry," John smile apologetic, his southern accent made her smirk, he was perfect for Ronnie. "I don't mean laugh, you just look so defeated."

Becca huffed out a laugh knowing he was right, she probably has never looked more defeated in her life which is sad given the circumstances.

"Yeah, I probably do look a little pathetic."

"Now I wouldn't say pathetic," John said trying to sound genuine.

"No, no, it's ok you don't need to spare my feelings," Becca said slightly kicking the rug mentally picturing and drawing board. "Furniture one Becca zero."

"Well Becca, would you like some help taking some stuff home, I do have a pickup truck," John asked making her look at him surprised.

"Oh," she stuttered. "No, I don't want to waste any of your time or gas, and I promise it's really not that bad, I just like being dramatic."

John shook his head in disagreement, "no please I insist, you're obviously new-," Becca slightly pulled a face at that statement making him laugh.

"Not in a bad way, just you probably wouldn't be getting all this stuff if you already lived here, and I promise your not wasting my time, I was just going to buy a new lamp for my office at home but that can wait."

Becca thought about it for a second but her stubbornness came right back, "I don't think so I live a good twenty minutes away and I don't want to waste any of your gas, that's expensive now a days."

"It's a company truck which means it's company gas, I'll survive," John said moving towards the fallen items.

"Oh, and I'm John by the way, John Hale," He introduced whilst picking up the rug that Becca had previously been struggling with. He made it look like it weighed nothing, making the girls jaw drop.

"Well don't just stand there, like you said twenty minute drive, and I'm sure this isn't all of it," John called out over his shoulder as he placed the rug in the bed of his truck.
