Ariel's POV

Once I got off the bus me and Alicen rushed, well  limped toward the house, my body ached as I moved and forming bruises showed along the side of my jaw and my ribs were I had been kicked multiple times.

"I'm going to take a bath."I muttered to Alicen as I limped my way upstairs entering my room slipping off my dirt covered clothes as I dragged my feet toward the bathroom.

I, alike many other times, felt completely worthless, weak and unable to defend myself or my best friend.

It made me angry that I was unable to defend myself against my bullies, why was I so scared of them and unable to raise my hand to push them back or stand up for myself? I hate Chloe, Stacey, and Jenna they were pure evil, not only did they beat me to the pulp but I'd be the laughing stalk at school the next day, alongside with Alicen.

 I groaned in frustration as the hot water hit my aching body relieving my tense bruised muscles. My mind was racing thinking of ways to hid the bruising and avoiding as many people as possible for the next day.

Soon enough the water began to get cold since I had been in the shower for so long, I turned off the shower and stepped out  to the steamy bathroom. I grasped my towel wrapping it around my thin body as I stood in front of the mirror letting my hand wipe the steam off it so I could see myself, I could see the bruising and I couldn't help but look at myself n shame, defenseless. 

I shook my head trying to get the lingering bad thoughts out as I walked out to my room and began drying my body careful to not hurt my forming bruises.

I slipped on my bra and panties and some loose sweatpants along with a normal t-shirt.

I walked downstairs to see alicen brushing her hair, she wore one of my sweatpants and a tanktop which she most probably got from my bedroom earlier.

"I don't wanna be stuck inside all afternoon, lets go to the park or something." Alicen groaned as she glanced at me giving me her puppy eyes.

"Sure, I see why not"I replied shrugging as I brushed my long brown hair placing it in a high ponytail.

"Yay, then we could watch some Netflix and eat some Pizza or something, I'll pay this time."Alicen blabbed as I got my sweater and car keys along with my shoulder bag.

"don't forget your glasses"Alicen reminded me as she began walking toward the door.

"How could I forget them, I can barely see anything without them." I chuckled as I placed my big rimmed glasses on the bridge of  my nose.

"I'll use your sweater, Its to chilly not to." Alicen referred to the mid November chilly weather as we made our way to the car.

We both got in the car and soon enough we were on our way to the park, I glanced at the clock 5:49, hmm its almost nighttime but the less people the better.

"Oo let's go to the swings ." Alicen squealed as she rushed to them, I was a bit redundant but followed.

"Its a little late don't you think?"I stammer out as my paranoia got to me, my eyes scanning the more isolated area were the swings were at.

"Awe come on don't be a party pooper lets just swing for a bit." Alicen smiled as she turned and poked my cheek as she smiled brightly.

I rolled my eyes as I plopped down on the swing. "well I guess your right." I say caving in as I was about to swing when I saw a flash of something dark, I blinked my eyes quickly, Was I seeing things?

"did you feel that? "Alicen asked her voice was slightly trembling, I turned to see her pale face and wide eyed. "yeah b-but it's nothing ". I replied trying to convince her, and myself.

My mind went into a frenzy as I heard a low growl like whisper. " am I .....  nothing?"

I could feel goosebumps and my blood run cold , shakily and with horrified expression I slowly turned my head to be greeted with glowing red eyes that made my breath hitch as I let out a terrified screech.

I could see the perfect white canine like fangs that glimmered in the moonlight, with all my might I tried to back away, to escape whatever fate awaited me. I fell back from the swing falling on the cold hard ground, I could hear Alicen's distant screams but I couldn't look away from the dark figure in front of me as it towered over my fragile body.

"oh Ariel it's time you become one of us "said the dark woman like figure spoke I could see the visible blond strand of hair, her red eyes felt like the pierced through me and looked into my soul, I tried to back up, but moving my tense muscles seemed difficult all I could do was shake my head as I wanted to get away but my body seemed to disobey as it was frozen in panic.

"RUN!" I yelled loudly as I somehow managed to muster enough strength to lift my body and try to make a  run for it, but I bumped into a hard chest as I heard the sound of a chuckle.

"NO NO NO!" was all that streamed out of my mouth as I felt strong firm hands grab my shoulders as I kciked my legs trying to get them to let go but it felt as If my struggle was useless as I they began to drag me into the forest. "Please let go, we won't tell please don't hurt us. " I could feel my eyes fill with tears as I was losing the strength to fight back.

"I have my orders, so begging is useless "I heard the familiar feminine voice as I thrashed around making my glasses fall off making my vision blurry.

All I could see was the tall shadowy blurry trees and the gleaming red eyes. I could hear Alicen scream in pain or of horror. I could feel the sharp fangs graze my skin making me shake in fear, my mind was frantically telling me that this must be some sort of nightmare and that soon i'd wake up but I knew that was a lie and that was not going to happen anytime soon.

I felt the whoever it was bite down into my flesh, I thrashed in pain as I was held in an iron grip. i felt hot tears stream down my cheeks as i could hear my blood rushing out of me.

slowly but surely my body felt weaker from blood loss when I felt her pull away.

she then bit her wrist and put it on my mouth and grab my head small whimpers left my lips as she held on..SNAP. then everything went black.

I opened my heavy eyes the distant sound of birds chirping seemed to ring in my ears as I felt that I was covered with a plastic, I lifted my hand as I moved the plastic covering off me, I could see the bright sunlight and it seemed that the trees were swirling around me.

I tried to move my tense muscles as I raked my mind trying to remember what had previously happened.

I slowly but painfully sat up as I could feel my eyes dilating, I looked around to see a couple of numbers on the floor ranging from one to around twenty, I could feel my temples throbbing as I slowly was regaining my memories, I gasped loudly as Alicen came to my my mind. 

For some odd reason I felt like I could hear everything I closed my aching eyes as I listened carefully when I heard a soft thumping sounded which sounded like a heart beat .

Impossible, Its impossible to hear someone else's heart beat, I thought to myself as I slowly stood up my eye sight was still a bit unsteady my eyes seemed to zoom in to the smallest of details and zoom out just as quickly making my head hurt and a little difficult to walk straight and my stiff muscles didn't help much at all either.

I placed my hand on a tree trunk as I stumbles through the woods looking for my best Friend which seemed to be my priority.

The forest seemed to be like a maze as I followed the soft thumping sound, although it was hard since I was unable to move properly I kept stumbling into tree and tripping on roots the were in the floor.

"Alicen!" I called out as I looked down to see spots of blood my eyes seemed to zoom in and my heart raced as I began to follow the trail.

I moved faster tripping and hitting the floor but I knew I was close to her so I hurried standing up each time I fell.

I could hear soft groaning and I saw her my feet scrambled as I was beside her, soon enough, my vision seemed to be more steady and I could control bit more.

Alicen was sprawled out on the floor as she laid almost motionless her breaths were low and shallow I could hear her heart thumping slower and slower as she laid in a pool of her own blood. My breath seemed to hitch as I didn't know what to do.

I ran my fingers in my hair as I rubbed my face trying to think of what to do, I bit my lip only to feel two sets of upper fangs slightly pierce my lip and I could feel the sweet taste of my own blood and my eyes went wide for a second as I glanced at Alicen.

she seemed to be slowly dying and I couldn't think straight when I instinctively bit my wrist pressing it on her lips

My mind was racing as I moved unconsciously grasping her head softly as I snapped her neck with swift movement, as I stared at her in horror.

"What have I done? Why had I fed her my blood and , snapped her neck." I stammer out as I press both hands on my temples as I closed my eyes tightly.

The memories from last night seem to be returning as I noticed the woman with blond hair had done the same and I felt that I had done something right.

"I won't leave you here Alicen."I stated as I felt tears began streaming down my face, Had I killed her? why did I feel that I need to get us both out of here?

I lifted her up bridal style carrying her to my car. Why did she feel so light? Why could I move so fast? the questions pondered in my head.

I placed her inside the passenger seat as I looked back at the park I notice a couple of police cars arrive as I entered the driver seat . I could see them get out the car and begin questioning people, as a couple of what seemed to be detectives went into the woods where we had previously been. 

I put the car in reverse as I drove off, I was slightly bitting my nails as I glanced at Alicen her limp body sitting motionless in the passenger seat.

Soon enough we arrived to my house as I quickly got out and rushed to the passenger seat and lifted Alicen out of the car carrying the stiffening body into the house laying her on the couch and began pacing back and forth my mind was going berserk as I tried to make a sense of things.

I hurried upstairs and got a small damp towel and began to clean the blood off of her. I could see the wounds on the side of her neck began to heal and her bruises began to fade as she no longer had blood on her but her clothes were still damped with red blood.

I felt thirsty my mouth was dry and felt like sandpaper and I walked  to the kitchen and got a glass of water and quickly chugged it but realized that I was still thirsty so I got another one but that didn't quench my thirst.

I hurried and got a glass of juice chugging it but that didn't help either and I began drinking different liquids from milk to coffee to tea and water but nothing seemed to help I began panicking, the thirst grew making me feel hungry, I grasped an apple and the a piece of bread and soon enough I was raiding my own fridge throwing food to the side as none seemed to satisfy my growing hunger.

this seemed to go on for hours until I heard a familiar sound of Alicen's voice. 

"Where am I?" I dropped whatever food was in my hand as I rushed to the living room as I looked at Alicen and engulfed her in a hug.

"I was worried sick Alicen, I thought you had died." I cried as I held my best friend.

"It can't be." she stammered out as she pulled away as she held her head looking at me wide eyed.

"I saw what happened yesterday, You , you died Ariel." she slowly backed away eyeing me suspiciously

" I.... I .... I don't know Alicen I woke up in the woods there was alot of blood and I found you, you were hardly breathing and I.." I looked away asI wasn't sure if I should tell her what I did.

"What happened tell me." Alicen asked with pleading eyes.

"I gave you some of my blood and I think I snapped your , your neck." I closed my eyes as I didn't know how she was going to react.

"T-then how a-am I alive." Her voice was trembling as she looked at me wide eye.

"I'm not sure but, I can't hear your heart anymore." I stated and put my ear against her chest.

"W-what!" She gasped as she put her fingers on her neck checking for pulse was taken back for a moment as she looked at me her eyes were wide as she seemed to be in deep thought.

"Neither of you have a pulse, since you aren't exactly human anymore."a familiar feminine voice brought me out of my thoughts my eyes snapped up to see a pale slender woman she head blond hair and had a black robe that seemed to fit nicely around her fitted red corset like top and leather pants she also wore platform heeled studded boots.

I slowly backed away looking at her in horror, but I couldn't feel my heart racing, was she here to finish us off?

"W-what do you want from us." I spoke my voice came out more demanding and fierce than what I had expected it to.

"Well I can't leave you to figure it out yourself, I have my orders." She spoke as she walked toward us I couldn't help but frown.

"Figure out what." I say demandingly glancing at her up and down.

"Well isn't the unsatisfactory hunger and bodily appearance to set off an alarm Mistress Ariel?" She spoke as she walked toward us her movements were graceful as looked at both of us.

Alicen seemed to be frozen in fear her eyes wide as she looked at the woman before us.

"How do you know about, my thirst?" I ask as I glared at her.

"Well I was the one who was ordered to attacked you and tu-" I cut her off as I felt my blood boil.

"Why would you bloody attack us, we had done nothing wrong." I fummed angrily as I stood up walking up to her feeling a new set of confidence.

"I had to the Dark Lords wanted me to and I had to carry out the task or be killed by starvation as they ripped me into shreds and I really didn't want that"she replied as she looked away.

"But that's not the point, I came here to tell you, that you two are no longer human." She stated as she crossed her arms.

I was taken back by her words.

"Well if we aren't human then what are we." I said tauntingly although I was curious to know.

"You're vampires." She said her face showed no expression of mockery or that she was lying.

"That's absurd there's no such thing." I laughed nervously as I tried to make sense of things.

"I'm serious, just think about it, I snapped your neck how are you still here? Hmm. And you snapped your friends neck and she was literally dead for a couple of hours she no longer has a pulse or heart beat, and you have fangs, doesn't that prove to be enough?" She spoke as these realities seemed to hit me.

"I..." I trailed off unable to agrue back.

"Furthermore that's all I came to tell you, I was instructed to turn you into a vampire by the rulers, the Dark Lords and not only that but you were born a vampire and turned human, also you're a high class vampire one of only three offsprings of the the powerful dark lords." She spoke I was taken back by the news.

"My Father is dea-." I was interrupted by her.

"Your fathers name is Ashton, other wise known as Lord Ashton Moon, and I'm his messenger, Ivy " she spoke once more as I was left in shock.

"I was sent here to give you that message and later on I'm suppose to train you to control your new abilities don't make this harder for both of us now if you excuse me Mistress." And with that she disappeared I saw how quick she moved with my new heightened eyesight.

I was left in shock and turned to see Alicen ans sat beside her.

We sat in silence our minds wrapping around the news of what we were, I could feel my throat itch with hunger and I had a feeling a drink, wasn't going to satisfy it.

"I'm hungry Ariel " Alicen said breaking the silence as she placed her hand against her throat.

"we can go to McDonald's If you want to." I said softly as I glanced at her but we both knew that wasn't going to help at all.

"You know that do anything to satisfy us."she said and stood up .

I lowered my head in shame knowing somewhat  what we had to do.

"I know, we should go." I say as I looked down at my hands.

"We need to change clothes first we're covered in blood ."Alicen said as she crossed her arms

I stood up and headed upstairs noticing how fast I moved, surprising myself.

"Ariel, how in the bloody hell are you moving so fast?" Alicen said as she jogged upstairs behind me.

"I'm not sure vampire speed I guess." I stammer out glancing at her.

"Well I guess that must be one of our new features." Alicen said as she removed her blood covered shirt as she placed it in the sink of my bathroom and began to try to get the blood off, and that's when she noticed the blood on her hands, slowly she brought it to her face licking the bit of blood, her eyes went wide.

"This is, amazing." She said her eyes wide.

"Really?"I ask looking at her as going to wash my face when I saw my reflection, my hair it wasn't brown it was dark blood red .

" AHHH!" I yelled " what is it "Alicen asked in panic "my hair it's red "I stammer out as I lifted a small strand of it.

"I thought you had already noticed. and OH MY GOD MY HAIR IS JET BLACK" Alicen gaspes as she looked into the mirror ."AND MY HAIR IS BLOOD RED" I yelled again as I looked at her.

"Look how pale we look it's creepy" I said as I looked at my perfect features.

"Yeah and we look so dorky in these clothes"alicen stated as she looked down at my clothes making me roll my eyes.

"We can always go shopping"I stated as I glanced at her "sure I see why not "Alicen replied as she walked out and picked out some clothes and headed for the guest bathroom.

I quickly slipped off my clothes and stepped into the shower and began to wash the dry blood off scrubbing my hair thoroughly, maybe it was blood and not that it had changed color.

Soon  enough it was 8pm I had parked my car by the yogurt shop. me and Alicen knew what we needed to satisfy our hunger

Blood

that's what we needed and we knew there was no doubt about it.

We quickly got out the car and began making our way through the street alleys till we made it near a club.

We waited patiently until we saw  two drunk chicks walk out they were wearing leather jackets and some ripped skinny jeans they were stumbling and laughing loud and obnoxiously.

"Oh my god Ariel I can smell their blood and it smells good"alicen whispered as she looked at them.

I could hear their racing hearts and the alcohol in their system as they got closer  the sweet scent of blood made my mouth water as I awaited patiently looking at them with glowimg red eyes.

"Let's snatch them when their close enough." I ordered as Alicen nodded. we waited, I could feel them approach us till soon enough they were at our reach and sight.

I grasped on of them yanking her into the alley she yelped at the sudden occurrence her eyes wide with fear as I pinned her onto the hard concrete wall.

I could smell her fear, the bittersweet scent of her blood calling me made my mouth water as I slightly opened my mouth to reveal my upper and lower fangs I had four on top and two on the bottom.

She screeched in fear as she thrashed but it was no use as I let my fangs graze her fragile neck. I heard her sob she was terrified and I couldn't hold back any longer and I sunk in my fangs as I felt the warm liquid began to ooze out.

I tasted the sweet thick blood in my mouth it was like gold.  I was suprised at how if filled my mouth up so quickly and bit down harder earning a slight shriek from the girl. I pressed my tongue against the flesh as  more blood spruted out into my mouth my saliva slightly entering her wounds as I slipped my fangs back in and sucked the blood.

The girl no longer screamed but my saliva entering her system had her in a ecstasy kind of state and even as her life source was being drained out of her it didn't hurt but gave her a immense pleasure making her gasp.

I kept feeding until no more of the sweet blood came out . I let go of the body and it just fell down, lifeless and empty.

"Alicen is it weird that I have no guilt"? I asked as I looked at the shriveled up body.

"well I guess it isn't cause I don't feel guilty either and to be honest I want to do it again ".she said as she glanced at me .

"you know what I like her jacket " I stated smirking as I removed her jacket  not like she would need it

"You've got a point" Alicen chuckled as she grabbed the other girls jacket.

"You know what let's go do that shopping we agreed to earlier." I said and threw the body's in the dumpster.

We headed to my mustang and got in.

"Oh and Ariel check the pockets so you don't have anything trackible" Alicen said as she checked her pockets "oh look a hundred dollars, my lucky day"I laughed .

Once we got to the mall we started to go in the stores like forever 21 and hot topic wet seal and many more.

"Wow I'd never think I would these kind of clothes but now I wanna wear them " Alicen said as she paid the cashier. "yeah I know how much people change in one night "I replied jokingly as we busted out laughing.

we finished  shopping and were in the car heading home.

"Alicen do you want move to my house since you know, you and me are ,umm, kind of not human and can't exactly control our new abilities?" I asked

"yeah my mom would be very suspicious if I had blood on me ".she replied understandingly

"Good we should start packing today." I said in a high squeaky voice.

Soon enoughwe were at Alicens house we started to place her things in a couple of suite cases.

"Alicen where are you going"we heard Alicens mom say behind us

"I'm moving in with Ariel "Alicen said while looking into her moms eyes.

"Why ,don't you like it here"? she asked slightly shocked.

"Yes but I think I'm old enough to make some decisions and this decision was necessary" she replied 

"are you pregnant or something and afraid to tells us and earn are disapproval"? Alicen's mom asked as she looked at Alicen in disapproval.

"oh god mom no never it's just that you guys can now pay more attention to Lisa and buy her more things if I'm gone " she replied thinking of an excuse.

"Oh honey you don't have to leave because of your sister"she said in a motherly tone.

"mom it's best if I leave you'll be safe and Lisa will be safe" Alicen said in a stern voice 

I  all honesty both me and Alicen knew of the chance that she could lose control and kill her mom or sister, she wanted them to be happy and careless and it was  better to stay away from them.

"Are you in some sorta gang or being tracked by a killer or rapist "? she asked almost shocked

"no mom I'm definitely not in a gang or being tracked down it's something you'd never understand and I don't want you to understand " she replied in a 'duh' tone .

"Oh" is all she said Alicen ran and gave her a hug taking a deep breath her body stiffened and  I knew what I needed to do I quickly grabbed Alicen by her shirt and slinged her across the room . she flew back and hit the wall I saw her eyes turn red .

"Alicen stop you don't want to do this " I yelled and her eyes turned back to light brown ."w-what just happened , DON'T HURT MY DAUGHTER AGAIN " Alicens mom said as she started to run toward Alicen .

"Stop " I said and ran in vampire speed in front of her and she fell back. "she will hurt you or kill you "I said as lifted her up .

"She isn't able to control herself like me". I stated . "Come on Alicen before you do something stupid again " Alicen looked down in shame and nodded . 

We quickly left, leaving her mom in shock.

"It's Ok al you'll be able to control yourself soon ."I said as we got in the car.

"I know but my mom looked so scared " she said and I started to drive off "well she's safe and that's all that matters."i replied 

We got to my house and carried everything inside ."take my room I'll take the masters"I said and quickly gathered my stuff . "why can't I have the master bed room "Alicen said with a pout.

" because my house I've been here longer and you get the gray with neon green and pink striped room"I said and started to fix my aunties old bedroom which I was filling up with my things .

"You know what I'll paint this room like your room but with neon purple with neon white ."I said as I looked at the white room. "you know the sooner the better" alicen said as she stood by the door frame .

"I can go buy the supplies while you move everything out and settle yourself in my old room" I said and she nodded . I ran downstairs and grabbed my wallet and car keys and started to head to Walmart .

Once I got to Walmart I looked at the paints and picked out a bright purple and a nice dark gloomy gray . After I got my paints mixed I got some different size painters tape and headed for the bed covers section I needed a king size comfortable that would match my room.

After a couple of minutes looking I found it ,white covers with gray and black stitched patterns at the trims the only plain white spot was in the middle it was per-fect( and stay exactly where you are because you per-fect 'Liam BSE quote )

Once I got home it was silent too silent I was carrying everything and I put it down .I walked to the living room and saw her the lady in black talking to Alicen.
