"This is so unfair! Why do I have to stay home?" Emma asked Jay as he got his things together. 

"Because your on bedrest." He said helping her back into bed and putting the covers over her. "Now try not to move to much, the fridge is stocked with groceries, James took Nick and is dropping him off when I get off shift, and I'll be back later." Jay said kissing her on the head, he leaned down and put his hands on her belly.  "Be good for your mommy, and I'll be back later to tell you a story." He smiled at Emma before heading out. Emma sighed and turned on the TV.

A few hours later there was a knock at her front door, Emma got up and went downstairs. She opened the door and smiled wide.

"Grandpa!" She exclaimed, David smiled at her as she opened the door wider to let him in. They walked into the living room and sat down.

"You look amazing." David told her, Emma smiled.

"Thank you, what are you doing here? Is everything alright?"

"Almost over." David said sadly, so sad criminal minds is over! "But what can you do? I just wanted to see you and check on you, how are you?"

"I'm good."

"That's good, I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and how lucky I am to have you as a granddaughter."

"Are you alright?" 

"I'm fine, I just wanted to remind you that people out there care about you." Emma smiled at him and held his hand.

"Thank you."

Later that evening Emma and David were talking when Emma hissed in pain and grabbed her belly. 

"Somethings Wrong." She hissed, David got out his phone and called an ambulance.

Emma and David rolled into Chicago Med on a gurney, Will and April came rushing over. 

"Will, the baby!" Emma said, she was crying.

"I know, I've got you."  They rolled her into a bay and got her onto a bed, April pulled up the ultra sound and gave it to Will. He got a grim look on his face.

"What is it!" Emma cried.

"We need to get to the OR right now, the umbilical cord wrapped around the baby's neck." Will told her.

"Okay." Emma cried, April and Will pushed her towards the OR.

"You can wait upstairs in our waiting room." Magie told David who got out his phone.

"Do you have Jay's number?" He asked Maggie.

"I've got it covered." She told him directing him towards the elevators.

Outside the OR Will dialed a number on his phone.

"Will I'm kinda busy right now-"

"Emma was just admitted, she's in surgery the baby was in distress. You need to get here." 

"Yeah, I'm already out the door."

"Good."

"Will!" Jay shouted running through the ICU, Will emerged from a room.

"Hey, she's in here. She' s not awake yet." Emma was laying in a hospital bed.

"The baby?" Jay asked.

"She's in the NICU, would you like to see her?" Will asked, Jay nodded and followed Will upstairs and into the NICU. Jay gasped when he saw his baby girl covered in wires and tubes. She was tiny she could fit in Jay's hand.   

"She's going to be fine, right?" Jay asked.

"Yeah."

"Emma was three months early, just like our baby."

"Masie?"

"Masie." Jay said nodding. April came in.

"She's awake."

"Hey!" Jay said running over, he sat down next to Emma and took her hand.

"How's the baby?"

"She's beautiful, she's in the NICU."

"Jay, I'm so sorry I don't know what happend-" Emma started to cry, Jay shushed her. 

"This is not your fault don't worry. She's fine, and your fine that's all that matters." David cleared his throat and Jay stood up.

"Nice to see you again." David said shaking Jay's hand.

"Likewise, just wish it was under better circumstances. How'd you get here so fast?" Jay asked.

"I was in town."

"Oh, yeah that makes more sense." Emma shook her head.
