The Calling?
POV: Melody
Beep beep. Another message from Izzy. Probably another message begging me to come to that school.
I open it and it's not. It's a video on a song and she messaged it. "I'm here to Help You Stand Mel, just let me and we can get through it together."
I don't really want to but I listen anyway. Its amazing! I had no idea this band is so good. It's like the song was written for me.
Too bad I'll never get to see them in real life. She said that there weren't many spots left, so they are probably gone by now. It doesn't matter anyway because my family cannot afford it and nobody wants to see me. I'm not perfect, and people expect that. I mean look at those guys.
I look up the band on the Internet and the first song that comes up is one that is very touching and just makes me want to cry. (Which isn't much right now you couldn't crush my heart any more than it is right now with the pieces of it broken deep inside and cutting me up.)
This song is "Can't Get Over You." I like this song and decide to look up the lyrics. Not only do I find lyrics, but I find the story behind the song and there is a video where Alan is showing how to play the song. It looks like one of the easiest songs a person could play. I cry at the video as the guys talk about the song and how they explain its not about the words or amazing chorus.
It's about God and God alone.
When watching Alan showing the chords, I grab my old six stringed friend hidden in the back of my closet that I haven't touched in a looooong time. Tune the old thing, and see what my old pal can do.
Just then my phone rang....
