IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ

Hello everyone. Thank you for loving Dominic and Grace's story.

This brief intermission is for one purpose. I need to explain certain details about this story to my readers.

BABYSITTING THE BILLIONAIRE'S (BTBK)was birthed in May 2020. Back then, I was dipping my feet into the world of writing again after I almost lost hope because I felt my writing wasn't good enough.

After a few weeks of writing, I was chanced to sign the story with an online reading platform. I'm not sure if everyone is familiar with those platforms. But apps like Goodnovel, Webnovel, AnyStories, and the likes are what I'm talking about.

So, yeah, I signed the story exclusively with one of these platforms. The exclusivity means that I wouldn't be able to share the work on other platforms until the contract lapses. I signed in 2020 as I said, and the contract duration is five(5) years.

Therefore, the contract is meant to expire in 2025.

So that means that uploading BTBK to this platform is a sign that I have breached the contract. Well, I didn't do that because I blatantly wished to dishonour the contract.

As of early 2022, the platform started exhibiting signs of instability. At first, I wished to trust the platform, but when I signed another story with them, I was dragged into deeper shit.

Damn... I almost lost the will to write.

I had so much back and forth with my editor who made promises upon promises and so many excuses to the point that I got so tired and decided to leave.

In a bid to win back my will to write and ensure that my mental health was secure, I started to rewrite old stories. Those that found better platforms are doing well. And I'm glad one of those platforms is Inkitt and Wattpad.

But, regardless, the contract I signed with that platform still stands. And termination is not possible until the contract ends.

So, yes, I shouldn't be uploading the story on this platform. But now that I have done it, what next?

Going by the first draft of BTBK uploaded on that platform, this story has just one chapter left, and that chapter is the epilogue. And I will be honest, the last chapter has some sort of cliffhanger. (Don't worry, it is a happy ending)

So, apart from the fact that the Wattpad version of BTBK is much more edited, it is still legally the story I signed with that platform. And it is even worse that I placed it on a free-to-read platform.

So, to avoid giving them more reasons to pin faults on me, I decided to change the story a bit.

One, the title of the story will change.

Two, using the cliffhanger as a key reason, I will add extra chapters to the story.

I will leave this Wattpad/Inkitt version as it is. And I will work towards creating the newer version ahead of an Amazon publication. (It might be an ebook publication for now. I still lack funds)

But if you would like earlier access to the newer version, there will be two options available.

One, I will sign the newer version non-exclusive with two or three platforms that I can still work with. The extras can be read on the platforms once I put out links on my page.

But I am aware that some people don't care for pay-to-read platforms.

So, for the second option... If a lot of people request it, I will resurrect my dead KoFi page and start uploading contents again but at a small cost of a dollar or two. Of course, the extra chapters will be there. And perhaps, depending on how things turn out, I will limit access to some new stories to KoFi.

If neither option works, I can assure everyone that I will work hard to re-edit the newer version of BTBK and make it Amazon publishing-worthy. The only problem is that it might take a while. I don't presently have money to pay an editor.

But, with the hope that I earn substantially on the apps I will sign with, the Amazon thing should happen before the year ends.
