Back to Normal
After a month.
I still miss them every day. I'm still processing it day by day from now. There are memories that I remember and think of them and it will make me smile. I still have all of the wonderful memories of them. I swear, I will never forget them. They are the best things happened to me.
Sometimes, I quietly grieve for them. I weep just remembering them. It's heart wrenching thing that ever happened to me. It's sad but I promise Miyoung that I will be strong even if they are gone. I will keep that promise and live my life. I want to do that because I know they would also want that for me.
And I still have Lisa, she needs me. I will take care of her because we're family.
After the operation, we moved to the new house. It was already finished and as Mr. Hwang told me, he gave it to us.
It was for the best because when Tiffany woke up, she completely forgot what happened after the accident. When she looked at me, it was empty. I was a totally stranger for her.
But I always see her every morning with her routine. She jogs around the park near our place. She doesn't notice me and I know that she has no clue of who I am.
I thought it would be excruciating like shit but I was wrong. I'm happy to see her like this with no confusion in herself. She's just being herself and that's really good for her. I'm kinda hurt because she doesn't remember me but it's okay. Now that I see her totally fine, I'm contented with it.
Since I'm no longer a babysitter, I applied at Seoul University as Part-time Instructor again and it's my interview today.
It took some time for me to see Mr. Hwang. I needed time to restore myself and face them.
I knocked on the door of his office and the secretary said I could come in so I did as I was told.
I entered his office and bowed "Annyeong haseyo Mr. Hwa-" I didn't get the chance to finish my sentence when I saw his daughter not him.
I just stared at Tiffany and gaped, her expression was the same like mine. She looked stunned.
"Tiffany," I mumbled.
Gosh. I missed her so much. If I could only hug her, I would.
Tiffany seemed out of her daze as she clear her throat "You know me?"
Geez. She heard me called her name.
"Y-yes of course, Miss Hwang." I politely said.
"And you know my father."
I nodded.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Kim Taeyeon, I'm here for the interview as Part-time Instructor," I introduced myself.
"Kim Taeyeon," she repeated my name as she spaced out. She blinked few times then nodded "Okay." She typed on her laptop then scrolled the mouse, she stared at the screen "Hmm... so you already worked here."
I guess she's looking at my CV on screen.
I nodded "Yes Miss Hwang."
"Actually, this is not an interview." She looked back at me then gave me a piece of paper "My father already hired you and this is your schedule."
I gladly took it "Thank you Miss Hwang," I smiled.
She quickly looked away from me and her face reddened "Okay, you may go now Miss Kim."
"Just Taeyeon, Miss Hwang. Call me Taeyeon." I missed her calling me by my name.
"O-okay Taeyeon," she stuttered.
I bowed to her but she didn't bother to look at me again so it was my cue to leave the dean's office.
My heart was still beating fast like thousands miles per minute. Shit. Her effect to me didn't change a bit.
And I noticed that she's getting more beautiful. How I wish to touch and hug her again.
I'm hopeless.
-
I didn't know what happened and how did I get in this situation.
After the interview, I saw Yoona and we went to the nearest cafe to catch up. Nothing changed between us and she's still a really good friend of mine.
Then I saw Tiffany passed by the cafe, she didn't see us but she looked out of herself and confused. I got worried so I excused myself to Yoona and followed her.
Yes. I discreetly followed her. I already knew that she was going home because it was the same way to our house. It relieved me.
Unexpectedly, in front of our house Tiffany turned to me "Why are you following me Taeyeon? Are you a stalker?" She asked irritably.
My eyes widened, she noticed me "Huh? S-stalker? No! I'm not a stalker." I stammered and looked guilty.
Her eyebrows snapped together "Obviously, you're stalking me. Don't deny it. I will call the police," she took her phone from her pocket.
"No no! Don't call the police! I'm not a stalker!" I said trying to defend myself.
Stalker? That was a bad shot for me. She thought that I'm a bad person.
"Taeyeon eonni?" Jennie called me as she went out of our house.
"Oh thank God Jennie, tell your sister that I'm not a stalker!" I quickly said.
Jennie's forehead crease "Stalker? You? Nah... you're too beautiful to be a stalker Taeyeon eonni," she playfully said.
Tiffany scowled "You also know her?" She asked Jennie.
Jennie nodded "She's not a stalker eonni, she's our neighbor. She lives here," she pointed to our house.
Tiffany looked shocked "She's our neighbor? How come I didn't know that? And that's your girlfriend's house Jennie."
"Yes because Lisa is my younger sister," I butted in and shrugged trying to play it cool.
Jennie merely nodded.
Tiffany suspiciously stared at me so I looked away, she was intimidating.
"I will just get my laptop. Lisa and I are doing some research so excuse me guys," Jennie smiled as she excused herself and left us.
Tiffany stepped closer to me and it forced me to look at her.
"What?"
"You're still weird Taeyeon..."
Then she gave me a dirty look "Stay away from me." After that, she left me completely wretched.
Stay away from me.
Well that hurts like shit and that left me with egg on my face, I looked so dumb.
I fucked up. Big time.
