3rd Person Pov

Your eyelids slowly closed as you let out yet another sigh, shaking your head from left to right.

You almost couldn't bear the idea of having to see Ethan again. It was bad enough that you had to break up with him......but he doesn't exactly know why, sure you both had to go to back separate states. However, that wasn't the only reason.

You let a miniscule tear trickle down the side of your cheek while reminiscing about previous events.

You fought with yourself almost every night about possibly telling Ethan the truth, but the situation was just too frightening, so you wouldn't dare try to form the words in order to tell him or anyone else for that matter.

"He can't know" your breath was shaky now as guilt took over your body. Your hands found their way to your face covering your eyes. "He'd hate me" tears were profusely draining from your now puffy eyes.

You removed your hands from your face. Inhaling and exhaling audible breaths in an attempt to calm yourself down. You were 18 now and have had the right to make your own decisions since birth, but you if you had the choice, you would've taken that day back in a heart beat.

That day that causes monumental heartache every time you think about it.

That day you'll never have the guts to tell Ethan about...

That day you messed everything up.
