"I knew this would happen!!" Bailey clapped her hands together. "I'm gonna be an aunt!"

Every single face had a different emotion, shock, fear, anger, disappointment, confusion, and joy. My mom looked like she wanted to say something but was holding back. Manny was the first one to speak.

"How far along are you?"

"20 weeks. We were going to go in to find out the gender soon." I replied, my voice quivering.

"Aaliyah, we're going to be aunts!!!" Bailey excitedly shook her shoulders.

"Son," my dad turned to Shawn, "You have a lot of nerve getting my daughter pregnant."

"Dad, it wasn't intentional," I cut in. "Besides, I'd do it again."

My mom looked at me, horrified. "Watch your language young lady."

I rolled my eyes and leaned into Shawn's chest. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. "I think it's time for my family to go," he said.

My eyes pleaded with him to stay, but in my heart I knew that it was best for both families, now that the news had been shared, to have their own time to talk about it. Manny and Karen nodded and began packing up their stuff.

My parents sat there in silence, watching the proceedings in front of them. Once everyone was ready to go, Shawn said goodbye to me and promised he'd be at my house 15 minutes early so we could talk before school. There was only a week left before graduation and we needed to be there for all of the stuff.

I kissed him and squeezed his hand. Aaliyah said bye to me, as did her parents. When they'd left, I didn't want to face my parents. Hoping to slip away, I crept upstair to my room and locked the door.

Tonight didn't go as I had hoped, but it did go as I'd thought. I don't know why I expected things to go poorly, maybe cause it seemed most likely, I guess I was right.

Just as I began nodding off to sleep, there was a knock on my door.

Oh dear.

I got up, unlocked the door, and opened it. My mom was standing outside with her arms folded. Not in a mean way, but in an 'I'm tired and don't want to fight you' way.

"Can I come in?"

"Sure."

She entered and sat down next to me on my bed. There were deep lines in her forehead.

"Zeke was born when my sister was 16."

I'd remembered aunt Rosy seeming a little young to be my cousin's mother. Now everything made sense.

"I... I just don't want you ending up unhappy." She pursed her lips.

"I won't be. Shawn will be there too so the baby will have a good life."

She looked skeptically at me, "I won't say I'm not upset about all this, but I am willing to help if you need it."

That's all I wanted to hear. A wide grin cracked my face and I hugged her. "Thank you mom. I love you."

"I love you too."

"What does dad think?"

She didn't respond right away. I sat there chewing on my lip while waiting for her. "He's not... happy. I honestly don't know what he's going to say when he calms down."

I sighed and put my head in my hands.

"Can I feel the baby?"

"Sure," I sat up and put her hand over my stomach.

Within a few seconds, the baby decided to start kicking up a storm and my mom smiled. We sat on my bed for a few minutes more, just enjoying each other's company.

"Well, I'll let you get some rest, school waits for no one." She kissed the top of my head.

"Okay, I love you."

When she left, I put on my pjs and snugged up in bed to watch Grey's Anatomy on my laptop. At this point everything was a rerun cause I'd watched every episode when it aired on TV. This was something Shawn and I had in common, we both loved this show.

I didn't realize what time it was until I looked at the clock. Shawn was going to be here in 5 minutes!! I yanked the covers off and rummaged through my closet for some clothes that would hopefully fit. Shawn's hoodie was a must, and I found an old pair of yoga pants.

All in all, I looked like a homeless person. It could be worse, but at least no one could see my bump. Not that Faye and Vanessa didn't tell everyone about me and Shawn the second they got back.

I heard the ring of the doorbell and ran downstairs. Bailey opened the door and gave Shawn a big hug. I grabbed her backpack along with mine and pulled a granola bar from the cabinet to snack on while we were on the way.

It was pouring down rain at the moment. I could see Aaliyah waiting in the car. The three of us made a dash for the vehicle and managed to climb inside without getting soaked.

The ride to Bay and Aaliyah's school went by rather quickly and before I knew it, we were in the parking lot of Pine Ridge. Students were trickling in the double doors.  I turned to Shawn who was typing out a message to someone.

"So my mom came around," I sighed.

He looked up and put his phone down. "That's great to hear! And your father?"

"He can't even look me in the eye." I held back the tears threatening to pour down my face.

"I am so sorry Lily." He unbuckled his seatbelt and wrapped his arms around me.

"It's fine. What about your parents?"

"They got over initial shock and are very excited about being grandparents." He replied.

"Well that is just fantastic to hear. I am really glad someone's dad is happy about this." I smiled ruefully.

"Again, I'm so very sorry."

"Hopefully he'll come around later."

Teddy suddenly knocked on the window, breaking us from our conversation. "You love bugs ready to get this party started?"

I nodded at Shawn and we got out of the car. "I am so ready for this."

"We gonna continue with our plan?"

"Yep!"

"What are you guys planning to do?" Shawn asked.

"I'm gonna seduce Jack, our gym teacher, and Teddy's gonna be the snitch."

Shawn stared at us like we were crazy. "You sure that's a good idea?"

"Of course it's not, but it'll be fun!" Teddy smirked.

"Okay, whatever you say. If you want help, call me."

"Will do babe." I looped my arm around his and the three of us walked towards the school.

I caught sight of Vanessa talking with Carissa by the door, and the both stared at us while we walked by. I ignored them and continued moving along. Shawn, Teddy and I all had Ms. Taylor's class first, which meant sharing a room with Faye.

We climbed up to the second story and down the hall to the open door. Almost everyone was sitting down chattering loudly. They all stopped when we entered the room.

"Guys guys, don't stop on my account. I'll sign autographs and take selfies with you after class." Teddy mocked sarcasm.

We founds seats in the back and waited for the bell to ring. Soon enough it did and in walked Faye with our teacher.
