A few hours and many shops later, our group decided it was time to go back to the hotel.  A nice dip in the pool sounded really good to our aching bodies.

We caught a bus back and braced ourselves for twice the trouble. As if on cue, when we got up to the top floor, Faye and Vanessa were waiting for us.

"You guys finally made it! I was a little upset you didn't wait for me to come back with Faye, not gonna lie." Vanessa put her hands on her hips and pouted.

She had changed so much from when I last saw her. The beautiful auburn hair that used to cascade down her back was now chopped to a pixie cut, and the color had been changed to platinum blonde. The other addition was a large gold septum piercing.

"Nice to see you Vanessa," I sighed.

"I would say what she said, but it's never nice to see you," Brian crossed his arms.

He absolutely hated her. As much, or even more than Faye hated me. Apparently back in freshman year they were dating and then he walked in on her cheating on him with his best friend and his brother.

I guess he never got over it. I don't blame him, especially since it was all people he trusted.

Teddy nodded his head, "What he said."

So there's more to the story. A few months after Brian and Vanessa broke up, Teddy wanted to get back at her for cheating, so he pretended to want to date her. They went out for a while until he built up her trust in him. Then he intentionally brought a girl over and knew she would be coming by later.

Needless to say, she was furious and admitted to cheating on Teddy with someone else as well. Anyway, both guys are made cause she can't keep her legs closed and was living a lie to them for a while.

"I agree with Lily, it is nice to see you," Shawn added.

She batted her eyelashes at him, "At least someone is excited to see me."

Brian snorted and stomped away to his room.  I was getting a little annoyed at her as well.  She seemed to be thriving by knowing everyone was uncomfortable.

"Okay, well I'm going to go to my room," Shawn looped his arm around my waist.

I smiled up at him and nodded, "I'll come with."

"We can all go," Faye added.

"Um, I don't think that would be wise..." Shawn trailed off.

"Oh come on, it's not like I'd try to kiss you."  She turned to me, "That would be something only a jerk would do."

Shawn's grip on my waist tightened, and I could see Teddy ball his fists up.  The two of us walked away from her and towards our room.  As far as I knew, the plan was still to meet at the pool.

Once we got inside, I changed into the orange bathing suit from the other day.  Shawn was wearing a pair of red and white striped swim trunks and a white tank top. Not gonna lie, he looked hot.

"I'm ready," he combed his fingers though his hair.

"Same."

We took each other's hand and walked out the door together. I assumed the others had already beaten us to the pool.  Also, I'm guessing Faye and Vanessa were going go be there as well.

At this hotel, the pool was outside.  And there was even two jacuzzis.  Not too many people were here, just a young couple with their son, and an old man who was sunbathing.

Sure enough, Teddy and Brian were splashing around in the deep end while Faye and Vanessa were hanging in one of the jacuzzis.

We did a cannon ball and joined the guys. Soon after, the girls joined us. Teddy and Brian suddenly got mellow as soon as their bodies touched the water.

"Let's play Marco Polo," Faye suggested.

"Fine," Shawn rolled his eyes. "I'll be it."

We all scattered and waited for Shawn to call out Marco.

"Marco!"

"Polo," we whispered.

"Come on guys, you have to be louder than that."

"POLO!!!" Our whispers had grown to screams.

"Better," Shawn chuckled. "Marco."

He was getting near Faye. "Polo," she purred seductively.

Since his eyes were closed, he couldn't see where his hands were... she could though. Quietly, she edged closer to him. He held his hands out and felt something.

"You got me Shawn, so scandalous."

His eyes flew open and he jerked his hands away, they had landed on her boobs. It didn't help that she was wearing a super revealing bikini.

"I'm done." I swam towards the shallow side and stormed out of the water. Shawn followed after me.

"I'm so sorry Lily."

"It's not your fault," I sighed.

Brian walked up to us, "Are you two done?  Cause I definitely am. Faye and Vanessa are total mood killers."

I chuckled, "Yes."

"Awesome sauce, I'll tell Teddy."

I continued to walk back inside while Shawn waited for the group. It was nice having my thoughts to myself for a few minutes. The past few days have been crazy, and I'm guessing that it was only going to get crazier in the coming days.

When I got back up to my room, I looked through the window and saw that the group was just now leaving the pool.  Faye was walking close to Shawn, typical.

Once I had changed into a black dress, I heard voices outside.  It sounded like Faye and someone else, probably Shawn. She was talking in a whisper so it was kind of hard to hear her. I crept close to the door and put my ear against it. They seemed to be right outside our room.

"You know, it was really nice to have your hands on me earlier, I missed the feeling."

My blood began to boil. It sounded like Shawn sighed, "Can we just put this behind us? I wanted to be able to still be friends, but the way you're acting makes me not want to anymore."

"Oh Shawnie dear, we can always be... friends," she purred. It took every ounce of me to not throw the door open and shove her out the window.

There was sudden silence for a moment before I heard something fall and hit the floor in the hallway. I unlocked the door and swung it open to find Faye kissing Shawn with her hands all tangled in his hair.

Teddy was standing a few feet away with his mouth wide open. He had dropped a bucket filled with ice for his room. Brian opened the door across from us and looked as shocked as Teddy.

I swear I was seeing red. I think it took Shawn a moment to figure out what was going on, because he stood stalk still. All of a sudden, I guess he snapped out of whatever trance he was in and pushed Faye away.

She noticed me and put on a triumphant grin as big as the Cheshire Cat. I tried to keep cool, I really did. My endeavor failed after about 0.3 seconds. Shawn must have noticed the dark look in my eye.

"Lily, come on, let's talk."

"Shawn, shut up for one second. I have to deal with this thing that's wasting oxygen." I was breathing really heavy and closed my eyes.

"Face it Lily, he can't stay away from me." Faye shrugged her shoulders.

My eyes flew open and I lunged at her. Shawn grabbed my shoulders before I could land a punch to her perfect teeth.

"LET GO OF ME SHAWN, RIGHT NOW!!" I screamed at him.

"I can't do that Lily." His voice was stern.

"I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR LITTLE FACE OFF FAYE!! YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK!"

Every emotion I'd been feeling since she slapped me when we played truth or dare at her house came flooding back.  I couldn't hold my tongue any longer.

"Lily," Shawn pulled me into our hotel room and locked the door.

"What Shawn?!"  I stomped toward the queen sized bed.

"I'm sorry for anything you saw.  She forced herself on me and I don't know how I could have provoked her."

"This is not your fault.  None of this is your fault."  I was still angry.

"I just don't want to see you, or the baby, get hurt."

I sighed and sat down at the foot of the bed.  "I know.  I didn't think I would act out, she just got me so mad."

"I completely understand, I feel the same way.  But the media would eat up a story where Shawn Mendes beats the living daylights out of his ex girlfriend."  He hugged me and kissed the top of my head.

"What are we going to do about her?"

"Well, there's not much we can do until we get back to Toronto.  Then we can issue a restraining order."

"At least she's only coming to this show." I chuckled, "But I wish it was tomorrow instead of Thursday."

"Me too, to both your statements," Shawn agreed.

I yawned, "Well, I'm tired and hungry. Should we order room service?"

"That sounds like a lovely idea." He crawled onto the bed and under the covers. I joined him and flicked on the TV while he ordered us food.

The encounter with Faye was temporarily forgotten as we basked in the happiness of being with each other.
