46. Recommitment

2 Months Later

"Seol? Are you almost ready in there? Everyone's waiting."

Jungkook stood in the hallway of their family home outside the bathroom. He looked down at the black tuxedo he had on, reaching up to fiddle with his tie to make sure it was on straight.

"I'm coming!" said Seol followed by an ouch as he clearly stumbled into something.

"Are you and the tie having a fight again?" asked Jungkook with a soft smile. "Those seem to be your weakness."

The lock in the bathroom clicked suddenly then as the door opened to reveal Seol. He was in a black tuxedo like his father, but his tie was knotted in the worst way possible. Jungkook chuckled as he stepped forward, reaching out his fingers towards his son to help him fix the tie.

"We will have to have some more lessons on this," said Jungkook.

Seol smiled softly as he watched his father work at helping him get all fixed up. From where the two of them stood, they could hear violin music softly invade the house from where it was being played out back.

"UNCLE KOOKIE!"

Seol looked at the little four year old girl that ran up to stand beside Jungkook. The girl's dirty blonde hair seemed to bounce about her as she grabbed a corner of Jungkook's suit jacket to tug at it. Jungkook turned to look at the little girl who wore a blush pink dress; a flower basket strung on one arm.

"Chi, where is your father?" asked Jungkook.

"Outside! He sent me to get you! They are all looking for you!"

"I told your dad where I was going," said Jungkook with a sigh.

Seol chuckled as Chi moved away from Jungkook to grab Seol's hand in hers. It was weird for Seol to come back to the future to all these new 'cousins' he hadn't had before. First Kim Moon, now Kim Chi.

"Come on ring bearer!" said Chi as she kept her hand in Seol's, tugging him down the staircase.

Jungkook laughed as Seol was half dragged down the stairs by the over enthusiastic Chi. She couldn't be more like Taehyung if she tried. He moved to follow after them, watching Chi lead Seol over to where Moon was already standing. Park Binna stood off to the side a little bit; her three year old face framed by a mass of dark black curls. Jungkook moved past them on his way out into the backyard.

The backyard had been set up much like a wedding; the chairs already filled in with friends and family. Jungkook walked down the middle aisle as he stood near the front, clasping his hands in front of him. He felt his heart beating in his chest a million miles a minute as he stood there; eyes turning to look back at the house as the violinist changed the tune.

Moon, Binna, and Chi all walked down the middle of the aisle in a triangle of sorts, tossing flower petals everywhere. Seol took up the rear with the rings; a smile on his face as he reached the front. It was then that Jungkook's eyes were set completely on Rai as she moved to begin walking down the aisle. She was dressed in the most beautiful white gown he'd ever seen. It was accented in various parts by glittering silver jewels that seemed to catch the rays of the sun. Rai chuckled as she soon stood in front of Jungkook; a blush decorating her cheeks.

"You said I didn't have to go for a traditional dress for the recommitment ceremony," said Rai, "So I decided to go in the middle since you wanted to make a big deal of this anyway."

"Well, it is a big deal to me," said Jungkook, "And you look gorgeous, Rai."

He reached out to hold Rai's hands in his. Though they hadn't ever made the divorce final (so they were still technically married), Jungkook wanted to go all out with a recommitment ceremony to show her how much she was valued and how serious he was about staying this time around. He told everyone he wanted it to be like their wedding, though in their backyard so it could be secluded from the paparazzi. He just wanted to have a nice moment with his family and friends.

"Rai," said Jungkook when it came time for his vows, "There are so many things that I could say to you right now, but every last word that I would have to say would not do you justice. You are the most extraordinary person that I have ever met, and meeting you was the best moment of my life. I am grateful to have you and our son in my life. I'm also happy to be able to expand our family, and meet our next remarkable child in the next few months. I promise you now that I am going to stay by your side until my dying day, and in that time I will love you as you deserve to be loved and treasure you like the jewel you are."

He could see the tears slipping down Rai's cheeks, shifting a hand free to wipe them away. He listened to Rai's words back to him; about how she loved him with all her heart, and how she was glad they had such a remarkable son that helped them find their way back to each other to rekindle that love. She also expressed her own joy at their current pregnancy and at the child they would soon meet. Jungkook was on cloud nine by the time the two of them slipped wedding bands back on each other's fingers before leaning in for a kiss.

"Seol," said Chi as she stood beside him, looking from his parents kissing to Seol's face. "Are you hurt?"

Seol smiled around the tears slipping down his face, shaking his head as he looked at Chi and then Binna who decided too that she was concerned about him. Moon smiled off to the side, moving to loop an arm about Seol's shoulders.

"He's fine," said Moon in response for him. "Haven't you ever seen a man cry before?"

Seol chuckled as he looked over at Moon, watching as she then turned to distracting young Chi and Binna with Dad jokes. This was all Seol had ever wanted. This made everything worth it. As he looked towards his parents again, he started to hum; the lyrics to a song softly falling from his lips.

'If you're lost
You can look and you will find me.
Time after time.'
