2- Advice
SEOKJIN'S P.O.V
The cars honked at us after I pulled her back to safety onto the sidewalk.
"Are you alright?" I asked worriedly as I looked down at her.
She was shivering as I held her in my arms still, but that was only for a moment when she pushed me away from her.
She began to kneel down, and began to search around on the ground, patting the concrete as she moved her hands around, and I started to get confused.
I looked around, and I saw a little stick of some sort, lying just across from us.
I started to walk towards it, and picked them up in my hands as I came back to her.
"Um, are you looking for these?" I say, and she stopped searching.
She didn't answer, but she did put her hands out.
I walked around her, and kneeled down on one knee as I gave her back her stick when that was when I actually looked at her face for the first time.
She had long black hair that flowed in waves, adorning her porcelain-like skin. She had a straight but small nose, and full lips in the shade of soft pink. And lastly her eyes...
She looked strangely familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint how she even was.
I began to look up at her eyes, and as if she noticed, she turned her head away, and started to get up by herself, and took out the weird stick shaped thing out as she started to walk away.
That was when I spoke up.
"Hey, aren't you going to thank me?" I started to say, stopping her from taking another step. "I just saved your life from getting into a car accident just now."
"I didn't ask for your help."
I was shocked by her words, and the sign turned to a go, and the beeping started all over again, and she began to walk forward, when I saw it.
She unfolded the stick, and it became a walking stick and she began to tap on the ground as she walked when I began to realize... she was blind.
Suddenly, all of my short anger dispersed, and I rushed forward towards her and onto the crosswalk.
"Hey, do you want any help getting across the road-"
"Aniyo. I can walk just fine myself." She cutted me off, and I slowed down to a walk behind her, and watched her in front of me. I felt a great need of protecting her, and started to feel guilty.
After we had crossed the street, I rushed back up to her side again.
"Hey, um, do you need any help-"
"Aniyo! I don't need or want any of your help! I'm fine, so can you just ignore me like what a complete stranger would do, and walk away please?" She yelled at me.
I was shocked when she yelled at me, but I also felt... guilty of some sorts.
So, I just stopped in my tracks and watched her walk on, as she tapped on the ground with her stick.
When she was a good distance away, I began to walk forward, keeping an eye on her.
By the time I turned into the school gates, I was spotted out by Jungkook and Jimin, who were standing near the gates, and they started to walk towards me.
"Hyung!" They say, as Jungkook placed his arm around my shoulder, and Jimin who started to talk about the basketball match he had with Yoongi last night, and that he lost to him 5 to 20.
But while they were talking, I kept looking around for that strange blind girl, but I couldn't see her anywhere.
"Yah, hyung, are you listening?"
I looked back to Jimin who was giving me a look. "Who are you looking for?"
"Ah, no one." I say with a short smile. "Yeah I'm listening."
He smiled at me, and he turned me around as the three of us walked into the school building.
"Ah it's lunch time!" Hoseok says as he stretched his arms above his head as the three of us walked together down the hall.
"I haven't eaten breakfast this morning," Namjoon says as he wore a pout on his lips, while rubbing his stomach.
"Why didn't you?" I asked him, and he just shrugged.
"I just didn't feel like it," He said as he turned and looked at me.
I frowned at him. "Yah, that's not good. You're supposed to eat 3 meals a day-"
I was interrupted when Jimin, Yoongi, and Jungkook were yelling at us from across the other hall, and we joined up together, so that the 6 of us were going to the cafeteria together.
"Geez that math lesson was so long, I ended taking a nap until Mr.Yeon caught me sleeping," Yoongi said as he started to yawn.
I smiled, as the others chuckled.
"You should've seen it! Mr.Yeon made Yoongi stand in the back with his arms raised up, but he got so tired he leaned against the wall and ended up sleeping standing up," Jungkook says.
We all started to laugh at Yoongi, who waved it off as he smiled to himself.
When we reached the cafeteria, we started to get in line for the food.
I started to fill my platter with some soup and things when someone came up beside me.
"Do you have a few bucks I could borrow,"
"Aniyo, hyung." I say turning my head as I looked at my older brother. "Why don't you go find a job and make your own money instead of asking me, your little brother for money."
He scoffed. "I did have one, but I got laid off alright? I need a few bucks now please,"
"For what?"
"I want to get a drink," He says putting his hand out.
"Then go to the water fountain." I say, raising my eyebrows as I turned and walked away from him.
My older brother is one lazy sack of potatoes. He rarely gets out of the house, and the only time when he does is when he goes to school, or goes to the arcade after school. So all the responsibilities builds up on me, since I'm the only one who helps around the house.
The only reason why he wanted some money was because he ran out or something for the arcade.
I turned around and saw him talking with his friends, and saw one of them slip him some money while wearing an annoyed expression on their face. Poor guy.
I sat down with the gang, and started to eat.
"Yah, Jimin stop bothering Jungkook so much," Namjoon says, frowning at Jimin who was trying to force some of his food to Jungkook, who's been declining.
I chuckled, looking at Jimin still pressuring Jungkook.
"Just one bite, alright? One bite," Jimin says to Jungkook, who had his lips sealed tight as he started to lean the other way, and away from Jimin who had a spoonful of soup.
He leaned so far back, he accidentally bumped into Yoongi who was trying to bring his own spoonful of soup into his mouth, but spilled it all over himself when Jungkook accidentally bumped his elbow.
"Aish, jinjja!"
He exclaimed, and both Jungkook and Jimin leaned the other way from him, wearing scared expressions on both of their faces, and Hoseok and Namjoon and I laughed.
"This was my favorite shirt aish," He complained, and I reached over and patted his shoulder.
"You have plenty of white shirts," I say reassuringly, and he faked smiled at me while the rest began to laugh at him.
After lunch, the six of us headed out of the cafeteria, and towards the stairs where we went all the way up to the top, to the school roof where we usually hang out.
"It feels so good," Hoseok says as he stretched his arms up, soaking up the sunlight.
"I wish we could stay up here and forget about school," Jimin says.
"I wish I could sleep up here forever," Yoongi said with a yawn.
"Why should it be up here? You sleep pretty much everywhere, hyung." Jimin says, and Yoongi smiled and put him in a headlock, and Jimin started to scream and laugh.
I turned away from them, and walked towards the railing, and looked down to see other students walking around the school in the outside patio, talking among themselves and such.
My mind started to wonder, and I started to think about the blind girl I met this morning and what she had said to me.
"Aniyo! I don't need or want any of your help! I'm fine, so can you just ignore me like what a complete stranger would do, and walk away please?"
"Hyung," I turned my head and saw Namjoon was also looking down from the railing beside me, and turned his head and looked up at me. "Are you alright? You seem a bit distant today."
I smiled. "I'm good, it's just that... something is bothering me since this morning."
"And what is it?" He asked, looking at me with keen interest.
I turned my back around, and leaned against the railing. "I saved a girl from getting into a car accident this morning,"
He raised his eyebrows. "Did you fall in love with her?"
"Aniyo, that's not the point..." I say as I sighed as I turned my head and looked up at him. "The thing is...she's blind."
He didn't say anything, but was looking down the school railing. After a moment, he spoke up.
"So why is that bothering you?"
"Aniyo, it's not the fact that she's blind that bothers me, it's the fact that she doesn't want my help... or anyone's help at the most." I say as I frowned. "And she was angry when I offered, I just don't understand."
"Maybe because she wanted to learn and do everything herself ever since she lost her sight." He says.
"I know it could be a good thing, but she almost got ran over this morning, and without my help she would've gotten hurt." I say, and ran my hand though my hair as I started to feel frustrated.
When he didn't say anything, I turned to him to see he was still looking down.
"What are you looking at?" I say as I turned around also, trying to see where he was looking at.
He sighed. "I don't know, maybe at the blind girl you're talking about?"
"Where?!" I suddenly say, and looked around frantically.
"Are you sure you didn't fall in love with her?" He says, and I turned and gave him a look, and he smiled. "While you were talking, I was looking down for a moment and I spotted her."
"You see that area near the fountain? Those benches under the large tree?" He says as he pointed her out for me, and it took me a moment before I saw her sitting there, reading a book.
"I see her," I say, and he patted my back.
"She's not called the blind girl by the way," He says and sighed. "Her name is Sumin."
"Do you know her?" I asked him.
"Maybe," He said with a shrug, and I frowned. He saw my expression and chuckled. "Fine, yes I do. She went to my middle school, but I wasn't really friends with her. I just knew of her."
"What was she like?" I asked him.
"Well she wasn't blind a few years ago, that's for sure." He says, and I turned my head and looked at him.
"Did you know what happened to her?"
"Geez, if you want to know so much why don't you ask her instead." He says, looking at me weirdly.
I turned back around and sighed. "I don't know if I could directly ask her that."
"Well you know you can talk and get to know her more," He says with a smile, and leaned towards me and patted me encouragingly on the back, before he left and walked towards Yoongi and the others.
That sounded like a good idea to me, actually.
I looked up again, and said a silent thank you to Namjoon before I turned around and saw her sitting there and smiled to myself before I turned away and headed towards the guys.
Hey guys!
