17- Classroom
KIM SEOKJIN'S P.O.V
"Where have you been all night?" My mom said as soon as I just stepped inside the house.
"Out," I just say, taking off my shoes as I put my indoor shoes on.
"Well do you know what time it is?" She says as she crossed her arms. "What have you been doing with your friends at this time? Did you just go to a party?"
"No, I didn't." I just replied as I walked towards the kitchen with her following after me. I poured myself a glassful of water, and drank it.
Just then, my older brother walked into the kitchen too, and he looked at me with a knowing look, and I just gave him a look, and he turned his head and opened the fridge to look for something to eat.
"Well don't come home this late again, especially when you have school tomorrow morning." My mom says with a sigh. "Goodnight you two. I'm heading to bed."
"Goodnight omma," We both say, as she left the kitchen. Until when she closed her bedroom door, I turned to look at my hyung, who was already looking back at me.
"How was it?" He just asked as he crossed his arms.
"None of your buisness," I just say. I was still mad at him for not telling me anything involving Sumin's older sister, and I didn't need to tell him anything about our date.
"Geez alright, no need to be so tensed up. I was just asking," He says and rolled his eyes. "Judging from your attitude, I could guess it went rather well, eh?"
I just glared at him, and turned around and started to walk out of the room when he stopped me.
"Hey, um, did she mention anything about me ever since that day?" He asked hesitatingly. "I mean, of course she wouldn't mention me today, but you know-"
"Did you remember anything that she said to you?" I asked him, cutting him off.
"I know what she told me, but still I can't afford to feel so guilty about it anymore!"
"Then do something about it! I can't always be the one who can help you with this situation, hyung. It's your own fault, not mines, or Sumin's that you didn't attend her funeral. Not only that, but how you could hide that for a long time, without telling your family members."
"It was complicated alright? A few weeks before the accident, I found out through a friend that Naeun was cheating on me with another guy from a diffrent school. I confronted her, and we had a huge argument, which in the end I broke up with her. I still loved her, but I hated her at the same time for what she did to me. Then when I found out about the accident that was on the news, I couldn't believe it."
I watched him take a deep breath, and tried to keep going. "How... how could I come to her funeral after that? She cheated on me, and I hated her for it... and now she's gone."
It was a complicated situation, and I didn't know how this problem was going to be resolved.
"I heard that her and her sister were going to some party, but they were messing around in the car when it was raining, and the road was slippery... and then the accident happened. It was a miracle how Sumin was able to make it out alive, but it left her blind."
I sighed, and scratched the back of my head. So that was how it happened. I never really wanted to bring up the subject around her sister, or the accident since she still would be touchy about it.
"But... you did love Naeun right?"
"I did..." He trailed off as he nodded, and then smirked a little. "And now my little bro is getting involved with her little sister. Isn't that a little awkward?"
"Goodnight," I just say, already walking to my bedroom.
That night, what my brother had told me left me confused and worked up around the whole situation. I don't think Sumin really knew of what Naeun did to my brother, but if I told her, I don't know how she would react.
Now in bed, I closed my eyes.
Things never got complicated like this before, and I wanted it to change immediately.
"Thanks for the notes again, Namjoon." I say to him as we walked together down the hallway, towards the classroom.
"You're welcome," He says, and turned his head and looked at me. "How was the date with her?"
I just gave him a look, and he chuckled.
"Alright, alright. I assume it went well, right?"
"You sound exactly like my brother, it's sickening." I say, and he started to laugh.
"And talking about your brother..." He trailed off as he was looking at something.
I turned my head to where he was looking at, and saw my brother, talking to Sumin in the corner of the hallway. I couldn't tell what Sumin was thinking, as her expression was hard to read.
"Should we leave them?" Namjoon asked me, but I couldn't help but feel a little protective over here, even though she was talking to my older brother.
"Yeah," I just say, and continued to walk, but I couldn't stop looking away from them.
Even during class, I couldn't help but let my mind drift on what Sumin and my brother could be talking about. Did he tell her the things that he wished to have told her before?
"Mr. Kim Seokjin!"
I turned my head so fast, my neck started to cramp up, and I reached for it.
"Yeh, uh, yeh Mr.Yook!"
"Were you listening to what I just said?" He says sternly, and I started to get nervous as the other people in my class were starting to pay attention to me.
I racked my brain up, trying to remember what he had said before I zoned out.
"Yeh, you were talking about how the countries economics have been raised to an additional 13% in the past year." I say unsurely.
"Wah... Jin oppa is so cool!" I heard some girls say, before Mr.Yook told them to be quiet
"Well alright... but you should be looking at me than outside the window!" He says before he went back to teaching the class, and I sighed in relief.
"Ooo, someone's daydreaming about Sumin..." Hoseok whispered in my ear in a sing-song tune.
"And I bet you are thinking about Lina," I said back at him, and he gasped.
"I already told you a million times already! We're not dating! We're just best friends!" Hoseok said.
"That's what they all say at first," Namjoon says, and rolled his eyes, while I, as well as Jimin and Yoongi snickered at Hoseok.
"You guys are seriously so annoying," Hoseok says as he flicked his bangs away from his eyes.
"Says the loud mouthed horse," Jungkook joined in, and we all opened our mouths and silently screamed at Jungkook's great comeback at Hoseok.
Hoseok just glared at Jungkook, and rolled his eyes and sighed as he started to fan himself, as if to cool himself from the roast that he just got.
"That's my Kookie!" Jimin whispered to Jungkook as he rasied his hand up in a high five, but Jungkook high fived Yoongi instead, and Jimin lowered his hand down in disappointment.
I smiled at them, and turned back around in my seat, and looked up at the board and began jotting down the notes that I had missed, and looked at the time, to check until lunch time came around so I could go see Sumin again.
Ah, gotta love them lol
That Sunshine reference though *coughs*
