  FROM FIRST GLANCE, HAWKINS, INDIANA WAS JUST ANOTHER SMALL TOWN. Just another suburban, tight-knit, and normal community. Hawkins had nothing to hide. But if you took a closer look and peeled off your rose-tinted glasses, you would find that Hawkins was nothing like it seemed.

  HIDDEN DEEP WITHIN THE TOWN'S DARKEST SECRETS, WAS HAWKINS LAB. The lab was simply just a rumor to locals—simply just a myth for people to scoff and roll their blinded eyes at. That's crazy. They would say. Testing on children? Nonsense. But it wasn't nonsense. It was the truth; and it had been Seven's truth for as long as she could remember.

FREEDOM WAS A PRIVILEGE THAT SEVEN HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE. The lab was a living hell—a prison if you will. Grey, bland walls—cold, hard title—and dry, almost suffocating air—the place was completely devoid of anything lively—anything remotely human. But it was fitting for its inhabitants—at least for what it's inhabitants were brainwashed into believing.

  SEVEN WAS NOTHING BUT A MONSTER. An unnatural, untamed beast—with abilities that not even the most intelligent people could understand (And believe me, they've tried.). She was a danger. She was a savage. But also, she was a pawn. Simply just a tool in Papa's horrid toolbox—cursed to forever be chained to the lab's sickly insides.

INTILL SHE WASN'T. One fateful day, she and her sister, Eleven, managed to free themselves of their shackles; escape the hell that has ruled their young lives since they were old enough to have conscience. Finally, Seven was free—or so she thought.

  WHEN SHE AND ELEVEN STUMBLE UPON A RAG-TAG GROUP OF KIDS THEIR AGE OUT IN A WHIRLING STORM, SEVEN'S LIFE GETS EVEN MORE WILD. Thrown on the mystery of a lifetime, Seven finds that maybe, she wasn't a monster like she always thought she was. She finds that she's kind, loyal, brave, and in the eyes of her new nerdy friends a certain troublesome blue-eyed boy, she is wondrous.

TO NICK JACKSON, HAWKINS WAS EVERY BIT A NORMAL TOWN. At best, mildly interesting, and at worst, incredibly boring. Hawkins was nothing special—just an ordinary town where everyone knew everyone and there was some random festival every now and then that his dad mingled and flirted with women at. But that was before Will disappeared and he and his best friends accidentally found two hospital gown-wearing girls in the middle of a storm.

  NOW, HAWKINS WASN'T SO NORMAL ANYMORE. Now, it was extremely and exceedingly abnormal—and probably a little insane; if Nick was being honest. After Will suddenly went missing and he and the rest of his best friends set off to find him and instead stumbled upon two odd girls who barely spoke, his whole world was flipped upside down. Of course, not all of it was bad—he did meet Seven out of it—but still, it was weird.

  NICK'S BORING LIFE WAS NOW MORE ENTERTAINING THAN HE THOUGHT HE COULD HANDLE. Now, Nick's world was filled with demogorgons, Ven's cool nature powers, El's odd telepathic powers, the Upside Down, and feelings—specifically romantic—at least he thinks; he's not one hundred percent sure (And don't bug him about it—he gets irritated very easily!). Anyways, moving on, now Nick and the rest of Hawkins peoples' lives were forever changed—now, whether it was a good or bad change, was up to them to decide.

  BUT IT WAS NOW FOR CERTAIN: HAWKINS, INDIANA WAS—INDEED—NOT A NORMAL TOWN. In fact, it was more like a HELL.

A HELL THAT WAS NOW SEVEN, NICK, AND THEIR ODD, RANDOM TEAM OF LOSERS' RESPONSIBILITY.

^^^^Me convincing myself I can write a whole ST series even though I already have a whole SW series and two Karate Kid/Cobra Kai books to write 😀👍

But anyways, this fic was birthed by my new obsession with Stranger Things because I recently decided to f*** it and finally watch it!! Now I'm addicted and I couldn't help but throw the ideas that were bouncing around in my brain into a fic!!

Alright, let's get into some important tings!!

• Firstly, this fic is part of my up and coming Stranger Things series, THRILLER NIGHTS! All the books will take place around the same timeline, and the characters from each fic will show up in other fics! So there will be a lot of slight plot changes because of my OC's that will be added in.

• Secondly, Seven!! Seven is my nature obsessed baby who literally just wants to be her own person 😭—and she also has some interesting abilities heheheehh. Pretty much she has this odd connection to nature, which allows her to harvest the elements for her use (kinda like elemental magic) and she still can use telekinesis like Eleven and shares El's void ability as well (though it isn't as powerful or clear as El's). Her abilities will be better shown in the actual book. As for her plot, she and El's plot is quite interwoven, as I will be making quite a lot of minor and some larger changes to the canon! That's really all I got on her at the moment without spoilers lmao 🥲

• Third, Nick!! Nick is the certified himbo/idiot of the party and I stan him so much for that 💀 He's that dingus who picks and chooses when he wants to actually use his one brain cell he somehow has bouncing around in his skull. But anyways, he's my dumb baby whom I adore with all my heart and I honestly and can't wait to write his and Seven's story!! 🥰
