10. Say hi to Daddy

When Lonnie Olympus woke up on Thursday morning in her hospital bed, she was slightly dizzy and doped up. To be fair, she had multiple drugs in her system designed to help her recover, so she was surely a little loopy.

That's one of the reasons why she didn't see the forty something man sitting in one of the plastic chairs next to her. He had a day's old beard, sandy blond hair and blue eyes. He looked a bit like that one actor from Under the Dome. He was busy typing something on his phone, but he heard the bed creaking and he looked up.

" Hey sweetie."

Babylon nearly jumped out of the bed in surprise.

" W- What? Don't startle me like this, please..."

" I'm sorry, Lon. But... Won't you say hi to Daddy? I've missed you so much it's unreal..."

He got up, approaching the bed, to cuddle her or something. She backed away into her mattress.

" No. No, don't come any closer."

" What?"

" I said don't come any closer. I... I want to be alone right now. I don't want anyone creeping onto me when I'm sleeping... It... It scares me."

" Lon... I just wanted to hear my missing daughter say hello!"

" You didn't even wait for your missing daughter! You thought I was dead or as good as dead and didn't even try waiting with mum! Don't give me none of that crap! Leave me alone! You should know that if I wasn't here for a while I probably don't want people watching me  sleep!"

" Don't you talk like that young lady—"

The door opened. It was a tired looking Morgana clutching a cup of hospital coffee ( it may as well be pee in a cup, it had the same taste).

" Donnie, she's right. Leave her alone."

Babylon felt bad for creating drama out of nothing. But her heart had started beating really fast when she'd been startled, when she'd realized she'd been surveilled in her sleep. Her heart monitor was still beeping way too fast, and everyone could hear it. Something, a sixth sense, an inner feeling, told her that the past two months, she'd been watched in her sleep....

Donald Olympus and Morgana Olympus left the room. She could hear parts of their conversations, but they didn't make much sense to her in her loopy state.

"... She's a kid. She just came back from something traumatic that she doesn't remember, but somewhere inside she remembers. Of course she's gonna be on edge, Donnie!"

" Don't call me Donnie, Morgana. We left that name a long time ago..."

" Donald..."

" Morgana, I have to head back to the hotel. Tell Lon I'll come back if she wants to see me, alright?"

" Don..."

" I'm leaving, Meg!"

Near the end of the day, Babylon heard her door creak open. Three gorgeous girls entered: Blake, Olivia and Samantha. Lonnie smiled feebly. She was happy that they came, even after she wasn't that nice to them.

" Hey, Baby... You holding up okay?"

" I'm... I'm okay Liv. I'm okay."

Her buff friend didn't seem to really believe that, but she didn't pry. The three girls were still wearing sport attire. They'd just come out of a very long PE class at Peters High.

" We... uh. We saw your dad when we arrived. He... He came to see you?" Samantha asked gently

" He was creeping on me while I slept so I asked him to leave."

Blake and Samantha exchanged glances. It wasn't noticeable by Lonnie's drugged up eyes, but it was noticeable for Liv, who felt once more, left out.

" Did your mum tell you about this summer?"

" Yeah, he left."

Another glance between the girls. This time, Liv was part of the exchange too.

" Why?" Lonnie slurred

" No reason."

Blake pulled up a plastic chair so she could be next to her best friend. Her eyes were glittery, filled with tears. She wanted to ask so many things— but how could she? She couldn't ask some things, it wasn't nice or of good taste, and others she simply couldn't ask because Lonnie wouldn't be able to answer.

She simply took her friend's hand and smiled, fighting back the tears that were threatening to run down her beautiful cheeks.

" You know..." Lonnie started " I... I'm really glad I have awesome friends. I... Um... I... I don't... I just..."

" You don't have to say anything, Baby. We'll be hear either way." Blake said softly, squeezing Babylon's hand

" I know I just... I... I'm scared. I'm really scared and scarred and... Without you I... I don't know if I'll be able to... To make it out sane."

" We'll make sure you don't go bonkers. We need you to stay in one piece, Lon, especially since none of us ever want to lose you again." Olivia said from behind Blake

The four girls stayed silent for a little while, until Babylon giggled softly.

" I missed you girls... Even though in my mind you were always here... I still really, really missed you."

" We missed you more."

" I honestly don't think that's possible."
