Chapter 22: Oliver & Marjorie
Chapter 22:
Oliver & Marjorie
Harry did not come to the boutique for three days. He is busy compiling his thesis, even though his mind is not really focused on the thesis. His mind was still on Jason's story and the dreams he had. Lately, Harry hasn't dreamed anything related to it anymore. Could it be that the dream that appeared a few days ago was the last?
Harry reached for the phone and looked for Jason's contact name. Without further ado, Harry sent a message to Jason. Since their meeting a few days ago, Harry and Jason have become close. That said, they're already friends.
Can we meet? At an ordinary place?
Shortly after the message was sent, Harry got a reply from Jason.
Sorry, I can't right now. My parents just arrived for a visit. How about next time?
Harry snorted at Jason's reply. In fact, Harry had longed for Jason to see him, because Harry really wanted to tell Jason about the dream he had.
Continue.
The soft voice echoed clearly in Harry's mind. Harry held his breath and sighed slowly. The girl's voice appeared and Harry really couldn't bear to meet her. It was strange. Harry has never been like this before. The curly haired young man got up from the bed and decided to meet the girl who kept invading his thoughts.
Harry was driving at above average speeds. When he left the house, there was no sign that his father and sister had returned. Des will be definitely coming home later at night, he said that yesterday at dinner. There is a lot of work that he cannot transfer to his subordinates and he has to do it himself. As for Gemma, it seems that she will stay at Robin's house, considering that now she can fully accept Robin's existence. Somehow Gemma changed her mind so quickly.
The car Harry was driving stopped near a park not far from the boutique. Harry always parks his car there, before sneaking up to the boutique. He went through the back door and immediately opened the door. The door opened and the room was pitch black. Harry turned on the light before casting his gaze in all directions.
"Babe?"
Harry called, not finding who he was looking for. Harry sighed and began to worry. He didn't find his Babe here. The young man walked out of the room and searched each room, until finally he found who he was looking for in a place Harry had never imagined.
His babe is locked up in a very narrow and stuffy stockroom. With a sitting position, curled up like a ball, her body shaking .
"Babe!"
Harry bent down and the girl turned her head. Her eyes are watery. The girl immediately rushed to hug Harry, very tight.
"What is it—"
“I don't know what happened, but someone put me in the stockroom this morning. They said, in the near future, they would destroy me. They'll take me to the incinerator." Harry's eyes widened. His arms hugged her back softly.
“Babe, who said that? You're staying here. Nobody will throw you out or even take you to the incinerator."
The girl let go of her embrace. Her eyes were watering and Harry had just realized one thing.
Her eyes. . . isn't her eyes blue?
"The security guards here know about me. They also know about you. Tomorrow, they're going to report it your mother. They will. . . they will get rid of me. " The girl slightly smiled, a sad smile.
Harry who broke from his clouded before focusing on calming the girl. “No, I won't let that happen. Babe, you're going to stay here. Trust me. "
The girl looked up, her cheeks stained with tears. Harry held his breath, before moving his hand to wipe away the tears.
The girl smiled slightly before saying softly, "I'm afraid. . . I'm afraid this will be my last night with you."
Harry's heart pierced at her words. Harry shook his head. “No, this won't be our last night. Trust me."
The girl smiled. "If this will be the last night, I'll finally tell you about my brief past life."
Harry was silent, lowering his head. "You don't. . . my dreams. . . "
The girl grabbed Harry's face softly, forcing Harry's green eyes to look and stare at her. . . currently brown eyes.
"I just want you to know that. . ." The girl sighed slowly before smiling faintly and continuing to say, "I was enchanted to meet you, Harry."
Something soft touched Harry's lips, sending the butterflies back into his stomach. After that, Harry did not understand what was happening but he seemed to enter another dimension, a place that he had been present in his dream.
━━
"Congratulations. Your wife is pregnant, Mr. Swift. " The husband and wife both gaped before they could not hide their smiles of happiness. The well-built man looked at his wife who looked teary. He wrapped his arms around his wife, engulfing her in a hug.
"Did you hear that, Majorie? You're pregnant. We're going to have a child!"
"I know, Oliver." The woman hugged her husband back.
The couple, who had just been married for six months, said goodbye to the nurse who checked on Majorie before leaving the tent. Tent? Yes, a tent. This is dangerous, indeed. But they are in South America, an area that is very vulnerable to attacks.
Oliver himself is a soldier, a war commander while his wife, Majorie, is one of the medical team. They met one year ago, when Oliver received minor gunshot wounds and Majorie was treating him. After that, the love between them blossomed, before finally marrying very simply until now, they will soon have a child.
"Look, I'm going to fly you to Nashville. I have lots of friends there. You will stay at my best friend's house." Oliver said as he stopped in his tracks. The man stood before Majorie who seemed to have widned her eyes.
“So you're leaving me in Nashville? But I want to be with you! " Majorie protested.
Oliver smiled faintly and cupped Majorie's face, who looked frantic. Their eyes met, Marjorie's chocolate-like eyes met Oliver's hazel ones.
“I promise, I'll visit you often, Majorie. I also don't want to miss our child's development." Oliver gently stroked Majorie's still flat stomach, before the hand turned back to the side of Majorie's face.
Oliver sighed. “You can't continue being in the medical team in your condition like this. You have to be safe. Whatever happens, you and our baby must be safe. I don't want to take the risk of letting you stay in this dangerous place."
Majorie shook her head and was about to dodge what her husband said but, before she could say anything, Oliver had already placed his lips on her lips, kissing her with affection. After that, Oliver released his kiss with a smile.
"I know we've been together for a while, but I didn't have the chance to say this the first time we met."
Oliver kissed every inch of Majorie's face before stopping and resting their foreheads together. The tips of their noses met, as well as their eyes which were only focused on one another.
"I was enchanted to meet you, Majorie."
