==========================================================

I was barely able to open my eyes, upon noticing someone grabbing one of my hands and pulling me into an embrace. Slamming into their chest, shook my lungs, which seemed to slightly ease my breathing. "Y-Yuna!" My eyes locked with a pair of emerald green.

My eyelids became heavy. The crimson-night sky sure was astounding. Alvad, why did he not stop him from coming? Hand shivering, I gently cupped the side of his cheek, and pressed my lips against his. Forgive me. It was hard to breath, but my mind could not bring itself to think straight anyway for the pain became numb by the relief spreading through me. I could feel some of my magic slightly transferring and leaving a trace over his lips. He is fine. Your fine. Everything is fine. This pain. . . This agony. . . It was for me to carry alone and only alone.

Hesitantly, he pulled away as my legs gave in, causing my body weight to weigh me down and collapse to the ground with his arms fastened around my back. A chuckle left my lips. It's funny to feel so vulnerable after obliterating a whole army of vengeful souls. I grimaced as I felt a sting piercing through my chest and doubling over the burning sensation that was overflowing with magic, which was corrupted due to the shadow souls and the guilt that had overwhelmed me. "Demon! Step away! This is no place for you to intrude!" was that Callen's voice?

Oh right, he and Satan . . . They have an unpleasant history with each other. I have to stop them, but my body did not move and instead kept trembling, while my lips remained sealed and only shuddered when I tried to speak.

"No,"

I whimpered, while clutching my chest against the flaring pain killing me. "S-stay . . . a-away," my voice trembled against the pain and squeezed my eyes closed to resist the agony.

"Yuna, you've overdone yourself, "I felt Satan slip one cold hand away from my back, and cup my left cheek. " You're burning up . . ."

"Right . . . Here," his index finger ran down to my neck." Your guilt and rage is blocking the circulation of the holy magic in your body . . . Yuna . . ."

I held onto his shoulders for support and shakily stood up with him following shortly. The winged-warrior summoned his silver-pole arm, and eyed the demon cautiously.

"Callen, put your weapon away, these are sacred grounds," Cordelia called out the frustrated warrior, whom lowered his weapon, but refused to put it away. "Stand down."

"All of you shut up!" I yelled lightly pushing Satan away and turning to Fallen , while taking in one deep breath. "No one . . . Is allowed . . . to touch him."

"But Lady Yuna, our tribes have been bound to despise demon kind since the beginning of time!" Callen grip on his pole arm tightened in resentment. "He tormented my men till the very end, and his kind devoured our people's souls instead of letting them rest in peace! He is a demon . . ."

"Didn't I tell you shut up?!" forcing my eyes open, I narrowed my eyes at him. "Those were your people Callen. Back then I did not even exist . . . Also, weren't you listening?! I'm tied down by a single sin, my guilt and rage is blocking my body's magic flow. Therefore . . ."

"I know," he barked in frustration, while gazing down at the ground in guilt." I knew since the beginning, that's why . . ."

" . . . We made a deal," a familiar, jolly voice interrupted.

Not far away from the scene stood Diavolo, Barbatos, and Lucifer with the rest of the demon brothers behind them. "What?! A deal with that guy?!" Mammon was first to question the young lord's words.

"What's the meaning of this Diavolo?" Lucifer's eyes knitted and held a troubled expression. "What do you mean by 'We made a deal'?"

They found us . . . How? My gaze landed to a shifting shadow in the distance. It could not possibly be . . . But before I could come to terms with what was happening, Alvad had already sneaked up behind the winged-warrior, and had a rusted blade, infused with miasma, pressed up against his neck. "The reason why Diavolo did not intrude on us, was because he already had someone on the inside reporting everything back to him," he spoke loud and clear, but voice dipped in pain. "Tsk tsk, so much for loyalty . . . Good thing I was warned and now ready to tear your head off!"

The demon's golden-eyes eyes glistened brightly against the red moonlight as he glanced over at Satan with a wide grin. "Guess the cat is out of the bag," I heard the blond chuckle behind me, before turning to Lucifer. "I'm just surprised you knew nothing of this dear brother."

"What a change in fate indeed," Cordelia finally intruded, giving Callen a downcast look, before turning her attention to Diavolo. "Demons are still cunning as ever, but I cannot allow you to take advantage of Yuna's state."

With a half-hearted smile, Diavolo opened his arms in a welcoming manner and spoke," I fear you misunderstand Miss Iris, I was just keeping an eye on anything that could act as an obstacle between the relationship held between the realms and keep it under control."

Just say I'm a threat. Why does he have to beat around the bush like that? Do I look like a pawn to him? Being able to persuade a warrior and pre-chief of the Dawn tribe. A chief of a warrior tribe . . . This demon, a true heir to the Demon Lord indeed. My breath shivered as I reached out to one of my daggers. "Diavolo . . ." I called out, as Satan wrapped an arm around my waist. "I respect you meant good to protect your people, but . . ."

My voice drowned as my gaze shifted back to Callen, pulling out my dagger, and pointing it at him, while stepping away from Satan" . . . But what urged you to betray me? What offer could have possibly been worth betraying your loyalty to me?!"

My rage was spilling out along with the frustration I had bottled up for the past few days. I could feel the orb's magic pushing me to stand straight, breath steady, and body moving smoothly. "No need to trouble yourself, my queen," Alvad spoke menacingly, inching his brownish-blade against Callen's neck, leaving a slight trail of blood to ooze out.

"That's enough!" a violet-magic circle appeared beneath the winged warrior and sent Alvad flying back to the ground. "This madness must come to an end!"

Simeon, Luke and Solomon stepped out of a portal that appeared at the center between all sides . . . with Death herself, Maria walkibg before the unexpected arriving group. "He is driven by his past suffering," she spoke, while looking at me straight in the eye. "When you woke him up from his deathly slumber of memories of agony, he was blinded by the past. Avenging his people, his men, and restoring his tribe back to life . . . He is nothing but a walking corpse living on fixing its past mistakes in vain."

The reaper held a cold gaze over everyone, until her eyes settled on Cordelia. " Ah lady Cordelia, how long has it been?" she smiled softly at the spirit, as she tossed a small, white, marble ball at Callen, that seemed to disintegrate the winged-warrior and absorb his soul, the last thing I saw was despair crossing his features.

"It has certainly been a while, old friend," the spirit gently smiled, before glancing over at me. "Yuna, I believe you're familiar with Maria?"

I grinded my teeth in pain and felt my grip on my dagger weaken. "Her body's magic flow is blocked," Maria spoke as if reading Satan's mind, while eyeing the blond demon. "Was this the demon, whom you said forced a kiss without your consent?"

Out of the corner of my eyes, I spotted Mammon shrinking behind Lucifer's larger figure. "Does it matter if the answer is yes?" I chuckled cheaply, before covering my mouth to cough out a handful of blood.

"Ah ah ah Yuna, telling lies now?" she smiled cheekily and traced her cold, pale fingers down my neck, between my collarbones, and to the glowing star-like figure under it. "A sin that's a blessing, but has no place in the heavens hmm."

She unlatched one of the half empty bottles of Reperotrates dangling from my belt, and glanced over at Satan. "We can reverse it, but I'm going to need a bit of your blood. Your hand if you don't mind?" she spoke calmly to Satan, whom showed no expression what so ever to the grim reaper and stretched out his hand, while his other remaining on my waist.

A smirk tugged the edges of Death's lips as she took the dagger from my hand, and slowly placed it over his casually outstretched palm. Despite my unbalanced state, I could still sense the cautious and life threatening auras emitting from Lucifer and Belphegor from the side-lines. The blades tip cut through the demon's skin and travelled to the left, letting the crimson red liquid that laid hidden under to spill out in its trail. The demon took in a slightly shivering breath, despite his tranquil features masking all the pain. "My name is Death, and I here forth lay this fallen sacred beast from the heavens, a feline from the world of man, and a conflicted soul loved by a demon, to hold balance between the three realms and tie her soul to that of a mortal reincarnated as wrath due to the burning sufferings of war . . ."

Her voice began to blur into my ears as I watched Satan's hand drip droplets of blood into the small bottle in Death's hand. . . Something at that moment made me feel relived and safe. Was it over? Or was I just disintegrating from this world? I waited and waited, thinking that at any moment, I would just forget everything and everyone. . . Just disappear. A chuckle sang into my ears and found myself opening my eyes once more to see . . . Micheal. He stood before me with a heart-warming smile on his soft and delicate features; smooth, short, white mullet slightly reaching his shoulders, and bright hazel eyes softly looking down at me. " Hehe you've grown up a lot Yuna, have you seen yourself yet?" He asked, before taking his hand into mine and looking around the white hall we stood in. "Hmm look here."

He was staring at something behind me and followed his gaze, to lay eyes on a reflection of myself. I was back in my plain, old, white shirt and shorts. My irises had turned into a deep-blvoal black colour and where the black curse marks once laid on my neck were now replaced with golden lines that looked similar to veins. . . .Then subconsciously, I tugged down the collar to lay my eyes over a white, four pointed star right under my collarbones at the center. "Yuna, the awakening of a beast warrior is no longer the same as the past," Micheal spoke behind me as I stood dazed before myself in the silver carved mirror. "Did you really think you were chosen just to lead the same kind of Lunalight warriors as in the past? Yuna, you were simply chosen to accomplish what you see right. Of course, you had a few flaws here and there, but. . . You still passed the test of the awakening. Even if Diavolo or Callen did not intrude, you were going to awaken your true form either way."

I then turned back to him, on only to be greeted with a blinding light and the angel's fading silhouette.

"Hmm, looks like someone is here, better wake up. Ow, and tell Lucifer I said hi!"
